Do you think that STABLECOINS are needed in the future of crypto payments?

If you have an opinion on this subject, leave a comment, or follow this link and cast your vote Wink https://twitter.com/CP_Processor/status/993797972860301312

I surely find stable coins very useful for many crypto projects, which prefer to use crypto before fiat for certain purposes, such as creating reserve funds for instance.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Bounty Guide for Newbies and Old Bounty Hunters 100% effective! on: May 22, 2018, 09:53:21 AM
We all know that there are newbies out there that want to learn how to Bounty and some already doing bounty but its difficult for them, so guys I will share to you some guides and simple tips about how to find a good bounty that is worth it and really paying.

Before you join a bounty take a look first the company website, all bounty campaign have an official ANN Thread you can click there and click the website of the company, find the team behind the project and always do your own research, and also you can always use the Google search, don't just join all bounty because some bounty will not work and results to pause, cancel because they did not reach the soft cap, (soft cap is the minimum fund need by the company to continue the project and the hard cap is the target fund of the company or the maximum fund needed) thats simple explaination about softcap and hardcap Cheesy, anyway I will share now some good tricks and tips how to get a good bounty doing this for months and it is really worth it.

This is the most Common Thread that bounty hunters go hunting bounty, almost all of the bounty hunter here already know this place
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

Not all bounty in that thread are good and legit so you need to choose a good and reputable Bounty Manager (Bounty Managers are the person who manages the campaign) Based on my experience these are the managers that I will recommend to you all
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3085997.0 if these guys will start a new campaign you know what to do  Wink but always read the rules because every bounty manager has different rules.

Another one to make sure that you will join a worth it campaign and not a bad campaign go to this website
https://icobench.com/
all of the ICO's in this site has a rating based on the factors like the team, the platform and more, I will recommend 4.0 above the higher rating the  better, 3.9 below is also good but double check the project and again do your own research always, you can see if the project has a bounty available just by clicking the ICO and you can see it on the right side, example image below.

Another good website is this one https://icodrops.com/ this is my favorite website because you can see on this site the upcoming ICO's and the amount of money they raised from ICO if the project already reached the soft cap that is a good sign to jump in because we all know that this is a really paying bounty and worth your time.

that's all for now folks! Cheesy I will update this thread every time I find new one about bounty I hope this Thread will help newbies, anyway sorry for my bad English, not a native English speaker

For Filipino and not that good in English read this thread in the Filipino language here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3718913

We all know that we cannot ask for merit but if someone will find this thread helpful I will really Appreciate it  Smiley

Feel free to ask questions I will answer it if I have extra time, Happy Hunting! Cheesy

yes I often do the same thing, looking for bounty projects on icobench first to make sure the project is genuine as they do KYC on the founders, which saves me precious time.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam coins everywhere. on: May 22, 2018, 09:51:59 AM
Scam is the scourge of the whole crypto community. If this problem could be solved, the crypto currency would have a bright future.

I don't think this needs to get solved for crypto community to thrive. It's natural that scammers are attracted by crypto, it simply says that it's good business. I don't think we will ever get rid of them
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why many banks hate cryptocurrency ? on: May 21, 2018, 08:53:57 AM
Most of the nbanks don't want competition and since they are being regulated by the central bank they would prefer an equal playing field with bitcoin for competition and since bitcoin is decentralized and that isn't possible they see it as a threat and are therefore fighting tooth and nail to oust it from the fiancial system.

exactly. When that happens and equal playing field is set, bitcoin will easily speed through the banks leaving them miles in behind, that is why they're even more afraid I guess
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason why we really need Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2018, 08:52:50 AM
Why do we really need Bitcoin?
I am a secretive and confidential escapee. I hate keeping money in safes with passwords or depositing money in banks that fear bank bankruptcy. I need bitcoin, will no one have control over my bitcoin account, unlike other electronic money systems, you may be locked account, frozen property. With bitcoin you own the private key, with a separate bitcoin address. No one manages and controls accounts outside of you.
And you?

I'm not sure if that is the crucial advantage of bitcoin, as with fiat you can simply hold the cash at home for instance, which could be the same as holding bitcoin in your computer.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚛️ [ANN] Bitcoin Atom - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Atomic Swap Powered ⚛️ on: May 21, 2018, 08:50:51 AM
https://www.forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2018/05/14/30-real-examples-of-blockchain-technology-in-practice/4/#58d22e18100e

"Bitcoin Atom —A new fork of Bitcoin that allows everyone to easily exchange cryptocurrencies without any trading fees and no exchange hacks, making Bitcoin truly decentralized again. The technology is based on atomic swaps—an invaluable tool for exchanging one cryptocurrency with another (e.g. 1000 BTC with 56500 LTC) and no need for a trusted third party. But currently, widespread adoption of atomic swaps has been prevented because they require highly technical skills; something Bitcoin Atom will solve." ~Forbes

WOW! Bitcoin Atom in Forbes means that the projects is finally getting the recognition it deserves and that is even before the AS GUI release, I'm super excited what will be next
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Counting of number of posts on signature campaign on: May 19, 2018, 06:52:28 PM
Due to some old posts has been deleted from time to time. Minimum post of 15 are going to become 20 or more because some bounty manager are counting the total post minus the previous week posts. Though you posted 25 post in one week, sometimes if you are unlucky you will not receive stakes because the total posts are less.

