One of the most boring, scammy, pump and dump coins I've ever seen.
You will never make it onto BTC-e, keep dreaming. Not without a huge bribe, anyway.
Sad you didn't buy in mate. WDC holding strong against BTC rises as usual. Yes world coin seems to be a survivor BUT I just tried to withdraw some from CRYPTSY and a big chunk of the WDC transferred were lost... like request 2699 WDC and Get ONLY 899 WDC. VERY ODD CRYPTSY!!! - digeros

Palmdetroit, when POW mining almost run its course what you planning to do with 50% of pos-mining? no economy will sustain 50% annual inflation...
That is ACTUALLY Mathematically WRONG because that would require that NO TRANSACTIONS OCCUR AT ALL, thus allowing ALL COINS to develop full Coin-age creating 50% inflation of the number of coins, which if distributed across the network (ie. held widely / democratically distributed vs. being issued by one issuer). So, transactions create a deflationary force counteracting this POS coin creation. PHS really needs more transactions, one of the quick ways to get more people interested in PHS would be for authors on REDDIT.COM to start accepting PHS. - digeros Yes this is quite right. Every time there is a transaction there is a loss of stake in some form, also people who log on once a month or less to generate stake , never update stake, lost coins, and some others, you would never see 50% inflation. The more transactions the less stake generation. Although inflation will still be 'high' to some, don't forget PHS will generate 33% or less coins from mining as originally intended as this is a huge offset to inflation. Also remember bitcoin, for example, had high coin inflation it's second year, which was offset by adoption and coin use. (there's more examples such as litecoin) Long term offsets could include destruction of fees or any number of other ways, but honestly the coin will sink or swim long term, if there is demand in the coin price will overcome even the 'on paper' inflation rates. Speaking of site adoption... I would love to see some sites add some games of chance using PHS... Which Sites Should I contact... I am not A GAMBLER more of a Systems Geek but I can write an MBA letter like Fashizzle ma brizzile. so Tell me who to contact... - digeros

Looks like Cryptsy are back on track. Deposits and withdrawals now working.
My test deposit showed up Yes, Cryptsy Seems to be up again. Palm is there any way to get a gauge on the POS hash-rate for the PHS network or does anything like that even exist??? I notice that the POW hashrate is lower but transactions are as fast as ever. Can you explain how POS relates to network hashrate? tanks -digeros

While watching chats go by on Crypto-related sites, I see people looking for free online wallets that are free for users (BTC and LTC wallets). I am very interested in helping fill said market gap in regards to MegaCoin. Can anyone provide some technical information in regards to how online wallet systems are created?
From the IT logic point of view and Online Wallet system is one in which all the Wallets (assigned to clients/users via creation of new wallet.dat with unique systematic naming ie. walletAAA000.dat linked to the account) Share the blockchain on the server (rec. mirroring of blockchain and doubling of nodes). The wallets is the only part crucial for download (CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG PLEASE) to the phone/mobile app as the coins are linked (owned) by/to the Wallet. So the back end of the system seems to only need to create each new users wallet and make sure the server blockchain is ALWAYS up to date and on the RIGHT FORK. does anyone else have something to add?? - digeros

Can I ask why this thread need to paste full of rambos, clowns and weirds stories of unicorns? If i have a company what selling lets say computers and someone ask to start use for payments megacoins and i go google about megacoins im really sure that scary me so long way away from cryptos than possible Why cant keep clean and appropriate serious discussion about Megacoin and project. Then that clowns to IRC channel or somewhere where that see only biggest Megacoin fans who dont scary pumpkins and skeletors........ Happy halloween to everyone If this is the type of RamboClown that is scared away by GIF's - ooo scary!! (BTW he can turn off graphics -loser / pretender to computer knowledge) -- and doesn't understand that TRULY creative people have a sense of humor and these gifs are our way of sharing our comic-relief clips and raising morale and CREATING COMMUNITY - the family that LAUGHS together Sticks together. This is not about some company coming in and buying US or our software - there is no really ownership here. *** This kid is so outside the crypto-currency anarcho-do-it-yourselfer democratic attitude we all like around here that i say DRIVE them all away with MORE GIFS... *** Especially, once we start celebrating the LAUNCH OF ALL these COOL NEW LINGO WEBSITES YEAH! (I'd put a gif here but I don't have the time to find an appropriate one - someone may add one here as appropriate or NOT . Where do i send some support for the bounties to all the REAL WORKERS OF THE WORLD??? Alienwalker, you the collector and giver?? PM Me -digeros

I opened a support ticket today and this is the response I received from cryptsy..
"We are currently working on the PHs wallet. We appear to have gotten on a forked blockchain and have not had much luck getting back. We did find a working block explorer and hope to have it resolved today
Happy trading!"
Looks like I am glad to have dumped this crap coin while I could..
To find yourself in a forked chain is not so much your fault I blame them for slow response though, and for not checking regularly. I'm not sure, never had these issues, well not since the good ole days of a hundred forks... but still with the updated code forking should not really be possible, even more odd is they seem to be the only one on that fork (no other reports) I am still waiting on a response to see what in fact has transpired so we can prevent it of course form ever happening again, I guess with such a huge amount of stake generations that could of caused some major client bloating... but this is of course speculation without information. My last good transaction (with cryptsy) was 10/15 anyone have anything good after that date, or better yet after the halving ? i also have opened a ticket with Cryptsy the last good trans i got from them is this one: Status: 8196 confirmations Date: 10/21/2013 15:03 From: unknown To: 9psbdyb9PBWRX3ZjhzuniMqmTByaqubB9E (own address, label: CryptsyOut) Credit: 5372.99 PHS Net amount: +5372.99 PHS Transaction ID: 4cd42b4f54123cc3f3a34ff8306e39b922e77af251e63fe66b500613728cdffb Blockcrawler shows that trans correctly. - digeros never had a problem with trans between my own wallets, lightning fast and sure. Do you think that cryptsy is allowing people to generate POS stakes on their servers wallets? That could create all sorts of micro transaction traffic that the EXCHANGE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SUPPORT and runs the risk of creating a powerful "Island of HASH" that could create an isolated fork!!! IMHO -digeros

