Apparently NEM is presenting in China tomorrow.

https://twitter.com/i/web/status/874828981987459073

Nice!!
China is one of the most promising markets at the moment. NEM needs a better representation over there.

 Grin

There is already a NEM China site - http://www.nemchina.com/  (right click to translate to English (if using Chrome))

Lots of NEM related news on there including the the Chengdu Blockchain Conference:  http://www.nemchina.com/archives/3834.html

...
...

This guy is NVO dev.

I don't know why he wrote in french language.

Come on, i´m learning Japanese, i can´t learn french at the same time  Smiley
And what does "NVO" mean ?

Sorry for my ignorance.

Google Translation:

"As a matter of course, the marketing manager of NEM gave us the pleasure to contact us today, I hope to be able to talk with them in not long time, it is already an excellent step forward because NVO wants to work with all the Altcoin projects. We use counterparty, we stock on maidsafe, we want to use all blockchains".

There are other altcoins that will outperform NEM on a pure percentage basis so make sure to diversify your investments.  What I hold.. NEM, VIA, PASC, XBY, BAY, ARK, BLK, SHIFT, BSD.  Was going to buy NXT at $70M market cap but didn't.. NXT could end up competing with ETH in the long haul with Ardor and their child chain tech and the fact people are starting to issue tokens with their tech.  I probably won't buy it above $100M which will probably end up being a mistake.   Honestly if I had to chose between NEM and NXT/Ardor, I'd take NXT/Ardor at this point because it's less expensive.   The fact they didn't do an ICO with Ardor increases my confidence in the project, though apparently they do plan to do an ICO with Ignis, one of the Ardor child chains. We'll see if they can resist the urge to milk these child chains by doing a bunch of ICOs in the future.  At least they are honest about their intentions.. they ARE going to convert it to fiat.

I would be careful with Nxt. Nxt was the first "blockchain 2.0" coin out there and their tech has always been ahead of the curve yet nothing ever happens because of the absolutely horrible initial distribution that will forever haunt that coin. I've been watching Nxt since it was launched (I found Nem through Nxt) and every time it starts to rise a massive dumping from the whales who have been waiting 5 years to cash out begins.

I also found out about NEM through NXT.  Going back towards the end of 2013 when Bitcoins first ATH happened.  There were some people who missed out on the NXT ICO at the time and it was unfairly distributed, and if I remember correctly, UtopianFuture started off the "No Envy Movement" fundraising to try and fairly distribute the coin to more stakeholders.   We've come a long way since then.

Yeah Nxt was the first ICO and as it was a weird concept back then from what I've heard only around 20-40 people took part in it which created a really weird situation where those initial whales pretty much became millionaires overnight for very little investment but had no way of getting that value out of Nxt and into Btc/Fiat because trying to sell any substantial amounts would instantly tank the price.

This was pretty much why Nem was created in the first place. A coin that would replicate the great tech and fix the biggest flaw that was the distribution.

Thankfully Nem became much much more than Nxt ever was.

...and if you're interested, here is a blog from Jan 2014 from one of the original NXT stakeholders, telling of how he turned $400 into £30,000

Yes the fair distribution way key, I suppose we could say, we learnt from NXTs mistakes.  At the time NEM was going to be based on NXT code, but was then it was decided to go against that idea and build NEM from scratch with 100% new code. Kudos to the developers!

NEM boasts a "flexible and easy to build on utilizing a simple API."

If that is the case, what additional value will Atraura NEM Framework provide if we've already got a flexible and easy to build on utilizing a simple API?

Also, are you using Nano wallet or NCC?  There are video tutorials on youtube.

Does anyone else have problems with Poloniex ?
Transactions to/from are delaying XXX hours Sad

Same delay with ticket handling - what is the "hot line" to solve the slowness ?

There's no hotline per se, but you can try chatting with the moderators in the troll box, they're usually quite responsive and can escalate if you're experiencing issues.
Mods don't have access to tickets. Source? From the mods.

My verification 2 Ticket got solved today.... after 5 weeks... so be patient.

Mods don't have access, but they can help to get things moving.  I was waiting weeks for full level 2 verification, it was only after I bugged the mods, that my verification was accepted on the same day after they helped get the ticket escalated.

