Griffith is still here and still willing to take over with his team.
Strasbourg willing to help when needed.

What else do we need ? Really ?

Everyone just leave a message to supercoindev here and anywhere you can.

Mine is :

Supercoindev, thank you for all your hard work and thank your for releasing the code.
Right now we have Griffith willing to take over and Strasbourg willing to help.
Please name them in the main thread as the new developers of the coin!
We need that so all exchanges accept that and the coin can finally take off.

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 23, 2014, 08:57:44 PM
I see a lot of votes for Griffith and my vote goes there too.
I would really love to see supercoindev and strasbourg agree that a dev that is willing to learn the specifics of the code and work on it is better then no dev.

We really need supercoindev on board so he can give access to github and to all other stuff.

So i really hope he will agree with the communities choice.

I'm just happy that Supercoin's anon system really was real. Grin
I believed in Supercoindev from the 1st day he posted here. Grin

+1

I always like people who help supercoin, as I have been there since the launch of the coin. Made some BTCs and lost some with it. I found the technology used is excellent and white paper clearly written. Now orig dev left, someone wants take over, we all welcome that. But that person does not understand anon, does not understand multisig, accuse supercoin not anon because he can use the transaction amount to match it, ignoring previous messages that simple algo can fix it. I am questioning if this person is really good for supercoin? OK learn and prove that you understand the supercoin, otherwise how we can trust your "improvements" on the supercoin? Very simple question that will be in the mind of every supporter of the supercoin. I don't understand some of the messages posted in the thread.

Question all you want, but what is YOUR suggestion ? Let supercoin die with NO DEV ? Is that it ?
What will happen if no one takes care of supercoin and no one actually MAKES the SIMPLE algo fix ? Are you going to make it, its so simply why not ? Are you going to be the new dev ?
STOP just saying - I DO NOT LIKE THAT. Give a suggestion, DO something about the coin, do not just whine and wait for a miracle to happen ....

If Griffith does not understand some thing ( and i do not say thats the case, but some people pointed that out ), even strasboug pointed out that he starts to understand them and anyone can learn.

So the real question for all supporters is :

Is it better to have a new dedicated dev that will do his best to develop the coin, OR is it better to say " nah you are not good enough " and let the coin die ?
Since well, NO other dev wants to take over, strasboug said he understands that this is a big commitment and that he can nod take it this time. Sure maybe there are other devs out there but well NO ONE wants to take over.
Right now Griffith and his team are willing to take over and do the best they can !

ANY future development is better then NO development at all. What do you think ? Now, when it was proved that supercoin has awesome coding behind it, it will start  to rise and be the best coin ever, with no more developments and no dev behind it ? REALLY ?

IF THERE IS NO NEW DEV, THE COIN WILL DIE.

It IS simple as that !

And i am starting to have the feeling that all people behind the negative comments, simply do not wanna see supercoind succeed. Maybe they are interested in other coins ? Maybe they simply sold all the Super they have and now they wanna be " screwed ".

The post is getting pretty long, but last few words :

Griffith, please do not give up on supercoin, just cuz there are a few people that are against that.
Community, lets simply vote, after all the future of the coin does not depend on all the people that hate, it depends on the people in the community that actually have supercoins in their wallets !
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 22, 2014, 09:33:52 AM
A healthy discussion is always good, for everyone !

The important part is to find a way to continue developing the coin. If there are more then 1 person willing to help, isnt that even better ?
I mean if Griffith takes over and some one like strasboug offers to help, check for mistakes or whatever, isnt that just a big plus ?

And dont we all agree that the coin needs development for sure. And well since the code is brilliant, lets just make it even better Smiley

Isnt it a good idea for Griffith and strasboug  to discuss the code and what they think has to be done. Then send over a plan to supercoindev so he can finally give them all the access needed ?
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 21, 2014, 10:41:05 PM
I totally vote to pick Griffith and his team, there is simply NO better way for Supercoin at this point.
They are a dedicated team that is willing to help us, it would be not just foolish but suicidal for this community to reject them !

It does not matter if supercoin is fully anon or not, what matters is that the code is great ( as they confirmed ) and is working, on top of that it can be fixed to become more anon !

WE HAVE TO DO THAT, or the coin will die.

And with all of us giving respect to the old dev i have to say that even if he does not agree on some points. The community should vote and if needed go for a takeover ! The simple reason is that he stated that he has no time for the coin, so even if he does not agree on something, he will NOT do anything to fix it. So a new dev IS NEEDED or the coin will die.

The source code is out there, the new dev team said they are willing to take over the coin and develop it.

Now is the time for this community to decide ! Do you wanna see supercoin survive ? Do you wanna see supercoin have a future ? Do you wanna see supercoin grow. DECIDE NOW and state your vote !
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 20, 2014, 09:30:20 PM
I just want Supercoin to be successful!

same here ! Smiley
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 20, 2014, 09:04:59 PM
I would really like to see everyone working for the coin to do good, and not just fight over whats better.

Supercoindev did a great job and Griffith's dev team agrees on that, they say the code is great. Supercoindev will be leaving the coin as he does not have time for it, we all should respect that.

