Is there a Cap on this?

There is no cap on possible funds raised.  We are using a price discovery system in which the market decides what it wants when it comes to our TEC.

Oh, I hate that.. It brings into question whether the company knows how much money is needed to complete the project.. I would suggest a Cap, a hard limit..

Hello,

You can see all that information on the use of proceeds page.  It goes over the funding tiers and what will be provided if we hit those goals.  We are not placing a hard limit on BPL because we want the market to decide what it feels is a fair price for the token.  With this method we can provide the best possible value for our investors.  Total BTC investor supplied/ total bitcoin raised = % of coins supply to be allocated after TEC ends.  So if we raise 500 BTC and an investor put in .25 BTC they would receive 0.05% of the 20,000,000 to be dolled out.  In this example the investor would receive 10,000 BPL.

Regards,
locohammerhead

Okay sure. My next question is, why are you willing to accept about 60 crypto coins?

To provide access to as many possible investors as we can.  The majority of coins will be processed through shapeshift and converted to BTC.

Thanks Loco for detailed explanation.

Byt he way which exchanges are you planning on listed Blockpool? Do you have any agreements with main exchanges?

We plan on being listed on the normal sites  Bittrex, Cryptopia, Bleutrade, yobit, c-cex etc but we also want to try for the larger exchanges like Kracken and Poloniex when we have our platform and smart contracts built.

Blockpool team, few questions as i can't find these details on the first post..

1. What is your minimum limit for total investment. If you are not able to collect the min amount, is ICO gets scrapped? All investors will be refunded? Does the amount include the investment through audio coin also?

2. From some of the comments, it looks like you are going to use LISK code for contracts. So what is it that makes your team be successful where LISK have failed. whats the marketing strategy to get this coin accepted in B2B business area.

3. You have a large different for the Audiocoin price and the price you are paying/considering in this ICO.. how can you assure me that this is not just a ploy to get the Audiocoin price increase to unload the coins that you may have and scalping the ICO in the end. Sorry for asking this questions, you guys could be genuine but there has been so many scams in Alts

Hi mandar,

Good questions.

Our minimum amount is 100,000.  We do plan on refunding investors of the TEC if we don't reach the minimum goal.  The ARK Team is escrow so if we don't reach the minimum 100,000 the funds will be given back to the investors.  If we reach 350,000+ we have stretch goals set in place.  You can find our advanced funding tiers here: https://blockpool.io/docs/BP_PROCEEDS_A.pdf

Question 2
Part 1
The ARK team has done a great job of stripping out the LISK smart contract code and providing a clean platform to work from.  We have two options really.  Try to implement the new LISK 1.0.0 smart contracts, which I understand could potentially be a hassle due to how they are built.  Or two build them ourselves.  I'm personally not one to reinvent the wheel if something works but I also have no problems doing so if if it doesn't.  Our plan is to try to implement the new LISK 1.0.0 Smart Contracts and test them out on our system.  If we are not happy with how they function or if implementing them does turn out to be a major hassle we will create our own side chain system.

Part 2
Over the past year and half we have been working on developing partnerships and contracts with businesses and groups.  Kevin Bacon, our Chief Business Development Officer (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Bacon_(producer)) has great ties to businesses within different sectors.  One company we are working with is called BuzzBike.  They are a London based company offering Mini Cooper inspired bikes for free.  In return those bikes have advertisements on them.
BuzzBike has asked us to come up with a proof of concept that would allow their biking participants to also receive payment for going above and beyond.  The proof of concept is coming along nicely.  Some details on it can be seen here: https://medium.com/blockpool/blockpool-brands-poc-8f699c627607  At first it will be using the AudioCoin blockchain.  It will then be switching to a Blockpool sidechain when Smart Contracts are functioning.  The owner of Buzz Bike, Tom Hares is an avid tech enthusiast and the European Managing Director of Media Arts Lab working exclusively on Apple product campaigns for many years and is one of the BlockPool team advisors.

Question 3

Please, don't fret about asking this question.  It's an important one to know.  AudioCoin has been around since 2014.  Through that time we have seen the community grow.  We wanted to provide long time supporters and new comers to audiocoin a chance to get in on the TEC with their existing coins or at a better rate then they might be able to get with Bitcoin.

