81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin was to be physical product? on: April 23, 2023, 04:09:12 AM
Let me say, when the first time you heard about bitcoin, you begins to wonder what is it all about and finally you gets to see it as physical product like lands, cars, gold or diamonds that's instances. This products also people invest in it but not everybody probably the rich, I believe many people won't have had the money to buy bitcoin or even put interest even if you have the money.

People love privacy in business and bitcoin is one profound individuals investment business with the public necessary sees your progress. Physical business attracts enemies, hatred, criminals, stress and energy, even witchcrafts (enemies of progress). But bitcoin is cool private investment nobody knows what's going on, on your devices only you. That in many ways bitcoin is more advantageous to other business investments with lots of benefits, this is more reason why it should be encourage to be accepted as a global digital assets. Would you have involved if bitcoin is a physical product?

Had Bitcoin been in a physical form, then it would probably have a lot more owners than how much people own Bitcoin today since people feel more at ease with investing on things that they can actually see or physically touch. That is to say, if the physical Bitcoin we are talking about is still able to fully offer the same utility it has today as a virtual asset when on its physical form. If not, then it would hardly be able to gather a couple of eyes to even take a look at it. Remember that the main reason why we all are drawn into this industry is because of what Bitcoin and most of the good utility coins in this industry has to offer to us investors. And a physical form of Bitcoin just can't offer such utility. Hence, Bitcoin as a physical product is a big no for me.
82  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Getting Educated on: April 23, 2023, 03:50:13 AM
~

Life is a never-ending education process; we always learn something new voluntarily or involuntarily. The only difference is that if we decide to voluntarily look for more knowledge to acquire, we tend to gain more and excel more than others that don't. The laws of this world, this universe and our entire existence in my opinion have invisible threads that binds them to each other creating an unending system/process that is still incomprehensible for the human mind. Although there are some that we may not have been able to discover yet and others that we already have a glimpse in but still have flaws in terms of theory and application, I believe that all of them are very significant for every living being and the progress of humankind.

And for a single person, simply being aware or knowing about these laws won't suffice if that person is chasing for success or improving one's way of life. The thing that a person also needs and is vital to one's betterment which is often disregarded or ignored is the acquisition of wisdom which is the ability to discern the proper way to use all the knowledge that one has. Being knowledgeable about all of these laws but not being able to properly utilize them to one's advantage is the same as having no knowledge about all of these at all.

And which better way is there to acquire wisdom than having tons of trial and errors then experiencing the success and failures firsthand?

There is no better teacher than life itself, and educators should always follow its example; to not just focus on feeding their students/apprentices knowledge but also impart wisdom on them. And to a person seeking to excel in one's chosen fields of interests and endeavors, one should not be satisfied with the things being spoon-fed but instead strive for more to get the most out of one's efforts in life.

- What a nice topic to ponder and discuss about.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: April 23, 2023, 02:56:50 AM
Sounds like you are hodling these for a bit of a longer term than the rest. What makes you not want to sell in the short term for quick profits?

Yup. I have indeed been holding these coins for quite a while now while having held vet even longer than the rest of them. The reason is simple, it's because I like them coins enough to keep DCA-ing on them and not chase quick profits when it isn't necessary. These times are times of accumulation. The longer you stay in this industry, the more you'll
be able to understand what I mean fundamentally. Also, my secret for not panicking or getting over excited when the price moves up and down is due to not over investing, and I make sure that I invest only because the coin is good enough for my standards after looking into them and not just because of bull runs or overexaggerated hype.
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your take on the pump coming? on: April 19, 2023, 02:52:59 PM
I sense that very soon the pump will start to shame all those folks who feel btc is failed project. We are expecting the bullish price to pump 60k straight up even against all odds. Those who are well position for the market can see the evidence this night is already 30k plus. I can only believe that bitcoin will do better than ever, though not withstanding we should invest wisely while waiting the pump.

If my plans works out am ready to buy more and store! But what's your take on the pump? Do you see it coming or am just doing illusion?
Let's hear from you.

