10MW | BlockC | Unnamed | San Francisco, CA, USA (probably) Note: RIP BlockC. You never proved you actually had the hashrate, but you definitely proved you couldn't stay in business. Source: blockc.co God this makes me laugh so hard when I read it. I mean you didnt even get the location correct let alone any other possible information

idea 1 - Stop using cheap generic chinese PSUs barely rated for the power draw of an s9
idea 2 - throw the psu away and buy something more reliable, you might find a failure point but there will be no way to confirm what caused the failure, and you dont want to band aid repair a generic fire hazard PSU anyway

So by bringing this thread back up I wanted to know if this will likely happen again with the eth fork happening this month?
What does an ETH fork have to do with this conversation about ETC?

All you nee to do is log into your router and see what IP was assigned to it, you dont need IP reporter or any of that garbage

Why has noone mentioned this is not the place to be posting this? Please post in the proper altcoin section.
p.s. dual mining is basically dead at this point

Minefarmbuy, I’m sorry I don’t participate as much on bitcointalk than you or others do. I’ve only been in the industry for over a year or so. Dozens of bitcointalk moderators and members as well as hundreds of others in the mining industry will attest that I’m legit and thousands of people can attest that DJ Technology is legit. I understand if you have an allegence to Pango and if you prefer to remain sceptical of me or whatsminer.net, that’s your choice.
Scott was generous enough to get one of these into my hands for testing before being released. I cant vouch for anyone else but Scott is absolutely the real deal. Just my 2 cents...

Yeah, small fast fans are annoying. But I don't have anything I can look at in person, only pics from the net.
You can see the fans in the above picture, they are quite tiny but I dont know exact measurements or specs as I have never seen a PSU spec sheet for these models.

You should probably state whether it is a Vega 56 or 64
|
|
|
How many are you looking for? I have hundreds of dead s9 and t9 (NOT t9+) boards. Possibly have a few L3+ boards laying around well.

As I understand it the S15 only has two intake 120 mm fans on it, does it not?
Maybe one of them is for the PSU. Never the less, the one squirrel fan would replace both of them with a rating of 630 cfm versus 2x 38 cfm and way more static pressure too.
Take a look at the unit. There are 2 120mm fans to cool the hashing boards, but the PSU is built in with 2 small fans as well. Small fans spin at very high RPMs to move enough air to cool the PSU, which makes them very noisy.

|
|
Just as an FYI its the PSU fans that really make these units noisy, it is a grating high pitch whine

He is very active on the forums and while I cannot personally vouch for him as I have never purchased anything from him I dont think you will have to look to far to find people that will

I am impressed you guys take so much care before selling a used GPU. I figured people would just blow em off with some air and sell em to the first person that asks.
This community needs more people that care like that.

So this is a good idea if you want to feel like you are a part of the bitcoin network, but just know all the added costs of quieting the miner means your chances of ever even breaking even are pretty poor

I also vote PSU as the first thing to check on. It soudns like its hitting its power limit randomly and going into protect for a moment which causes a reboot similar to unplugging and plugging the PSU back in

One of your screenshots shows a unit with a single fan running at 600 rpm, the next screenshot shows 5 fans reporting. I have not personally touched an s9 hydro but either of those numbers would be cause for concern on a standard S9
|
|
|
S9 firmware has been reporting incorrect fan speeds from batch 1, it really doesnt have anything to do with the LPM firmware

M10S 3575w (unconfirmed) @55TH: 65w/TH
How is this unconfirmed when a few posts ago I shared my numbers with the actual M10S including screenshots and power draw....?

Better safe then sorry
I must say electronics on carpet like that with the risk of static shock when touching the unit would kind of worry me. Id place an anti static mat under those personally if they had to be ran on carpet or a rug like that.
