341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Being Unemployed Drives People to go to Bitcoin on: July 19, 2017, 07:16:20 AM
Weeks ago, I am discussing Bitcoin to my sister and my future brother-in-law (then) When they got married recently, both of them were unemployed and have been trying to get a job immediately after their marriage. Up until now they have no luck. My sister then decided to talk to me about how do I earn Bitcoins. I gladly explained it to her and then she decided to do it too. She was so happy that she is already earning bitcoin and had some extra budget while they are both unemployed. And now, she is so eager to learn more how to earn more coins.

Being unemployed drove her into engaging to Bitcoins. Maybe some people are like this. They grab Bitcoin when they are in need of money. And since that these people are now engaged in Bitcoin, I am sure that they will stay in Bitcoin and treat it as an investment even though they will have a decent paying jobs in the future.

I'm sure that this might be true, since as harsh at it is, bitcoins rarely require any skill. I think a lot of people start becoming freelancers and work for bitcoin since it is usually pretty simple.

Crypto has provided so many new opportunities especially for the unemployed people and on this forum alone, you can offer your services as a freelancer on a newbie account and people will hire you.
342  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Question about vixice?? on: July 19, 2017, 05:57:22 AM
Vixice is the another crypto mining site. But this site achived popularity for few days. many people also invest here. at last this site get a big SCAM. Be careful new members don't invest at this types of site. everyday coming new new mining sites. but this sites getting scam early. Old site is the best for earn. Sad
Firstly, for proper scam accusations, please submit it in an easily readable fashion, if you go to the top of this section, you will find a topic that teaches you how to do that, please read it. I have looked at Vixice and done a bit of researching. Most people who have done reviews have stated that it is a scam but it is well designed. Links to those reviews are here

343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if people started educating themselves instead of hanging around here... on: July 19, 2017, 05:34:29 AM
i am not trying to turn this into another one of many speculation topics, i just want to point out that if people started educating themselves about bitcoin itself and the market and how price moves instead of hanging around bitcointalk and reddit and waiting for random newbie accounts to tell them "panic this is the end" they would have been a lot more successful in their lives...

what do you think?

People are influenced by other people, no doubt, that is how peer pressure works. You are fine to have your own opinion and I won't bash you on that, and if you think bitcointalk and reddit are useless that is fine. But bitcointalk does educate people, and if you take a look around, you will see heaps of people's questions answered and them being relieved.
344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Tor wallet SCAM !!! on: July 19, 2017, 05:21:28 AM
For about a week is tor wallet offline.
Do not you know what happened?
Tor wallet = SCAM !!!

Tor wallet always had a bad reputation and was probably one of the worst wallets out there and people expected that it was a scam from literally the day it was made. Why would you guys use the wallet where there are so many other good, safe and also free options out there. I would recommend you guys to totally swap to Electrum since it is super easy to use and also safe.

Can someone write me, but is there a chance that my btc will return?

Sorry, but unless the developer of Tor wallet has a change of heart, you most likely won't be getting your coins back.
345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should owners with BTC on Exchange do before Aug 1st? on: July 19, 2017, 05:08:12 AM
First let me apologize for my ignorance (or rather confusion). I understand bitcoin may split on Aug 1st and that it may result in multiple chains. I have some BTC in gdax wallet and I am unsure if that will mean risk, or losing ownership should the coin split into two (or more?) chains that may end up like ETH/ETC both being valid (despite ETH being the clear winner).

Any advice at a practical level (e.g.. which wallet, what to pay attention to exactly, what not to, when to return funds) is really appreciated. Thank you!

Don't use exchange wallets such as coin base if you have other options. If you have a desktop or laptop I would totally recommend using electrum since it is super safe and also easy to use. You can also set custom fees on electrum which is better than most wallets. I would also recommend you not sending any transactions until after August the first since hard fork may do bad things. Also getting your private keys would be a good idea since then you won't be affected by August the first since you will be able to import your bitcoin to another wallet.
346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen when global Bitcoin supply reaches its limit? on: July 19, 2017, 04:22:34 AM
Bitcoin is like gold in the real world, and like a valuable thing, Bitcoin can not be created just like that. Gold must be mined out of the ground, while Bitcoin must be mined through digital means. In connection with this process, this is a provision established by the founder of Bitcoin and the goods are quite limited.
If you know, there are only 21 million total Bitcoin that can be mined. Once the miners have opened up a lot of Bitcoin, the supply will inevitably run out, let alone the Bitcoin protocol changed to get a larger supply.

