101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO AND FIAT MONEY BEST COMBINATION on: May 19, 2018, 05:29:58 AM
There are some people who believe that crypto is going to replace fiat currencies in the coming years but they ignore the fact we have the high number of illiterate when it comes to technology and hence not everyone is in the position of using cryptocurrencies as basic knowledge of internet/computer is a must for it. Thus fiat currencies are not going anywhere and we have to live with two options but we will see governments will adopt blockchain for fiat currencies too but they won't it decentralized.
I think the same too, i think it is better that we use the same means fiat money and crytocurrency.  This is to answer for nthe convenience it can give to fiat user and crypto. This is way better so that we can have a choice especially if the network is down we can use fiat money and where fiat money is more expensive we can go to cryptocurrency.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO AND FIAT MONEY BEST COMBINATION on: May 19, 2018, 05:27:19 AM
I bilieve that in the future crypto currency will not replace fiat money as mode of  payments in the future. Why? Because this two currency have a unique combinations that make our life more secure and convenient transactions trough offline and online transactions.

1.Crypto currency is more secure and faster transactions than fiat money via long distance and transactions like sending money around the world crypto is fast, safe and more secure then fiat money in this case fiat money is not good and slow in long distance transactions.

2.Fiat money is more faster and more easier in hand to hanp, face to face transactions and offline transactions in this setuation crypto currency is not good.

This 2 reasons why crypto currency and fiat money will be a powerfull combination in the future.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] New Lowest Fee Ethereum Decentral Exchange on: May 17, 2018, 05:16:10 PM
Etherdex.org is a clone of Etherdelta.com. Etherdelta.com has 0.3 % , but Etherdex.org has 0.1% Fees. If you want to pay 3 times more for Fees, just visit Etherdelta.com

http://etherdex.org/

We use the same smart Contract, only FeeAdress and AdminAdress are Different! Also not 0.3 % Fee like Etherdelta.com, instead we only ask for 0.1% Fee!

Really? the lesser fee it is the better for the users..I hope this is authentic.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Japanese run the BTC price! on: May 16, 2018, 05:21:57 PM
If it closes below 8800 it will be ugly!
Yen is over 50 percent of volume!
We are at their mercy!
I dont think so, this is just a slight drop and this is normal. We have been constanly rising in the past weeks and now the drop is just normal and expected by seasoned traders and investors.  I know it will be recovered soon!
105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you believe May 2018 willbe the last time that Bitcoin price is under $10000 on: May 16, 2018, 02:42:22 AM
In a Tweet on May 3, Sherman-Founder of Bitcoin Foundation Charlie Shrem announced that this month the Bitcoin market would mark an important turning point.

May 2018 will be Bitcoin's "last time" at under $ 10,000. That was Shrem's statement, which made the digital money community flutter. From less than $ 6,500 in the first quarter of this year, BTC / USD prices rose by over 30% in April and have kept rising ever since. Previously, there was a long-term trend analysis indicating the beginning of the 'hold' phase for Bitcoin. Right from the first week of the month, we have seen one of the most obvious signs that an uptrend may begin soon. Currently, Bitcoin has been traded at $ 8,397.10 and Ethereum at $ 700.10.

With Shrem's strong statement, do you believe from June 2018, Bitcoin and Ethereum will change drastically and the value will start to increase rapidly?

This are all predictions no one can say for sure what will really happened with bitcoin price in the coming months. Many were speculative that May the price will reach to 15k but it did not happened. Everything is possible though so we keep an open mind and stay positive!
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto faster & cheaper? on: May 16, 2018, 02:33:35 AM
Bitcoin fees are higher than any other coin. This is due to a lack of scalability and thus high mining fees, which also effects transaction speeds. Ethereum and LiteCoin have much lower fees and send much faster. XRP is cheaper and faster than that. IOTA is free but their wallet is not quite up to par yet. This market is still very young and growing. Eventually these issues will be worked out. But the great thing about competition is that you can choose which method you want to use. And if you’d rather stay in the fiat world you’re free to do that as well.
For user of payment via bitcoin this might be a down point for the high fees but the security of bitcoin is formidable compared to other cryptocurrencies. Litecoin, ethereum and other altcoins has lesser profits compared to bitcoin that could double in just a matter of minutes..
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Not a good time to buy, according to this source on: May 15, 2018, 07:21:32 PM
Do you guys agree that now is not a good time to buy ?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/pro-btc-wall-st-analyst-urges-not-to-buy-crypto-now-despite-recent-rally

I think his argument regarding engagements is not a good reason, because if we have high engagement , then the prices will be higher. So the best time to buy is when we have good signals, and I think we have such indicatives now.

