101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 25, 2024, 09:33:11 PM
Is there anything like guarantee bets, I don't think so because we should already know how gambling works and what we can expect as an outcome of it when we have a good chance of winning with luck, aside from that, no one can predict a game 100% right at all time and this is what makes it impossible.

For me then, there is no such thing as sure bets or even anything close to that at some point because we have a well good knowledge and experience of how the systems work, so we don't fall for such claims and promises.
Yes, there is such a thing as a guaranteed bet on an event. Most often, this is a promotion for new players who want to try the platform and understand how betting works. There are sports analysts who conduct research on athletes/teams,their condition, etc. this can help with betting but will not give a 100% guarantee in the event it is more like a small hint, sports are very unpredictable and experts cannot be accurate in their predictions.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run begun ? on: January 25, 2024, 07:14:57 PM
Even if the market goes down it won't end up going up again there are many trends that most people initially dismiss. However, if you realize their true potential and are proven right bitcoin investment can earn you a fortune. We can expect the next bull run as the number of new users of cryptocurrencies hit record highs every time during the bull run. In 2024, the value of Bitcoin will fall, halving.
It is very unlikely that the price will fall after the halving, miners make up a huge part of the industry and cutting production by half may no longer be profitable for many, but I highly doubt it, since no one will simply leave such a profitable niche. If this were so, then in the market Now there would be a lot of used equipment and the media would have written about it 10 times already, but this is not the case yet.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 25, 2024, 01:59:24 PM
I will tell you that 90% of crypto users who actually fell into scams of new projects were actually lured in by their own greed. Not only cryptocurrency but once you see an offer that seems too juicy and looks too promising then simply back out from it, because no one the internet loves you that much that they will want you to get rich. The cryptocurrency world actually paves way to earn some money either through investing into bitcoin or gamble into other Altcoins or simply trade which is risky too but all this are still made possible only when you have the knowledge. It’s only gullible people or greedy people that scammers get to sell their fake project to.
Beginners often come to new scam projects that promise huge profits, bright wrappers and loud promises bribe many people. And only after losing their first capital do newcomers look for more stable assets and projects and thus get acquainted with Bitcoin and other coins. Remember 2017, that was a parade of scam projects and it was the newcomers who pumped up the market with money, not the old market players.
and only now we can see how the market is becoming more and more well-trained users who make fewer stupid mistakes.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: What are your expectations for the few weeks after the halving period? on: January 23, 2024, 09:07:37 PM
There is so much expectation about the bitcoin Halving, and it has even attracted many investors to bitcoins who want to be able to profit from bitcoins after the halving. What is expected to happen during the halving? It is expected for bitcoin to set a new All time high price. After the Halving, what do you think may happen? Do you think that the number of sellers will increase after the halving, sellers of bitcoins from people who want to cash out on the profit they have made? Or do you think there will be a reduction in interest of buying bitcoins because of it already very high value that new investors will know they cannot profit from anytime soon?
a lot depends on what the “experts” will write in the media, I think before the halving they will stir up interest in Bitcoin and new investors will come, also after the halving itself it will be more difficult to mine, which means it will be more scarce, which logically should make it more a valuable asset in the long term. I would like it that way, but it will be very difficult to say in practice, even now we have almost -10% per week of the price without obvious problems, the market is very unstable and this is a little annoying.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Increased Gambling Risk for the Younger Generation on: January 23, 2024, 07:17:28 PM
More young people than older people bet online, which can lead to a lot of problems besides just losing money. Easy-to-reach game sites may attract teens. Problems could arise, such as not being busy enough and losing interest in schoolwork. To a large extent, this issue can be solved by showing kids what goes wrong when they gamble too much. Families can help teens understand the bad effects of bad behavior by talking to them openly about what to do and what not to do, as well as how it will hurt their personal growth and life.

to avoid this problem, the country must prevent this. At the state level there must be propaganda about the consequences of uncontrolled gaming, Internet providers must also block illegal resources. And of course, it is very important that this issue is also raised in the family and children need to know about this from childhood saying it is important. This will definitely help avoid consequences with gambling addiction or lost budget.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Good sportsbetting content on: January 23, 2024, 03:00:42 PM
If you guys like sportsbetting. What type of content to do you like to see, what where do you like to consume it?

For example, do you like instagram shorts of daily picks, or blog posts on the match ups, or funny videos etc