NEM is about the only crypto with a high TPS solution as i understand it

Bitcoin - 3 tps
Ripple - 1000 tps
Ethereum - 25 tps

Paypal - 115 tps
VISA and MasterCard handle over 2000 tps combined, and up to as many as 4000 tps on peak days.

The current NEM chain is capped at 5 tps
The NEM Catapult end-to-end prototype has been independently tested by third parties at over 4000 tps.

Peace and Happiness are within! Do not look for them in things. You will not be able to buy peace and happiness when NEM rises, yet you can still be very peaceful and happy losing everything. But in your case its not possible cause you are hiding it from your wife!

I've lost everything in the past and sleep on random couches, I was not very happy and peaceful. That's a bunch of bs I used to buy into.

You need money to have a somewhat stable life, period. Money is not happiness or peace, but it is freedom.

Money buys you freedom and choice.

Peace and happiness are your natural state in an unconditioned mind.  Your peace and happiness is found based on how you react to situations, whether good or bad, and treating them all with equanimity.

How much NEM is good to start harvesting and having any real profit out of it?
Thx

In order to harvest you need a vested balance of at least 10,000. There is no real way to calculate profit because harvesting is sort of a luck game and it is based on your wallet importance level. Some blocks harvested will have fees included, which you get to keep. Other will have a zero balance. I have about 25k vested balance right now and have been harvesting for about a week and have only harvested two blocks. One had a little over 17 XEM and the other had zero.

The only indicator of knowing we're harvesting is that is says that delegated harvesting is activated?

...and join the telegram bot channel @NemNotifications to receive updates on transactions and harvesting blocks.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: May 28, 2017, 05:34:23 AM
If I was in your position I'd choose either Japan or Singapore.  They do have a high cost of living, but they are very well developed.  Singapore is better for warmer climate and more English speaking people.  I'd use one of those countries as a base renting for 6 months, then go on holiday/vacation to different destinations around SE Asia for a few weeks at a time to experience life there.  Then decide where you want to settle.  Personally, I'd visit - Bangkok, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai, Seoul, Kuala Lumpur and Manila.  Just to experience life there.  I'm sure after 6 months you'd make a decision on where to settle.

I have recently harvested my first block via delegated harvesting. It is really a great feature by harvesting without having the wallet run.
But why is the forged block and the feed I've received not shown in the Nembex explorer? I usually use the explorer to watch my address and there was nothing new. I finally saw it when I opened my nano wallet I saw that I have harvested a block and got some NEM as fee.

There is a telegram bot available that sends you a daily update of transactions on your account to your phone, including harvested blocks and fees. I think it's called NemNotifications.

Abstract
Qchain is an upcoming digital advertising and analytics platform that is being built on

open, flexible, and inviolable transactions between advertisers and publishers through
the use of smart contracts. We bring together advertisers, individuals or companies

Interesting info there Taunsew, thanks for sharing.

RE: "kill the Poles".

I think this is just a minority of people who have that view, mostly due to Poles taking menial jobs and undercutting wages.  Obviously good for businesses, but not so good for some "working class" people.

I don't think many of the "upper or middle classes" have the same view, as they're mostly sheltered from exposure to Poles.  Most Poles seem to live in the more "working class" areas, and where there are a lot of people on welfare etc.

Part of the reason for Brexit was due to the this, as immigration from the EU had caused a lot of strain on public services, healthcare and education.  Would be interesting to see who is elected as Prime Minister on June 8th.

"Taunsew", who ? Me ?
Please, my english is a lot better, than his !
I declare, herefore and therefore: i´m not Taunsew !   Smiley
( I´ll thank my gods, he´s not here anymore)

Hi, no, there was another post below yours from Taunsew that I responded to, but it looks like it's deleted now.

Why nanowallet don't load today?  Huh

As a result 0 blockheight...  Huh

In 3 days, i had delegated harvest-blocks, with 270 XEM in it, thats about 60 bucks now, in ones claw.
Thank you NEM (standalone wallet).

And i do a little "lending" on Poloniex (i know, risky), but if i eat "Mama"-Soup, i could live from that. At least, its not "under a bridge", for my old age. I´m humble  Smiley

No, guys, i´m kidding, i want it all, and i want it now !  Smiley   Smiley
