101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: January 29, 2024, 08:33:03 PM
Gambling for fun is safer for the mind than gambling for financial gain.
Who can guarantee that you can win every day at the gambling table? Of course there isn't, it's all just assumptions of victory which in the end makes you confused because you never win.
If you position it as a pleasure, that's good, it won't disrupt your daily financial stability. If you have spent all your money, it is no longer considered pleasure but is already in the addiction stage.
It's better to forget the concept of gambling for financial gain rather than being destroyed because of difficulties in controlling yourself, because many people have been destroyed because they couldn't control themselves at the gambling table.
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: January 29, 2024, 08:11:50 PM

Indonesia had to accept 4 - 0 defeat to Australia and they had to be able to accept the fact that they were returning home early from the AFC competition, this was the umpteenth failure and Indonesia had to be able to learn from failures like this.
Now Australia can easily qualify to enter the quarter-finals and only need to wait for the completion of all the top 16 matches to be able to see the next schedule for the quarter-finals.

~snip~
We can see Indonesia dare to play short ball and hold the ball a lot. This is a good development, the ball movement is flowing well. But in some decisions there are still some players who are often late to pass. Indonesia's attacking line also struggled. Australia didn't play like Japan, in fact I think Japan were much faster with the tempo. So the tempo of the match was slower.
Australia managed to take advantage of the physical advantage and some basic mistakes of Indonesian defenders. The 2nd and 4th goals are one example. Other than that Australia was also more effective. Congratulations to Australia you deserved to win. Next up is the Asia U23 cup and World cup qualifiers, I hope some of the Indonesian blooded players who are in the process of transferring are finished.
Indonesia's development has improved quite a lot at this time, even though the score is losing, the game is starting to look more well organized. This is just a matter of flying hours because the majority of Indonesian players are U-23. Australia was able to take advantage of Indonesia's weakness in the second half, which was starting to run out of stamina. Indonesia's weakness lies in their less clinical finishing, even though many opportunities were created, but none of them could be converted into goals.

Indeed, Australia's game is not as scary as Japan, which plays a fast tempo from foot to foot. Australia bowled more often to take advantage of their posture. But both teams should be appreciated because the FIFA rankings are very far apart too. Congratulations to Australia for qualifying for the last 8.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: While placing bet what comes your mind on: January 29, 2024, 07:50:52 PM
That is a problem for every gambler, bumping into what they had planned beforehand. In my opinion, this is very natural because emotions play there. Therefore, it is necessary for us to be able to control our emotions in every gambling game and be able to enjoy the game without feeling cheated because we experience more losses than wins. People very easily change the bet amount up and down just to satisfy their desire for revenge without thinking that the closer they are to losing a lot of money because of their careless actions. Or worse, you will look for a loan to bet again until you really don't have any money to play with.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 29, 2024, 06:44:37 PM
The most effective way to fight emotions is to think realistically. When you can think realistically, you will accept the defeats and wins that you experience without any mental burden.
Because no matter what, what you are facing is a systematic game, where in fact your winnings are no more than 20% when playing.
Revenge of defeat is the beginning of people falling into making the loss of a lot of money even more real. Stop while you remember and look for other activities that can calm you down.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 29, 2024, 06:26:55 PM
But I will never make winning from gambling my main goal, because I understand very well that the extent of the losses I might experience will not be directly proportional to the wins I get.
Of course I'm happy to hear that if you people can rise from adversity because of a big win from accidental gambling, that's your luck. However, it cannot be used as a benchmark that everyone can feel this way.
At least as a justification, this fate can indeed happen to lucky people. If he tried again, I don't think he would have it that easy.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 29, 2024, 03:59:53 PM
I don't know why the news that Liverpool will lose Klopp has become a hype and continue to be discussed every day, whereas we also have other popular clubs who have also lost their best coach, we don't even knows whether Roma can returned to the way they were last season, whereas since they were replaced by a new coach, Roma looks really bad. stable and I'm worried that Roma won't be able to qualify for the next round.
Even though De Rossi is a former Roma player legend in the past, he cannot give any guarantees while the match schedule is getting closer.
So do you think Roma will progress to the next round and beat Feyenoord?
It was a natural thing, Klopp resigned when Liverpool was at the peak of its glory. Mourinho was fired because of several bad matches.
It's different when Mourinho resigned when he won the European League trophy, of course this would be discussed and become hype on all media platforms.

