101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (JWL) JEWELS 🔷 MMORPG 🔷 ICO LIVE 🔷 48 HRS LEFT 🔷TRUSTED DEV 🔷 70 BTC RAISED on: August 30, 2016, 11:17:16 AM
Thanks to XMR and FTC now i can use the extra BTC to invest more in this ICO.  Roll Eyes

Indeed crazy moves on XMR and FTC. I have made big money on those. And putting some money in ICOs, more BTCs to come Cheesy

The ICO starts during the crazy strom of ETH/ETC. Now it ends during the great strom of XMR and FTC. This ICO ends with a style. Those who makes profit in XMR and FTC, channel your gain here for future profit. If you can wait long for XMR, JWL will be no problem holdling for long term  Grin

it was started at a bad time to raise funds and that reflected in the slow pace to begin with?
jwls long is nothing compared to most long positions right?
what we talking long, 6months if the target is reached and i can only imagine where it will be then after starting as such a tiny marketcap.
jewels to the moooooon Cheesy

They offer an ongoing plan and roadmap. In order to make JWL have value and market the Dev use JWL in their successfull products. There the JWL potential can be discovered and improved. The dev are not selling the crypto as means of "changing the world" but use crypto as a problem solver as never sugarcoat them with any want-to-change-the-word-vision.

this quote shows how focus and brilliant this project is:

Don't try to make a billion dollar game, try to make something that tens or hundreds of thousands of players will desperately want.

i knew from day one the Dev was on point but that shows it very well what i already knew. Lets focus on increasing player base to even more than the thousands it has by adding new features, items and game content. with that mega market cap can follow. it reminds me of a scarface quote, "first you get the money" then you get the power, then you get the women Cheesy
translation for Jewels, "first you do the dev work" then you build the player base, then you get the marketcap. a sweet one step at a time.

The ongoing plan and the long term goal is what most interests me. Project rebirth in Q1 will be a game changer, literally. There of course will be a chance other games will see the success of Jewels and the projects which will probably make them want to be a part of.

If in the long term Heroes and Rebirth gain great traction that will be the reason other games will want to integrate Jewels to possibly get a wider userbase. There is very exciting times ahead while holding Jewels.

It’s not a race, it’s an ultramarathon

Crypto adoption won’t happen overnight. And it’s going to be hard work. And fun.

https://medium.com/@cassiuscrypto/its-not-a-race-it-s-an-ultramarathon-3d1bde7afde2#.1aqluy5ks

Some understand this but most don't understand it. All the majority on this forum care about is quick profit and not user adoption and the future. I am far from saying sasha is great because I'm really not sure about him. The forum is full of shit heads now and this thread proves that.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: August 30, 2016, 10:58:02 AM

…or read what Iconomi is actually about. If they have half a brain, they will keep the Lisk raised as an investment, instead of dumping it.

As I said before, due to its nature, I don't think Iconomi will create a giant ROI right from the beginning. Maybe there is some P&D action in the first few hours of hitting the exchanges, but apart from that, I don't see how a token that is so entwined with the money invested in it should do crazy price jumps. You can see that as a good or bad thing Wink If you want in and back out fast, I wouldn't expect 2x ROI, to be honest. But we'll see. I could be way off here (wouldn't be the first time).

Can you even trust Russians and other Slavs after the Waves fiasco?

I won't be trusting them that is for sure. Having Max kind of vouch for them aswell gives me a nasty taste in my mouth.

less than 48 hrs lets go guys we can do it .... !

Tick tock, tick tock. I'm sending over another couple of Bitcoin today and that is me maxed out. If I had more spare I would, we're talking about a 300sat coin currently that already has a big userbase and game practically ready what you can play in Beta, not mentioning Apex. Undervalued?

A coin like this should be in the thousands of satoshi IMHO. It is a freemarket as we all know so let's let that decide if it is under valued.

When you already have a working game and like damiano said a new one in beta it makes this so cheap it is criminal.
For example go find a 20 million supply coin that has the development this has and find the price.
The freemarket will rate this very high in the short and medium term, long term speaks for itself once the roadmap is complete.

Have you tried the Heroes Beta? It is pretty cool and I can see it will be popular with current gamers and us crypto gamers. I have took a quick look at the marketcap and you would be hard pressed to find a coin with this supply, without mentioning the Devs work. Needless to say with the work on rebirth the sky is the limit if we get great adoption.