Don't fall in love with any investment in this industry. Always stick to your trading plan and don't get swayed by the shilling and hype you see online. Also, 60k might be a little too far to reach at the moment. We need something big to fuel such high pump if it were to happen in a short amount of time. I also believe that bitcoin will do better but not up to an unrealistic point.

Well, if it doesn't go below 28k I think we are still good for an upward movement. And since some good events are coming, I am expecting a good things for Bitcoin. Still though stay cautious and never go all in. Always reserve some extra funds for better opportunities to buy if dips happen.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: Bans on crypto now looks like a joke on: April 19, 2023, 02:34:40 PM
Which country between these two would you rather see welcoming crypto and fully embracing Bitcoin? China? The United States?

I read an article that says that upon the ban of Cryptocurrencies in China over 30 million Chinese are using Crypto in the country.

At this point in Bitcoin and crypto life, Ban is no more an issue it seems, what do you think about this? It's like saying a country ban VPNs where as you can bypass any country's FireWall.

Banning crypto is no more effective on crypto itself, it's now more like a pure joke, I would still like to see the U.S embrace crypto more than China, just my own answer to my question, what about you?

I am actually more leaned on China embracing Bitcoin rather than the US. This is because in the past a lot of Chinese really took crypto seriously and when bans happened some even migrated to other countries that were more tolerant towards crypto currencies. And besides, population of China is no joke either, if ever those people really get into crypto, I believe that there would be a huge movement in this industry with regards to volume. Not just on bitcoin but to all the other crypto currencies they get their sights on.

And about crypto banning, it really doesn't hold that much weight anymore compared to the past since it has been approved and lifted lots of times already. People also realised that regardless of the ban, most hodlers would never dump which is why despite bad news people tend to hold onto their bitcoins more nowadays.
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading have concepts on: April 19, 2023, 02:15:49 PM
Emotions part is very true, it is not easy to keep your emotions in check that quickly, it may take some time to make a profit when the time comes because you are worried or fearing or happy or excited or whatever else. You may make mistakes if you think with your heart and not with your brain, a lot of people make that mistake and that causes them to have a trouble in the future.

-That is why the advice "Do not make decisions when you are too happy or too angry" or "Do not make decisions when you are overwhelmed with emotions." This is because our emotions influence our moods and minds greatly depending on the situation. Thus, making our decisions clouded in moments when we are too happy or too angry which almost never gives good results.

Quote
It is going to take some time before we can master trading, but if we can master not using our emotions as our first step then the rest will come easier. Sure you need to learn TA, or need to learn how to read a chart, or many other million things, but if you can't control your emotions then all the other stuff means nothing at all.

-Which is why gaining actual experience is also very important in education or learning. Having both the knowledge and experience will massively help a person grow not just as a trader but in a lot of aspects in life compared to having or focusing on just one of the two.
87  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Madness of many! on: April 19, 2023, 01:59:23 PM
I mean, that's just how this world works. The one who has more influence and money is the more powerful one. Which is why it never fails to feed the greed of most people. Influence and money really makes several politicians want to sit on the highest position they can get and never let go of it. While there are others that are truly concerned for the people, they don't get to high positions that much since they would have to disregard some of their morals just to get some sponsors on their political campaigns even if it means getting it through illegal means or from syndicates or high profile criminals. It may sound like something out of a movie but it really does happen in real life.

It's just sad to think that the very few politicians that have good intentions for the people either aren't given the opportunity to really serve the people or get corrupted by the environment they compete and become the same as the people that they used to really hate. sigh...
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: April 19, 2023, 01:20:25 PM
Hello, with Hong Kong looking to lift ban on crypto in a few months June 1st 2023. Could we see huge gains coming from the next bull market from the following coins: Filecoin (FIL), VeChain (VET), Neo (NEO) and Conflux (CFX).

What are your thoughts?