Well, the question is, what will happen when global Bitcoin supply reaches its limit? Shocked

That's is an interesting question and there are some issues to first address. I don't think that all of the 21 M bitcoin will be mined since some of them will be lost and never found. After the majority of bitcoin are mined I have not doubt that bitcoin will rise to at least 10 percent more than its current price. Probably there will units smaller than satoshis and they will be worth quite a lot.
347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Raising, price recovery on: July 19, 2017, 03:33:06 AM
After experiencing price declines at the end of last week, BTC and some altcoin had correction and recovery prices.
Currently the price has improved. If you want to buy and save, this is a good time.
So there were agree that making BTC price stability is more important than worrying about SegWit issue.

Segwit should mean more price stabilizing in the future, but right now, it seems to be pretty dodgy and we are just recovering from a big drop. The prices seem to be back up to the old times of 2800. There was more segwit support after the prices went up so that should be related. Segwit is almost confirmed now, and all we need to do is wait until August the first when everything will be determined.
348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what will happen to my coins in blockchain.info on Aug 1 on: July 18, 2017, 11:54:06 PM
Im a bit afraid since 1 augustus is coming quick right now.

I have my coins in my blockchain.info web wallet for over 2 years now, I have my private keys and my account is 100% secured & verified.
All my coins aren't in a imported wallet adress.

Also, will blockchain.info choose for me on what side I'm coming when the split happens? (>Could this be bad?)

I'm new to this whole thing thats going to happen on August 1.

Let me know!

Shawn

Well, blockchain isn't liked by a lot of people on this forum since they do think it is unsafe, but since you do have access to your private keys, it should be alright. Even if blockchain becomes unsafe, you can just transfer it to another wallet and then use it from there. Should be all good though, you can read the statement that blockchain has released related to segwit.

No need to worry, you did well saving your private keys, although I would totally recommend swapping wallets to Electrum or a form of cold storage. They really are safer and more convenient and you already have your private keys so it should be quite easy to import wallets for you.

Not a bad idea, swapping to a hardware wallet would be beneficial for you and be safer than your current wallet.
349  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee: Bitcoin will go above 500k $ in 3 years on: July 18, 2017, 11:21:13 PM

Woah, that seems to be a little too much for me. Bitcoin right now is at 2300 USD and he expects that the price will be 500,000 in 3 years. 3 years equals 156 weeks. If this was to be possible, bitcoin would have to rise at least 3000 USD a week, which is 350 a day. Seems pretty impossible in my opinion. I feel like he is really over valuing Bitcoin and this seems impossible. Maybe after Segwit, if the price goes up, then Bitcoin will have a chance of reaching 500,000 but right now, there is zero possibility of Bitcoin reaching that high in even 5 years. Maybe 10K in 3 years will be possible.
350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Confidence Returning to Bitcoin? on: July 18, 2017, 10:33:50 PM
...

I have looked over several threads here at bitcointalk, and it looks like SegWit is slowly being implemented (or planned for, or whatever) AND the price just ticked to (about) $2300, some $450 (or more) off its recent lows.

This suggests to me that confidence is returning to Bitcoin.

But, this might be just a bear trap, especially if anything goes wrong around August 1.

The recent drops of bitxoin where probably due to the pre segwit anticipation and also FUD. The threads on this forum alone with like the title 'segwit will kill bitcoin" are uncountable. But now due to random surveys, segwit seems to be rising. The prices are also stablising and returning to their former glory. People are starting to believe in bitcojn once again.
351  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto currency is a soap bubble that will soon crash? on: July 18, 2017, 09:59:38 PM
What do you think?

Firstly, why the soap part to the bubble, isn't it just meant to be bubble? I think that you are making an attempt and FUD and/or mad that you panic sold your coins when it dropped recently. Crypto is not a bubble the only way it would crash, was of the internet was to crash or get taken down.

Op, it is time to hop on the crypto bandwagon, this isn't a bubble.
352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you buy Bitcoin now with hard cash? on: July 18, 2017, 09:28:37 PM
Would you buy Bitcoin now with hard cash since the price or value increases daily, or you just going to earn it through mining, faucets, social media and signature campaigns?

Well I would probably buy bitxoin right now since the price is just recovering from a big drop and there doesn't seem to be another drop anytime soon, unless after August the first prices drop again. But why physical cash, can't you just use localbitcoins or other exchange sites to buy bitcoin directly from your bank account. If you can find a trader in real life offering you bitxoin for physical cash, the rears would probably be pretty high.
353  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason for bitcoin market crash. on: July 18, 2017, 09:55:40 AM
I have been reading some blogs about deepweb. Many people here might be knowing the fact behind deepweb.
One pf the most known deepweb site- AlphaBay, also known as "the new Silk Road," has been shut down since Tuesday night. The site also came in the news at the beginning of this year when a hacker successfully hacked the AlphaBay site and stole over 200,000 private unencrypted messages from several users.
Nearly 1,479.03904709 Bitcoin (roughly $3.8 Million) were in use in the site.  as the site got closed, all the bitcoins were stolen by the site owner ( according to news).
Is it the reason behind bitcoin market fall as the price started falling when the site was closed??