Monero is only added to one darknet site that will end up going down and killing monero anyway. Just your everyday pump to the moon before the exit scam that will happen and leave happy bagholders. I don't really look far into any coin taking over Bitcoin, because I don't believe it lol

there is escrow or not?

Why would you use a escrow who may be anonymous and not just trust the dev who is upfront with his identity. Rhetorical question. The answer to you is, no escrow. Either trust the dev or don't.

Well, maybe use one of the escrows others have used for 1000's of BTC projects before on here who's identity is known?

That is not a rhetorical question.

I don't understand the use of the inherent safety people feel when using escrows. It makes no difference unless the escrow is done with a series of goals or benchmarks. For example, complete the following and then X number of bitcoins more are released so you can complete the next goal. Take a project like Waves for example which raised like 30k BTC. All they had to do was launch the network, which they did using an unmodified Scorex Framework which is stated by it's own developer is not meant to be used in a production environment but rather simply for testing. Regardless, because they were able to launch the network, here you go Waves team enjoy your 30k BTC to do whatever the fuck you want with it.

How did that provide any security for the investors? So when people ask "is there an escrow" all I can think is if that's the full length of your question then...  Roll Eyes

You are correct. There should be milestones for release of funds especially in 1000BTC +projects.

However, I guess even a release of a coin is better than nothing. Many devs dont release anything and just run with the funds.

You shouldn't make yourself look stupid and put this in any kind of shitty category your attempting too. If that is what you think, would you like a wager? I will bet you what I have invested here that they don't run with no funds. You know why I am sure? Because I spend hours researching and maybe you should before you post. Anyway find an escrow and I have 2btc to have a friendly wager with you if you like. and you lilbear, infact anyone that cries escrow when they don't have a dime to their name or invested shit. gtfo lol

I understand your frustration but give them a break. They don't want to bet, they just want to up their post count and show us all their pweety signatures. Thanks for looking out for us fellas but we are all grown boys here and we all know how to due diligence and we all feel safe investing in Chris. Check it all out and maybe you won't miss out Wink

If it is less than 200 Bitcoins, the ICO is canceled? Bitcoin return?

I think it probably won't be canceled. I feel like most people here will vote in favor of just going forward because a lot of us have at least checked out Apex and looked into Chris's past involvement in other projects... Maybe I'm giving people too much credit but I have and done my due dilligence and know I will definitely be voting for the project to go forward if it raises under 200.

Lets go Jewels!

The current price is so small I would vote for it to continue and just let the coins sit there until early next year. We have been made aware progress would be slower but I don't mind when you are paying a few hundred sat a coin. This is one of them bargains that rarely comes in crypto.
109  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin rose to $1M, what you do? on: August 29, 2016, 07:38:21 PM
$1million from $570, I'd sell atleast 5Bitcoin if it was todays climate and had the same spending power. That would buy a bigger home and I'd eb able to pass my current home to another family member, it would do alot for me. Let's face it we have bigger chance to hit $1 than $1m.

i listen and her voice tlk about jewels! jewels great project and maybe will have many partners like sexy lady?

When you was listening to that how did you hear a her voice? It was all men on the hangout. You're right Jewels has potential to make many different crypto partners in the near future and I have no doubt it will. So far I see a small partnership with C2 and that will probably grow as time goes on. All gaming coins should join and partner in some way, if one makes it mainstream they all get the extra exposure.

"her voice tlk" = "hear voice talking" (probably something like that)  Grin

That makes perfect sense now you have said it. "hear voice talk about Jewels", funny guy with his last remark Cheesy

112  Other / Archival / Re: Which one is better for bitcoin future? Mass adoption or huge price increase? on: August 28, 2016, 01:56:49 PM
From what I have seen so far while in Bitcoin, with big price increases that hit the news we get an influx of new investors/users. To answer your original question of course it's mass adoption that is better for Bitcoins future.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: August 28, 2016, 01:25:43 PM

All the things you could wish for and that is what you wish for lol So in short you would prefer a hacker to dump all over the market over someone holding through the rises? Me too, but I find it hard to believe he is a newb whale and you really shouldn't call anyone out for being newbie when you have no idea.

I believe he's indeed trying to hold the price down, getting more coins, or maybe trying to cut competition for other coins. There's no way you have that kind of money and put a buy wall like that even though there's not enough liquidity.

