When BTC has big price surges it is almost always accompanied by falls in the prices of alts because people are keen to get their hands on BTC.
Sorry, Steve, but this sounds stupid. Do you realize that currently 100s of billions $ are traded into digital currencies on monthly basis? Should I remind you what happened (even though you probably weren't around) after Mt Gox and The DAO failure (to name a few)? What happens now? China bans Bitcoin - we don't care, we buy. Russia bans Bitcoin - we don't care, we buy. All these circumstances would have caused huge negative impact back in the days, but things are now different. More people into Bitcoin = more strong hands. You cannot compare it with history. Bad thing is that alts are suffering, but as I said - the ones who deserves it will eventually flourish as well.

I believe my thread makes more sense now. Bitcoin is skyrocketing and alts are being dumped.
I kinda expected Bitcoin to shoot up a lot once it really broke the $5k barrier. It had been stuck just under it for a long time now. The same happened at $3k, and the same happened at $800. If it follows the same pattern, that would mean $8k soon. Yes, but this time alts are being dumped harder than before. Myself am holding alts only and I can tell you that I don't like my current balances. So far only LTC is performing well vs BTC, but this was expected.

I have a knack for seeing the BIG picture, the macro view...
Then I have a few questions (not because I'm interested in your idea, but because I also tend to see the BIG picture). 1. Boston is an expensive city. Do you really think you can buy a place and build a Cafe for $250k? 2. How much do you think is the turnover for such a Cafe? 3. What do you think would be the monthly/yearly profit from such business? .. and the most important question: 4. Why people should invest in such venture? A good business is considered one, which could make ROI in 3-5 years on average, but "investors" in digital currencies are not famous with being patient.

The account has been recovered. Thank you for helping out.
Kudos! Removing my negative feedback, once Isaac confirms.

Hi Isaac,
I have posted a negative feedback (not sure why I didn't do it before...). Please keep me posted.

Hello,
One more vouch from my side. Isaac (aizzaku) is part of the FAILCommunity team and he contacted me on Facebook to tell me what happened. I know both aizzaku and batesresearch (with whom I work for more than 3 years now), since we are in a same team. They even met each other in person.
I really do hope the admins will help him out!
Cheers, Spartak

Hello Friend,
First of all, thank you for your support, without which there would be no success.
Yes, I removed almost 45 thousand coins from it and the whole Brazilian community as well.
It was very exhausting, I had many discussions with the ADM (dominikherzog) but at the end of it was solved. At some point we also sent PM to (BlackSmith) although it never manifested itself.
That's nice to hear, because the value of these coins was pretty high. Good luck! Cheers, Spartak

Hello friends,
I come here to inform you that yobit allowed withdrawals from our currencies. Although the wear has been very large, I now believe they are extremely disorganized. But not thieves. I am sad to acknowledge this fact, because it would be a place where I would like to negotiate a lot.
Be alert to never give up birgar to have your requests met.
So you got ALL of your coins back?

Well, say straight. What do you think is coming?
I'm kinda confused, but would bet on a uptrend (on everything worthy). Long term speaking, there is only one way for this market, and that's only up. Short term speaking, the only obstacle that stands in the way of this growth is the hard fork in November. It's impossible to put it aside like it doesn't matter, and due to the uncertainties connected to such an event, I am expecting anything between $3000 and $4000 till we know how everything plays out. I prefer to not do anything at this point, but might start increasing my positions if the market falls well below the $3500 level. That's what worries me the most in the first place.

I believe we can expect two things:
1. Bitcoin will skyrocket. 2. Incoming dump.
Basically you're saying it can go both ways, nothing new there You're right, but both ways means Bitcoin and altcoins. Looks like "investors" are packing up for a Bitcoin's uptrend, but there is another side of the story - TA and expectations are not always applied to cryptrocurrencies. Which means some craziness is about to happen, at least in my views.

Which currencies are you referring to that are losing value against the dollar etc? From what I can see most are relatively stable after a slight recovery in the recent week, such as ether and XRP and LTC.
Relatively stable and this market are a completely different things...

Hey guys,
As the title says - I've noticed something strange. Some major currencies are losing short-term value (not only against EUR/USD/GBP/name_your_currency), but against Bitcoin as well. I believe we can expect two things:
1. Bitcoin will skyrocket. 2. Incoming dump.
Reading my thoughts this way looks hilarious, but "myself know what I mean". We've seen this before, but I'm pretty sure something is about to happen.
What are your thoughts?

can you list FAIL in tradesatoshi or liqui?
We're not ready to speak with exchanges. Meanwhile, EmpoEx updated their website with the following message: EmpoEX is closing its doors. Please contact us at support@empoex.com or empoex.freshdesk.com to claim any outstanding balances. Parties interested in purchasing the platform may email their offers, along with a brief overview of plans for the business. Please include "Purchase Offer" in the Subject field. Thank you to all our customers over the years. Please contact them and claim any coins you have on the exchange! Cheers, Spartak

I have personally to say this about EmPoex's fail (strange no-one covers it yet). These guys (some are publicly known) will go the same regular way their predecessors went. I did have small buy orders opened there totaling 0.3BTC. But as always, me with $1200 invested, other Jay's and Joe's combined will hopefully sue these cheaters to death as we did before. Good luck to these assholes explaining all this mess you did to the higher authority.
Did you wrote them?

Hi guys,
EmpoEx are still under maintenance and to be honest I don't have a good feeling about it. I wrote them a DM on Twitter on September 20th and still no response. Moreover (as far as I know), their maintenance wasn't announced.
We will be start working on the wallet design tomorrow. Panoch is back from his trip.
P.S. We still look for more suggestions about PoS coins. Which do you think is "the best" right now?
Cheers, Spartak

I would suggest them to fix these issues, because the negative feedbacks are not the only consequences, which YoBit may need to deal with. Trust me when saying that victims and scam busters are not the only ones who are reading this board.

Hello,
Just saw that EmpoEx is under maintenance, but it wasn't announced on Twitter or their thread. Please let me know if you have issues.
Cheers, Spartak
It seems EmpoEX is still in maintenance... whatever that means. Does anybody know if they will reopen at all? Cheers - psycodad I have no idea, but I'm checking them every day. As for the weekend - I couldn't do anything. But will focus during this week. I had a conversation with Panoch though. Will reveal more in the coming days. Cheers, Spartak

Hello, There is a scam accusation against this "exchange" (with quotation marks, because I've never heard of it) and we're talking about 250+ BTC. I am going to try to help the investigation and I can guarantee that the accusation is legit as the victim is a friend's friend. The reason to post this here is because I found nothing about them here in the forum and I'd like this to serve as a future reference. I kindly ask for more information on them (if you have any). Website: www.internetcoinexchange.comTwitter: https://twitter.com/InternetCoinsThanks, Spartak
