1021  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any safe way to grow my bitcoins ? on: October 02, 2016, 07:56:44 AM
If you are really searching for a safe way to grow your bitcoins, I think there is none.
Bitcoin is still an object of speculation where a lot of people have high hopes of.
Those can fulfill, but it is not certain.
In my opinion just keeping the coins makes most sense.
That does not grow the number of your coins, but it does not endanger it either.
And maybe the amount of fiat you get for it will increase. At least that is my hope.
1022  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: October 02, 2016, 06:15:57 AM
All bitcoin together just have about 10 billion dollars of worth.
When you look at the stock market you can find businesses that are worth at about the same amount.
Small incidents trigger a bigger reaction in their stock price than they do with a larger business.
Besides, traditional fiat are partly backed up by gold, with bitcoins there is just the community.
1023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pros and cons of using new Bitcoin addresses for each transaction? on: October 02, 2016, 06:02:14 AM
I just have a few addresses I usually always use.
When I generate a new address, does that mean I have to put my funds first on the new address and make the real transaction then?
Would that mean I had to spend the transaction fee two times?
1024  Other / Off-topic / Re: When and why did you start using Bitcoin? on: October 02, 2016, 05:55:16 AM
I'm into bitcoins for about 18 months now.
Have seen a halving, an exchange hack, the DAO incident, the ether fork and the decrease of the faucet system.
It has been an interesting time and I hope it stays that ways for the coming years which I'm planing to stay with bitcoins.
1025  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What I love about Bitcoin on: October 01, 2016, 01:57:55 PM
I really like the fact that I can buy things that do not show up at my credit card billing.
This way I do not have to justify myself befor my wife if I buy something that is useless in her eyes. She has that strange money control issue.
The only thing that's left for me to do is being faster than her when the delivery man comes.
1026  Other / Archival / Re: What would you say to people who advice you to sell all your bitcoin? on: October 01, 2016, 08:58:32 AM
I would want to hear a reasonable explanation from the person who gives me that advice.
If he has one I would have to check his theory or sources myself.
But I guess it would be one of those doomsday trolls who give discouraging advices to everything he has no clue of.
So I would spare me an answer and just ingnore him.
1027  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which crptocurency sites would you recommend for daily use? on: October 01, 2016, 08:20:46 AM
For a general overview ragarding prices and charts I use coinmarketcap.com.
When I want to follow transactions I use blockchain.info.
And for the rest this board has proven to be the best source of information for me.
1028  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: October 01, 2016, 08:16:31 AM
I would not come very far if I left the house with no cash, only my smartphone.
For the next 30 miles I do not know a single shop where I could use btc as payment.
What is beyond that I actually do not know, but I would be surprised if there were shops that accepted bitcoins.
To me the sentence "bitcoin instead of cash" really makes no sense.
1029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Websites powered by bitcoin mining on: October 01, 2016, 07:24:46 AM
I really don't think wikileaks would be happy if you give them old mining technology and want them to use it.
It would be some strange kind of chairity if you give somebody a tool that makes him pay more than he can get out of it.
Baisically i can only agree to what most others here have said, in most countries the bitcoin mining train has already left the station. No way to jump on it anymore.
1030  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who really uses bitcoin? on: October 01, 2016, 06:00:41 AM
I don't think there is the average user.
While some just make a few transactions a year to buy something online, others really try to live some kind of bitcoin idea and ise it everywhere possible.
But in general I would say that the female fraction is slightly underrepresentated.
I can imagine this would be a good topic for somebodys dissertation.
1031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone reading this right now will be dead before Bitcoin dies on: October 01, 2016, 05:52:26 AM
I'm not so much the colonizing guy.
And my next transaction to another planet must wait a little as well.
I know it's boring, but i am more the pragamtic type.
I would be really satisfied just to know if the developement of bitcoin during the next few years turns out to be positive.
1032  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why in some countries Bitcoin is banned on: September 30, 2016, 02:23:44 PM
One reason is that the governments don't want the people to flee from their own fiat.
In a country with already weak economic buying bitcoins brings the worth of the local fiat further down compared to the big fiats in the world.
When somebody puts his money into bitcoins there is even more supply of the local currency that leads to a lower price for it.
That is what governments with weakened economic want the least.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here we go... Major VR porn sites accept Bitcoins next to Paypal on: September 30, 2016, 01:51:17 PM
I'm thankful for every site that offers bitcoin as a payment method.
I just hope that it will stay there.
The problem with all those average porn sites in my opinion is that customers tend to download the content from other sources out of the internet. No matter what payment methods are offered.
Maybe with bitcoin this trend will change a bit.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: September 30, 2016, 01:39:14 PM
I think that running a real shop in a city costs a lot of money.
Remember, you are in direct competition to everybody who sells online bitcoins, becaus today nearly everybody has a smartphone, so everybody can buy bitcoins online everywhere.
I don't see how you can sell bitcoins in a real shop for a price people would pay, and that same price should cover your costs for a real shop.
1035  Other / Off-topic / Re: how bitcoin is popular in your country ? on: September 30, 2016, 10:19:00 AM
Where I live bitcoin still has a lot of work to do.
Just recently I talked to a few people who have never even heard about bitcoin or crypto currency in general.
Ok, those guys usually earn their money with plants, but all have computer, tv and smartphone.
There are still so many people out there who could become a fan of bitcoin if they just would be reached.
1036  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does bitcoin help your life in daily needs? on: September 30, 2016, 10:12:04 AM
To me, bitcoin is of use when I do some online purchases where I don't want to have my name mentioned.
And a little bit for a long term investment into an unclear future.
But for everyday life, bitcoin does not play a role for me at the moment.
Everything I usually buy is from shops in my area, ebay or amazon. None of those accepts bitcoins.
1037  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: September 30, 2016, 07:50:07 AM
If you do make sure you pay taxes on those Bitcoin, else you will lose more than you have. Don't want to get audited.