Do you agree that bounty manager team must count only the recent posts in the inclusive days of the week?

I'm exactly facing your problem, I was really wondering why I didn't get my stakes for certain months, then I went to check and I really noticed my posts were not in the numbers I was sure they were. It was like 3 weeks after.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange for beginner? on: May 19, 2018, 06:51:14 PM
I was away from crypto for years and now I'm trying to get back into the game.  I was really STUNNED that there is no exchange, even after many years since bitcoin started, that we can just deposit USD and start exchanging altcoins.  I hope I'm wrong because this would be the single biggest hurdle for altcoins to be widely adopted by general public.  There are just too many hurdles to jump over just to START trading.

depends on how much you want to put in first, but yes, with stronger regulation on the way, majority of exchanges already tightened their KYC and AML policies to make the life of traders bit harder.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New coin are scam nowadays on: May 17, 2018, 10:40:33 AM
Hello, I am new in this forum but not new in cryptocurrencies,  I started trading cryptocurrency in 2016 and my first cryptocurrency I bought that time is vergecurrency and other penny coin. And I returned my money in bundle because they have good tech and very good team..So early this year I noticed that a lot of coin is now scam and failed promises. So please if you want to buy any coin don't go to coinmarketcap only because coinmarketcap can list any coin without verifying it well, just go to their telegram group and ask questions I think this can help you stay away from scam coin...

it is not the role of coinmarketcap to review the coins, they simply provide basic information and stats on each coin that is listed and traded on major exchanges. noone can think the coin is legit because of cmc listing
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm afraid to create my own ICO on: May 17, 2018, 10:35:01 AM
I'm newbie in this sphere and I want to earn crypto the best way possible. I think that waiting for the earning from bounty and airdrops has no reason and ICO developers get the most of money. I've heard a lot about MyWish and its offer for non-tech ppl to create ICO but I'm afraid that I won't can do it, what do you think?

you're starting from the wrong end. The ICO shouldn't be created just for the purpose of ICO. You need to have the product and think of ways to market it. If ICO is a way, then go for it. Not the other way around
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin web wallet like myetherwallet ? on: May 15, 2018, 09:57:46 AM
Is there any bitcoin web wallet like myetherwallet? i mean i can upload my wallet.dat or import private key to a web wallet and use it online(sending, receiving, managing...), or i can backup online wallet to my local application wallet(not sending bitcoin from an address to others), i cant find any one in internet, anyone here want it like me? why blockchain developers not make one ?

I don't think there is any wallet like myetherwallet for bitcoin, I'm actually wondering why there is no such service, as it's really easy to use and very useful, especially when used with hardware wallet and offline.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can a goverment trace you have BTC? on: May 15, 2018, 09:56:51 AM
How can the government discover I own BTC, let's say I'm from Venezuela where crypto is banned, what they can do to discover and arrest me?

blockchain itself doesn't reveal your identity. But you can reveal it when transacting through blockchain, for example by buying bitcoin for fiat on the exchange, which already can be recorded by the centralized exchange.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo to surpass Eth on: May 14, 2018, 07:58:40 AM
Everyone keeps saying that neo will surpass eth.. how come then the price hasn't even gone over $100 :/

Are there any good projects actually using NEO network for their smart contracts? I have seen the price growing but I have no idea if there is any real future for NEO there
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you raised money on ICO? on: May 14, 2018, 07:56:10 AM
Do you an experience of investing in ICO? Was it a good experience? Have you raised anything?

What is more, you can get tokens for testing a project's beta. For example, KickCity. You can get reward for testing this platform https://kickcity.io/event/5a9d11030cf2cac8e081f3e8

I have been investing in ICO for some time already. I pick up the projects I like and want to support, then I make an investment. Then I just patiently wait for the product to come to life Smiley
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many altcoins are you holding? on: May 14, 2018, 07:53:04 AM
I'm invested in around 15 alt coins (xrp, icx, iota, neo, ven, req, wabi, req, wtc, zec, xmr, ark, xrb, xlm). They've all met my criterias for investing and I have confidence in them. I'm around 70% altcoins 30% ethereum/bitcoin atm which I feel is a bit on the aggresive side. Is spreading a wide net a better strategy with altcoins or should you swing for the fences with just a few and rely on bitcoin/ethereum as your stable investments?