In order to help people feel confident we have enlisted ARK to provide escrow.  At the 15% funded mark $100,000 will be released by the ARK Team so we can expedite testnet development.  Only when we produce a stable mainnet (Smart Contract functionality will come after) does the full amount get released.

If your interested you can read up more on the Blockpool team here: https://blockpool.io/team.html
Our business plan, which goes into far more detail for question 2 and 3 can be seen here: https://blockpool.io/docs/BLOCK_BP_A.pdf

Where I can buy ADC? Is it true that I can exchange it to ICO price like 1 coin = 100sat? I've heard that's it's good time to buy it. I'm reading "nottoofast" at twitter and he said so.

Hey Chachaa,

You can get ADC at yobit, cryptopia and bleutrade currently and yes we will be accepting ADC at the price of 100 sat and adjusting from there depending on if the price goes above 100 sat.  Last I checked the price was at 50-59 sat depending on exchange.  So it is still a good time to get in.

What is the maximum number of tokens, is there inflation..?

Hello!

The initial coin supply is 25,000,000.  It is inflationary with rewards decreasing 5% per year until it reaches 1%.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ⚫️ BLOCKPOOL - Real World B2B Blockchain Solutions ⚫️ on: April 17, 2017, 01:53:01 PM

Read the OP.
This means I can participate in this TEC with AudioCoin at a rate of 100sat per 1 ADC?
Because the price currently is 40sat per ADC or so: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=ADC_BTC
Why is it fixed at 100sat?

That is correct.  Our hope is by showing our confidence in ADC you will return the favor by showing confidence in BPL tokens. We wanted to give back to ADC holders who have been with us since 2014.

At first I thought this is a scam, but on closer look, seems like the real deal.  But is this gonna be an ICO? How do we get tokens?

Hello,

The Token Exchange Campaign works a lot in the same way as an ICO.  Tokens will be released when the mainnet goes live around July of this year.

Really looking forward to this - looks like a lot of great ideas floating around in here.

Me too, I just heard about blockpool over the weekend and I've already picked up some audiocoin for when the ICO goes live.

Speaking of which, I just posted on the audiocoin thread as I am having problems syncing my wallet:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1151767.msg18624178#msg18624178

I figured I'd inquire here as well since the audiocoin thread doesn't get as much traffic.

Looking forward to the ICO!

Glad to have you on board hypershire.  I replied to your question in the ADC thread FYI.

LOL Buzzbike is the same concept as MAPC COIN which uses google maps to automatically find services / businesses that accept their token in a given location and point u to that place. Here u go: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1158633 Fucking LOL. The same goes for buzzbike which utilizes google maps to find bikes of a certain brand around ur location. What a fucken dumbassery. Cheesus christ if I were in ur shoes I would make a two-page smart contract coin instead.

Hello,

You can view our partners website here: https://www.buzzbike.london/.  Read up on what BuzzBike is and you will see while there may be a few crossing lines but overall the services are totally different.  Mapcoin is supposed to pay people for going to specific locations.  That's not what the BuzzBike PoC is at all.  BuzzBike provides free mini cooper inspired bikes with advertisements on them.  People get to keep the bikes by riding them around london, a very congested city.  BuzzBike approached us looking for a way they could pay their riders on the go.  This is still in the very early stages of development and a lot isn't implemented yet. We plan on making this into a mobile app so the riders can see their earnings in real time.

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN - Updated] AudioCoin ADC - Where Music Meets The Blockchain on: April 17, 2017, 01:23:56 PM
Hi all, I am unable to sync my audiocoin client... I used the bootstrap provided by Stoner19 and that got me to block 1178455 but my wallet always says 0 connections to the audiocoin network and that it is offline. The network connection is active and I am able to sync other wallets on the same machine.

Any ideas? Do I need to update my audiocoin.conf file?

Thanks!

But can we delegate our tokens somehow to the nodes to stake or must we be ourselves always node with big string bag of tokens?

