21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum Ecosystem is better than Solana Ecosystem on: March 22, 2024, 05:34:25 PM
ETH is still indeed a good project, but the problem with its network remains the big concern to many.
Time will come that SOL will take over ETH especially if they can’t solve the problem about the slower network and  dealing with a higher fees.

Though the hype is still with ETH, but SOL is catching up and seriously with this two top altcoins competing for the top spot, I believe everyone of us here will benefit and let’s just see who will ended up on time in this bull market.
Ethereum now looks more solid, after all, the network has been running a lot of different projects on it for many years. Solana is a younger system and now it is mainly meme tokens that are being hyped (which in my opinion) is a temporary phenomenon. It’s more interesting what will happen to Solana after the Bitcoin halving and the decline of the meme boom, then it will be possible to see the potential, if there is any of course.

It may be a younger system for now in Solana, but it cannot be denied that the potential for us to get profit under the Sol network is higher compared to Erc20. And that's also why I see that more communities are hyped about the trend we see now in the market.

With Ethereum, yes, it was first, and there was something proven in the market, so in this case, ETH would be okay, but it's just having a problem with the fee, while with SOL it's not.
There is no doubt that Solana does much better with commissions, which attracts more users.Which, in turn, gave a new wave to the trend of meme tokens, since they can be quickly and cheaply exchanged for the more expensive Solana and vice versa. On Ethereum, every step would cost significant money, which is the main advantage of Solana at the moment.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Xrp still worth to break its previous 3.4$ ATH? on: March 20, 2024, 08:51:08 PM

I guess any market movement for XRP is yes, most likely when bitcoin starts its bull run and then the altcoin season. That is the necessary condition for XRP to recreate its historic ath moment at $3.4. Movement and trends for altcoins move very quickly with high competition, if XRP really cannot create enough momentum then they will be pulled back. Anyway, any market situation is possible. Dyor
It was a supper good for those that invested in that project last two years ago when the price was low at a point, some people thought the project will no longer bring some thing good to their customers but it was a good moved seen the project causes their customers to smile with good profits in this season.

Since the improvement is there for the team behind the XRP are working day and night to ensure they create more momentum that will make others people to know that the team are capable to make the altcoin to move to another next level.
It looks more like XRP will no longer be able to bring anything new to investors. If we open the chart for the year, we can be convinced of this. All dynamics occur in the range of 60-80 cents, and this is provided that Bitcoin has already made x3 of the price. At the same time, XRP did not react to this in any way, so it is a dubious investment in such a market.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana memecoin is trending on twitter.. on: March 19, 2024, 06:14:49 PM
Recently, there's been excitement in the Solana ecosystem, mainly due to the impressive rise of memecoins. We've seen the likes of BOME, SNAP, and today, SLERF is performing well. There have been promising announcements regarding cex adoption, with platforms like Bitget, MEXC, and OKX all joining in. SLERF has already achieved a market capitalization of 400 million in just a few hours. The hype is crazy. Are you holding any?
in fact, there is nothing surprising. Not so long ago, namely a few years ago, meme tokens created on Ethereum were popular, later on Bnb, now it’s just Solana’s time. Fast and cheap blockchain, ease of use is what you need to attract new players to the market. Via in a year or two a new blockchain will appear and history will repeat itself. This is already a system. So far I am more attracted to Solana itself than to the tokens on it.

I didn’t like Sui for one reason: at the very beginning there were a lot of scam projects, it seems that the scammers were just waiting for a new blockchain on which they could deceive people en masse
Mate, Sui isn't only platform where scammers use it to fruad, scam people. Scammers are in every platform, you just need to be careful instead of disliking. Thus you can unlock facilities from each altcoin when need. The interesting fact is, Sui & arbitrum, both of those coins raise up incredibly than others altcoins. I already added those two in my portfolio cause i believe still those have space to raise up more in upcoming days
Of course, scammers use various platforms. But it was Sui’s first steps that were accompanied by a huge number of scam projects, which played on the reputation of Sui himself. There are a lot of scam NFTs, problems with wallets and their security. All this was at the very beginning, now even after so much time I can’t name more than one successful project built on Sui most of them look very weak and unattractive.
If you have any interesting project built on Sui, please share it, I’ll be happy to read about it, thank you.
26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You don't become a big investor by public opinion. on: March 14, 2024, 04:39:50 PM
Even who bought Bitcoin when it was less than 10 cents may not even dreamt of seeing Bitcoin valued of 70K and optimistic is too far away for this kind of price difference, they saw something different and decided to throw some money that they have spent on useless gadget or whatever.
Indeed, many people left the distance or simply lost access to their Bitcoins. Since a lot of time has passed since prices were very low, but the community was not as large as it is now; there were not so many exchanges and services and even media. I know personally there are several people who have Bitcoins and bought them for less than 1k and continue to hold them because their goal is 100k and then they will calmly sell them.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoins to invest right now on: March 13, 2024, 10:25:15 PM
I am currently sitting on 5k (50% BTC and 50% ETH) and now want to invest another 5k in Altcoins.