Can De Rossi make Roma successful? I don't want to have too high expectations of him.
The most reasonable target is to keep Roma's table in the top 5 so that they have a big chance of qualifying for the UCL or Europa League.
If that can be achieved then De Rossi is worthy enough to be retained to coach Roma.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2 years old kids alone at home for hours, while the father goes gambling on: January 29, 2024, 03:40:41 PM
This is example 1 of the many cases exposed by the media. There are many cases similar to this and it is truly heartbreaking. But the government doesn't seem to be doing anything, letting the cases just evaporate.
There should be a party who is able to provide assistance or some kind of child protection commission so that this child can still carry out normal activities without thinking that his parents have abandoned him because of gambling.
Indeed, sometimes when gambling is in the addiction stage it will cause a lot of damage to social life. More often than not it leads to criminal mischief as well.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 29, 2024, 03:25:43 PM

Both Real Madrid and Chelsea seem to have no serious intention to sign Benzema. There is no big advantage to have him in the squad. Benzema even failed to play well in Saudi, how can expect him to play well in Europe? Real Madrid focuses to sign young strikers, their targets are Mbappe and Osimhen. Meanwhile Chelsea already have Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea also prefers to sign young strikers.

The era of Benzema was over, he is no longer in the prime age. Why he must return to Europe now?  Undecided

In fact we can see that the link between Benzema and Madrid is only to increase media traffic because in the end based on Ancelotti's statements, it seems that he has no  intention of bringing Benzema back to Madrid.
As we know last season he was let go from Madrid so why include  him back in the list when everyone has agreed to start a new start for each of them.

Benzema is a good player and he is one of Madrid legends who cant be forgotten but that doesn't mean we should hold back and bring him back in his old age. At the very least, there should be a longterm contribution and Ancelotti likes that scheme so much that they always bring in young players and now that the Benzema rumor mill is in full swing we know that this won't be the case because they (Madrid and Benzema) have gone their separate ways.
Moreover, Real Madrid will never want to bring in old players. For example, last season Sergio Ramos was still free before joining Sevilla, many media spread rumors that Ramos would return to Madrid but in fact he didn't.
Ronaldo, Ramos and Benzema will not return to Madrid as players. It is possible that some of them will return to Madrid for new positions, either as youth team coaches or staff, as Raul, Casillas, Roberto Carlos and Guti have done.
After all, what can be expected for players over 35 years old and competing in Europe? This will only create a bad dressing room situation. It is better for them to play in mediocre leagues with high salaries because it is to support them before their retirement comes.

As reported by https://www.90min.com/posts/andre-onana-afcon-returned-date-confirmed-by-erik-ten-hag

Quote
Erik ten Hag has confirmed that goalkeeper Andre Onana will return to Manchester United before Thursday after Cameroon's AFCON exit.

To be honest, if i would like to see onana played in the AFCON forever. This goal keeper sucks and he was not even worthy enough to be the main goal keeper for manchester united. Ten hag has been confirming when he will be back to the united but i was praying for him never comeback again. MU is just getting back its disaster again.
It's quite surprising me to see that how onana was not even able performing good even in AFCON. he was always making so many blunders on AFCON and i have been seeing his meme from AFCON many times. It sounds shit to hear that ten hag is feeling happy to see him back again.

What a fuckin disaster for manchester united. I believe him when he came to the united but i distrust him now after so many terrible performances from onana. His performance in afcon has been showing how bad he was as a goalkeeper. He deserves no place in the manchester united.
Ten hag has no time to get a new goal keeper and this is shit. I hoped that if ten hag would get a new goal keeper but i was wrong. This terrible guy is still becoming the main goal keeper of manchester united.

