101  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: "Avalon" ASIC, announcement & pre-order. pre-order over. project started. on: October 14, 2012, 01:28:31 PM
If you are interested in buying Icarus boards to mine today, then upgrade it to ASIC whenever avalon ASIC is available, check my Icarus sale thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=115154.0

I've received BTC from GLBSE.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thoughts on mid term gain Litecoin v. Bitcoin on: October 11, 2012, 10:09:33 PM
It is hard to tell if its better to invest in LTC or BTC, but there are a couple of facts that would make LTC investment more profitable than BTC in the coming 3 months.  The first fact is there are more services accepting LTC today than it use to be a couple of months ago. The second fact is when ASIC is gonna hit the BTC network, all GPU miners will be directed to LTC, also there would be new FPGA bitstreams for LTC. In return LTC difficulty will increase dramatically. The third fact is LTC price is already rising and its more profitable to mine LTC today than mining BTC. Such LTC price rising will drive LTC difficulty higher in a couple of weeks if not couple of days. LTC difficulty will then keep rising up until it reaches a point where mining LTC is as profitable as mining BTC.

Bottom line you can expect much higher LTC demand, value and difficulty in just 2 months from now.

When ASICs hit bitcoin, I think LTC price will go lower, like namecoin price did when merged mining hits, as people want to get out the last juice of their GPUs before they're sold, and they will sell at any price.

That would be true on day one, but not in a month after ASIC hits the BTC network. For sure LTC will drop down first, but then it will bounce back to a new price record. Still no one can tell what will precisely happen by that time, its all just speculations!
104  Bitcoin / Project Development / Decentralized BTC Stock Market [Goodbye GLBSE] on: October 11, 2012, 10:31:53 AM
This thread is an attempt to answer the following questions, and to mind storm about the possibility of having an open source decentralized BTC stock market protocol/features/design.

  • GLBSE is closed, so what is next?
  • Is it possible to have a decentralized BTC stock market in the same manner BTC/namecoin operates?
  • Is it possible to have a new protocol/block chain where assets "instead of coins" can be created by the asset issuer instead of mining?
  • Is it possible that such block chain handles multiple different kinds of assets instead of one kind of coins?

It seems that the most challenging problem is in the exchange mechanism between assets and e-currencies such as BTC. For that such decentralized stock market has to operate on top of other block chain "if not on top of multiple block chains", where BTC or LTC message signing can confirm assets movement "buy/sell orders" between different accounts.

Excuse my ignorance but what service accept LTC ?  Is there a directory somewhere ?  I saw a satoshibets clone and that's it.

I would consider meeting this criteria if nefario were to provide me with a HD photo of his passport, drivers licence, 2 utility bills and a picture of him holding a note saying "you must be fucking joking" and a hot chick doing "bunny ears" on him.

Seriously what a farce
<--- is my picture
the email he holds for me is my ozco.in email
my real name is on the 1st post of  my pools thread

I would have about 2BTC in Glbse in BTC when did you need to do AML stuff for $24?
The total amount of coins I "invested" into bonds is ~$1800 this does not exceed any AML regulation in any country I am aware of.

More importantly the details of bondholders should be forwarded to bond issuers so contact can be made.

Did I mention farce?
sigh

Its not fair what GLBSE is doing! I don't think anyone would trust GLBSE with their info, especially after such sudden closing!
109  Economy / Securities / Re: Verifing account of GLBSE discussion on: October 10, 2012, 11:50:53 AM
The identities that GLBSE is asking can easily be faked! Anyone can send fake IDs/photos. I don't see the point why they are asking for such info. Assets should be connected to accounts and in return to emails. As an issuer all you would need is a list of accounts including emails and number of shares owned by the account/email. But it seems that there would be problems in handling things in such simple manner.
110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much do you think a BTC can be worth in the future? on: October 10, 2012, 10:36:45 AM
I expect BTC to double its value at least once per year for the coming 2 years. Based on that theory I expect the following:

December 2012: 1 BTC = at least 15 USD
December 2013: 1 BTC = at least 30 USD
December 2014: 1 BTC = at least 50 USD
December 2015: 1 BTC = at least 80 USD
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [SALE] Discounted Icarus FPGA on: October 08, 2012, 02:57:06 PM
You know you can buy cheaper dev boards and put the bitstream on them right?

Consider there has two XC6SLX-150 chips on the board, the price is not high.

Then the proper place to sell to is on ebay where techy enthusiasts might see them. To most people here they represent poor value.  if i owned them i would understand tye orib selling here. Try ebay with one or two asap! U might be surprised.