As long as there are no people with this kind of money ready to smash him we will stay at this price.

The thing that gets me is he has had them from the start, surly knowbody wants that amount of coin un liquid without good reason for this amount if time. Holding the price down, where is his bottom for accumulation is the question?

I have to say if he throws them walls up again and it gets eaten it would be epic, that is wishful thinking of course. Until we are seeing proper progress it will stay the same for the foreseeable future. I'm in no rush to buy more with profits.

crypto in general is such a grey area for gambling as we all know so lets not speculate and pretend we know all when we don't. there are many ways around it but i would like to leave that to the dev to decide and not hump the thread with speculation and opinions, especially if you're not invested.
smartcontracts is ONE avenue of many, lets wait for dev.
Are you advising that potential investors should not do due diligence on what they are investing in, whether it is legal, and whether the dev team has enough business acumen to avoid walking on a mine? And people should do due diligence after investing and not before? Are you serious? What is this thread for if not for investors to ask questions on matter they consider to be important? You don't have to agree but you don't have to interfere either. Legal matters are much more relevant to this ICO than the question of whether a Trojan-Trojan-Trojan would reincarnate in Trojan-Trojan-Archer or whatever that was, and which you didn't judge necessary to try to censor.

I was considering investing a large sum here including possibly direct equity investment but seeing how immature and trollish the future community appears to be, I am probably better off passing on that one.

I think it was clear he was saying you should all wait for the dev to answer any questions you have, I agree with that and I agree you should always DD. However, you are all coming across as trolling even if yours is on the more serious side. You are however trolling him.

Do you feel that you could help the team in creating smartcontracts on ETH? Do you feel that you can contribute and would want to help the team in anyway? You seem like you could possibly be a good asset to the team.

I am not experienced in smartcontracts, can you tell me is it not dangerous creating smartcontracts if you're not familiar with solaridty? I have in my mind the Deo disaster. So how would a smartcontract work on this project? I'm very interested.

Such a noob whale in LISK, Lol, funny to the core. Cheesy
Keeps all his LSK on polo, lmao

To be honest I wish for a polo hack at this point. He deserves to lose them all.

All the things you could wish for and that is what you wish for lol So in short you would prefer a hacker to dump all over the market over someone holding through the rises? 117  Other / Off-topic / Re: When was the first time you bought bitcoin? on: August 26, 2016, 09:19:16 AM
fo me about June 2016, When that Bitcoin has passed the threshold of $ 1,000. If earlier the better to know more Huh

For me it was around 2012. I don't understand, Bitcoin never reached $1000 this year. CAD sure yeah it did but not USD.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: August 26, 2016, 08:44:04 AM
The whales have done their magic again, some of the weak hands have lost it now the question is will they have another chance to buy back will their be another dump or will the price continue to rise and for how much.

Nothing goes up indefinitely, the question is whether the push can build a new and stronger floor.  There is along time left for development to kick in and show big progress so there will be many ups and downs with a nice amount of coins to be made and lost in between.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is stealing Bitcoin illegal? on: August 26, 2016, 08:33:11 AM
Obviously it is illegal.... really?
This is a grey area in the courts actually.
There was a files claim about someone who ruled that bitcoin is not valued the same as fiat so the case got thrown out of court against the person who said bitcoin was stolen from them. Lips sealed

Do you have any kind of link to this because in my country it would be classed as theft. It most definitely is illegal but in the end you have not gone out of your way to steal it, it just happened. After that the choice is yours, we all know it would be near impossible to prosecute anyway.

Are you investing and have you sent in your btc yet?

As I explained, I'm seating on the fence. I don't think the project will work with only 40BTC funding and it would be pointless to contribute unless I'm confident the project will have enough funding so my approach is wait and see. And I'm sure many potential investors think the same way, that's probably why the ICO doesn't progress much. Making the 200 BTC target a condition for the ICO to end removes the incentive to wait.

You have not done your due diligence then because the project will be going forward regardless of the amount of Bitcoin raised like has been said by the team. It will take longer but it will still be done regardless of the amount raised. The 200btc is to make the project move as fast as possible and hiring a team to make that happen. Sitting on the fence is fine as long as you have done your research before and you don't fomo at the end without researching pre hand. The target will be reached, I have been around for many ICO and the last days will be a very busy and exciting. I'd like to see a 200btc maximum tbh.
