 I do not see the coins?

Dang!

It has fixed itself! The wallterrepair had to be down on old wallet!

Booya!  Digeros pls provide wallet for help payment!

Well now it is moving my coins from balance to stake....

I am sure that will take a while to correct

the net is quite quick I notice stakes made then within about two hours unlocked and POS credit given.  so patience let it give you the credits first... digeros

Yep, 42 connections on the first, and 11 on the second wallet. Thank you!.

yes good drown out all those bad nodes  Grin

When I look at getpeerinfo IS there any way to determine if one of those nodes is propagating a bad blockchain???

for example should I compare the last block rec'd and get rid of the ones that are far behind???

"addr" : "76.XXX.XXX.XXX:50505",
"services" : "00000001",
"lastsend" : 1376523374,
"lastrecv" : 1376523713,

"subver" : "/Satoshi:0.7.2/",
"inbound" : true,
"releasetime" : 0,
"startingheight" : 12045,
"banscore" : 0

digeros

When I type it in a I see about 20-30% giving bad info typically they are kinda grouped on the same blocks

9346 is def people running the bugged 1.2 the well known 6084, etc

in field "startingheight"

there is so many on wrong chains... that is the big problem... not sure why,

SO, it is the STARTING HEIGHT THAT SHOULD MATCH ACROSS THE NETWORK???

I am running V1.2 Beta and MOST of my nodes last rec'd are all within about 10-20 blocks of each other so I guess that all of them are really OK. digeros

Just a heads up to miners (and solo miners).  I did some update to increase connectivity and also added back upnp to the Qt client, will have a windows bin later today or tomorrow with these upgrades. being on the new client and with these updates will ensure your submitted blocks don't get 'rejected'  source ready at:

https://github.com/palmd/philosopherstone

Also of note to miners: there is a problem with difficulty being too high and if/when this can be fixed will let you know before the new client comes out to prepare for lots more coins.

stay tuned.

I thought the rise in DIFF was unusual for such a Young Blockchain... is this slowing mining of new Coin???  Should it self adjust as blocks are delayed from expected mining schedule???  please keep us uptodate...THanks for the Great work.

Everybody make sure to upgrade, the 1.2 client had a nasty bug!  Cry

there still problems with all sorts of old nodes on the network but if most upgrade this will be resolved.

Ill upgrade the pool with that source, is it safe to just replace the binary?

Get a clean chain !

Remember orphans and forks are cause by the older clients/nodes so this will help with that, also the next update will reduce risk of fork/orphan moreso.

Chain should update very fast this time too.

Support for PHS in Alt Coins List.... Here is the mess I sent to XORXOR of the alt coins BBS:

XORXOR,

I think that the new coin Philosopherstone has gotten ALOT of community around it for such a new coin,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263744.0
although we dont have an explorer, and barely an exchange - recently PalmDetroit and Balthazar stepped in and did a great job of adding the needed checkpoints and some other mods to the QT while the developer was on an international biz trip.  This is a GREAT coin, NO premine, FAir Launch, the Blockchain has worked through the initial POW POS difficulty conflicts and mining difficulty is stabilizing.
 Each normal block has 64 Philosopherstone
   - 2 minutes block time
   - Difficulty retargets every block
   - Mining payout will be halved every 3 months (or every 64800 blocks)
   - Expected total mined coins will be 8,891,840 Philosopherstones
   - 4 confirmations for transactions
   - 50 confirmations for minted blocks
   - Support transaction message
   - Maximum number of Philosopherstones to be generated is 2 billion

   - Random bonus blocks are (on average):
      - 1 superblock of 512 Philosopherstones every day
      - 1 superblock of 128 Philosopherstones every hour (24 such blocks per day)
   - When getting superblocks, different images will displayed, so it is easy to see.

POOLs:

PHS.minar.cc
https://www.miningpool.co/

So, in Conclusion, I think that PhilosopherStone - PHS is really a good candidate that has risen from PUrgatory to the status of Alt-Coin Candidate

sincerely,  Digeros

Send Him one too, If you agree,  so that PHS will rise in that list that SO MANY People look at from PUrgatory to Candidate List.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Philosopherstone - PHS | No Premine | Mandatory update 1.2Beta1 on: August 14, 2013, 07:39:21 PM
Thanks to Palmdetroit and Balthazar for fixing a bug in the 1.2 code. I tested Palmdetroit's new client, my wallet seems sync fine without any issues. This looks like a good client to me, so I updated the windows download link below and also the source link. I will fix the official source later when I am back from the travel. Everyone please use the new client and source and let's create no more confusions on this coin.

