I can't sync either.  Compile with PNP support, over 25 connections, 0 blocks, can't sync blockchain with no obvious messages in debug log.

"blocks" : 0,
"connections" : 29,

I don't see why Hazard should get a scammer tag. Milkshake just failed as a developer. Let go, this coin is over...

+1
I like the monkey "Deal With It" and raise you this:

I pulled my previous post... it's obvious there is more going on here than is being relayed.
Unfortunately.. all this talk does is hurt the rep of two forum members.

Let's stop beating each other up...

Milkshake -- fix it.
Hazard -- work on your coin.

I've got blue balls now.

An old trick I learned a long time ago was to set the minimum fan speed to 50%.  Sometimes your clockspeeds can be so aggressive, and the ambient temp high enough, that the card will immediately lock upon the first few seconds of mining.

I'm ready for the launch.

I am listening to the new Daft Punk - Random Access Memories.  The song is "Lose Yourself To Dance" and the lyrics go a little like this:

"C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon C'mon"

I shit you not.

OMG, it's been a few minutes and the github is not updated.  Scam. lol
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Elacoin | Releasing In 1 Day | Fair Elastic Scrypt Mining | No Premine on: May 14, 2013, 05:10:20 AM
timestamp looks like 1 hour to launch here....
55 minutes.

Nolo: No, the last guy I gave the source to for him to build a windows binary ended up in a prerelease leak. Doesn't matter, new genesis block, watch for the official github repo.

So what you're saying is, this is going to be a release for those on linux, and those able to compile themselves on Windows?  Everyone else is just out of luck?
That's how many other altcoin's releases have been done, unfortunately.
113  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin Network Hashrate: >=1 EXAFLOP/s. UOW!! on: May 13, 2013, 09:05:24 PM
Isn't the irony in the articles who quote Bitcoin network speed in FLOPS is that there are no floating point operations in SHA256?

what's up guys ?
Hai guys.  What's going on in this thread?
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Low hashrate on 7970 scrypt? Under 700Kh/s? Here's what to do... on: May 12, 2013, 01:18:14 PM
One of the keys to your tuning is that you are using 2 GPU threads.  Older series cards like only 1 GPU thread.  This presents a problem in a mixed environment.  For example, I have two 58030's and one 7970.  I have to use -g 1 to get the 5830's to hash at ~290kH/s, but that drops the 7970 from 730kH/s to ~600kH/s.

Hmmm, surely you can set -g1 for one card and -g2 for the other..?
I tried some config options and it wouldn't let me.  If anyone knows how I'm all ears.

I have carried pocket knives for a really long time.  I have also been around a lot of other guys who daily carry.  Anybody who plays with their knife like that around a stranger has some issues.  They are usually either incredibly immature or they have significant social issues.  I get really uncomfortable around them, almost like they will think it is funny to swing the knife at you and possibly stab you on accident.

Joined the Linux crowd - getting approx twice the hashrate of Windows 8 64-bit binary.

For noobs interested:
  • Installed VirtualBox
  • Ubuntu Server 13.04
  • git cloned yacoin
  • installed all the latest dev libs
  • compiled yacoind from source with uPnP support
  • created yacoin.conf
  • hash
  • profit

~200-280kH/s on an i5 @ 4.2GHz.  Too bad the first hour gold rush was over...like a long time ago.  Would have loved to have been ready with this VM at launch.  Oh well, sitting on a couple thousand YAC's, ready for the next scrypt variant that is initially CPU-only so I can jump on it.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New FORUM Featuring ALT COINS on: May 09, 2013, 09:12:33 PM
Difficulty is too low at the moment.  Too many orphans.  This must be a scam.

BTW, how do I set up solo mining on it?  I downloaded this zip thingy.  How do I run a zip file?  Someone told me I have to extract it.  What does extract mean?  I think it is a virus.  Watch out, scam alert guys.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The YACoin Superfun Premine Thread on: May 09, 2013, 08:11:16 PM
Excellent conspiracy theories in this thread.  You guys continue to entertain me.  The reality is that you had to be there for the launch.  I was browsing the forums at 1AM PST and saw the launch of it, downloaded, and profited big time.  All you guys who were hours late and got caught out by the massive zerg rush can continue QQ'ing.

So which version of windows do you run?
Windows 8 64-bit.