Am working on creating a lot of sports style content in 2024 and wanna know what you all prefer.
hello, I like compilations of the best moments with a player in a match or season, comments from coaches and media reviews, as for me this is the best thing that can be because it doesn’t take a lot of time to view the information. (This is if we’re talking about football, for example) It’s exactly the same with boxing However, comments from the coaching group are always more valuable information. In any case, publish your work here and we will choose what is better and more interesting for users.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons for personal financial accountability? on: January 22, 2024, 06:33:19 PM
On the other hand, we realize that the onslaught of social media has more or less had an impact in encouraging us to have more excessive desires, this is where the importance of personal financial accountability lies. Where we can organize and determine the priority scale according to initial planning, so that we can control consumptive desires. Control of personal financial accountability can save us from financial problems, can make us aware of managing finances well, such as investing and so on.
Social networks have played a very important role in this, now there are many bloggers who advertise their rich life and their fans are trying to imitate this. Today it is not cool to be smart or athletic, today it is cool to be rich. Society suffers from this when more money is spent on an image than a person makes money. I know several cases when a person buys a phone in installments but cannot go to the dentist because he does not have the money for it. Financial literacy is the basis, but it seems to me that fakes from social networks are winning over common sense today.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 22, 2024, 05:14:09 PM
Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.
First, determine your gaming budget and how much you will play per week/month. The second important point is discipline, if you have problems with it, it’s better not to even start. And the third treats this as a good and fun time and not as a scheme for earning money and getting rich, and it’s important not to set high expectations from the game, then it won’t be so offensive If you lose, good luck to you and play with integrity.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 21, 2024, 09:44:39 PM
Everyone is living his personal life, even though we tend to relate or have friends or even consult people about a thing or two, it doesn't change the fact that we all are living our independent lives. You should care less about what people say when you are gambling as long as you have your thinking cap intact and not having to be living wrecked as a result.
You are absolutely right, no matter who says what. My games do not affect others in any way, so I don’t worry about what they will think or say. Since this is just a pastime, I don’t see anything wrong with it, my friends and I bet on sporting events which makes watching matches much more interesting. Another thing is antisocial players who stand at slot machines and beg for change for games, or those players who are addicted can bring discomfort to others, which in turn causes dissatisfaction and condemnation of gambling in general.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: January 21, 2024, 08:20:06 PM
Simply put, it is impossible to become an expert on Bitcoin. Because we talk speculatively about Bitcoin. It's not just us common people who invest small amounts in Bitcoin. There are many institutional investments and there are many large whales. They can change the price of Bitcoin anytime they want. Therefore, it is not possible to predict the future value of Bitcoin, only speculation.
How is this not possible? Open any specialized publication or media and it will be full of such experts. Also, don’t forget about the bloggers on YouTube, of whom there are already hundreds and someone considers them experts (including themselves). The second question is about their competence and how professional and correct they are in their forecasts, but how do we know how many people have so many opinions.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 06:55:18 PM
We've all been there, tempted by those tempting cash-out options. It's like a double-edged sword, offering a quick escape from potential losses but sometimes robbing us of greater winnings in the end. It's a fine balance to strike, and your story serves as a reminder to tread carefully. I understand that making a quick decision based on anxiety can lead to regret, but rushing into decisions based on temporary emotions rarely leads to success. Each decision, whether it leads to a win or a loss, is a chance to learn and grow.
This is the absolute truth. For me, the important thing is that I learned a lesson and learned to control myself. Gambling is a very dangerous thing, as it is a kind of adrenaline that you want more and more, but it is important to understand that control should be higher. I also lost large amounts in the beginning my path because I poorly managed my income and expenses, which led to consequences, today discipline in the game is an important principle without which my game is not possible and I only play for the amount that I don’t mind losing.
112  Economy / Speculation / Re: 112 days waiting for bitcoin halving!! on: January 21, 2024, 03:40:09 PM
Bitcoin halving is only 88 days away, after 88 days Bitcoin halving will start. During this halving period Bitcoin price will be in a downward trend as investors will be given ample opportunity to purchase Bitcoin. No one misses this opportunity because no investor can exist without investing till now. So there is enough time to invest in bitcoins you invest in bitcoins fast and get benefits.
Anything can happen during this period, but the general mood of users is now positive and many are now in the mode of accumulating their balances. Now selling your Bitcoins is clearly not the best idea, but reconsidering your portfolio with altcoins is a very good idea in order to free up more funds for buying Bitcoin. This spring we will find out whether our tactics were correct and how many other people did the same. There really isn't that long to wait.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a different kind of wonder on: January 20, 2024, 07:56:58 PM
That is why you see BTC continue spreading all over the world to attract people to seek for more knowledge of BTC because, the wonders people are receiving from the decentralized currency make them to believe that they have wasted a lot of years for centralized currency in their land but this year 2024 BTC will still display some wonders that will make the price to move above $50k before the end of January.

I don't think the bull run will reach 2026 but it will reach 2025 for investors to enjoy long bull run to recover from their losses they encounter last few years in the bear run.
there will be a halving quite soon and I think it will be this that will give the first impulse and trend for this year. It will now be more difficult for miners to mine it and it will be more scarce, most likely transactions on the network will also become more expensive, which in turn should cause the price of Bitcoin itself to rise, which many and they are waiting. I think this year will be decisive in many ways.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 20, 2024, 03:53:31 PM
We can see the price crashing since its release.

I would think that it will take a while for the ETF's to have any impact because they were just released.

That has an impact; we won't feel it right away because the approved institutional companies that gave their applications still have compliances that must be submitted to the SEC, as far as I know, if I'm not mistaken.

