Gonna be a real good game tonight in the Shark Tank but I think Penguins won't make the same mistake as last game.

Penguins 4 - 3 Sharks
102  Other / Meta / Re: Low quality posts from people with signature ads - "Ignore all" button needed on: June 06, 2016, 11:25:03 PM
Low quality has taken on a new meaning in this forum. As long as you drone on and create lazy sentence after lazy sentence, somehow having more characters in your post means it's not low quality.  It's fucking low quality if I have to read the same reply to a question 15 different ways that are a paragraph long. You can easily have a constructive post that is concise.

An "ignore all" function won't solve the original problem of "low quality" posts.
103  Other / Meta / Re: selling Bitcointalk accounts shouldn't be allowed.. on: June 06, 2016, 11:20:47 PM
This topic is brought up way too often and the conclusion is that admins/mods can't stop the black market trade of these accounts.
That point does stand, however the situation would be different. When you think about it, right now there is nothing stopping you from involving in these trades (there are no 'risks', apart from possibly getting scammed by either the buyer or seller). In the case where account sales were disallowed (a bannable offense) there would be no more sales on the forum (they'd have to try to engage in these trades somewhere else) and now a certain risk factor would be present (anyone who gets caught doing account sales would be permanently banned). This would reduce the amount of trades by a noticeable amount.

Badbear has said that pushing the account trades outside the forum would be more apt to scamming. You would reduce seeing account trades on the forum but I don't think that would stop account sales or minimize it that much.
104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin Issue on: June 06, 2016, 11:17:36 PM
Lol, they just replied with:

Withdrawals sent and account open. We are working hard to combat collusion and abuse and this may cause an inconvenience at times. Good luck!

So they fixed everything. It is solved

This is actually a great feature for a site to have and it's a good line of defense against abusers and colluders.

A pretty basic line of defense. Still a huge problem in these online poker rooms. Can't stop the VPNs.

Mexico had good value yesterday at plus money. No Suarez Uruguay got handled by a hot Mexican team.

Wonder if Chile will be able to at least pull out a draw with Argentina tonight. They are going to playing locally in Santa Clara  Cheesy

Not only is that a ridiculous rate since Bitcoin is at $588 but you're posting this in the wrong section. You want Currency Exchange.

108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Breaking: Shuffle-based Provably Fair Implementations Can Cheat Players (proof) on: June 06, 2016, 05:57:14 PM
provably fair was invented for the player and imo the best invention in gambling business so why to do it away? please correct me if I am wrong

You bring up a good point.

When I first published the side-channel attacks a couple years ago, some casino operators dismissed it by saying things like, "We would never cheat," or "if we did this, we'd get caught" or "if we were caught, we'd lose all our players," without addressing their implementations of provably fair. So, they are countering a cryptanalysis with a PR/marketing spin, which doesn't make sense.

By saying, "We would never cheat," without addressing their implementation, they are only offering a simple promise of fairness, which is no different than a non-provably fair casino.

This is the same type of deflection Nitrogensports is infamous for. They have a clearly rigged Blackjack system but whenever anyone questions it they link to "provably fair". Good to see hard data out there that doesnt make the Casino skeptics looks crazy.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I lost 700 mbtc on gambling on: June 06, 2016, 05:20:36 PM
Hilarious to see people asking for proof of the loss. Does it really matter?

Dice is one of those games where when you are down a little bit you want to keep playing just a little more to get back to being even. Before you know it, the entire bankroll is gone. Probably the position OP is in.

Good luck to the Sharks tonight. Unfortunately, I think Penguins make it a 3-0 series lead.

4-3 Penguins win this game.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coppa america 2016 dicussion on: June 04, 2016, 06:53:18 PM
Costa Rica seems to be a more underrated team that has decent players. I could see them hanging on against a Paraguay team that isn't super strong. Brazil should be able to handle a crappy Ecuador team. Could see them winning by 2-3 goals.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you were rich, would you still gamble? on: June 04, 2016, 02:54:21 AM
Don't really think being rich makes that huge of a difference. You would probably need to bet much higher stakes though to feel that gambler rush.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coppa america 2016 dicussion on: June 04, 2016, 12:57:34 AM
USA vs Colombia, i think USA is looking strong when it will have this encounter on home ground than there is pretty good chance for it to save this match easily, i will pick USA +0.50 @1.54 and it seems much better there.

Agreed. Colombia have the better known players but the US has been doing well and is going to want to make a statement for their opening game. They should keep Colombia to at least a draw so +0.5 is definitely a strong bet.