I also hold roughly about 10 altcoins, I believe it's a right strategy, because some of them will surely not provide the ROI I would like, therefore others could make up for it
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 30 second weekly new - May on: May 11, 2018, 03:08:32 PM
Maybe it will be useful for some people. I am thinking mainly of those who have no time for anything forever Wink

1. Reddit restores Bitcoin payments and adds more crypto coins
2. BMW, Ford, Renault and General Motors form a blockchain coalition.
3. CoinMarketCap launches the application for iOS
4. UNICEF crypto copies to raise money to help poor children
5. Warren Buffet once again has a negative impact on cryptovalent communities
6. Zcash added to Circle application

thank you for the summary, thanks to you I can now download coinmarketcap app, I didn't know they launched one for ios Smiley maybe you should consider regular service like this Wink
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goldman Sachs with the futures on: May 11, 2018, 03:05:13 PM
Have you guys heard?
Goldman Sachs will be doing futures instead of a proper bitcoin desk, which makes me sick to my stomach.
These people are doing everything they can to sink the great Bitcoin game, but they will fail because nothing can stand in the way of progress.
https://www.coindesk.com/goldman-sachs-to-begin-bitcoin-futures-trading-within-weeks/
Goldman executive Rana Yared said the decision resulted from a growing number of inquiries from clients that indicated interest in holding bitcoin as an alternative asset.

"It resonates with us when a client says, 'I want to hold bitcoin or bitcoin futures because I think it is an alternate store of value,'" she told the Times.
AAAAAAND what do they choose? Friggin Futures of course.

on the one hand, that will probably cause the price increase for bitcoin due to speculation, but on the other hand it would be really nice to see the banks like this out of bitcoin. They represent everything namakomoto was trying to ged rid of.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Make Government Legalize Bitcoin on: May 08, 2018, 01:55:33 PM
Is no longer news that various countries of the world are not in support of Bitcoin either as a means of payments or for trading purpose. This are been a challenges most Bitcoin users are facing throughout the countries of the world inexception of few countries.

I have begin to see it that maybe they are thinking that adoptions of Bitcoin might bring a partial collapse of the banking system and also a means of curbing money laundering.
So, let hear your views on what can be done to make our government realised the important of Bitcoin and Blockchain Technology.

I believe the strongest argument for governments is that if you don't legalize bitcoin, you can't legalize blockchain. And blockchain is carrying real value for many fintechs, so they would go against themselves...
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bill Gates: I would put against bitcoin on: May 08, 2018, 01:54:05 PM
American businessman Bill Gates again spoke out against the first crypto currency: in the Squawk Box program on CNBC, the co-founder of Microsoft called bitcoin one of the most speculative things in the world. This slightly tilted the course of the coin on Monday, May 7, but today it is still in the green zone.

"I would oppose bitcoin if there was an easy way to do this," said Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft Corporation in CNBC's Squawk Box, on Monday, May 7.

"As an asset class, you do not produce anything, and so you should not expect it to rise, it's a kind of pure investment" stupid theory, "Gates said in the CNBC program" Squawk Box. "

"Bitcoin and ICO, I believe, I believe, these are some of the crazy, speculative things," Gates said. He added that someone once gave him bitcoins for his birthday, but he sold it in a few years.

According to Gates, there is no need to count on the growth of bitcoin's value: "from the point of view of the asset class, you do not produce anything." The largest shareholder of Microsoft considers investing in this cryptonet "the theory of a bigger fool in its pure form."

She claims that money can be made by acquiring securities without regard for their quality and selling them at a profit, because there will always be a "bigger fool." Proceeding from the theory, speculative bubbles grow in this way, which burst with time and bring down the value of shares in a mass sale.

Note that earlier Gates accused the BTC of the death of people, pointing out that the coin is often used to buy drugs. In November 2014, the businessman called bitcoin "a revolutionary technology and the most innovative solution in the modern Internet payment market."

Like many critics of crypto currency, Gates acknowledged that the basic technology of blockchain has its advantages. Blocking eliminates the need for a third-party intermediary, such as a bank, to quickly create a secure, permanent report on the transaction between the two parties. Bitcoin is the first application of blocking technology, and companies are exploring ways to use technology to manage supply chains, trade and other areas.

he surely has his point, that its pure speculation when it comes to prices. However it's not completely true, if you consider bitcoin as a potential payment method when the people actually need to buy bitcoin first, before spending it. That can create the real demand for btc
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen when 1 satoshi is $ 1? on: May 08, 2018, 01:52:08 PM
What if bitcoin gains much more value than you anticipate? So what happens when 1 satoshi reaches the price of 1 dollar?
What kind of arrangement is made if payment is requested as Cent? Can the bitcoin core be modified?

then people who are in the community today, investing in very early stage, will be very very happy, probably not need to work anymore in their life, same will go for their children either Smiley
