yes good drown out all those bad nodes  When I look at getpeerinfo IS there any way to determine if one of those nodes is propagating a bad blockchain??? for example should I compare the last block rec'd and get rid of the ones that are far behind??? Just a heads up to miners (and solo miners). I did some update to increase connectivity and also added back upnp to the Qt client, will have a windows bin later today or tomorrow with these upgrades. being on the new client and with these updates will ensure your submitted blocks don't get 'rejected' source ready at: https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstoneAlso of note to miners: there is a problem with difficulty being too high and if/when this can be fixed will let you know before the new client comes out to prepare for lots more coins. stay tuned. Ill upgrade the pool with that source, is it safe to just replace the binary? Get a clean chain ! Remember orphans and forks are cause by the older clients/nodes so this will help with that, also the next update will reduce risk of fork/orphan moreso. Chain should update very fast this time too. Thanks to Palmdetroit and Balthazar for fixing a bug in the 1.2 code. I tested Palmdetroit's new client, my wallet seems sync fine without any issues. This looks like a good client to me, so I updated the windows download link below and also the source link. I will fix the official source later when I am back from the travel. Everyone please use the new client and source and let's create no more confusions on this coin.
GREAT JOB PalmDetroit and Balthazar for the fix of the QT (seems to work perfectly) and GLad to See John DID NOT abandon the coin (he just has a REAL LIFE!!! - GOOD going John for a really well configured coin that even survived such a hiccup (it is a hiccup, not a disaster - created by an excited mining crowd). I think this coin with its fast transactions confirmations, moderate block generation rate and strong POS generation will stabilize this blockchain over time. did you somehow lower the transaction fee paid... that can slow or lock the transaction as few servers want to take low transaction fees to process a trans into a block. digeros |

Copy back your wallet file. Not sure how to do that?
Dragging the naclup file onto the client says URI cannot be parsed
To copy back your wallet: put the file "backupwallet".dat you made into the Appdata/roaming/philosopherstone/ directory and rename it wallet.dat. When you start up again, I am pretty sure, it will re-create the index file. Then you should see you balances. BTW::: WTB 1000PHS @0.1BTC any takers? |

Which version you guys using? 1.1 or 1.2? I guess 1.2 is the one to use?
Try 1.2. I installed 1.2 on a new machine and I'm trying to sync it. It's sitting at 6084, but I'm going to let it run overnight and see if it can get on the right chain. If enough of us get on the right chain, this fork will be a thing of the past. Key is the pools, we should keep the same versions as used by the pools. Could do with some more hashing power at http://www.miningpool.co Minar.cc is now an excellent pool and congrats to sheinsha for being the first, and restarting the pool after the disaster of the past few days. I think i just solo mined a block into the ETHER... my ports were mixed up and the block was found and accepted but never arrived in the wallet.... Where would it go??? Orphan, Its running under 10 second blocks at the moment. Lets hope none of the pools fork.. I am thinking of creating aLogo for this coin but to differentiate it from the Anon hacker group I want to add a sort of Slogan to the anoncoin logo: - "AnonCoin - Currency of the Darknet"

I think a P2P Pool would be awesome right now since the blocks are so fast You are pushing the envelope of Block speed with this coin. 70 seconds and only 3 confirmations make a fast TRADING coin instead of a store of value... there is compromise between speed of transactions and speed of mining early blocks. I solo mined for about twenty minute and got a block... but the DIFF is all over the place on the network. Stability of the coin and infrastructure will likely be tested in this naive stage... so TRUE believers/supporters should keep their server wallets open to process transactions and be actively mining coin, if possible to prevent a 51% POW attack. - digeros |

Also, My POS shares are coming through at the Tenth day paying an immature dividend type payment of around 1.2% of the coins matured on the day ten days ago... this works out to around 3.6% predicted monthly interest rate.... POS is working GREAT... I think this coin is really a potential challenge to savings accounts.... Now if we as a community could agree on what to spend it on... Since the interest rate is relatively high for Holding the currency then the projects should have potential for EVEN GREATER returns... There's the rub... What projects can compete with 50% interest annually? only inventive and creative projects with a real potential of creating a cashflow... What do people think of a KickStarter.com that works in Bitcoin and PHS? -- digeros Simple just use PoW coins for that and PoS for savings. A hybrid with low % interest is a good middle ground, high interest return best for store of value, imo - time will tell. getting an interest payment each 10 days on unmoved coins is better than a savings account because it is more regular in payment than just every 30 days...on an averaged balance... and getting 0.25% APR on your deposit... |
