101  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think that crypto or token fusions are possible in the future? on: February 10, 2018, 08:39:32 AM
I think that depends on the currency.
With bitcoin for example, I do not see that would work. It would be like creating new bitcoins intentionally, and that is a really bad idea.
Maybe it would be possible with some ICOs as kind of a marketing move. Creating a new coin that climbs up the ladder of market capitalization in order to get more attention.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ethereum will over take bitcoin? on: February 09, 2018, 09:27:15 AM
What does overtaking mean exactly? Both will rise in price and market capitalization.
But I assume they will occupy different tasks in the crypto world.
I think that Ethereum might be a bossible coin with which many payments are made in the future.
I do not think it will be bitcoin, despite the lightning network. People will see bitcoin as an investment, and that will stop them from using it as payment.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really too volatile to be a useful currency? on: February 09, 2018, 08:58:31 AM
In general I think that bitcoin is a storage of wealth, not a currency.
And for an asset being volatile is not such a big problem then it is for a currency.
Then I still see the high fees and the long tranaction times as a problem. If the lightning network will be a solution for that needs to be seen.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much will 1 bitcoin be worth in 2026/27? on: February 09, 2018, 07:50:29 AM
In 2027 we will have seen two more halvings and the reward for one block will be appoximately at three bitcoins per block.
And that is the reason why I belive that the price then will be higher than the peak we had in December.
I can't tell a number, but the shortage in supply will increase the price, of that I am convinced!
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin bull run begins now? on: February 09, 2018, 07:46:25 AM
It was three days ago when we had the lowest price of the last three months and we are already talking about a bull run and 50 K.
I appreciate the optimism, but just because we have seen a rise in britcion price now for three days, this does not even mean that the superior down trend has stoped.
Hanging the hopes too early too high will lead back to disappointment and that brings falling charts again.
I would say a few weeks of stagnation could be very healthy for bitcoin.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to eliminate unemployment. on: February 09, 2018, 07:39:11 AM
I think that crypto currencies are something for self organized people.
Everything you do here is a result of your own decisions and your own motivations. Many people are overchallanged to work this was.
But for others that is the only way they can work because they do not fit into the way a business is structured.
I think that some people who are unemployed can get an income with bitcoin.
But for a larger group working on one's own authority only makes them do nothing at all.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy now or wait for even lower price? on: February 08, 2018, 08:00:56 PM
I don't think that expectations of the lowest price should be the cause for buying. It can never be predicted if the price will fall any deeper or not.
It is important to recognise if the price follows a trend.
When you have an intact trend that leads upwards, the probabilities to make profit with it are much higher than if you are only waiting for a low.
Because one low can be undercut by another one easily.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is recovering on: February 08, 2018, 07:38:53 PM
I really hope that this up trend we see now for two days stays, because we have seen setback in the last weeks after a small phase of recovery.
I would not even mind if we could simply stay at the price that we are right now for a few weeks.
What I have noticed is that there were no new bad news in the media for the last two days. Hopefully that is a good sign!
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders being taxed in India on: February 07, 2018, 08:32:20 AM
I have found this site where it is explained how taxes on bitcoins work in India:

https://www.quora.com/Is-Bitcoin-income-taxable-in-India

Of course I do not know how reliable that source is.
And the page was updated the last time in December, so it can very well be that there were some changes in the tax system recently.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many panic sellers, HODLERS and new buyers out there? on: February 06, 2018, 08:23:44 PM
Hodling over here, for quite some time now. Of course it was not funny to see the price fall, but I never felt tempted to sell a single satoshi.
I'm on the bitcoin boat for several years now and I think it is impossible to be here for such a long time an have not made any profits.
So I would count as one of the hodlers who make profit.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the market turn and start growing again? on: February 06, 2018, 07:57:19 PM
We have seen months of stagnation after a big drop in the past, but ther was that huge growth at the end of 2017 as well.
I think we have to keep in mind that many people who went in too late but decided to sell at a certain point lost money.
It is hard to imagine that they find the trust in bitcoin soon again. And those who were not part of the first wave, I don't see whout could them bring to join now.
But in order to grow, bitcoin needs fresh money. I wonder where that should come from.
From my point of view, it will take a while until we see a good growth again.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for old people? on: February 06, 2018, 07:37:30 PM
I don't think that bitcoin, or crypto currencies in general are something for older people to invest in.
I suppose there are exceptions, but all older people I know have troubles working with a computer.
And understanding what a crypto currency does and how it works, to me that looks like an even way more difficult task for them.
I can't recommend an investment to somebody when I know that person does not know what he is investing in and where the risks are.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to Crash further till 1000$? on: February 06, 2018, 08:32:48 AM
I think that miners might have a problem with 1000 dollars for one bitcoin. That is why I do not think we will reach that level.
With an AntMiner S9 you could only mine about 0.0013 BTC a day. That would be 1.3 Dollars.
Then you need to pay for electricity and you have to pay for the mining equipment.
That does not sound like a profitable job anymore.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Not only the BItcoin, the cash is all over the markets in the world. on: February 06, 2018, 07:31:13 AM
Many people are not really know about this and many of them did not understand or even have time to study international markets and what is actually happened in the market. The world major currencies are down, the stocks markets is down and the commodities market is also down.
But on the social media only bitcoin is the one be comments online because some people want to bring bitcoin down.
I think that the bitcoin market will lose some attention in the coming days. The press will look more on the flash crash we have seen at the Dow Jones yesterday.
More people have stocks than bitcoin, so the news about a crack in the stock market will be interesting for more people as well.
And that is the currency of the media, the number of people you can reach with your reports.
Maybe exactly through that loss of attention the crypto market can cool down again.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin lower than $6000? Is it possible? on: February 06, 2018, 07:23:33 AM
Is it possible that Bitcoin falls lower than $6000!
Which is the level of 31 Oct 2017!
There is very big in digital asset investment. Yes, bitcoin price fall to below $6000 is possible but bitcoin price can rise to more than $50000 is also possible. Even experts can't predict the price of bitcoin precisely. Bitcoin adoption is still growing so bitcoin still has good future. I am sure about this.

Only proves that no one really knows what will be the price of bitcoin. But yeah, after a big dump, expect to have a big pump as well. So take every opportunity to have bitcoin. Anyways, it's not only bitcoin that's experiencing this. Hold on.
One big problem is that are no hard numbers as orientation points in the bitcoin world. Nobody can say how many users we have or how bitcoin is distributed amongst the population.
That is why everything that has to do with price building is a big guess. And that is as well the reason that ups and downs can become a much wilder ride than with stocks for example.
I think as well that 6K might not be the end of the road. At the moment I don't see anything that would stop the down trend.
116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Please stop selling! on: February 05, 2018, 05:39:04 PM
I suppose what we see right now is a large number of inexperienced investors who panik and sell in order to cut their losses.
The guys who sell now did not com in touch with bitcoin because of values or the wish for freedom.
It was a pure investment decision. And now they make the decision to liquidate their investment because they fear to lose even more money.
Begging them to stop selling will not change their mind.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy! on: February 05, 2018, 05:33:36 PM
It is a hard decision to tell if right now is a good time to buy anything related to crypto currencies.
Compared to December, coins are chaep now. But in July last year, we had not even touched the 3K level.
It is a really taff decision whether to step in the market right now or not. I think everybody must find the answer to it by himself.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin get to drop to $5,000 and below in 2018 on: February 05, 2018, 08:32:38 AM
We have seen a drop from 20K to 8K, so I think it is very possible that the price can go down even further.
There still is the problem that nobody can tell what a fair value for bitcoin would be, because there are not many hard numbers.
That is why the crypto market is driven even more by emotions than the stock market.
And the emotion that dominates at the moment is fear. Fear makes people sell.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its too late to invest in Bitcoin! on: February 04, 2018, 06:01:43 PM
It is not too late to invest in bitcoin.
The question is more if right now is a good timing for that.
When you are a good trader then there are many opportunities at the momeny to earn a lot of money.
I think that those people who plan to hold their coins just for a few months will have the biggest problems if they buy now.
The long term holders will be able to sit this dip out.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin reach 40k at the end of 2018? on: February 04, 2018, 05:54:26 PM
I do not see the 40K. Not in 2018, and not in 2019.
I think that the people won't forget the drop from 20K for a long time.
So every time the price will increase a little, there will be many who will sell in order to save their profit.
The strong believe that bitcoin can fly is not there at the moment. And it will take time until people start believing again.