So, what do you guys think? Is really not a good to buy?
Why not?  i believe if people has the enough amount to invest then right now is actually ok to buy a crypto investment. The price has been increasing in the past month if April up to now the increase is constant though slow but I think this is a good movement.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: May 15, 2018, 07:23:57 AM
Be ready and aware that 2018 is the year of regulatory reckoning. Countries around the world are trying to determine how they are going to treat cryptocurrencies. Securities and Exchanges Commission (SEC) has halted several ICOs and hinted at the need for greater crypto regulation.

I am into cryptocurrency because of freedom, I can't deny to myself that I have worries regarding this issue. And as an investor, I really have no choice but to stay with crypto once the governments around the world have control to cryptocurrencies (if that became possible).

So as much as we can, also invest with physical properties with what you've earned. For we don't know what will happen next with our money in the digital world.

This is not an advice. It's simply a shared idea.

How about you? What do you have in mind? Undecided

For me if government takes over bitcoin then only the name is retained and everything else is change. It's essence will be lost and cryptocurrency will never be the same. No more freedom everything is controlled..
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where can my friends buy bitcoins and other cryptos? on: May 14, 2018, 06:52:10 PM
The one way to buy it is in Indonesia. Bitcoin.co.id

But it's 20% more expensive there.

Anywhere else?

We are located at Indonesia, Singapore, US.

(by fiat of course, otherwise there are tons of options)
I think localbitcoin is the safer..You can never put your guard down nowadays everyboday is just waiting to devour you once they can find a chance. Scammers are also rampant. So it is better to be referred by someone you know has been in this business for a long time just to be extra sure
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin: is it the coin of the future ? on: May 13, 2018, 02:59:20 PM
With the imposition of crypto currencies a new reality on the international investment scene, the views of international investors varied among the supporters and opponents of the circulation of the most known digital currency "bitcoin" in the middle of  the enthusiasm of digital investors to make a quick profit on the one hand and warnings  And the fears of experts on the other hand about the bitcoin future trading that may not normally appear in traditional investments.

In view of the movement of the bitcoin, from its inception until now fully aware that we face the possibility of bursting bubble price at any moment, and the reason for the lack of real value of this currency compared to currencies traded in dollars, there are assets behind the currency such as gold or minerals, material as a real estate sector in addition to the absence An organized governmental body for trading this currency.
Well, I hope so.. there has been a lot of delimma nad blockage to it improvement and world acceptance. Obviously the big conglomirates are bot happy about this service because this post a big threat to their interests. Possibly could lessen a greal deal of money when the general public will use it and the big conglomirates will not benefit from it. So it might be possible that bitcoin could become the currency in the future but it has to really fight to reach the top.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: True BTC believers on: May 12, 2018, 04:33:54 PM
I think it would be fun to have some kind of an idea about why people are in on the 'crypto-wave'. Let me be clear, that there is no right or wrong answers and both are good and none are 'better'..
Is it entirely because of the money that can be gained from the potential price increases, or is it because you believe in the tech? Maybe you do not believe in the BTC but other cryptos, that counts as well for 'believing in the tech'.
If you do not know whether you believe in it or not, you have not read enough about it, and then you are in because of potential gains.

