321  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: January 27, 2016, 05:30:33 AM
Whenever theres a big drop in the price I like to buy little bits and add them to the storage wallet. At this point I feel like Bitcoin is still "cheap" so don't feel too bad any about any purchases

Clippers end up coming through! Didn't think that would happen but it was close all the way through.

Portland taking care of the Kings.
323  Economy / Gambling / Re: FanDuel/DrafKings Bitcoin site with no registration required on: January 27, 2016, 02:02:01 AM
Yeah I research it a little bit and it requires a big budget to set up because of how expensive data entry is. I'm not taking into consideration all the expenses on site design, development, server, domain etc. It would be much easier to use a white label option from FanDuel or DraftKings and modify it to fit these requirements but not sure if they offer that, I don't think they ever will, most likely they will begin accepting BTC hehe.

Exactly. Seems like a very big project. You would need some outside investors but daily fantasy is huge right now and integrating Bitcoin into the process could prove to be successful and even give Bitcoin a boost of recognition

If you are into live betting, the match between clippers and pacers is pretty juicy. Think the pacers will be able to pull off the win in the end.
325  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WARNING] BEWARE THIS BOARD! on: January 26, 2016, 09:23:52 PM
You see a lot of carded deals, hacked accounts, and outright scams but there are also some good offers out there. Good rule of thumb is if it's too good to be true, it probably is.
326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can Bitcoin bring back arcades? on: January 26, 2016, 08:09:56 PM
I really like this idea in theory but is there a strong demand to play these types of games? The nostalgia favor is great but most of these types of games are on people's phones now.

That being said, I would like to see BTC being integrated into games and arcades in some way.
327  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nitrogen Sports Rigged on: January 26, 2016, 07:53:22 PM
I stay away from the Blackjack there. You can never really trust online Blackjack but the amount of losses there compared to any other site is staggering. Anyone saying it was probably bad luck has most likely never played Blackjack at Nitrogen.

Thats not the only thing they rig. The poker rake is higher than any other site and the live betting is set to reject bets when he line moves in your favor and accepts bets when odds move out of your favor.  They do some shady stuff sometimes. Probably to mitigate the huge hits they take in the sportsbook.
328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin exchange besides coinbase that offers ACH to bank withdrawals? on: January 26, 2016, 05:25:32 AM
Circle is another service similar to Coinbase in terms of ACH transfers.

Kraken just opened to California but not sure if that is wire only for deposits. I thought they would have bank transfers.
329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you earn some bitcoin today? on: January 26, 2016, 05:23:55 AM
Selling BTC for a higher price than I bought it. Small amounts of BTC in profit but they add up after awhile!
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 26, 2016, 05:13:40 AM
taking heat +7.5 and think they got a decent shot for a good money
line shot

to bad duncan out for spurs

was happy to get the week started with an outright dog win!!!

golden state is so tough - up 14 early third.

Good pick with the Heat. They needed that win after losing a few in a row.

Warriors are showing that they are THE team to beat in the league. No team has even put up a fight with Golden State on any night they came out to play.
331  Economy / Gambling / Re: Finally earned 1 bitcoin.what to do? on: January 26, 2016, 04:47:12 AM
If it took you 4 months to earn that much, gambling would be a surefire way to destroy that bankroll. Sit on that coin and use whatever methods you originally used to get that coin to keep getting more slowly.
332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 26, 2016, 04:42:58 AM
Warriors running the show so far. They really look unstoppable this season. I thought the Spurs would be the biggest challenge for them but doesn't even look close. Would be surprised if Spurs can claw back in the second half.
333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Super Bowl 50 Discussion Thread - Carolina Panthers VERSUS Denver Broncos on: January 26, 2016, 02:07:15 AM
Carolina ML... Grin

Agreed! A little dose of Newton fever for me too. He is just too much to handle from his arm to his run game. Add in that monster Panthers defense. Think it's gonna be too much for the Broncos to handle!
334  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: January 26, 2016, 02:03:14 AM
Well, I don't think Girls are less than guys in any fields, they are now even more advanced and used-to techs than boys, so why won't girls be using Bitcoins? What gives them a reason not to use it? Undecided
There are certainly girl using Bitcoin.
Especially girls who understand how it works.
Now many girls who understand bitcoin, I'm sure they understand the word of mouth and taught by his friend.
Even to manage money and diligent about her very superior than men.

Tell that to the backpage girls from localbitcoins  Grin

336  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to guarantee that the site you are betting at is safe against this? on: January 26, 2016, 01:56:50 AM
Yea, there is no way to be aware of these exploits beforehand. There's always gonna be hackers and those looking to game these sites.  The only thing you can do is play at the sites that have been around the longest and have the best reputation. That way if they are hacked, your funds are hopefully insured by the site owner.
337  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your Selfies Are Insecure. Here's How to Encrypt Them. on: January 26, 2016, 01:53:29 AM
Why encrypt them? Isn't the point of selfies to be seen by other people? Or because it's a selfie it should only be seen by myself?

It's not encrypting the actual picture but the source data for the picture, right?
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How China's Plans to Launch Its Own Currency Might Affect Bitcoin on: January 26, 2016, 01:52:28 AM
The Chinese government's "Dragoncoin" will most likely be centralized and government-controlled (vs trustless). It will most likely come with additional features that allow capital control and limit/monitored cross border transaction... These are all the opposite of Bitcoin. I am sure it will co-exist with bitcoin.

Just like every other alt-coin. Slim possibility of coexisitng but no chance of effecting Bitcoin overall.
339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Sport To Gamble on: January 26, 2016, 01:43:38 AM
my best sport to gamble only tennis , in soccer harder to predict because there are a lot of choice to decide than tennis.

With Soccer you have the draw option which basically makes it like a 3-way choice instead of two. In Tennis you see random walk-overs and resignations which could screw up bets. Both hard to predict imo.
340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be profitable in the long run! It is possible! on: January 26, 2016, 01:38:33 AM
No, I`m not stupid. The casino is not made to make money, in the sense as making money for their clients.

The casino is only a service provider, they provide a gaming experience for their clients.

There is a difference between gaming service provider and a gambling site. A gaming service provider is something like netent and softswiss , they only provide games to play without providing any service for you to gamble. Casino exist to make money and that is the truth which you cant denied. They are afterall just a business like any others

No not video games. "Game" is a complex word and it means many things.

When we talk about the gaming industry, it usually means the gambling one, because every casino game is a game after all. But instead using virtual currency, it uses real currency.

A casino is not made to make money, because then it wont go the lengths of providing so much services. If it were only make do make money then they would choose the easiest way.

For example a lottery: odds for winning ~0%, while they get good income. An average casino offers you a 99.5% change of letting you win (on the spot), of course being a net winner is a different story.

So if it were only for money then the house edge won't be as low as 0.5% in some cases, it would be >99% (like with lottery).

So I`m still stating that casinos are not entirely built to make money.

Casinos are a business and businesses are built to be profitable. If the Casino is losing money overall, it won't be open for long. So yes, Casinos are built to make money. People can win and be profitable but there are way more losers.