I ain't gon tell you to buy, instead I'm telling you that I bought quite a few and currently thinking if I should buy a bit more to balance the amount on all these except VET which I had bought way before the others mentioned. I Didn't spend a lot of capital on the rest of these coins though, just a small enough amount to make me smile when I get profits and frown a little when I suffer a loss, lol. Besides, these coins ain't that bad compared to most shitcoins out there anyway so I'm quite satisfied with this investment. Bull run or not, I can store them away and forget about them anyway so all good. xD
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 19, 2023, 12:59:02 PM
Hi,

I’m looking to invest 10k, I’m trying to decide if to go with XRP or ADA.

In terms of holding I can do it for 1-3 years no real time limit. Not sure what returns I might get short term vs long term. ADA for example i might get 3 to 4 x return, however with XRP that might be a lot more should they win the court case.

My slight worry is what happens if XRP lose.

P

It would have been nice though if you had mentioned whether this 10k you're talking about is the entirety of what you can invest or only a part of it because it would help people who wants to give advice to better understand your situation and give better advice.

If by chance, that 10k is the entirety of what you can invest at the moment, then it would be wise to divide it between several reputable coins that you like. That is, if you still don't have other coins on your portfolio.

Now if that 10k is only a part of the funds you have available for investing, then it would be best if you think about it more whether you really want to choose only one between the two or if you can compromise and assign portions on both coins. Doesn't matter which you decide to put in more, you just have to make sure that you are well informed about the state of each coin, like issues, developers, new updates etc., etc. So that you can make better decisions.

Good luck OP.
90  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 19, 2023, 12:33:41 PM
After the price rise over $30k there was an assumption that the market would turn lower again and we saw a continuation below $29k. But there was no reason to worry. From 29K it is again in bullish trend as before. BTC is currently trading at $30,224. If we take a look at a price chart over the past seven days, BTC is down 0.01 percent and the 14-day price chart is now up 7.3 percent. Various predictors are bullish on Bitcoin and believe that it will be able to overcome the $31k price in the next few days. Currently, there is strong support zone at $28k, so even if the market corrects, there is no possibility of going down much.

Indeed. But despite my confidence about my position, I am still being wary right now. I even updated my notifications just to get alerts when prices reach near my red zones so that I can prepare counter measures. I already learnt my lesson last time. Sometimes the prices moves so fast that you can't even finish transferring funds to buy or sell whenever it starts to go up or down in price. Losing money and missing out on profit opportunity really feels like crap especially when you know you could've done something. Although there's some on the exchange, it isn't that much since I only store a small amount of usdt on exchanges.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin price control by human agents or electronic technology? on: April 19, 2023, 12:06:06 PM
Please am trying to understand how the systems work that's why I need more clarification from you. I watch this cryptocurrency prices going up and down the axis but often times I ask myself outside the fact that when people made withdrawal it affects the price going down and when people invest high capitals it increases the price automatically but is there some kind regulators like human agents or electronic technology who always do the regulatory price actions especially when trading bitcoin? Or is totally program that way? Only your views please.

Up to now, there are only speculations on whether there really is someone, an organization or whatever group of people behind the movement of crypto prices. While it has a possibility, we are yet to find any proof about this. On small cap coins though, there can be manipulation but on huge coins specially bitcoin it would be really difficult if the person or the group of people don't have a huge amount of capital to use in manipulating prices. Hence, we can only conclude for now that the holders and traders are the ones responsible for the price movements of the price of bitcoin.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: April 18, 2023, 03:46:35 PM
I'm actually not that worried about the price of bitcoin nowadays since I don't day trade. Plus, the bearishness is only at a short time frame. Even at this moment the movement direction of bitcoin is looking good. I even believe that we are slowly going in an uptrend. Still though, I keep extra funds just in case something unpredictable happens in the economy again that affects bitcoin. I'd have to DCA again. What interests me right now though is how bitcoin will move till the 3rd and 4th quarter of this year. Depending on the direction I might have to go from long term to short term or day trading and only leave a part of my holdings on hodling state.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: How do feels losing money? on: April 18, 2023, 02:40:34 PM
Some days looks like a curse day, I wanted to keep it to myself but I felt it more reasonable to share. I involved in some business investment which initially the promise was really good after week of deal, I just back from work, I saw a call from my colleague we did the business together and I call back to hear him crying on phone. That the business we involved into is fake and the office is close, the MD has disappeared, for two minutes I was shivering with sweat because that's the highest amount I have involved business so far. Am regretting to have used in bitcoin by now I would have be on advantage with bullish price.