I personally do not care at all about the reason, and there is not one of the two which are morally 'best'. It is completely okay to invest from the only belief and hope, that the money invested will become more worth. I just think it is fun to see
I think as human as we are we tend to believe on things that has given results to many people and we tend to follow the trend but once this trend does not give us what we expect we normally feels dissappointed and less interested. The true believers of bitcoins actually are those who have experience the great change it has given into their lives. It is just pretentious to say that I believe in bitcoin etc. even if we have not actually felt nor experience the benefits. But as the saying goes there is always first time in everything those hopefuls will keep coming but they are just hopefuls not believers.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin is the Fastest of 'em all? on: May 11, 2018, 03:50:48 AM
With ETH I never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes to complete a transaction. Heard a Lot of good words about the speed and recently tried LTC. Took 19 mins to complete my first transaction  Undecided Tron and NEO founders promise lightning speed, never tried yet. Some guy from this forum just claimed DigiByte transfers to complete in seconds.
I am puzzled. I really need a faster coin that charges Lowest tx fees to HODL as well as to use regularly. Share your favorite coins that you personally experienced/used. How Long does it take to complete a transaction and how much is the fee.  Roll Eyes
Yes I also think so my friends towho are in altcoins has been enjoying the fast results of Ethereum..So far this is the fastest and the safest for us other than Bitcoin.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Crypto Wallet Protection Against Hacking: Seeds and Private Keys on: May 07, 2018, 04:00:44 PM
How safe are your Bitcoins and other crypto? I see two types of problems, one being wallets on devices and one being accessibility from online websites.

If someone has access your device then hacking your wallets is difficult but very much possible.

Dictionary
A dictionary attack is the simplest and fastest password cracking attack. To put it simply, it just runs through a dictionary of words trying each one of them to see if they work. Although such an approach would seem impractical to do manually, computers can do this very fast and run through millions of words in a few hours. This should usually be your first approach to attacking any password, and in some cases, it can prove successful in mere minutes

Rainbow Table
Most modern systems now store passwords in a hash. This means that even if you can get to the area or file that stores the password, what you get is an encrypted password. One approach to cracking this encryption is to take dictionary file and hash each word and compare it to the hashed password. This is very time- and CPU-intensive. A faster approach is to take a table with all the words in the dictionary already hashed and compare the hash from the password file to your list of hashes. If there is a match, you now know the password

Brute Force
Brute force is the most time consuming approach to password cracking. It should always be your last resort. Brute force password cracking attempts all possibilities of all the letters, number, special characters that might be combined for a password and attempts them. As you might expect, the more computing horsepower you have, the more successful you will be with this approach

Hybrid
A hybrid password attack is one that uses a combination of dictionary words with special characters, numbers, etc. Often these hybrid attacks use a combination of dictionary words with numbers appending and prepending them, and replacing letters with numbers and special characters. For instance, a dictionary attack would look for the word "password", but a hybrid attack might look for "p@$$w0rd123"

There are so many softwares out there that try to crack passwords. If someone has a wallet that can be accessed via a seed or private key then that too can be very problematic no matter how unlikely. For example, if you have an Ethereum private key you can go to myetherwallet.com and access funds. If you do not have a private key however low the chances of success it is possible to use the Brute Force attack to try to get access. That same Brute Force style attack can be used with so many different types of seed related online and offline wallets.

No matter how you secure your crypto whether using hardware wallets such as Ledger, Trezor or Keepkey or using Offline Paper Wallets or using Online Web Wallets or using Desktop Wallets or anything else, the problem is your crypto is only safe as long as nobody has your private keys.

How do you keep your crypto safe and do you feel more could be done to keep them safer?

I think this is a good topic to discuss for security measures.  Especially for newbies like me I hope that with this thread posts I can learn more secure ways to protect my wallet..I have been on constant worrying especially that Just two weeks ago I have a friend whose wallet was hacked. I hope those those higher ranks and admins will posts some informative and helpful tips. Thank you.
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are banks and governments scared of Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2018, 03:49:11 PM
So many countries now were prohibiting the use of virtual cryptocurrencies. And to think that many unemployed individuals were beginning to uplift their way of living because of their dealings with cryptocurrencies. Banks doesn't expressly say why it is banning the use of Bitcoin.
What do you think is the reason behind this?
Banks is a business so if investors pick bitcoin to use for a transaction, banks will lose its support and no money will enterin their pocket. On the other hand government wants to rule over bitcoin and wants to be the main blockchain and generate some tax according to the recorded transaction made. This only my opinion as what i analyzed in every news that i read about cryptocurrency.
Quite right. No matter how goid bitcoin nad blockchain they can never appreciate it because it is a competiting factor to them that has big potential to make their system obsolete. That is why, as simple as that.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How foolish are people who invest in Bitcoin? on: May 06, 2018, 01:44:04 PM
How many idiots who decided to invest in bitcoin!!!!!!!

