I like the fact that MEC is referred to as Carolina Credits What reference??? and Anoncoin is referred to as A Lennon Coin WTF??? "Carolina credits (MEC) market A Lennon credits (ANC) market" -digeros Releasing in a few hours is the Official Chinese Website. Megacoin phonetically in Mandarin is 美卡币. By definition, these characters can mean: 美 - Beautiful, Perfect, America 卡 - Block, Card, Credit Card 币 - Currency, Money, Coin Have a nice day! -Dr Kimoto Chan I believe it's just google translate grabbing the first appropriate word? 'Carolina' instead of 'Credit' or 'Currency' Not too sure. Yes it must be a faulty translator, No disrespect meant on my part Dr. Chan. Thank you for the lovely translations of your ancient and complex language. So an appropriate translation would instead have Mega or Large pictogram IMHO. but as it stands now it translates to Beautiful Block Coin or Perfect Block Coin. I would vote for Beautiful Block Coin because of the glorious and beautiful way blocks are steadily produced no matter the network hashrate fluctuations thanks to the mysterious and highly effective Gravity Well algo. PS. Not to mention how odd it is to me that the pictogram for 美 - Beautiful, Perfect, America is all the same... unfortunately, America is neither Perfect nor Beautiful these days, IMHO.

What happened to SexCoin in the list? Booo !!! Bring it back please I had a specific request from the coin development team to temporarily remove it to deal with a network issue. I will see if I can add it back in now. Nope, it hasn't reached the hardfork yet, where the difficulty retargeting will be changed and it will be more resistant to "flash mining".. Thank you once again for your assistance, you've been really gracious and helpful towards us, F$%# SexCoin and all the other shitcoins that are gumming up the works... I wish coinchoose would just stop listing coins that have less than 20Mh/s networks, because they are too unstable and monitoring them is a WASTE of Computing Power!!!! The reason I say this is that COINCHOOSE is TOO DELAYED in it reporting to be of any use whatever. Look at this The last trade on Cryptsy.com for PHS 2013-09-23 12:07:13 Buy 0.00003300 447.00000000 0.01475100 and coinchoose at 13:06 is reporting price from cryptsy WRONG Philosopherstone Philosopherstone scrypt 42772 6.51492 64 0.00003137 Cryptsy 138.81% 134.15% 179.02% 218.19 MH/sec 217.52 MH/sec AN HOUR LATER!!! I told myself I wouldn't sell any MEC till January at the earliest, but it is mighty tempting to sell at this price! Keep going MEC!!!!
We haven't seen anything yet. When we pass up FTC I will be impressed, but I won't be selling. I believe Megacoin has a much bigger destiny. I wouldn't be holding FTC- looks like its about to fall out of bed. I don't have any, never did, but looking at the charts, I would guess you would be better off trading your FTC for MEC or even some ANC, for the possibility of their DEV implementing ZEROCOIN first or in parallel with MEC. -digeros.

As we speak of top down economics failure... I would set the Bitcoin Economy Minimum Wage for general labor at about 0.10 BTC / hour- About $13.00/ hour in the USA. - which is still lower than the $16 an hour estimated IF the minimum wage had kept up with productivity in the USA or the $21/hour estimated IF the minimum wage had been linked to the MONEY SUPPLY increases since its inception. remember this is a CASH for LABOR price without all the limits and demands and security of official wages (ie. unemployment insurance, disability, etc.)... perhaps it should be higher possibly 0.15 BTC / hour. I would like to hear people from other nations do a similar calculation into their local currency and see if it transfers. - digeros

oh... my... god.... lack of privacy is a bitch huh... It really is bad, not just for American public for their loss of the their 4th amendment rights, worse is the stall on innovation due to entrepreneurs fear of trade secret theft in development. Plus just as Europe will not buy the American Genetically Modified Organizisms (GMO's) like our corn, so will other nations refuse to do business with American Software and American Internet Service Providers. right Now you can probably make a fortune SHORT SELLING the biggest American Cloud Computing Company (ORacle, IBM, CISCO, Microsoft). THIS WILL ONLY ADD TO THE collapse of the USA and the AMerican Petrol Dollar. Check this video out from my bud MAX ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wsZHNdQLvOU-digeros

Yes Alien, This is one of the reasons a lot of us are in bitcoin... Check out my best source of info. on the finance markets Max keiser not sure which episode. BUT they ALL are great analysis with a touch of angry humor about the insanity of the financial-isation of the whole economy. KEENES was wrong, REAGAN was Wrong, AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LIBERTARIAN philosophy is WRONG, TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS is WRONG and leads to deprivation, poverty and eventually social unrest. http://www.maxkeiser.com/try this one::: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=GLQbAvK9Wws Discussions of America's Banker "PRINCES", the TRIPLE TEQUILA STRIPPING of the AMERICAN PUBLIC SPACE and COMMON INFRASTRUCTURE (look at Detroit - This is the Future for America, unless Americans Wake UP!!!) POS would be GREAT I think that it adds stability to the network although everyone touts that it prevents 51% POW attacks I think that the added stake generation load helps to even out difficulty jumps. If you implement POS, I personally would like to see a POS system that doesn't generate too much dust but which has an annual interest rate that is interesting enough to motivate people to open their wallets just to receive POS shares (adding stability to the network - why shouldn't they be "paid" a little something). Perhaps a POS interest rate of 15-25% should be enough to be interesting without being hyperinflationary - remember coins that move do not become part of POS until they have been idle in a wallet 10 days (or whatever). Also I would like to see a POS system that prevented dust by gathering up potential POS shares and submitting them to the network on a 3 or 4 hour cycle - this would prevent a lot of interest on interest payments that expand the blockchain without great benefit thus reducing dust... -digeros PS. hey ANC people, anyone interested in having drinks and discussion about cryptocurrencies, i am buying the first pitcher of beer. http://www.meetup.com/Elk-Grove-ButtonWood-CryptoCurrency-Trading-Discussion/in Elk Grove, California tonight and weekly about 5 miles south of sacramento. - digeros

Is anyone else both mining and buying MEC simultaneously? That's where I'm at. Just in case you're wondering where that dumped MEC is actually going. I've got plenty of BTC to buy MEC with, and there are only 18m coins, so keep dumping - it's like the dumpers are doing all of the hard work for me (or us?). I don't mind it at all, I hope the price stays low as the dumpers wallets run dry. ME TOO!!! Yes, I have been mining and buying, just got 5 fig in MEC, I also like PHS as a sort of savings account coin with its POS, It seems that Anoncoin and MegaCoin are in the race to be the first to implement the Zerocoin protocol but still prefer MEC over ANC for its faster network and it's better DIFF algo. ANC Diff fluctuates from 250K up to 2.3 million - INSANE (someone got a graphic?) while MEC treks on steadily climbing in DIFF and absorbing all aberrations in network hash-rate without a hiccup... -digeros Also if it is cocktail hour where you are you are in my zone... hey MEC people, anyone interested in having drinks and discussion about cryptocurrencies, i am buying the first pitcher of beer. http://www.meetup.com/Elk-Grove-ButtonWood-CryptoCurrency-Trading-Discussion/in Elk Grove, California tonight and weekly about 5 miles south of sacramento. - digeros
