821  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin v Tax on: December 09, 2016, 05:42:04 PM
If we buy legal stuff in the market, we already pay taxes when we use bitcoins.
The question is if posessing it will be taxed or if selling it will be taxed.
I am relatively sure that posessing bitcoins won't be taxed because it's just too hard to prove who ownes what.
But I think not too long in the future selling bitcoins will be taxed nearly everywhere on the planet.
822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: December 09, 2016, 04:29:18 PM
I think that it can help, but not in a big matter.
I see the option that relatives in who have managed to live in richer countries can send money to people in poorer countries, even if those do not have a bank account.
Of course, the poorer people would have to know how to handle bitcoins, have a computer and internet, and I think that will often not be the case.
So the realistic chances that bitcoin can make a change there are small.
823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin's price rise above $1000 because Trump was elected president? on: December 09, 2016, 02:59:03 PM
Bitcoin is not completely belong to US, there are some people are buying and selling the bitcoin, US Government is not controlling the bitcoin may if supports means definitely there is an increase in price, but bitcoin is tradable coin so it completely depend on people all parts of world who are using it. But coming to my speculation if trump really supports bitcoin, it is going to be a big bump for bitcoin community.

I don't think he is ever going to support Bitcoin because that would basically mean that he refuses to support the official currency of the US, the dollar. In my view, many Americans might think of this as some kind of high treason. So it is hardly possible that Trump would show his open support for Bitcoin even if he was in fact quite friendly toward this coin. Though I'm not sure if he ever heard about Bitcoin.

Trump has this America first motto.
Most of the mining farms are not in America, but in China.
For the moment bitcoin is too small for him to think about it. He has bigger fishes to fry. That's why I don't think his election will have any impact on bitcoin the next two years.
But if bitcoin would really start an enormous rise during his presidency, he would take counter measures.
Maybe regulate the american bitcoin market, maybe built subsidized mining farms in America, maybe declare bitcoin to be illegal. Who knows...
824  Economy / Economics / Re: The United States is in Worse Shape Financially Than Russia on: December 09, 2016, 02:49:49 PM
The united states live from their good reputation.
Although they have already been nearly insolvent a few times during the last years, the USA get negative real interest rates on government debt.
That means the market believes that there are no alternatives with sufficiently low risk.
Hopefully the market is not wrong.
825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NEver keep all your coins on an exchange on: December 09, 2016, 02:28:06 PM
Yes already I had learnt lesson from exchange site. Exchange site are always on their way to loot money especially those site which are less trusted and sometimes more truthful site also runs away with money. They don't have mercy.

That is why we must be choosy to the exchange sites that we are going to invest to. There are poor exchange sites and almost no user and only shitcoins are existing. We must choose exchanger that have already established its name on the market they are less likely to scam you. We must read reviews, trust ratings and the years of existence of an exchanger before placing your coins.

yeah. we need to analize the exchange before saving coins in it. just try to look for some testimonies from those who use an exchange. when you find it good or recommended, then go ahead, but if it is not, just stop.

the point is just be careful in everything you do. think several times before doing something.

Actually is really not advised to keep your coins in an exchange.  There are several fact that even legit exchange are being hacked.  The worst will be if you let your account 2fa unactivated.  I known someone who have no 2fa in his account and woke up one day that all his coins were hacked.  I think it happens in bittrex, though it is not fault of the exchange but the user himself.  If only he withdraw those coin to his wallet , that case should have been avoided.
If you do value your bitcoin you should really put the maximum security for it and we should not too confident because hacking incidents are happening and hackers are just around waiting for the perfect time.Putting amount or coins on a exchange wallet is risky thats why i transfer my bitcoin on a particular wallet because its more secure.
It's not only the hackers. Sometimes you transmit but the exchanges does not add the amount to yor account.
I'ce had such a situation twice already, and it always took me a few days to get it resolved.
Of course my money was not gone, but the opportunity where I wanted to inves was.
826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So where is the Bitcache thing by KimDotcom on: December 08, 2016, 06:00:06 PM
I really could not feel disappointed if he would not be successful with... whatever he is developing.
Although I have no idea of what he tries to create, just the name KimDotcom already has that touch of bad carma.
And this guy making his next business about bitcoin, that is something I would rather not want to read in the newspaper tomorrow.
827  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your bitcoins. on: December 08, 2016, 05:57:08 PM
I think that investing bitcoins is something for another time.
When bitcoine once is stable and its price increase has stopped.
I'm not talking about trading or something else that needs knowledge and skills.
But only reinvesting an already profitable investment just to get even more, that sounds a bit too greedy for my taste.
828  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the big whales are not cashing out? on: December 08, 2016, 04:11:55 PM
Does anybody know who those whales are?
Because, maybe they all did already cash out their coins, and none of them is left over to do that anymore.
It would actually be not a bad thing in my opinion, if bitcoin would be spread consistent over the bitcoin community.
Nobody should have a too big influence.
829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If a person has millions of Bitcoin and he dies one day................. on: December 08, 2016, 04:04:10 PM
If somebody has bitcoins in his wallet and nobody knows of them, or has a key to the wallet, then they are gone for good.
That is actually an interesting point of view: since the total number of bitcoins that can ever be mined is fixed to 21 millions, the realistic number of available bitcoins is decreasing permanently.
Not only bitcoin owners die, I'm sure every day a few passwords ar lost, or transactions are accidentally made to a wrong wallet that is not in use anymore.
This is a factor of price increasement I never thought about.

