Has the new wallet be released?

Was there a new wallet planned? Some news from the dev would be nice.

Three people you probably already know, talking about why privacy matters:

It would be interesting to know what their opinion of privacy focussed crypto's might be.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Setup Raspberry Pi for staking on: March 25, 2016, 11:04:27 AM
Is it possible to be staking 3 or 4 crypto's at the same time on a Pi 2/3?

Sure... They even sell Pi's that are pre-loaded with a couple blockchains of different POS coins... I'll search for the link right now

EDIT: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1217151.0

Awesome, thank you

Ohad, when it comes time to create the Agoras token, would/could you consider CryptoNote? Perhaps a fork of Monero?

first we have to know the mining scheme on tau that will be determined by the first users. this will reflect agoras' mining scheme

I might not be understanding correctly, but I did not mean the mining algorithm. I was meaning, could you use the CryptoNote protocol to provide transaction privacy? Bitcoin is transparent, and this is not good. Sorry if I am mistaken.

VERGE has been added to Crypto Database, you can now view it here http://cryptodatabase.net/coins.php?cat=V

If it is missing information or if some of it is incorrect please let me know.

cool, ill add it to the OP. you can change our explorer to blockexperts.com/xvg for now, im still fiddling with the one you have listed.

Excellent, I have updated the block explorer to the one you listed. The only thing holding it back from being marked as resourceful is the total amount of coins for VERGE. Is there a fixed limit to coins or is it unlimited?

16.5 billion will be made, but over decades lol

however if the community decides to change it along the way, that could happen. our plan is to continue evolving, forever.

Surely fundamentals, such as coin supply, should not be changed at a later date? What you are saying is that at some stage you could just double the number of coins, effectively devaluing all the existing coins. Or you could half the supply, doubling the value of your coins... you are playing God. Good luck bag holders.

Supply should never be changed. But if it may, you should state that in the OP since most users will assume a fixed supply.

Yep but we don't know how the world will look like in 50 or say 100 yrs from now. So it's something future generations will have to deal with. Interesting enough there's a big discussion going on behind BTC curtains where some are calling to double BTC supply for very interesting (positive) reasons but that's for another thread.

Do you have a link to any discussion threads?

I seriously doubt BTC supply would ever change, and by entertaining the possibility in Verge you will lose many possible investors.

Am I wrong in thinking Verge has the same public type of blockchain as Bitcoin?

i.e. Alice sends Verge to Bob. Alice and Bob now know each others Verge addresses, and can easily look at each others history of transactions in the blockchain.

Not really anonymous is it?

I see volume on bittrex, and action on twitter. But funding must not be coming in if the bittrex open market is trading below the offer price? also the sell wall is only 9 BTC. is that the remainder of the crowdsale? or would it be restocked if people bought through it.

also, the 3% premine. is that 3% of 42,000,000 or 3% of whatever is sold of the presale.

blog post mentions 3,000,000 sold as of mid December. 3% of 3 mil is 90k. vs 3% of 42 mil being 1.26mil.

The sale has began +1y ago while bittrex only a few months. Still also today most of the buyers buy directly from me (in almost all cases: since they want large amounts or to use paypal).
Indeed only ~4M tokens were sold so far.
Sale goes until a network is ready correct? And would you be taking 3% of 42 million tokens or 3% of whatever is sold?

right

Smiley
which is it?
3% of 42 million tokens?
or 3% of whatever is sold?

Interesting project by the way. I expect this will do well.

With regard to the GUI, can we be sure it fits in a 14in 1920x1080 laptop screen neatly, still looks the part and functions are easily to hand?

Quite a few GUI's I've seen recently don't fit into a 14in LCD which I think is poor as it's a common size these days.

When does pre-sale end?

One thing that really pisses me off about Bittrex is that there doesn't seem to be any sort of priority system involved when placing an order. I'm not sure if other exchanges are like this since I don't usually leave orders open, but I started a 16 sat buy order. There were no others open at the time. I've bought all but 1mil, but 2 other people have put in ~3mil orders that have been completed, but I'm still waiting. >.>

If you are 100% sure you should report it to them. It's a fundamental feature that they probably think is working on their exchange. If it's broken, I reckon they'd appreciate being told so.

ExchangeD.I2P has switched over, happy trading

http://exchanged.i2p/en/trade/btc_xvg_360

What is that like some sort of dark net exchange?  I tried to access it from my browser but it wouldn't work I saw some steps on how to access the site..  Do alot of people use this exchange?

You can actually access many (maybe all?) i2p sites directly from the clearnet. Just add .xyz to the URL.

http://exchanged.i2p.xyz

Obviously, because you are not using i2p properly by doing it this way, you lose your anonymity.

still waiting this coin entry to poloniex exchange
good job dev

Has the dev approached Poloniex about this already?

You are right.

Maybe I spam with this chart too much. If so we can move to trello for example.

This is progressing really nicely. I like it with the text - it may be obvious to us, but for outsiders the description helps.

This chart would be great if there was ever a new informative video made about Monero. Something like a quick flash of each of the three areas to draw attention to them along with a brief commentary to explain them. Good work aiwe.

XVG is the only logical choice. The market symbol must represent the actual name to some degree.

Lets be logical and not try to be clever. Clever is cute for about a week then is just annoying  Cry

completely agree.

How do I change my vote? I prefer XVG over XER...

Might want to play with settings in conf file a bit, I think I'm getting over 900 with 270 and almost 1100 h/s with 7950 using raw intensities of 768 and 1024, respectively. Can't swear to it because I'm not at home atm, but I'll check later...

Aye, cheers. It's better now. I had rawintensity of 2048. Now set at 1024 the 7950 is giving 1000 H/s.

Code:
main.c: In function ‘SetupXMRTest’:
main.c:502:8: error: unknown type name ‘cl_queue_properties’
  const cl_queue_properties CommandQueueProperties[] = { 0, 0, 0 };
seems correlated to opencl

check if catalyst is ok
Code:
fgl_glxgears

try to type your OpenCL 2 headers path into Makefile
Code:
CFLAGS 	= -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_GNU_SOURCE $(OPT) -pthread -c -std=c11 -I/home/user/AMDAPPSDK-3.0/include
and perhaps path to OpenCL lib
Code:
LIBS	= -ljansson -L/home/user/AMDAPPSDK-3.0/lib -lOpenCL -ldl

Aha, yes! Thanks. Previously I'd been adding extra paths to CFLAGS and LIBS, I think due to the way I must have installed things. On this occasion I'd forgotten the CFLAGS path.

Here's my CFLAGS and LIBS, incase it helps anyone else:
Code:
CFLAGS 	= -D_POSIX_SOURCE -D_GNU_SOURCE $(OPT) -pthread -c -std=c11 -I./include/
Code:
LIBS	= -ljansson -Wl,./lib/x86_64/sdk/libOpenCL.so -lOpenCL -ldl

Edit: 7950 hashrate gone from ~650 to 905 with little CPU use, so my CPU is rocking it's full potential now too. Good work Wolf
