With the recent deployment of RC2 with ZeroTime support and the public beta looming I have taken measures to maximise transaction throughput while reducing blockchain size. The following measures were taken.
The maximum block size has been increased to 5 megabytes. This limit will double every 6 months.
The block timing has been increased to 400 seconds or 7.06 minutes.
This will initially allow for a minimum of 90 megabytes worth of transactions per hour or about 100 transactions per second.
Note: I am still testing this configuration on the test network so these numbers are not yet final.

Depends on number of coins and their age. With that amount you will have no problems with staking, give it 24-48 hours. Min/Max age: 8h/365 days |

The coin sounds cool and all but John is going to destroy it if he keeps alienating people with his attitudes and methods.
Fake whitepaper.
Fake code.
Fake investors.
The tech and coding is great I'll give him that but his methods are troubling.
If this is actually true in regards to vanilla coin than i do not see any way how this coin could be successful. People are already super wary about new coins, and acts like this will undoubtedly turn the masses away. Yep, all the threads on VNC here lately have really dug a very deep hole for that coin which will be difficult to recover from imo. In 2015 most people here have seen it all before and have very little tolerance for any sort of dishonesty on the part of the developer. My honest advice for OP and anyone else who is really convinced that the tech behind VNC is legit and ZT immune to sybil attacks is that they should get a group together, sell their VNC now, and use the proceeds from that to hire a new developer or two and fork VNC and go forward with a clean start. That seems like the most economically rational thing to do from where I'm sitting. Although in my experience in the altcoin scene people tend to put their emotional attachments ahead of their rationality, so I'm not going to be surprised if no one does that. Even with the skepticism around VNC now, I think a fair and transparent launch now with the VNC code base would probably attract a lot of people just because it would be something new. Coin gets a ton of FUD and lies and then those same people go about making a clone.....seen that before....usually it is the best advertising a coin can get that's it's something great. Did you ever see a clone more successful than the original? Where is NEM these days. Lol. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. All these fudders missed VNL boat and waiting for a fresh one and they honestly wouldn't care about "Dishonest" past of code they will hype, after a rehash of the old arguments. |

Even if the ZeroTime implementation hadn't been REKT by mathematicians and computer scientists left and right, AND it was working... we would need a fair relaunch of a ZeroTime blockchain (NOT VanillaCoin) because of all the lies and dishonesty surrounding it and it's creation.

There is nothing "dishonesty" surrounding VNL creation, you just frightened, but it's OK, you just a human after all. Posting fake code to trick audits and waste people's time? Dishonest Removing the bitcoin copyright attribution and committing copyright infringement? You mean like Satoshi secretly worked on an advanced version of his original Bitcoin? These rumours go around yes. Unsubstantiated and I do not claim either true or false, but there are people that believe JC was very close to the fire of Bitcoin's inception. I mean the whole hype around it. I really appreciate the technology and useful innovation but it looks too good to be true for an investor. Almost all big altcoin pumps that I remember happened unexpectedly after a long price stagnation. It is important to separate the tech side from price expectations. They don't always go hand in hand. You never seen hype then: MZC, AUR, BC, DRK (Dash), XC, Cloak, XST, CANN. They all had HYPE, VNL doesn't have even a half of it, with working ZeroTime. |

So im kinda wondering how to stake now again, I have the new wallet now ofc.
But i have a lil over 500 in my wallet now, it is unlocked I have checked the debug.log and that appears to be ok.
I am mining about 20 coins from a pool into the wallet everyday, previously was 10 a day.
It did stake one time, last week, from the 1st 10 coins, i put in over a month ago.
But since then nothing.
Are there any tips to staking? Cuz at this point, one .003 mint for having 10 coins in there for a month is not really worth keeping the wallet running and unlocked. And i might as well just move the coins to an exchange with the rest and trade with them.
I made a test earlier, it took 5 days to get a first stake for 2000 vnl (unlocked 24/7 | 1 transaction).  Bigger amounts (10000+) stakes 3+ times a day. |

Nothing wrong with healthy criticism/review I would personally rather know if there is some vulnerability with zerotime wouldn't you? There is no public ZT code for review and he already has found a vulnerability, cool, send feedback to developer (John Conn er as he named him) and he will fix it IF it's real of course.
