101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Market is seasonal on: April 11, 2023, 05:32:58 AM
Last month my trade was great, I make some dooh but this month is cashloss experiment. I don't really understand the mystical magic behind the technological process of this trading as if someone or something is regulating the system. The system dash you small cash this week and collect big cash from you next week. Is not sweet to bear big loss than gain,  and this things happens anytime the market looks like bitcoin wants to boom.

I see that there is no complete expert trader, at a point everyone experience loss both robots. That's means the market is kind of seasonal, it can favor you today and hit you tomorrow.

While I cannot deny that suspicion of yours nor say that it's true since there is no concrete evidence to prove either speculation, I believe that it isn't something that can really beat up a good trader. Yes, losses are always present in trading but that doesn't mean that the frequency of losing vs winning trades cannot be influenced by the actual trader. If that were the case, no one would even think about trading.
The best way I know to save one's self from suffering too much losses is to be fully equipped with the proper knowledge or at least the basics when it comes to trading. And of course a good temperament along with a good amount of experience. With these, a trader can make lots of profits and minimal losses.

I mean, the guy was probably drowning in all of the miserable things happening that he couldn't think properly anymore. I really can't blame him despite how wrong he is.

~

I agree. Although using debt to invest is good if you know what you are doing, a rational investor would never invest borrowed money on any crypto even if it is Bitcoin. Even the majority of seasoned traders never invest in this kind of way (that is, if there are even veterans who consider doing this). It's sad that he would let his greed get the best of him and make him do irrational decisions, he must have been so hung up on the thoughts of what he gains that he disregarded all the red flags in his trading plan. If he does manage to get back up after this misfortune, I wish he'd really keep in mind what he has learned from this experience.
103  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which is more paying? on: April 09, 2023, 05:20:52 PM
A Bitcointalk forum or a White-Collar job?
~

Could be one way or the other really, since the both of them that are being compared have opportunities to offer. It just depends on the type of person you are asking. Like what their preferences are, resourcefulness, strengths, weaknesses and so much more. Since people have tons of differences, it would only depend on which type of job a person would be able to work at more efficiently and more comfortably while utilizing their own strengths and considering their own circumstances. Of course, this includes the preference for the amount of $$ being earned along with the services/products they can offer to an employer and the quality of these services/products.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Arb below 1$ on: April 09, 2023, 04:43:09 PM
Honestly, after reading about Arbitrum, I think it is a good investment. Although I don't think it is that good enough to choose over bitcoin or ethereum. The best approach would be to just buy some amount with your spare funds and just do cost averaging little by little when good opportunities to buy comes. At least it's a bit better than those countless shitcoins popping out of nowhere every now and then. Also, it would be wise to keep yourself updated about it so you don't end up sinking too deep by DCA-ing mindlessly. Good luck OP.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is your opinion on shikoku inu? on: April 09, 2023, 04:14:19 PM
I mean, if you're going to shill, at least put some more info about the token you are shilling about which saves the readers some time. Anyway, I'm not a hater of shitcoins since they do tend to give good profits if you know what you are doing. It's just that it would be quite sad if newbies get to see this post and makes wrong judgements just because of your post (although it would partly be their fault anyway).

But then again, maybe you're really just asking a question honestly. If so, then I suggest you get your hands off of shitcoins first or start up altcoins and focus more on stable coins instead to get a better feel about this industry without suffering much losses if you ever make wrong judgements. But if you really want to, then keep your investments at a minimum amount that is small enough to not make you regret investing even if you suffer losses. Good luck OP.
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Exchanges with trading apps for PC (Windows, macOS, Linux)? on: April 09, 2023, 03:29:27 PM
There are probably too few and won't be even worth the time to try since web versions still work fine right now. Even I don't use the Binance desktop app since I feel more comfortable with using my phone plus if there's really a need to use my pc to trade, the web version works well for me already. Maybe that's the reason why exchanges do not bother to, nor prioritize creating desktop exchange applications since there's not much of a need for it yet. They probably see it as an investment that isn't worth the resources needed.
It is because you are only using the phone app and have not tried the desktop app before. I too prefer to use phone to trade but I also use laptop for it, especially when I want to get far from the screen as my laptop is almost all the time connected to the TV in my room.