Could definitely have affected the market of bitcoin, but I don't think that it would have dropped bitcoin by 1000 dollars, it just doesn't seem possible. While bitcoin is involved in some illegal stuff, no doubt, I just don't think that bitcoin would drop that much just to that. A lot of the price drops would have to be related to segwit and fud of course.
354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Wallet without transaction fee on: July 18, 2017, 09:37:54 AM
Hi,

Can anyone suggest me best Bitcoin Wallet without transaction fee

Thanks

There is no such thing as a Bitcoin wallet that doesn't have transaction fees. What you need to understand is that the wallet doesn't profit off high or low fees since the fees are for the miners, not them. If you want to be able to pay lower fees, which means your confirmations will take longer, you can try using electrum wallet as it is a wallet that lets you adjust your transaction fees on it. For smaller transaction, to avoid using a high fee, maybe use a low fee or just don't use bitcoin at all.
355  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I cash out my BTC now? on: July 17, 2017, 11:57:14 PM
If you had your payment in BTC, would you cash out your money or you would wait increasing of cryptocurrency?

Firstly, being paid in Bitcoin from your real life job would be super risky, so if you are receiving a salary in Bitcoin right now, I would definitely recommend not getting paid such a big amount in bitcoin. Right now Bitcoin is not at the stage where you can use it as a payment method in real life. Right now Bitcoin is mostly an investment option for some people, and for others internet cash. If you have invested in bitcoin I would recommend you waiting after August the first since there is a high chance of Bitcoin taking trip to the moon after the hard fork if it happens.
356  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: July 17, 2017, 10:56:14 PM
What is the safest way to keep bitcoins.

Taken dangers like hacking, losing in to account!

Well the safest ways are probably using cold storage and some examples of cold storage include the following:

1. Using a hardware wallet which is usually something shaped like a USB that you plug your computer to send payments, some really populare hardware wallets include Ledgerwallets and Trezors.

2. Another example of offline wallets would include using a paper wallet which is a document that you can carry around that has everything to use your wallets, etc private keys etc.

3. Something else that would be an offline wallet would be to attach bitcoin to something physical such as physical bitcoin but they are not mainstream and less  safer than your other options.
357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks and Bitcoins: Is it possible in th future? on: July 17, 2017, 08:37:58 AM
Bitcoin show signs of popularity to every people in the world, profitability of it makes me imagine that one day we can deposit and withdraw bitcoins in Banks.
If it happens, my question maybe, is it good or bad? for us bitcoiners, or for bitcoin itself.

In my opinion: what yours?

Sure this might be possible sometime in the future, but right now banks are against bitcoin since they are centralized while Bitcoin is decentralized, meaning that they aren't controlled by anything. Localbitcoins kinda allows you to do this, but it isn't a bank. You can easily sell Bitcoin for bank transfer/PayPal but the banks aren't involved with that process. It would be nice to see a bitcoin bank, where you can buy/sell alt coins and bitcoin.
358  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin currently anonymous? on: July 17, 2017, 08:09:38 AM
Hello all, im pretty new to btc, currently is Bitcoin anonymous? since it enables privacy in transfer of payment/money

Not at all, if you send a transaction, you should be able to find the transaction ID on https://www.blockchain.com/ and therefore any transaction you make will be recorded and makes it not that anonymous. After some hard work, someone would be able to track your transactions and find all your addresses, so no it is not fully anonymous. Something that would make it even more anonymous would be to use a mixing address to confuse them.
359  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India on: July 15, 2017, 07:04:38 AM
Well countries legalising countries is always a plus since it gives bitcoin more chance to rise and grow off this. Bitcoin should receive a fair amount of media attention off this and a lot of attention in India, this may or may not be a good thing, but I will expect a bunch more miners from India especially off this legalisation. The price of electricity in India is almost free, so it would surprise me if people didn’t take advantage of this and starting mining bitcoin. Good to see a new country legalising bitcoin, gives it heaps of room to grow. Maybe the floodgates have opened.
360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: July 15, 2017, 05:40:05 AM
bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable.

currency should be more stable.

you may reply me. currency is not stable also but you should think

USD currency price is up and down 1-2% in 1 month.

bitcoin price is up and down 20% in 1 month.

what will people think if they just change USD to bitcoin then their money down 10% in 10 minutes?

bitcoin can become stock but cannot become currency

Well, I agree with what you are saying but you are forgetting something, which will change your whole perspective on this issue. Bitcoin was not created as a currency that would overtake fiat currencies and change how we pay and buy stuff forever. Bitcoin was made so it would exist alongside to our normal currencies, and you can’t just expect it to overtake all other currencies and become the currency of the future, because bitcoin wasn’t made for that, you are giving it a too high expectation which it will not reach.