Thank you, I will consider that.
112  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [SALE] Discounted Icarus FPGA on: October 07, 2012, 12:28:14 PM
You are absolutely right if you are calculating the price based on ROI in 60 days! But I am listing these boards for sale for anyone interested in more than just mining. Don't forget that these boards can also be used as dev kits. And the price of the two FPGAs on each board are why much higher than the ROI of 60 days.

BFL is not gonna ship before December. So you should calculate the ROI based on at least 80 days.

I've lowered the offer to 26 BTC per board including shipment. Please know that I wouldn't go lower than 26 BTC per board. If I couldn't sell these boards @ 26 BTC each, I would then prefer to keep them, to use them on other projects "not related to mining" or upgrade them to Avalon ASIC whenever the upgrade is available.
113  Economy / Securities / Re: [GLBSE] BitNodes - The BitForce FPGA to ASIC Mining Bond - [FREE ASIC UPGRADE] on: October 07, 2012, 10:01:02 AM
Dear BitNodes bond holders,

GLBSE is closed. Your BitNodes investment is 100% secure. I didn't have a single BTC in GLBSE at the time they've closed. The only point that will change by now is that I will start paying the weekly dividends directly to you. In order to be able to do that, I have to verify ownership of the bonds. I am currently waiting for the list of bond holders from GLBSE. I am expecting to receive such list from GLBSE on Monday, it would be something like: "Username+Email+number of bonds owned by the account".

What you need to do now is to send me an email @ bitnodes@gmail.com with the subject: BITNODES

You have to send me the email from your GLBSE registered email "this is a critical point so I would be able to verify your account"

Please include the following info in the email body:

> Your GLBSE username.
> Number of BitNodes bonds you hold.
> BTC Payment address.

Once I receive such email from you and having it verified with the info I will receive from GLBSE, your BTC payment address will be set and you will start receiving the weekly dividends directly to your BTC address.

Thank You,
Energizer
114  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [SALE] Discounted Icarus FPGA on: October 07, 2012, 09:10:08 AM
Yah - ok.

I'll give you 5 btc each + whatever it costs you to overnight them to me.

The boards currently produce 5 BTC every 6 to 7 days. Why would I sell it that cheap? are you drunk?
115  Bitcoin / Hardware / [SOLD] Discounted Icarus FPGA [UPGRADABLE to Avalon ASIC] on: October 03, 2012, 10:41:36 AM
I have 10 Icarus FPGA mining boards for sale at a discounted price of 26 BTC per board "including shipment". The boards are currently mining with the 190 MHz bitstream @ 380 MH/s. I am moving to another country by the end of October and am only interested in selling these boards before moving out. So this offer is valid until 25th of October. I would offer a price lower than 26 BTC for anyone interested in buying more than 1 board.

Note:
Zhang "the developer of Icarus" is developing ASIC mining boards each running @ >= 60 Ghash/s for US$1999 "US$1299 pre-order". Zhang announced that any icarus or lancelot user can trade-in their icarus or Lancelot mining board for 300USD (icarus) or 400USD (lancelot) "every new 60G mining machine can only trade-in one old mining board. The trade-in is not accepted in pre-orders". Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=110090.0   http://avalon-asic.com/

Update:
10 boards been sold out.

119  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 29, 2012, 06:17:15 PM
He needs direct control over sub-accounts, to payback the sub-accounts he bought at low price "first" and WITHOUT INFORMING ANYONE. This will result in more accounts falling at lower prices as account holders wouldn't stand the expanded payback delay with zero information being announced, while Pirate keeps collecting such accounts and payback himself. I guess he is already doing this now. His intention is not to let anyone know about the slow payback process. Thats why he doesn't want PPT OPs in the middle, to keep hiding his activities.
120  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Closing down on: August 29, 2012, 05:42:02 PM
NO emails NO info at all, its all about withdrawal addresses! I don't think Pirate needs any info, he just wants to do the payment directly not through PPT OPs. Now the question is why he would want to do that? It is obvious that he wants to track accounts especially the PPT accounts he is currently buying @ low price! and pay it back without informing anyone! Wink

What is special about PPT? probably it is the accounts most exposed to buyers "today" and is being sold at low price! extremely low [currently<20%]. He would have a plan by now to payback on multiple stages and it is smart of him to search for the sub-accounts he bought, to pay it back first. This way he will be paying himself, shutting down sub-accounts and without even informing anyone about such payback stage! while the majority of the account holders will be still waiting in line, and welling to sell their accounts at low price, even lower.