It is quite shocking to see such a terrible decision being made by Ten Hag at this moment. I don't like this. What a fuckin scam transfer from intermilan. Why doesn't ten hag to tell him comeback to the club next year.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
I've run out of words to see Onana's level of behavior. Neither at MU nor in the Cameroon national team, he always did silly things that were detrimental to the team.
I think he has started star syndrome since his move from Inter to MU. Just imagine letting go of De Gea for a goalkeeper like Onana. Another fact is that Cameroon suffered defeat when Onana entered the starting eleven.
On the other hand, Inter Milan is enjoying a much better replacement for Onana, namely Yan Sommer. I don't know how long Onana will continue to do this stupid thing at MU, I hope ETH will rotate the goalkeeper position and try Altay Bayındır and reserve Onana for a while.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 29, 2024, 02:41:00 PM
Girona managed to win away to Celta Vigo and continue to lead the league.Obviously such a performance was not expected and they are in a neck and neck title race with Real Madrid.Even though Real Madrid have one game less, the fact that they are now leading even with a game in hand has certainly boosted their confidence. They have a good squad and with this squad they will be able to do well even in the champions league even if they don't become champions.Girona will fight until the last weeks with the hope of becoming champions and will try not to lose matches, but I don't think Real Madrid will give the championship.
11 February Girona will face Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu. Of course this will determine who will widen the points gap between each other. Real Madrid has the advantage of fewer matches than Girona. However, next week there are quite difficult matches for Madrid because they have to meet Getafe, Atletico Madrid and then Girona. Ancelotti must be selective in managing the fitness of their starting eleven to achieve maximum results.
But I see that Girona really really wants their first La Liga title this season, however, the battle between Real Madrid and Girona is really worth looking forward to because this is a battle of pride for Real Madrid.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are every activities/competitions with stake known to be gambling? on: January 29, 2024, 08:16:40 AM
I don't think it's gambling, but a race that has legal rules about it.
In gambling games, there is an element of profit that depends on luck (luck) or the skill/smartness of the player. Apart from that, gambling games also involve betting.

For example, if you play chess because you take part in a competition and get money as a prize when you win a chess game, then this cannot be said to be gambling.
It's different if you see other people playing chess, then you bet with your friend that A or B will win, then that action is gambling. Betting carried out by people who are not participating in the competition is gambling.

Thus, based on the explanation above, every game or game that contains betting elements which can be in the form of money or property, where the winnings or profits are based on luck, can also be because the players are more skilled/trained, then the action is gambling.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: January 29, 2024, 08:08:44 AM
There is a piece of very bad news for Bayern Munich and their fans about their coach, while they're racing hard into Budesligga for the title with Leverkusen and every single point is important for them, it seems Tuch said he is interested in leaving Bundesliga for La Liga and he somehow said that he wants to work for Barcelona. Maybe I'm not right about Tuchel in Barcelona but it was shocking enough when we saw Tuchel even thinking about leaving Bayern Munich.

I'm not really sure whether he can lift Barcelona because I saw his inconsistency in coaching Munich. Because currently Barcelona is having a difficult time winning matches. Plus poor financial conditions.
It would be better for Tuchel to stay in Munich until he can prove that he can bring Munich to win lots of domestic and UCL trophies. Moreover, it should be easier now because he has Kane who really shows excellent qualities as a goal-hungry striker.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2024, 06:43:53 AM
If Inter will win next week to the serie A will be over.

Next week we will have Inter Juventus

big match next week. and inter are favored in the match. because inter milan will act as the host. if Juventus lose then inter will very easily win the Italian league championship. but the actual can not be declared champions and finished because the number of matches is still a lot. it could be that inter in the next match could slip losing points either draw or lose.
Only 1 point away, so it cannot be said that Inter can easily fight for the title. Moreover, Inter's next match will be more difficult because they will also face Roma after fighting Juventus. On the other hand, Juventus should be able to take advantage of the next 2 matches to get full points because they are against bottom teams. The battle for the title this time will probably only be dominated by Juve and Inter, because Milan has quite a big difference in points. But it doesn't rule out the possibility that they will be able to wipe out the rest of the match so they can keep the two teams on points.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 27, 2024, 08:50:54 PM
I'm curious about how Dortmund will be able to stop PSV in the Champions League last 16 match because this Dutch team is so consistent in the domestic league and up to now they have recorded impressive results and are at the top of the standings for the highest Dutch competition. In the first leg, PSV had the first opportunity to host and here it was clear that Dortmund did not really benefit because they were the visiting team.

If PSV is able to steal the aggregate advantage at home then they only need to make it difficult for Dortmund in the second leg and I think it will be almost impossible for Dortmund to win in the away match. Moreover, Dortmund's job in the domestic league is increasingly difficult because they have not been able to penetrate the competition at the top and their inconsistency will also be quite doubtful in the match against PSV later. I think this is a match we should not miss.
Materially, Dortmund players are superior. But mentally Dortmund is still far from good. The last few matches in the domestic league have made them stumble. This is why high motivation is needed during the match against PSV, especially in the first leg when they have to visit PSV's home ground. For me it will be a huge pressure to secure a position in this preliminary round. On the other hand, PSV is very dominant in the domestic league, it is not impossible that Dortmund can be defeated easily and maintain their hopes of winning again in the second leg at Dortmund's home ground.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 27, 2024, 08:22:37 PM
The football world was shocked when Jurgen Klopp announced his retirement after this season. I respect his choice to step down regardless of his current standing. It is not easy to persuade himself to keep overseeing Liverpool when there is no burning desire any longer. He made a ton of achievements most outstandingly winning the Champions League.