830  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining coins save or sell it? on: December 08, 2016, 09:57:08 AM
Mining coins is usually under the purpose that money has to be earned.
If you save all of the coins, all you have is expenses for hardware and electricity, and no income.
In order not to have any losses I would at least sell the amount of coins that would cover my expanses.
831  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be our new world currency? on: December 08, 2016, 09:42:17 AM
I really don't see how bitcoin would be able to be the next dominant world currency.
At the moment it is the dollar followed by the euro with a big distance.
Bitcoin with its 12 billion market capitalization is way too small to play in that league, even if its worth would climbe 100 times of what it has now.
In my opinion the dominant world currency has to be a fiat, backed up by a major national economy.
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people use/hold bitcoin in 2016 on: December 08, 2016, 08:28:02 AM
My guess is that the number of users is somewhere from 5 to 10 million users.
Bitcointalk.org is now closing up to have 1 million users.
A lot of bitcoin users start here, I suppose at least 10%. That would make a total number ot 10 million btc users.
If the percentege in my calculation goes up, the total number of users would decrease.
833  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: December 07, 2016, 04:07:33 PM
Why you should not trust bank, bank is the government regulated business and it will hold money for our future that is why bank is trusted in holding our money just only choose the bank who have good reputation.
Banks and bankers are not to be trusted because they care only for themselves, they don't have your best interest on mind and will throw you under the bus at the first opportunity they get.
Banks are already regulated to keep citizens' money and be sure to make them safe whilst bankers are only care for themselves, it's wrong to say that banks only care for themselves because bank is the factor that keeping your country's economy good until now, without bank the economy seem can't be healthy
I disagree, so what if they are regulated? Banks have been guilty of mismanaging the money of their clients too many times despite all of those regulations so it's very safe to say that we must not trust them and that is why keeping the money of bitcoin is a good option since we have complete control over our coins.
Honestly, when it comes to terms of money, there is nobody I would trust.
Money, it does not matter in what form, represents the time of my life I had to use to earn it.
And I will never be careless wit that. I usually check every thing I do with money. If the amount is higher I double check.
That includes banks as well.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any risk in using Bitcoin over Public WiFi ? on: December 07, 2016, 04:00:04 PM
If you make a transaction with a public WiFi, the transaction itself most likely will not be corrupted.
But if somebody observes the transmitted data, and that data is not sufficiently encrypted, he can find a way to get your log in data.
And then he would have access to the coins on the wallet where you have made the transaction with.
At least if an online wallet was used.
835  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think will be a best time to buy bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 08:11:53 AM
When you want bitcoin and you can afford bitcoin, then that is exactly the right time to buy.
Unless you have some kind of insider information you will never be able to predict what is going to happen with bitcoin price.
And if you want to make a purchase with the coin, you most likely won't have them long enough on your wallet that price fluctuations will matter.
836  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is Freedom on: December 07, 2016, 08:08:09 AM
Well, if you could take advantage of bitcoin well, it might be the freedom that you have. owned bitcoin transaction is hidden, so you might be able to buy anything using bitcoin. you're also free to make any business with bitcoin, because when you could take advantage of it, and can make a profit that much, then it is freedom that you get from bitcoin
Yes I am already enjoying my freedom. I am a hard core gambler and I am able to gamble more freely than ever before just because of using bitcoin payment systems. Now I never need to disclose my personal details to gambling site and no one from my family will come to know that I am spending money for gambling. What else freedom I may need ?

I'n that specific case I'm not sure if bitcoin really gives you more freedom or just tightens you more to the gambling addiction.
But hey, I don't judge...
In principle you are completely right.
Bitcoin givest you the freedom to do with your money whatever you want. Nobody needs to know what it is unless you want to tell.
837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2016, 08:02:13 AM
At the moment I am not aware of a bank accepting bitcoins.
I have heared that in some countrys banks are only allowed to accept fiat, so there would be a problem if they wanted to go into bitcoin business.
Besides, I am wondering why a bank would want to accept bitcoins.
They would need a way to earn from the coins people give them, and I see nothing save enough that a bank would rely on.
838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did you first hear about bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 06:57:27 PM
I don't know exactly how I heared about bitcoin the first time.
But one day I was searching a new payment method to replace my credit card.
And what I found was.... Bitcoin Smiley
Since then I'm a member of the bitcoin community.
839  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the Bitcoin price ever drop back down to $500? on: December 05, 2016, 07:15:18 PM
I sure, now and future day bitcoin can't drop back down $500 again. Now, the price in 2016, increase more than 300℅ since beginning year. Supply bitcoin is can't added but demand always increase, so the market rule is price will increase.

don't be too confident with saying that the price can't drop to $500 anymore. i have seen the price fall from the $1000 price level all the way to $190. and i even thought a bit lower than that. a drop of more than $800 can you imagine that? probably not...

I have seen those big price changes too and that's one reason I asked the initial question. It seems unlikely for the price to drop that low again but we have seen strange things happen. The positive now is that with more time passing, theoretically Bitcoin is more established and therefore more stable.
Bouncing back to 500 would require some triggering event I think.
One of the major exchanges had to go hacked or go bankrupt, taking all the users coins with it.
Under such a scenario I would think a loss of trust would be possible that could lead to a massive drop.
840  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: December 05, 2016, 07:09:37 PM
I think one reason why bitcoin is so popular these days is because it stands against a lot of things people are done with.
With bitcoin you can get a piece of freedom back, be your own man, be your own bank.
A lot of people use bitcoin just to make a statment. And with bitcoin they find others who think the same way. Bitcoin connects!