So instead of thinking about the impact of that ETF, we should continue what we started to accumulate: Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies that can give us big profits or savings in the future. Let's just wait for a few periods to see the impact of the result of this ETF after the approval of the SEC.
Because this was more a step towards legalization and recognition in the large financial sector, which is already good. Yes, the fact that the price did not immediately increase disappointed many, but it was predictable, this is just the first step, then more and more funds will join if the result satisfies them .And our task now is to continue to accumulate our reserves in this you are absolutely 100% right
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 20, 2024, 12:41:52 PM
If I had a relative who is addicted to gambling, I wouldn’t give him any money no matter how little or small it is. I will only help you to establish yourself and not support an act that ruins you. I wouldn’t also let his gambling affect me because I am a different person from him, it’s his lifestyle and the best I can do is feel pity for his life but it’s his life and not mine. If you want to gamble, do it decently. It doesn’t hurt to be (and act) responsible, or does it?
that’s right, you need to be passionate about games. I had a friend who became very interested in gambling, which resulted in negative consequences such as problems with money and damaged relationships with all his loved ones. Therefore, he became an example for me of what can happen if you gamble and not being aware of the consequences.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 19, 2024, 12:49:52 PM
I guess even the most successful investor in bitcoin these days is still open to the idea that bitcoin will eventually become useless in the future which might drop its value into zero. Truth be told that there’s no innovation that exists forever, people will always find something new relevant and become the apple of their eye, and eventually leave bitcoin into its non-usage.

It might not be possible this year or in the next year, but certainly, when there’s a better version of bitcoin that will come, the old version will definitely be forgotten. Even Satoshi was already aware of that.
As long as mining is alive and the exchanges are working, nothing threatens Bitcoin. Even if it falls to zero, it is unlikely that we will be alive by that moment. Each halving, the demand for Bitcoin only grows and there are correspondingly more holders, we can safely say that in the next five years we will not see the decline of Bitcoin, it will be a very valuable and scarce asset, there is no doubt about it.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: January 18, 2024, 05:54:17 PM
It's just the question on whether we really should do it in front of our kids, responsible parents will not or should not because they know the consequences of it. And it's like encouraging them to follow you when they grow up and you are setting a bad example.

Exposing gambling for them is really bad, no matter how you look at it, saying that you are responsible and that you just play for entertainment or have some fun. We understand that, but doing it in front of your kids, you can really influence them to go to the same path and it might not be good for them.

Keep particularly impressionable adults, pregnant women, and small children away from further reading.

I have gambled in front of my kid, will you call me as irresponsible parent then? Maybe you should call child care service then? I've played poker in front of my kid and guess what? The kid told my cards to other. Everyone laughed, including the kid Cheesy I think you and other would be surprised right now. Ready? The kid did not get addicted to gambling after that Shocked Ready for surprise Nr.2 ? 3-2-1. The kid showed almost zero interest to what we were doing or gambling after this Shocked The kid got own pocket money, has mobile and tablet and access to the internet. Surprise-surprise Nr.3. Zero cents were spend on gambling site Shocked

With the amount of toys, lego, friends, internet, something for crafting and creativity, homework and sport, the kid has no free time to spend on gambling.
this is a very good approach when the child has almost all his free time occupied with useful things, you are a good father! I agree with you that there is nothing wrong if you play in front of a child, it is very important how exactly this happens. If there is a friendly atmosphere and everyone is having fun, I don’t see a problem with this, it’s another matter if the family is all in debt and the father has already lost everything from home .
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: January 17, 2024, 09:40:36 PM
The more good news there is about Bitcoin, the better it will be for market conditions, but predictions could be wrong, but if you look at the current condition of the US dollar and the resulting inflation, this could happen, sooner or later.
Such news is aimed at people who are not associated with cryptocurrency at all, and the media will only replicate this news, which will add recognition to the person who said it and nothing more. Dollar inflation and Bitcoin are not connected in any way at the moment, do not forget that there are other currencies which are traded against Bitcoin.
such forecasts do not have any value or meaning, it is rather just a voiced desire. Such experts often “predict” growth, but none of them talks about a fall in prices.

120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making too many picks reduces chances of winning. on: January 15, 2024, 06:27:42 PM
As gamblers, we love more action, so we tend to make more bets on a regular basis. However, experts say that when we make too many picks regularly, our chances of winning decrease. This is due to the fact that we won't be able to analyze all the games carefully that are in our ticket and won't have the advantage needed to win. So instead, it's recommended that we should value quality over quantity if we want to succeed in sports betting.

Share your opinion regarding this matter.

Edit : I see that some replies are talking about parlay. FYI, this is not about parlay, it's about making many single picks on a regular basis. Please avoid using parlay when sharing your opinion.
I agree with the opinion that the chance of winning an event decreases. Using the example of boxing, there are a lot of values that you can place a bet on: what round/points/knockout, etc. You need to be clairvoyant to guess all the outcomes of an event with accuracy. It’s easier to bet on victory or loss, so the chance is exactly 50/50. (Although there may be a draw on points)
Of course, there are experts who bet on several events, but you need to have a very strong understanding of the athlete and be an analyst of the highest category.