So why not just give out the BTC,facebook, twitter etc accounts to the new dev team and let them do their best for the coin.

I think its pretty obvious that the community wants them to take over and work on supercoin, so lets do it !
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 19, 2014, 07:37:47 PM
Well considering that a week ago super was trading with less then 0.1 btc a week and it was in danger to be de listed from bittrex. I can only say that this was a good start with last 24h volume at 2.6 at bittrex.
We can take a moment and relax and start thinking about the future Smiley
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 19, 2014, 12:13:45 PM
So, now that source is released, what would we have?

A bunch of clones, nothing more.

The only advantage is gone.

I wouldn't be surprised even if some biggest centralised coins show us "epic" anonimous solution based on this, but with different name, and "scientific" wallpapers to show us it's unique, and better than anything else.

Good Morning,

I do agree with you on the above points. I think it's a shame that the code is now available for all the copy&paste (read scam) developers. People have to understand that normal users can't even read the source code and are not interested in it either.

Copy&Paste developers will copy the code, rename the coin, change the merkle hash along with some other coin specifc futures and start releasing their pump&dump coins with this code.

UNLESS if SupercoinDev has changed some code, that only real developers can find to make the source code work....I REALLY HOPE HE DID

Now, lets see how we can continue with the coin, I think that is more important.

Good morning, friend.

I have that kind of hopes too.

Thank you and your team for all the efforts you are willing to make.

Well i was not trying to offend you in any way. I just wanted to point out that the code was not just released, but it was released so a new dev team can pick it up and continue developing. I totally understand your concerns.
BUT
First of all , supercoindev pointed out that the code is pretty hard and only really good developers can understand it and make it work. So if this is true, i guess that will make it  much harder for bad devs to just copy paste it.
Second, with a new dedicated team behind the coin, it means that we can have new features and continue developing the coin.

So i am trying to be positive Smiley
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 19, 2014, 09:20:08 AM
Ofc there is future development in the coin. Did you read true the last pages or just came here to share some negative nonsense ?
There is a new dev team looking over the code that will continue with the roadmap, there will be new development.
And well until now no one actually knew that the code was doing what the dev said it was, now we can finally find out if this is true and if it is, then you will see the real development.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: November 19, 2014, 08:56:48 AM
OK first let me thank all who care about this coin. Due to the fact that I see no experienced dev come forward to take over the code and people expressed their opinions to release the source code, I released it now at github
https://github.com/supercoinproject/supercoin-p2p

So we have an open source now, anyone can maintain and continue developing it. I developed the p2p anonymous system with multisig technologies in a little more than a month time, it was an exciting and intense month that I spent a lot time developing the code and testing. A few people helped me testing the code, especially supercointeam, and with whom we supported the supercoin community for many months. The code works very smoothly, though it still have many aspects to be enhanced which I will list below for the potential future developers.

It was fun and exciting with supercoin. We have many great supporters, also enough fudders. I still see sometimes people doubt if the code is real. Imagine this, how can I put fake things inside that can work so flawlessly? and with dynamic log messages that everyone can use the console and see? There are so many dumb people in this domain, and so few people who really understand the technologies.

Now the code is public, please review the code (well for those who really know the code, otherwise it will be tough for you... very tough). If you have issues with the code, please use debugger, you will understand it better. I may come back from time to time to check the comments and questions, but as I am busy, I won't reply unless it is really needed.

For the future developers, please note that the p2p anonymous code with multisig is done in about one month time, therefore while I ensure the main scenarios working fine, there are some codes I haven't got time to complete, this is mainly in the domain of error handling and reverting back the transaction, this should be easy to add (though it could be tedious) based on the existing code. Another potential issues is the out of sequence messages. I handled many such cases during my tests, all occurred scenarios are handled. But due to the potential high number of combinations, in rare case there may still be some potential cases due to out of sequence messages that the transaction may fail.

Anyway, have fun with the code, and if you understand it well, you can copy-paste to another coin. But doing so only if you understand the code, since it is complex code. I'd be really sad if you copy-paste the code but don't know how to handle issues when they occur  Grin

Thanks for SuperCoin! It inspired StealthCoin.

Thank you very much for releasing the code ! The community really appreciates this. But more importantly, the community really appreciates all your hard work on the coin, without you - there would be no supercoin ! So thank you very much for everything you have done and i really really cope you will be checking on us when you have time.

One last think i would like to ask from the name of the community, please pick some one that the community trusts and give him access to all of the social media channels. FB, Twitter etc.
Ofc the new dev team could create them all from scratch, but it would be such a waste to leave the old ones.

And to Griffith - the code is now open source, everyone is waiting on you to check it out and give us your opinion. I am the one who contacted you and told you that supercoin has a great community and great potential, now you will see that for yourself Smiley
Not to repeat my self but ... this coin has SO MUCH potential... Please lets develop the coin and get the roadmap complete.

And to the community, we need to pick a new community leader to start taking care of things. So please everyone who loves this coin and has some spare time to invest, please step up and lets do it.

Well this all sounds great to me and i am sure that as soon as the dev releases the code, supercoin will start rising again and reach its potential.
It had and still has a great community, just with all the problems some of the people got discouraged and left. However i am sure they will come very fast.