I am thinking about splitting it in 5x 1000, what would be your choice? Which 5 altcoins would you choose?

And would you include Moonbeam (GLMR) in your choice?
I like it now: Sol, BNB I would now pay attention to it.Before the halving, I would not make a very large portfolio of altcoins as it will be more difficult to control when the big growth begins. According to my observations, in this bull season, investors choose more proven assets and fewer people buy meme tokens and various new tokens.Moonbean looks kind of weak this season,I would probably miss him.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: Doing my bitcoin investment anonymously while left a friend behind. on: March 13, 2024, 04:09:30 PM
I had many similar situations. I noticed for myself that there is a category of people who often only dream and do not do it. I have a friend who considers it his duty to tell me about the increase in the price of Bitcoin although he does not own it and every time I I hear him saying that he should have bought it a year, two or five ago. And does he buy after that? Of course not Grin And I’m sure that he will never buy but will continue to dream and count imaginary profits.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: March 12, 2024, 09:57:46 PM
I have been thinking about when to start selling my 2 bitcoins I purchased for $21,000 each average price during 2022 lows.

I keep hearing things like we could spike to 200K really quickly and stuff like that, maybe in just weeks.

My question is when will you guys start to sell if we have a major spike?

I used to think I wanted to sell at 100K, but this is rising so fast I have been thinking more like 150K to start selling.

How will you sell, slowly into a spike or wait for a set price and just dump.

hmm, good question. A price of 100k is quite possible and even more, but the scenario may be completely unpredictable. There is another option to take back the funds that you initially invested, and wait for the maximum profit from the difference. This option will save your initial investment and return the starting capital , but you can go all-in and wait for the price you have in mind.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still buying altcoins?? on: March 12, 2024, 06:40:23 PM
It seems bulls are busy with Bitcoin only. That's why Bitcoin keep breaking new All time high but most of top altcoins (except a few) Still straggling to cross even Half of their Ath price. So maybe altcoins season might come after btc halving. That's why many people still don't hesitate to collect altcoins. What is your opinion about this matter. Are you still buying anything or will think about it later after halving
I left literally several assets in my portfolio, these are bnb and sol. I sold everything else because I don’t want to have a large portfolio for halving since it will be easier to control it while it is concentrated in total at 5 maximum coins and tokens. I remember the bull market in 2017 and what was going on and it was very difficult to keep track of everything, this time I'll be more prepared.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: Road to 100k? on: March 11, 2024, 03:37:05 PM
We have seen Bitcoin reach 70k USD and it even reached a point of 71k briefly. We are seeing history being made right here with the new all time high being set once again and it is happening even before halving.

I have high expectations that bitcoin will reach 100k but will it reach 100k without any major decline in price? Does it seem realistic that from 70k, bitcoin will continuously rise up?
it is very difficult to predict what will happen next. Of course, there will still be price corrections; this is the rule of any growth. There is still time before the halving and we are already seeing increased interest in the media, which could potentially add new investors; everything is very reminiscent of the 2017 scenario, only now investors are choosing proven projects which have proven themselves and have stood the test of time.
It looks very likely that we will be approaching 100 thousand if nothing very negative happens on the market, for example, a hacking of a large exchange or something like that.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: March 10, 2024, 07:52:04 PM
I don't have any memecoin on hand right now and personally i don't want to pay much attention to holding memecoin. Moreover memecoin biography will see only dump and pump fair so most new investors are busy looking for gold in this fair. If i have spare money i would like to buy some of the best tokens from the altcoins market with them. So put away your thoughts that you will suddenly become rich from memecoin. But there are some older memecoins that are better and risk free than newer projects.
because modern meme tokens are more like a lottery and many users buy them with the hope of quick X's for their deposit. There is a trend for meme tokens depending on what is happening now, remember the same series Squid Game and how many dozens of tokens were made using it , many of them are dead today but will be relevant by the release of the second season of the series.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing into Bitcoin as self pension on: March 09, 2024, 06:37:14 PM

Is it wise and realistic for someone in his early twenties to set up Bitcoin as  a retirement plan such that he continues accumulating Bitcoin from this time till he gets to his retirement age?
why not? This is a completely working financial instrument and I think many people from this forum have definitely thought about it at least once.Of course,I would not invest 100% in Bitcoin anyway, most of it should be in national currency (depending on the situation in the country and its economic prospects) but as part of an investment portfolio for future old age, definitely yes and yes again.
Is that an advice for somebody of really young age?
As it is a brilliant investment plan, is it advisable to tell a really young person to have that as an investment plan?? Given that in the next fifty years, totally ANYTHING could happen?
If after years and years of growing your investment and something happens, unforseen circumstances, you dont have access to your coins for any reason whatsoever, that will be catastrophic.
The sooner you master complex things, the better. For example, I have been using the “10% rule” for many years. The essence is very simple: if you manage to make a profit, 10% of it goes into a separate account and serves as savings. Then the capital received can be invested further, but at the same time it cannot be sold; the main rule is that it must be in circulation.

