101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin’s price rise go over $10,000 in early 2018? on: November 02, 2017, 08:33:58 AM
This question was first asked by Bitcoin.com, but I think it will be good to through this open to all here;
Will Bitcoin’s rise continue after record-setting 2017?

"Bitcoin’s record-setting year is well-documented in the media. But with BTC pushing $6,500 price levels and $109.4 billion in market capitalization, what’s in store for the world’s most popular cryptocurrency?

Famous investors Ray Dalio and Warren Buffett are warning of a bitcoin bubble. But other Wall Street analysts see bitcoin perhaps reaching $10,000 or even $25,000 by next year. BTC dipped to $3,200 in mid-September and has since rallied to over $6,500. Heavy trading (of nearly 300,000 daily transactions) can lead to volatility. But investors are also weary of fiat currencies that lose value over the long-term. As an asset, fiat money almost always devalues. And investors know that with Bitcoin and other cryptos, their money has a fighting chance to appreciate in value. Despite the naysayers, it’s possible that we’ll see Bit[Suspicious link removed]ver $10,000 in early 2018." - Bitcoin.com

Do you think Bitcoin will go over $10,000 in early 2018?

We're just on the verge of breaking $7000 on coinmarketcap.

Honestly bitcoin is such a hot topic right now that 50% gains to push us to $10000 would come quite easily. Once there is news of bitcoin in some place that is positive, it will push price up. We've got plenty of time between now and early 2018 for this to happen multiple times.

even $15,000 per coin is looking possible right now.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Newbie needs clue: Speculate to HODL BTC or buying cheap altcoin? on: November 02, 2017, 07:31:25 AM
I got some Bitcoon Gold,
It is a sort of present for newbie

I also got another present,
BTC is ATH.

Is it a good idea to start to buy Altcoins?
Do I have to wait for correction and jump to buy Altcoins?

I would suggest buying whatever coin you want to buy right now. Except for bitcoin because i would expect a pullback from the current price simply because it is so high and historically, after pumps like this there has always been a pullback.

Altcoins on the other hand have been plumetting.

Always buy when price is going downhill, never uphill, unless it is a start of a trend.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRS] Groestlcoin | Segwit activated | Adding Segwit to all our platforms on: November 02, 2017, 07:28:24 AM
Any particular reason as to why this coin has been pumped to the moon? I haven't been following the coin at all. I thought perhaps it was because bittrex had listed it but apparently bittrex had listed this quite a while ago.

If someone can offer any explanation it would be great.

A pullback today though, down 30%.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin possibly hit usd10,000 by end of year? on: November 02, 2017, 07:24:29 AM
Am I being overly optimistic? The trajectory is looking very real!

No reason why it can't hit $10000.

Honestly as you said, the trajectory is completely going upwards and it's already nearing $10k in terms of CAD/AUD which are major currencies. Once this is broken, it's going to be absolutely crazy and the price will be driven even more up.

Just don't expect it to always be this way, expect pullbacks along the way.
105  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bovada won't let me withdraw cuz previous Bitcoin deposit "not fully confirmed" on: November 02, 2017, 07:20:05 AM
If it says on blockchain explorers that your transaction indeed has many times more than their required amount of confirmations then they should let you withdraw no questions asked. I feel like it's probably something that is wrong with their backend that handles transactions.

Contact them as Tryninja said.

6 confirmations is the standard in bitcoin to be considered "safe to accept".
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC and TOP alts price action. on: November 02, 2017, 07:17:00 AM
IOTA is definitely interesting since it has been in a downward slope ever since it first got pumped. Not much action happening and it has dropped out of the top 10 cryptocurrencies market cap as well, which isn't exactly great news.

Also, the fact that btc is getting pumped means that altcoins are suffering right now.

Once BTC sees a dip, alts will rebound.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 PRE-ICOs / PRESALES (early sales only, no ico's) on: November 02, 2017, 07:14:14 AM
I don't know about Pre-ICOs that much honestly because probably only half of the ICOs out there do it and not everyone does it. But from what i've heard Bazista is currently entering into the pre-ICO stage and you could take a look at them.

The thing is investing in pre-ICOs are probably way more risky than actual icos, even though you are getting a better deal since you don't know how the investors and markets in general is going to respond to the project.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: best combination on: November 02, 2017, 07:11:24 AM
Hello Guys

If you had to choose only 2 coins of this  5 alts ,what combination would you choose?

for long term 3-5 years.

QTUM, OMG, WTC, ETP and IOTA.

thanks

IOTA, XMR, ZEC, EOS and ADA for me.

All of them are either new tech that has the potential to rival Ethereum or NEO, yet are still selling at cheap rates now and has lots of room to grow. Monero is only at 0.011 BTC and is a steal for a long term investment, it could hit way more than 0.05 BTC in my opinion.

ZEC has been quiet but i think that once the halving comes, its price will enjoy a rise.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Calm the F $%K Down People, Lets Help The NOOBs Out. on: November 02, 2017, 07:09:48 AM
Alt markets have always bounced back after bitcoin goes parabolic.

However i wouldn't say that bitcoin is such a bad bet right now. $10k is going to be hit by the end of the year most probably and that level can hopefully be sustained. If you already hold bitcoin then hold onto them, if not then don't buy now, wait for the dip.