GREAT JOB PalmDetroit and Balthazar for the fix of the QT (seems to work perfectly) and GLad to See John DID NOT abandon the coin (he just has a REAL LIFE!!! - GOOD going John for a really well configured coin that even survived such a hiccup (it is a hiccup, not a disaster - created by an excited mining crowd).  I think this coin with its fast transactions confirmations, moderate block generation rate and strong POS generation will stabilize this blockchain over time.  Thanks to goodness and good admin habits - ALL my mined Coins ARE TRUE on the TRUE BLOCKCHAIN YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!

I think I see the light at the end of this little tunnel.  digeros

LOL you have seen through my rouse!!! haha,  Grin   I  actually think the bottom value for the PHS is at least 0.08 per 1000 PHS

BUT
Do I have to try and setup a block explorer myself???
or do we have a PYTHON expert that can do it... I am willing to learn Python if I ABSOLUTELY have to.  - digeros

Yep I totally agree people should sell us all their worthless PHS 100k per .01 BTC before it's too late

Yes learn it, I messed with it a lil bit but needs more time to setup then I have

YES IT is SCARY SCARY,  I am SO Glad I so sold ALL mine Wink but I may be willing to buy some again for the right price.  Wink
THESE Things could be completely worthless in less than a day (maybe)

YES BAil out now SELL SELL SELL -  I will catch you for 0.01BTC  per 10,000 PHS  ( a better offer than that Scondrel - PalmDetroit LOL) and take my chances (like a man) -digeros

{
"wallet check passed" : true
}

additional data.  The transaction was between client 1.0 and client 1.2 without being synced.

if I use old wallet, the transaction id is e916fe7bde22e43a87c3b4f9222d512629f16cb80473f5e2a6726afb82841cdc , but it has 0 confirms.

Maybe this is clue to you?

did you somehow lower the transaction fee paid... that can slow or lock the transaction as few servers want to take low transaction fees to process a trans into a block.

Copy back your wallet file.  Not sure how to do that?

Dragging the naclup file onto the client says URI cannot be parsed

To copy back your wallet:  put the file "backupwallet".dat you made into the Appdata/roaming/philosopherstone/ directory and rename it wallet.dat.  When you start up again, I am pretty sure, it will re-create the index file.  Then you should see you balances.

BTW::: WTB 1000PHS @0.1BTC  any takers?
273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Philosopherstone - PHS | No Premine | Mandatory update 1.2 before Aug 9. on: August 13, 2013, 12:57:19 AM
Which version you guys using? 1.1 or 1.2? I guess 1.2 is the one to use?

Try 1.2.  I installed 1.2 on a new machine and I'm trying to sync it.  It's sitting at 6084, but I'm going to let it run overnight and see if it can get on the right chain.

If enough of us get on the right chain, this fork will be a thing of the past.

Key is the pools, we should keep the same versions as used by the pools.

Could do with some more hashing power at http://www.miningpool.co

Minar.cc is now an excellent pool and congrats to sheinsha for being the first, and restarting the pool after the disaster of the past few days. For now, I'm going to aim my modest hashpower at miningpool.co to spread it around.

ethought: Where do the donations go, to you or the dev? I'm not donating to the dev.

Thanks for your kind words  Wink You are welcome back any time

I have to Chime in and say BRAVO Sheisha for not abandoning the community of PHS and getting his POOL going and working Perfectly so FAST... Just got my first 100PHS from minar.cc perfect functioning no problems...

WHATS THE BOUNTY FOR A BLOCKEXPLORER???