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is why people make money from Airdrops on: March 06, 2024, 09:46:17 PM
The continuation of the discussion from my last post, you can read through if you wish to learn and have the time https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5487071.msg63737108#msg63737108.

There was a heavy argument among us during this thread, and to be honest, we learned from each other. The essence of the discussion was about whether Airdrops are beneficial or not; some argued it is, while some said it's not. Well, from my findings, I'd say it's a 50-50 game.
What can be said for sure: airdrops today are already entire quests. Where you need to show quite a bit of activity and this will not guarantee that something will come out of it or the project will end up being a dummy. I would say that the probability is closer to 80/20 that in the end it will be spent time is not worth the airdrop.I just don’t take part in them anymore, it’s easier to buy a lottery ticket Wink
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why we need to buy meme coin? on: March 05, 2024, 10:11:44 PM
Meme coin has changed some people life stories that invested at early stage and been patent enough to hold for a long time and today because of the price difference has become millionaires, which is Doge Coin, Shiba Inu, Pepe Coin and so many other meme Coins has been a profitable business. Hence you can't take the risk of investing in meme Coin, then leave it and focus on Bitcoin with a stress free investment.
The most ironic thing is that the very rich people in the first place are the creators of these meme tokens and those who first bought them. But the rest are trying to hit the jackpot and repeat their success by paying for the whole banquet.Buying such meme tokens is a modern lottery since the chances are exactly the same, but about one in a million.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dont sell because you feel like selling, give it another thought. on: March 05, 2024, 09:22:40 PM
Every investor has their own goals and they will give more importance to their goals due to which they take decisions considering the market conditions. Now if someone thinks that according to the market condition that this is the right time to sell then he will start selling even if we are not selling then he will still sell. It is free market and here everyone makes decisions from their point of view and takes profit. And those who have a long term vision don't really follow the market changes.

In fact they also have their own plan and set targets for when they will be interested in selling. So here everyone has set their own target, as a result of which everyone is among themselves, some are selling and others are buying.
It is true that every investor has a reason when they want to sell the assets they own, especially because they think the profits they have earned are sufficient and we don't have to follow other people in making decisions to sell or hold until the profits we can get are even greater and there are some people who really need it and don't have the savings to be able to fulfill what they need so they have to choose to sell even though the price will be detrimental to them, of course for those who have set a target they will wait until the assets they hold reach the appropriate price. which they have set just sell for the profit from holding.
This is the whole point.Only those who are focused on long-term investing will receive the greatest profit (there are, of course, those who trade and successfully) But the easiest way is to buy and forget for several years, as practice shows, this is the most successful case so far moment. The current turbulence in the market is precisely what will drive out those who do not know how to control their finances. At least until the halving, we need to continue accumulating savings.

39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does BTC mean to you? on: March 04, 2024, 11:01:29 PM
If you want to hear my opinion about Bitcoin, I would say that Bitcoin is the main vehicle that changed my life. I have changed my life today because of Bitcoin. If it wasn't for Bitcoin I might never have built the position I have today and I would have had a lot of hard times. When I didn't work in bitcoin I had a very hard life I had a hard time with my family When I was introduced to bitcoin I started making money from bitcoin I started to lead a very good life. That's why I want to expose Bitcoin as the first life-changing vehicle in my life.
Bitcoin has really helped people who collect the amount of money they can afford and those who are able to collect will of course be able to get profits according to what they collect, for now anyone who holds Bitcoin will certainly make it very easy for them to meet their needs. and if they are able to collect large amounts of course their future will be very secure because they have prepared their future from now on.
Yes of course those who are able to hold bitcoins will definitely have a bright and secure future. Those who invested when Bitcoin came to $15000 from deep dips have made huge gains in just a year today. So that would be the main announcement to hold Bitcoin. The more one can invest, the more profit one will surely get. If my finances were much better right now I would just invest in bitcoins and hold on.
The long-term storage strategy shows its benefits over time. I have a close friend who bought part of Bitcoin at just the price of 15-16k and now he is grateful because he asked several times whether it was worth selling or not. And now he is grateful that he received knowledge and profit .Bitcoin teaches you to wait and not rush, and then there will definitely be a reward.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: March 04, 2024, 07:36:34 PM
2024 is the halving year and I have been recommending anyone to buy even before the new year when the price of bitcoin was still below $40k. It has been proven that until now the positive trend continues and the Bitcoin price is currently in the range of $62k and has reached the 2021 ATH price.
Before the New Year, many users said that the best time to buy is autumn and winter. Now those who bought in advance and can feel the altseason and growth of Bitcoin will receive an advantage. There is still time before the havling and there is no doubt that the price will be even more interesting in the future, but there will still be corrections and those who did not have time to buy a little earlier may come to them.