Always hodl! Don't panic.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far do you guys think BTC retraces after fork? on: November 02, 2017, 07:01:27 AM
I say 5k

In my opinion probabl yback to around $4k or so.

Right now the price is going absolutely bananas. I don't think that this is going to continue forever because that has never happened with any asset class and it is just not sustainable to see this sort of huge profits every single day.

It could even before the fork, if people start panicking.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in a new ICO or just buy BTC on: October 30, 2017, 09:06:42 AM
Buy bitcoins and invest into alts with those bitcoins. Alts you see are very cheap at this time. Investing in bitcoin and remaining in it is the safer option, but if you want to grow your bitcoins, invest in alts.

Alts and ICOs are completely different investments in terms of both risk and reward.

If you want to invest in ICOs then make sure that you do your homework. Make sure that you have done your research every single time that you are tempted in investing in an ICO because there are lots of scams out there.

BTC is probably a worse investment, considering how high it is.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Game: Revolutionizing In-Game Transactions / E-sports. Time to Buy. on: October 30, 2017, 08:57:47 AM
Interesting analysis and i do think that the price is somewhat low right now with all the dumps happening with the coin. In fact the coin is still in dump mode but could potentially recover soon(hopefully) once they make some changes in their framework.

Since OP's tips have generally been accurate, i'm going to take a gamble and bet on this this time round.

Hopefully it pays off.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [2017-10-26] Vitalik Buterin: 90% of token startups will fall on: October 30, 2017, 08:53:53 AM
Considering the fact that 99% of all tokens that are trying to start themselves up in bitcointalk alone are completely clones of previous projects or just a ERC20 token with no apparent uses outside of a speculative token, 90% is an underestimate.

But generally, it's going to be along the lines of what Vitalik said.

People still going for these useless airdrops somehow, though.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Price Prediction 2018 on: October 30, 2017, 08:51:31 AM
I think that the private transactions are going to be the most important one.

Once they can implement a built in mixing service like Monero/Dash then the price is going to get pumped, hard. But right now, there isn't a lot of interest in the coin so it seems. People aren't really keeping an eye on IOTA.

Could be a good time to accumulate but also could go down further.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: October 30, 2017, 08:49:16 AM
It's not BTC killing them but the investors. Many coins drop below ICO prices and for me that's not understandeble, why invest if you are going to give away your coins with a loss. GTake a look at BMC. ICO price was 1$ now it's on 56 cents. Why sell with a v of 44%?
Still I belive that altcoins will raise and se new highets in 2018. Not all but some. Do your reaserch and pray that you make the right investments.
Cheer up and invest when the price is low.

Good luck

ICOS got to be a big gamble nowadays.
People either want 10x or just go out as soon as possible.

Thats the issue...with all that pre ico bonuses etc. people sell below ico price and are still making profit.

ICOs are indeed somewhat of a gamble.

But if you have a reliable source of information giving you picks or you are just really good at picking ICOs yourself then you have a very good chance of making money out of investing in ICOs. Just look at all the NXT and ETH investors right now.

Altcoins are definitely not dying though.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Florincoin. The monster you haven't heard of. Time to buy. on: October 30, 2017, 08:48:02 AM
The market capitalization of this coin has jumped up from 7 million to around 14 million as it is right now.

So i'm not really particularly sure on whether to buy this coin or not. Once the rebranding happens then obviously there could be a huge jump in price that is way bigger than the current one that he have experienced.

Hopefully, the latter happens.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are some demonstrably successful ICOs? on: October 30, 2017, 08:25:51 AM
I mean QTUM and Gnosis hasn't been up for that long of a time but they both have pretty big ICOs at least in terms of total value raised through the ICOs that they have conducted previously in the crowdfunding stage.

Omni is still hosting Tether which is the biggest pegged coin right now, as well as maidsafecoin which is one of the biggest blockchain projects to date. They did a ICO as well though not raising that much in fiat terms, they did raise around 5k BTC.
118  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Coinbase upcoming Bitcoin Forks Alert! on: October 29, 2017, 07:07:40 AM
Thanks for the post!

Coinbase is still yet to distribute bitcoin cash to their customers though and even though they have promised that this time they will indeed distribute the 2x coins, it doesn't mean that they can't delay this by a few days/weeks which could mean you lose out on lots of profits.

Just saying, the best option is still to just have the coins in your own wallet.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ESCARCE][ICO] E-scarce Coin |Decreasing Supply📉|Increasing Price📈|AIRDROP| on: October 29, 2017, 07:06:30 AM
What makes you think that investing in cloud mining is going to be a good decision? Also the scarcity is  the coin, is it hardcoded into the software or is it just through the buybacks that the supply decreases?

I mean, it's a good idea. But cloud mining isn't going to be profitable.

Especially hash flare which has been super shady recently.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BDSM]🔥AIRDROP🔥LOTTERY🔥THE߷MOST߷EXPENSIVE߷TOKEN߷OF߷ALL߷TIME💥ONLY①TOKEN on: October 29, 2017, 06:30:45 AM
Hahaha, this reminds me of the project Useless Ethereum Token that surprisingly raised a lot more ETH than some other ICOs which were supposed to be serious ones. Sometimes it's good to make fun of the current airdrop and ICO situation.

Already 1.5k token holders, which is pretty amazing.

I'll get my hands on one of these useless tokens in the future and hopefully this will be the most expensive token in existence soon Smiley