NOW... WHAT IS THE STORY WITH THE BLOCK EXPLORER FOR PHS?Huh  I will add 100PHS to the BOUNTY for the first functioning PHS Blockexplorer to get going... ANY ONE WANT TO ADD Huh

"Encrypt We Trust" is silly as its horrible gramar Tongue "In Encryption We Trust"
  That was intentional  IT is a play on "In God we Trust" -> IN Crypt We Trust >>> Encrypt We Trust.. Also I am thinking graphically and "In Encryption We Trust" becomes a bit long for the graphic.  The coin and the Darknet are Encrypted... It is Encryption in Which We Trust .... But do we need to tell the whole world??? - digeros

I agree with K1773R on this one. All input is good input at this point though so keep em coming Wink

If we get a a few more suggestions we can run a poll to have the community vote their favorite(s), then create a design or three to put up for a final vote?

You are right... in that case, lets just toss the double phonetic "In En.." and change it to "Encryption We Trust."

ummm wow! that network grew fast...lol I guess everyone is happy to finally see the difficulty change!! wooot

 I think i just solo mined a block into the ETHER... my ports were mixed up and the block was found and accepted but never arrived in the wallet.... Where would it go???

Orphan, Its running under 10 second blocks at the moment. Lets hope none of the pools fork..

I am thinking of creating  aLogo for this coin but to differentiate it from the Anon hacker group I want to add a sort of Slogan to the anoncoin logo:

  • "AnonCoin - Currency of the Darknet"
  • "AnonCoin - The Darknet Currency"
  • "AnonCoin - In Stealth We Trust"
- BroTroxer suggestion I LIKE
  • "AnonCoin - In NoOne We Trust"
  • "AnonCoin - Encrypt We Trust"
  GEtting Closer...

[/list]

Any Ideas,,, Anyone??? thanks.  digeros

Great initiative digeros. Let's hope the community can come up with a couple more suggestions for a slogan. Adding one suggestion myself "AnonCoin - In Stealth We Trust"
To go a bit off topic; anonymous is not really a hacker group, but more of an activist group made up of a bunch of random people. Some of these randoms just utilize "hacker attacks" to make their voices louder than the usual silent protesters.

  • "AnonCoin - Currency of the Darknet"
  • "AnonCoin - The Darknet Currency"
  • "AnonCoin - In Stealth We Trust"
- BroTroxer suggestion I LIKE
  • "AnonCoin - In NoOne We Trust"
  • "AnonCoin - Encrypt We Trust"
  GEtting Closer...

[/list]

If we get seven choices we can do a quicky poll  I currently like "AnonCoin - Encrypt We Trust"

We should get pool for Copperbars maybe?
Difficulty alredy high for solo miners.

Lol, "difficulty" : 0.00043538,

That's not even close to too high for solo miners. But yes, I agree, we need a pool or two. I think a P2P Pool would be awesome right now since the blocks are so fast

You are pushing the envelope of Block speed with this coin.  70 seconds and only 3 confirmations make a fast TRADING coin instead of a store of value... there is compromise between speed of transactions and speed of mining early blocks.  I solo mined for about twenty minute and got a block... but the DIFF is all over the place on the  network.   Stability of the coin and infrastructure will likely be tested in this naive stage... so TRUE believers/supporters should keep their server wallets open to process transactions and be actively mining coin, if possible to prevent a 51% POW attack.  - digeros
279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Philosopherstone - PHS | No Premine | Mandatory update 1.2 before Aug 9. on: August 11, 2013, 07:41:15 AM

nice finally diff getting resonable.... Also, My POS  shares are coming through at the Tenth day paying an immature dividend type payment of around 1.2% of the coins matured on the day ten days ago... this works out to around 3.6% predicted monthly interest rate.... POS is working GREAT... I think this coin is really a potential challenge to savings accounts.... Now if we as a community could agree on what to spend it on... Since the interest rate is relatively high for Holding the currency then the projects should have potential for EVEN GREATER returns... There's the rub... What projects can compete with 50% interest annually?Huh only inventive and creative projects with a real potential of creating a cashflow... What do people think of a KickStarter.com that works in Bitcoin and PHS?  -- digeros

Simple just use PoW coins for that and PoS for savings. A hybrid with low % interest is a good middle ground, high interest return best for store of value, imo - time will tell.

getting an interest payment each 10 days on unmoved coins is better than a savings account because it is more regular in payment than just every 30 days...on an averaged balance... and getting 0.25% APR on your deposit...