Klopp can feel much better now and relieved of the tensions. Along those lines, he can recover his energy and remain fixed on winning the English Premier. I anticipate a ton of great managers in the following season however, finding a replacement for Klopp is not easy.

It's a shame that a manager like Jurgen Klopp had to end his journey at Liverpool, even though he was the person who made Liverpool emerge from their dark ages. Whatever he chooses, of course it will not be an easy choice considering he has fond memories of Liverpool over the past few seasons.

Since the announcement, we have even heard rumors about Liverpool's future manager, there are 7 strong candidates who will handle it, including:

- Steven G
- Thomas Frank
- Xabi
- De Zerbi
- Nagelsmann
- Pep Lijnders
- Xavi

If this rumor becomes true in the future, which manager do you think is more suitable to manage Liverpool?
Of course De Zerbi is the most logical candidate for Liverpool due to several factors such as being familiar with the EPL, and having a gegenpress tactical philosophy like Klopp.
However, it is also possible that if De Zerbi handles Liverpool he will use other tactics to perfect the existing tactics.

I can't judge Xabi Alonso yet because I have to wait until the end of the season to see whether Leverkusen's game is stagnant or declining.
But in his heart, Xabi has an emotional closeness to Liverpool because he has defended the club for a long time.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling addiction lead to domestic violence? on: January 27, 2024, 08:00:41 PM
Cases of domestic violence due to gambling often occur in low-income communities. There are lots of references that can be read in several Southeast Asian media.
Because I also happen to be Asian, so I understand very well about this incident. On average, husbands are addicted to gambling and sell everything in the house, and don't even give any money to their wives.
This is what causes differences of understanding which ultimately lead to domestic violence. And quite a few end up being murder cases.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 27, 2024, 07:42:43 PM
Real Madrid vs Las palmas Real Madrid team played amazingly in today's match. Although the first half saw plenty of attacking play between the two teams, neither team managed to score a goal. But after half time both teams played superbly, firstly in 53 minutes Las Palmas managed to give Real Madrid a goal, but later Real Madrid team became stronger and started to attack brilliantly which brought the game to a tie. Although the game was very tight, but in the 84th minute of the game, Real Madrid took the lead by blocking the ball in the goal net of another opposition team, and at this moment the game was almost over and Real Madrid won a great victory. Today's match was held at Las palmas home ground due to which they played superbly and attacked well against Real Madrid and had the most possession. However, Real Madrid have overtaken Girona in La Liga at the moment and moved to the top spot. Real Madrid scored a remarkable 2-1 win over Las Palmas and moved to the top of the points table with 54 points and today's game was really interesting.
Once again Real Madrid is making a comeback, how many times have they made a comeback in La Liga when they were behind by a goal.
I don't think this is just luck, it is clear that every player has high motivation to win the match.
Congratulations to Real Madrid who can still maintain a points gap with Girona for the race for the top of the La Liga standings.

At almost the same time Barcelona also managed to make a comeback against Villareal.
The final result was good but unfortunately it was a little tarnished because Villareal's goal was disallowed by the referee because it was considered offside. Even though the player did not touch the ball at all. Cheesy
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: January 27, 2024, 07:11:34 PM
If it doesn't affect his life I don't think it's an addiction. Addiction is a condition that makes a person lose control over something.
Usually this refers to excessive liking and is driven by a strong desire or passion for one thing. A person who is addicted will usually have no control over what he does, consumes, or uses.
If he can still control his life over gambling, it means it is just a hobby or just fun. Because he understands when it's time to gamble, when it's time for him to stop playing and do activities outside of gambling.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gamblers do retired betting gambles on: January 27, 2024, 06:41:31 PM
I don't think there's any problem with betting his retirement money at the gambling table, what else is he going to do if he's 70 years old if it's not something he likes like gambling.
Actually, it's good if he gambles in his old age, it might make his brain continue to work optimally. Because generally elderly people will lose cognitive abilities as they get older because the activities they do will decrease.
For them, it is not difficult to stop gambling because gambling is not a burden. I feel that older people are more easy going about everything.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 27, 2024, 06:28:15 PM
Are you sure it's that easy to stop gambling for the reasons you mentioned?
People who are addicted will find it difficult to accept the logic presented by other people, they will stop themselves when they feel the need to stop.
Whatever the reason for stopping, it is clear that no literature can explain it. Or the most effective way is to close all gambling platforms, then you will see many gamblers retire.