Does bitcoin have tax? I don't think bitcoins do have tax but only miners fee so if you are going to buy your own house with bitcoin.

That is just going to cover up when you convert it to fiat money. And that is the time that you are going to pay government tax for buying your house.

But I don't care about taxes as long as I am able to buy my own house with bitcoin, that is success!

In my country there is something called land transfer tax.
That means you have to pay taxes when you buy the land where your hous stands on.
That is a tax you can't avoid, even when you pay with bitcoins. Land transfers are recorded, so the state knows from whom it has to be collected.
1038  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin died tomorrow on: September 30, 2016, 05:49:01 AM
If bitcoin would really die tomorrow, I would make some losses.
But I am sure that another cryptocurrency would take its place. And I could be at there at the rise of this new currency from the beginning. What I was not when bitcoin awoke.
I think it would be a great opportunity for me.
But I do not thing bitcoin is going to die. Not tomorrow, not in the next decade.
1039  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I do trading? on: September 30, 2016, 05:44:39 AM
Hello to all, I want to know how I can enter into trading and do trading?
Trading is not a joke you need a capital to start trading if you are good in it then you can start with small capital of bitcoin to buy some cheap alternative coins , Where you wait the price to price increase but this is not easy it always take times or weeks before the price move.
Yes capital is very important in the trade if we have a large capital it does not take long to make a profit. buy bitcoin at cheap price and waiting the bitcoin price rise is the easiest way in trading.

Trading is not as easy as everybody here says. I have tried it, and I have failed. At least at the beginning.
It is tricky to know the right time to buy. You need to study the market, maybe be able to read the charts properly.
Don't start with high amounts if you have no experience.
And you need a little luck as well, for the price increase and for the fact that your exchange does not get hacked while you have your coins there.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ho is going to host a 100TB blockchain ??? on: September 30, 2016, 05:35:37 AM
I can imagine that in 10 years a 100 TB hard disk will not be that expensive anymore.
The problem will be the time you need to download it.
When I compare the speed of my internet from now compared to what it was 5 years ago, it has not changed.
So downloading such a high amount of data will in 10 years still be a problem. Especially if it is p2p.