I'll throw whatever's left through Google translate and try to get people to confirm via different sources.
It will take more time to fix that than to write a translation from scratch. Seriously. Never use Google Translate for anything that other people might see. It's just bad. ARE Yandex.ru translations any better esp. for Cyrillic languages??? -digeros

Hi Kimoto, hope all is well on your end as well.
Is there anything further we need crowd sourcing for on your end, or is all according to plan?
So far I have:
-New Donation buttons - current projected target is 500 MEC per design but don't want to get over run! -Banner Ad/Sidebar ad - 500 MEC per design. -Translating Languages for main website - offering 500 MEC to start off per language translated but can raise this as some languages are harder than others if not using autotranslate software. -Support forum to attach to main website - ethought, I will leave this with you and kimoto, am happy to offer moderation in the future as am always around. -Apps/Websites/Exchanges/Marketplace Etc.. - Offering 2000 MEC currently but can always raise this depending on the project.
Good day.
Alien Walker... Are those bounties for winning designs or what exactly? I might try my hand at the banners. - digeros

Positive losses... cant believe I just found a Block with only my one GPU running (burned the other's fan) ...did hash rate fall last night>

I guess the OP better be anonymous. Else, any sorting whatsoever will get him hate and threats.
That's why instead of everyone trying to push their own favorite alts up we should establish some objective criteria for categorizing coins. From the top of my head: * age (reason: newcomers have to prove themselves before they can be taken seriously) * hashrate (reason: measure of community support, albeit questionable. Tricky due to variety of algorithms, PoW/PoS differences etc.) * trade volume at exchanges (reason: measure of market support) * market cap (reason: measure of market support, albeit questionable without significant trade volume) * transaction volume per day (reason: measure of usefulness, but questionable) Ideas, anyone? Excellent Idea!!! Now we just need to turn those DATA POINTS into Some SCORE Age in Days Blockchain active = ###### Days (up to 400 years old) hashrate in MH/s = ####### Mh/s (up to Petabytes) Market Cap in USD thousands$ = ####### (up to billions $) Trade volume has to be standardized to BTC Value of Exchange of Alt Coin = ###### BTC Value of Daily Exchange Trades Transactions per day or per block? = ###### absolute number or avg. trans./block? I would be very interested in working with others on such a tool ... - digeros

I'm mining PHS in your pool. I'm trying to understand PHS. What is PoS and being paid interest? Do I have to leave coins in wallet? Does the pool earn interest? What about double payout for first 5 days. Is that solo mining or the pool, or was that 5 days a year ago? POS is Proof of Stake and depends on coin-age, so coins must "rest" in a wallet (like savings). I believe most wallets on servers/Pools are not "Unlocked" for POS generation, so if you want to get your POS coins, you should bring all your coins together in a main wallet on your machine and unlock the wallet regularly to receive your POS coins. To get POS shares (from a password protected wallet), unlock your wallet with the console command : walletpassphrase PASSWORD 999999 true Yes the double payout was for the first five days of the BlockChain (to promote the POS side of the network by creating enough coin age to matter)- so long gone are those days. -digeros

Great news dig, thanks!
Have your friends and/or socks nominated you for any new junk coins lately ? How about one for DMD ? What's up with DMD? Someone was pming me their plans to take over development, I'm guessing that never materialized? I didn't create either coins, just updated broken code. Either way lots of alts are in trouble as of late it would seem. Palm you Rocked the repair of PHS... BRAVO! Wanted to report on my network connections: BTC 36 peers PHS 31 peers MEC 23 peers I really have to figure out why my laptop always has way more connections than my mining Rig??? PHS 11 connections MEC 8 connections - digeros

Sooooooooooooooo, I'm only *slightly* concerned that it's been such a long time since we have heard anything from kimoto. Especially with altcoins going in the dumpster as much as they are the past couple of days and bitcoin poised to only push higher and higher. Still holding the bag, it's just getting heavier and heavier though....
the seeming decline in Alt coin Prices lately is beecause of not, in spite of BitCoin's PHENOMENAL Climb in the last few days. the Altcoin markets just can't keep up, but the REAL price of your ALTCoins is the same although when translated into BTC the "integer" is lower... once translated out to fiat currency All Alt coin prices have been maintained or risen with BTC. -digeros

Never mind people... here is a quote from the site... "The PHS pool will be closed the 31/10/2013, please withdraw your PHS before this date". sure glad I NEVER threw that guy any hash with that kind of commitment while keeping Phenixcoin and CGB and hobonickels... WTF Mostly because he has done nothing to really promote either his mining pool or the coins he has invested building pools for... his failure, not PHS's -digeros

Block halving is soon Great to see such good level of mining (300Mh/s) even when the profitability according to CC is so low. I think people have decided that PHS is a keeper and are mining whether it is profitable at the moment or not... LIKE ME! -digeros