If you have a desktop or laptop, you can try and use both the website and also use the desktop app and see how different they are and how better it is on the desktop app. I have used the three before and I prefer just the mobile and desktop app than the web.

Although, I can say that preference also matters.

Yup, have already tried it several times since it is much easier to do technical analysis on a desktop. I only use the web version on desktop whenever I am at home and using tradingview and checking charts. But if not or if not much analyzing is needed, I only use my mobile phone. Now having been able to try the app for myself, it's good but not something that I totally need at the moment. Like you said, it may be a matter of preference and the type of utilities that a user is looking for. Like if someone just wants to do simple and fast trading, the web browser would suffice but if someone wants to utilize more of Binance's features then I guess the app would be a better choice.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory using AI on: April 09, 2023, 02:56:18 PM
Man, I don't know about you guys but this AI of ChatGPT kinda crreps me out with this response. The way the message is being delivered, it's like you're really getting answers from a real person! But then again, AIs that give good reasoning never fails to creep me out, lol. The contents of this AI's response to OP though is probably something that a lot of us has already been speculating, and even we don't trust our own deductions that much, haha. Anyway, a great response for an AI but not something that I or anyone rational enough would bank on.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 09, 2023, 02:35:48 PM
This is really painful to read, sigh. I can only imagine the things that were and are still going through his mind right now. I bet he already racked up his brains hundreds if not thousands of times already just to find a solution or a way out of his mistake but just couldn't find any which has led him to his decision of unaliving himself. All those hopes and dreams that never happened and instead got replaced with unbearable feelings of guilt, regrets and so much more. Even I don't think I'd be able to have the courage to keep on living if I had made such a mistake. I wish he finds the strength to go on living. Sigh, such a young man. I hope this news would be spread more so that a lot of people would be able to learn from this guy's experience and be more careful with their investment plans.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 09, 2023, 02:16:51 PM
I see how some newbies are complaining about not having enough money to invest in Bitcoin, some times not having money is a blessing in the crypto space, if I had money years ago when I knew about crypto I would have made all the possible mistakes in the book, and that would have cost me a lot.

I had no access to money when I knew about Bitcoin, I had the desire to acquire many Bitcoin but I have no way, instead of moving on with my life I kept myself busy, reading and reading about Bitcoin, installed my first Bitcoin wallet on a Pentium 4 PC, I knew about Proof of work, I tried mining for the first time using a dual-core PC ( second PC ), if I have enough money to invest I wouldn't have had time for all this learning.

I got so calm, because what is there to rush about? I have no money anyways, since that time learning became my first priority.

If you don't have the money yet, maybe because you are jobless or still in school, do not let that be the reason to be out of Bitcoin, there is more you can learn that will help you in your crypto journey.

Money is coming, but be prepared by learning about Bitcoin, you will be in safer hands with the knowledge you would have acquired.

Congrats and way to go for finding the best path for you at the tough times of your life, you deserve every win you have achieved up to this moment. It is great that you are sharing your experience and thoughts to help out others which is truly appreciated.

One thing to make clear though so as to not confuse newbies that my come across this post of yours is that the drive for learning about something has many reasons or triggers and one's financial status is only one of the many out there. Regardless of one's financial status, one should always strive for new knowledge and self-improvement rather than letting one's self be stagnant.

So, to the newbies out there if you somehow stumble upon this, keep in mind that you should not look for justifications or reasons just to learn about something new or improve your current knowledge about something (not just about bitcoin or any crypto currency). Instead, be hungry for more self-improvement.

If you do this, I promise you that all the good things that would come along the wisdom that you have built up over time will serve as the best justification for all that effort.