It is necessary not to watch as he grows from 15000 to 17000. This is a visual illusion.
And as it grows from 1.5 to 1.7.....

In recent days printed 180 million tether and still no big growth....
Lending on the stock exchange came to a billion dollars.
The credit rate on the day was a record and more than the 0.103%.

This means that the market has reached its peak. The price of cryptocurrency maximum.
This is the moment when you have to sell everything.

So began a process of growth needs the infusion of more money.... They're gone.

I think the joy of endless growth to an end this weekend.

Nothing in this world is eternal and permanent.....
And rising prices of bitcoin are not eternal.... all ends already.....
You bark too much without measuring and considering the high potentials of bitcoin and of blockchain.  You are just another negative person who thinks little of cryptocurrencies and when it proves you wrong with its result you just cower down and eat up your words. You can fortold the incoming events  one can, and you must not say how bitcoin ends because i think you dont even know and understand how it eveb begun.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin vs. real money??? on: April 25, 2018, 03:35:09 PM
I believe in bitcoin more than real money.
As it has been, the bitcoin will eventually rise.
Bitcoin is very helpful for people who are in the go because we can transact 24/7 anywhere for as long as we have internet a loptop or an android fone.. But to be honest as much as I want to use it there is very limit access to the establishments that I want to use it with..so as of this time I will have to choose fiat money.. I hope that one day bitcoin will be accepted in all establishments so that I can fully use its potential.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the birth of bitcoin will cause google to die? on: April 23, 2018, 08:04:36 AM
Google will be here to stay and they will just adopt cryptocurrency if its needed and as well as the blockchain technology. If you are thinking about google's death, don't think about it anymore. It's the number 1 search engine worldwide and it can be dead unless google's management is starting to leave their company. Google has been advanced with their technology, data centers and almost everything and Google Is Working on Its Own Blockchain-Related Technology.
Yes you are right, google is fucosing more on researches, it is a research engine while blockchain technologies as of now is widely use on the process of take notes of the transactions made of all bitcoiners.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland and bitcoin, a marriage made in heaven on: April 23, 2018, 02:18:50 AM
Switzerland known all over the world for its banking secrecy, aim to become a major "crypto nation". It has been a friendly nation to icos and is bold in claiming their support. Having the reputation of allowing wealthy clients evade tax and its outright stance on cryptocurrency has put the country at a very big risk.

Roman Bruskov, DeHedge Editor-In-Chief told Express.co.uk said “It will not be long before we witness the first scandal involving the words ‘Swiss’ and ‘crypto’ in the same headline if such hazardous foreplay with the phenomenon is allowed to develop further.”
Yes it is! If switzerland welcomes bitcoin then it will really prosper because it is a country woth so much liberalism and freedom same as bitcoins nature of decentralized system.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: April 22, 2018, 01:05:58 PM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other
Yes bitcoin is number one in popularity. Also this means that bitcoin continues to dominate the cryptocurrency industry also being the first ever made crypto ever made nothing has surpasses its security and market value. There are many other altcoins appearing that are lesser in capital but also has lesser profit though this also mean lesser risks in the part of the investors. But im still number avid fan of bitcoin. Bitcoin rocks!
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices on: April 20, 2018, 03:32:46 AM
With the unstable increase and decrease in bitcoin is it a good idea buying, selling or holding now? Like yesterday I saw it hit $19,000 on coinbase but today it stands at $16,000

The price today is 8239.22 comparing to last year December at 20k. A big price difference but this present price is way better than after its falling price that started last january 2018 it has continually drop after peaking at 20k . Last february it has drop to its lowest price value at 5939k and many people got depressed lost faith in bitcoin and many has sold out this situation has been celebrated by may fiat supporters. And adding to the blow many country has banned bitcoin use and also there were social media blockage. Many thought it was the end of bitcoin. Not until this first week of April it has started to show a positive price increase peaking at 8300k. This has been goinng on for two weeks now and the price continous to stabilized and it is  regaining more popularity in the market place.