We want to make this fair to everybody the best we can.  So we plan on setting top 201 wallets as delegates but since we need a stable network in order to make everything function properly we will be adding in some PC and Network speed requirements in order to qualify to be a node.

scam dev and it is going to be a scam coin using ark name.

Now that is just funny, given we have partnered with the ARK developers and will be sharing features with each others chains in the future.

Dont mind the idiot  Roll Eyes

This looks like a solid project. But an interesting question is what exactly has allowed both your projects to partner with each other? I'm curious to know since you're both doing similar things? Or is this Blockchain a niche that will do something ARK cannot? Thanks for your time.

Great question!  Our focus isn't solely around the Blockchain but how best to use it.  ARK Provides a perfect clean slate to work off of since they removed the LISK smart contracts which in their current iteration are a mess.  My understanding is the newest version of smart contracts from LISK are cleaner.  Our plan is to add them back in once LISK gets them ready.  Then the real fun begins.

Most Blockchain startups focus just on the Blockchain.  They use it as a catch-all.  Years down the road, this is going to cause problems for chains and their adoption.  Our plan is to create a Data Agnostic Platform to do all the hard work routing data from one plugin to another.  Only inputting data into the chain when permanent data retention is an absolute requirement.

Our platform will also facilitate connections between legacy systems and their respective databases.  In many cases companies are locked into legacy software for various different reasons and while Blockchains may help them, in many cases they don't solve the problem the companies face.  They don't replace software like SalesForce but they can play a major role in that replacement.

A few use cases we have come up with for our Blockchain and Platform.

A YouTube Competitor.  Using our Blockchain and platform, we can create a decentralized youtube, which allows fans to host video files for their favorite content creators and receive payment for it.

Art Auctions.  As of right now Art is one of the hardest items to track.  It can pass from one person to another without word ever reaching the copyright holder.  We are working with a company to fix this utilizing our Blockchain and platform.  We would connect up their auction sites, utilizing smart contracts on the chain and our decentralized file hosting plugin, we would be able to link certificates of authenticity old and new to valid purchases.  This would play a huge role in decreasing blackmarket sales.

Music hosting and streaming services.  We plan on upgrading Aurovine and Audiocoin to utilize our new platform and chain.  We will be able to move away from centralized cloud hosting and rely on the vast swath of data space that fans usually have.  Fans would receive payment for hosting audio files and music videos purchased on the Aurovine site.

Those are just a few of the use cases that we have come up with.  I'm positive there are way more that we have yet to think of as well.

Regards,
locohammerhead

Thanks for the thorough response. I appreciate it. So when you mention these usecases are you building them yourselves or looking to partner with a potential digital currency entrepreneur who has the business development but needs a blockchain like BlockPool? For instance the YouTube competitor? Let me know if this question makes sense.

Most we plan on building ourselves.  We are already working on one use case for BuzzBike https://medium.com/blockpool/blockpool-brands-poc-8f699c627607
As of right now we don't have plans to build the youtube competitor (although I personally would like to do so, or at least see someone else do it using our platform and plugins).  However if we progress with development fast enough I wouldn't toss it out as a possibility since it does fall well within our realm.
If someone wanted to partner with us to get this built we would be more than happy to enter into talks about it and to lend support where we can.

okay so this is one of Ark dapp?
will soon try to join some sociL media campaign when its up. it seem like thy will announce later and create a bounty thread soon.

Good morning,

1st ARK don't support DAPPS - they offer Smartbridges which is intercommunicating with other Blockchains.
2nd Blockpool will be a Masterchain for several private / public blockchains in B2B environment.

Ann. about social compaigns like newsletter/ signature will follow shortly.

Ark was a perfect clean slate to start with.  They removed the smart contracts from the LISK chain which were a total mess.  We plan on building our own smart contract system on our fork of Ark or if LISK comes out with one that is acceptable then we can look at adopting their smart contract system on our blockchain.  Until then the plan is to build our own smart contracts.  We don't really need sidechains although it would be a nice feature to have for future projects.  Our platform would be able to provide communication between different chains if needed, it would just require plugins be built for it. As BLOCKPOOL grows and different organisations adopt our platform, I'm sure we will come across that scenario.