-Great post OP.
110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The rise of Yuan & USD becoming on the verge of becoming a Shitcoin. on: April 08, 2023, 01:11:02 PM
I mean, looking at the way USD has been over the years, no one can really blame the majority that is thinking that USD is slowly sinking on a downward spiral. And thinking about the aftereffects it may have on the whole world economically (if it really does fail even more and become a shitcoin), is making a lot of people panic already. While the level varies from person to person, it is an undeniable fact that anyone that is aware cannot easily ignore this. Which is why some people are already preparing themselves for the possibilities. Which in my opinion is a good thing whether we reach that point or not.

Right now, when everyone is busy pointing fingers, it doesn't really matter that much anymore whose fault it is or whose sins are heavier than the other. What's important right now would be for the leaders to set aside their own greed, egos or whatever selfish reasons they may have for refusing to unite. The leaders must take the first step and for the first time focus on putting the well-being of the people above anything else. Because if not, things will only get worse from this point on, and I guarantee that regardless of the winner, it is the whole world that would suffer, and no one will be safe from the result of all these foolishness.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you love and enjoy taking risk? on: April 08, 2023, 12:30:53 PM
Some months a go, I was thinking altcoins may favour me since bitcoin is still unpredictable. I decided to invest my last cash at hand on luno, Eth, buying babe doggy, peg token and tron. I don't really understand how this things works when I bought it was all gloomy without bitcoin but in less than a week my money dried up.

What future do we really hope for altcoins without bitcoin?

Damn, I think you need to try and research more about this industry to broaden your understanding about it first before you even think about investing again. Clearly, altcoins are more unpredictable compared to Bitcoin and newer the altcoin is, the more unpredictable and dangerous it is to invest in.

I don't think there's a sense of hoping for a future for altcoins when bitcoin is gone. Bitcoin has already gotten too strong to die out that easily, and if it does happen, then that would mean that this whole industry would take such a huge hit and might not recover.

But forget about the future of altcoins without bitcoin or any other speculations. I advise you to read more first about this industry and how things work around here, get a better feel about what you are getting yourself into. Save yourself from headaches, don't mindlessly throw you funds away. Although experience is priceless, it's not worth the price when there could have been better workarounds. Hope you take this advice seriously. I would've been so thankful had I gotten such advice back then when I was just starting out. lol
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking through mobile phone on: April 08, 2023, 10:15:25 AM
First thing I would want to know is if you are in some kind of a rush and have a need to really stake your holdings. If so, then a little risk wouldn't hurt, just never forget to take proper measures to ensure that you are being cautious enough with how you use your phone to stake. Would even be better if you have an extra phone that is mainly used on crypto or crypto wallet related stuff. And about wallets and platforms, read on at least a few of them first to find the ones that would suit your taste or would make you feel the most comfort on using.

Now, if it really isn't that urgent, then I suggest you take a time off of your crypto and focus on things other than your holdings. It won't hurt to take breaks if circumstances makes it difficult for you to engage on your cypto related stuff. Plus, you wouldn't have to take unnecessary risks that could endanger your crypto holdings. Well, whichever you decide to do, hope you don't lose anything and gain more instead, good luck.

114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is buying BTC now, the best option ??? on: April 08, 2023, 09:03:26 AM
Buying Bitcoin every time you have the extra funds is the BEST OPTION! lol. Seriously though, this strategy works like magic. Just don't go investing amounts that you cannot afford to lose or funds that are already needed for some necessities. Trust me, this method gives less headaches and good profits over time, no need for stressing yourself out with trends, strategies/trade plans, technical analysis etc., etc. That is, if you aren't a day trader. If you are, then it would be best to depend on your own trading plans and technical analysis.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: If the dollar was worthless! on: April 08, 2023, 03:24:59 AM
Great answer, but what if all other fiat currency went to shit aswell?

Then Bitcoin or any other crypto currency by then would probably have too little to no value at all. People who still owns them would only probably see them as collectibles that hold historical value because having such a scenario happen would mean that the whole world is already on its worse state. Meaning, the only thing that would probably be used to get services, things or food would be trading for whatever each party needs, like basic necessities, services or whatever. And if ever, people would rather utilize gold, silver and any other valuable natural resources more rather than crypto.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 08, 2023, 02:24:11 AM
Most persons purchase  most items using Bitcoin transactions I am of the opinion of hodling instead of spending pls is that a positive mindset?

