1041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing my $2,000,000 Into bitcoin (advice me) on: September 29, 2016, 05:51:04 PM
First of all, I really do not think that op has a friend with 2Million to invest.
This amount I would only invest into a mining farm if I am already a pro regardingof bitcoin.
Clearly op is not, otherwise he would not have to ask such basic questions with so few informations about the project.
If there really were 2 millions in the game I would strongly advise to invest it elsewhere, stock market maybe.
1042  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: September 29, 2016, 10:22:15 AM
I have both, a wallet and a bank account. And I'm glad that i is that way.
If I had to choose I would surly take the bank account.
The number of places where bitcoins are accepted are just way too low.
Bitcoin as a payment system is not that far yet.
Maybe it will be one day, but still that is going to take some years.
1043  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin replaces the money? Could happen? on: September 29, 2016, 10:14:04 AM
Fiat exists for thousnads of years, bitcoin maybe for a decade.
It is way too early to award bitcoin to the same level as a fiat.
And one day all bitcoins will be mined, I do not think that something similar can happen to fiat.
So from how I see it bitcoin won't be able to replace money.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin help poor countries? on: September 29, 2016, 10:06:31 AM
bitcoin is just a currency imo, it can't help countries directly but it can provide an easy and cheap way to conduct transactions and therefore indirectly helping and allowing poor countries to send/receive and possibly improve there local currency value.
I agree, in my opinion bitcoin will help people of poor countries, they can become freelancer of bitcoin and getting extra income via trading, mining and other activities that related of bitcoin.

I think that in poor countries you often do not have the possibility to make any kind of business because you have no bank account.
Maybe the people are not accepted by the bank or the bank is too far way.
So no transactions can be made or received by those people.
With bitcoin they can do online payments and receive money. I think that is one step in the right direction.
1045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if...Satoshi Nakamoto suddenly burns 1 million bitcoins? on: September 29, 2016, 08:46:05 AM
I don't think that anything would happen.
Satoshis coins have not been touched since the biginning, at least as far as I know.
If you burn something nobody uses, I do not think it would have any affect on anything.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no competition on: September 28, 2016, 07:08:18 AM
I expect bitcoin to rule the crypto currency market for at least another five years, like it does at the moment.
Unless something unexpected happenes, that would only affect bitcoin, not the other currencies, such as a fork.
But one day, who knows. Maybe another currency comes up that has a ver big supporter. Maybe a bank, or even a government.
1047  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: September 28, 2016, 05:45:32 AM
If bitcoin would really reach that amount, I would simply retire.
Sell that one bitcoin an enjoy life, because I would never ever have to work again.
But only if the dollar value stays constant. Because that's the thing: I can only imagine bitcoin to reach $1M if the worth of a dollar drops dramatically.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For what was Bitcoin created? on: September 27, 2016, 01:59:09 PM
Maybe bitcoin was developed as an act of rebellion.
A statement of Nakamoto on how he thinks about governts and the way the trace everything people do.
I can imagine that creating an unhackable payment system that works across all borders, without the controle or influence of a government was somehow the intention of Nakamoto.
From all I have seen and learnde so far about bitcoin, he did a pretty good job.
1049  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is Bitcoin designed to last forever? on: September 27, 2016, 11:26:36 AM
One day all bitcoins will be mined.
That means no transactions will be confirmed anymore.
I think that coins can still be sent, but without the confirmation, I don't think that people will still use it.
So no, I don't think bitcoin will last forever.
Besides, I think that the confirmation times will become so slow that long before the last coin will be mined nobody will use bitcoin anymore.
1050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain Info on: September 27, 2016, 05:43:58 AM
Blockchain.info is a good site to use in my opinion.
You can create a wallet there and manage your coins by this.
It would be smart to activate the 12 words recovery phrase in case that you have to recover your wallet for any reason.
Like the other posts here say, you hev to buy your coins somewhere else.
That usually needs some registration process.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin is the new era of currency? on: September 27, 2016, 05:15:37 AM
I see bitcoon as a payment method for certain online services.
And I see bitcoins as a form of investment for people who are willing to put their money into a little bit more risky forms of investment.
But I don't see bitcoin to be the next us dollar.
The amounts that are traded and the market capitalization are still way to small to be able to talk about something like an era.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Your Business Should Care About Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2016, 07:36:20 PM
Bitcoin is growing!
Partnering up with a growing system gives your company the possibility to grow with it.
That is a big advantage everybody who runs a company should think about.
1053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SHOULD I BUY AND HOLD BTC, DASH, DOGE on: September 26, 2016, 07:28:13 PM
I don't think it can be advised to treat altcoins the same way as bitcoins.
These days altcoins are just an object of short term speculation. They are pumped over a small period and rapidly dumped after that.
Nobody can say if there will a come back for a specific altcoin.
Bitcoin is different. It's not easy to pump or dump the bitcoin price because its market capitaization is much higher.
The value of bitcoin has proven to stay constant compared to altcoins. Here a long term investment can make sense.

1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs sex workers on: September 26, 2016, 08:36:50 AM
I think that porn and sex business is a business like every other as well.
So it will grow along with the other businesses s well. Maybe even a bit more, because the buyer usually is not very keen on giving his name.
There are already several sites that accept bitcoin as payment.
I'm not sure if more workers are actually needed. When there is too much supply of something, the price usually drops. That would not be in favor the workers.
1055  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: September 23, 2016, 06:13:14 PM
Bitcoin is as safe as the user makes it.
Ther are many ways to make your coins unsafe.
You can invest in cloudmining, use weak passwords, be careless with transactions, store your coins at exchanges, trade into the wrong currency, and and and...
My point is that the unsafe part of bitcoin always sits in front of the computer.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: Is gold better than Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2016, 06:07:52 PM
The question is what you want to do.
I see no sense in buying gold and selling it again a week later.
With bitcoins this kind of trading is not unusual.
But as an investment for really hard times somewhen in the future, a few gold coins make sense.

1057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why very little campaign for newbie? on: September 23, 2016, 05:52:20 PM
I think one of the reasons why newbies have nearly no campaign options is that the campaign wants to deliver a certain trust level.
Everybody can create an account here within a few seconds. But the higher ranks, they take time. People have to put some effort in it.
And the chances are bigger that a higher rank knows what he is talking about than this might be the case with a newbie.
So if I would want that somebody makes advertisement for my business, I would want this somebody to be someone with a certain reputation.
That's probably the reason why members with negative trust can't participate in any campaign I would know of.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is earning bitcoin Boring? on: September 23, 2016, 02:38:35 PM
Every work can be boring, the way you get paid does not change that.
So earning bitcoins can be boring, but it does not have to be.
If you do signature campaigns, just write stuff you like to talk about.
If the work you are doing bores you that much, you should change either the work or the way you are doing it.
1059  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: September 23, 2016, 07:10:41 AM
It's always the question how you define long term investment.
But I think that if you want to invest for more than one year, now is a good buy time.
The longer you want to invest the better it will be for your investment.
Mine for example is now sleeping for a decade.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people use so many Bitcoin wallets? on: September 23, 2016, 07:07:36 AM
I think that people who are using bitcons often want to stay anonymous.
All transactions made by that wallet are recorded in the blockchain.
If you use just one wallet and you have bought something with your real name by using that wallet for sending the payment, your name will be forever combined with that specific wallet.
Using many wallets avoids that problem. Even if one would be connected to your name, the others still would not be.