I think you mean most crypto currency holders? Even then, I don't think we can say that most of the crypto currency holders prioritize spending their crypto holdings as payment in most of the things or services they need, I believe it's the opposite. Most of the people in this industry, regardless of financial status hoard crypto currencies as much as they can, especially Bitcoin. Although hoarding isn't ideal for this industry, it is what the majority opts for since there is a huge chance for profits depending on the type of crypto currency being held, and the higher the potential of the coin, the more likely it is that a person would hoard it most especially Bitcoin.

So don't go stressing about having that kind of mindset bro, you're not alone. Heck, even I am guilty of having such a mindset! lol. Still though, if convenient or if you think you already have quite a good amount of crypto, I still think that one should also spend them every once in a while, not only for self-satisfaction but to also contribute to the mass adoption that this industry desperately needs. Anyway, hope that this manages to shake off most of your worries about this kind of mindset bro.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 05, 2023, 12:47:40 PM
Should newbie traders be only concerned about making profit? I do not think so.

I feel that every newbie trader should first be concerned about fully understanding trading regardless of if they make profit or not at the beginning of their trading life. A newbie trader who enjoys profits mostly during his early life as a trader may be misled to begin to think that he has cracked the code to trading and will continue making profits. Newbie traders who experience some kind of losses at the early stage of their life but still continue in trading know better how trading can be, and because of the early experience that they have had, they are at a position of becoming much better traders than those that enjoyed easy profit at the beginning which can be misleading. What do you think, let us discuss?

I agree with you but wins are also as important as experiencing losses. Those two go hand in hand to make a person motivated while at the same time tempered well when it comes to trading. Lacking too much in any one of the two would only end up becoming detrimental in the future for a trader. Since it will most likely result in indecisiveness due to lack of confidence or too much of it.

So really, as a beginner, in times of bad trades, one should focus on the lessons and not on the losses. On the good ones, celebrate the small wins but don't get too full of one's self and over trade. One must stick to the trading plans and respect the market to know which strategies work and which ones needs to be changed. Because if not, the market will kick cocky traders right in the face and gain back that respect one way or another.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: When you're so inlove with BTC on: April 05, 2023, 10:21:29 AM
What a good laugh. Man, I tell you, I really do feel you! I've been feeling and doing the same things as well. despite knowing better. Haha it is quite easy to tell friends and family to never fall in love with any coin on the crypto industry but damn! It's almost impossible to follow our own advice! and there are even times when we feel like following the steps of the captain of titanic and sink along with the ship! Goodness! Still though, this is what makes being in this industry really interesting and fun. As long as this industry doesn't die, I'm staying for the rest of my life! xD
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Going to war means let's ulter the economic progression on: April 05, 2023, 10:01:53 AM
Isn't it just sad that when you think about it, most of the reasons for war are simple and can easily be prevented but at the same time is also too difficult to stop? I mean, lower your ego, don't be too greedy, proving superiority over others isn't what the world needs right now, do not distinguish between allied and enemy countries when helping those in need, etc,. etc. There are things that can be done to stop all this madness but at the same time also impossible due to the stubborn human nature that most of the people can't control well especially those that are drunk on power and deluded principles or false/wrong planted patriotism. For simple people like us, we can only accept the reality of how unfixable this world has become already. Sigh, I pity the future generations, I really do.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimate (simple) guide on when to buy Bitcoin. on: April 05, 2023, 09:17:17 AM
There sure are tons of techniques out there that different kinds of people use nowadays in order to decide when truly is the right time to buy bitcoin. What it all comes down to is personal preference be it due to time, budget or whatever. For me though, when it comes to my portfolio for long term hoodling, regardless of the type of coin it, I only buy them with my extra money or with the extra profits from winning spot or futures trades. I don't over buy with every opportunity I have. I do this for the sole purpose of having peace of mind. I already have the short term and mid term trades to worry about. Not to mention occasional futures trades and hedging. lol