I have not gotten myself this days. Do you feel down when such sudden hits happens to you?

That feeling naturally feels like crap. I mean, who would be jumping with joy when you lost your investment? lol. But don't ponder about it so much though, instead think about the decisions the led you to that point. Learn as much as you can from that experience to avoid experiencing that crappy feeling ever again.

On a side note though, at least it was a decision to invest and you already expected at least a few losses if some things were to go wrong (although you actually lost all of it. lol). But if you ever get to experience getting all your crypto wallets hacked clean in front of your very eyes as it happens, you'd probably think that what felt about that failed investment is nothing. The despair is on a whole new level. lol

P.S. I'm not making fun of you, just trying to lighten up your mood with some jokes. Don't feel so down about it anymore since there's nothing you can do to change the past. What you can do now though is take what you've learnt from that incident with you in your future investment plans. Don't let this experience discourage you to a point that it would stop you from investing. Keep on investing! (more intelligently this time xD)
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block 785,389: This block was mined by a zero emission bitcoin mining computer on: April 18, 2023, 02:20:40 PM
It's really funny if you think about it, people point fingers to things they do not favor but can't see their own dirt. I mean, all the people saying bitcoin mining hurts mother earth or are saying that people on this industry trying to be as environment friendly as possible when mining Bitcoin is futile and is of no significance at all aren't even any better since they too hurt the environment with the businesses they have or by the products they use. If we look at it, both parties are almost the same if not entirely. I think these influential people pointing fingers at Bitcoin mining doesn't care that much about the environment but instead has their own selfish reasons as to why they want to prevent or slow the mass adoption of crypto as much as they can.
95  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Starship about to take flight! on: April 18, 2023, 01:56:45 PM
I got kinda disappointed thinking I was too late and would only have to watch a recording but then when I checked, it says it's still about to go live in about 47 hours. Which should have given me a sigh of relief but oddly enough, I got disappointed again that it still hasn't launched yet haha. I'm excited though, since I really am a fan of his work and dedication when it comes to this field. Can't say the same thing on other things he does though. I guess it's good that along with his genius he still has a sense of humor at least? xD
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 18, 2023, 01:13:59 PM
Well, if we're only talking about the potential profit percentage here, then it would be a better choice to pick ethereum. Still though, I prefer keeping equal amounts of investment on both Ethereum and Bitcoin along with some reputable altcoins in the market for mid to long-term holding. But of course, Ethereum and Bitcoin are still my top priority. And if I really want some good profits faster, I go for shitcoins. Investing amounts that I can afford to lose. Don't invest blindly though! Always study about what you are investing in even if it's only on shitcoins because even if it is an amount you can afford to lose, a loss is still a loss.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HK envisions a positive outlook for cryptos, especially altcoins ? on: April 18, 2023, 12:37:02 PM
~

Every good news that is related to this industry will naturally affect the entirety of this industry positively. The only difference would be how big the effects would be which would then be dependent on the type of news and how large its scale is. And with this one, I don't think the scale is that big to actually affect the price of altcoins massively. Although, I can say that this, in terms of attracting audiences from HK and possibly in other places as well if it is ever broadcasted by the media in some world news (which I kinda doubt) is great.

But that doesn't mean that it wouldn't affect the price of altcoins positively. It's just that it would take a bit longer than how fast we actually hope for it to happen. And that's okay, I mean I even think it's for the best since it gives us more time improve the current services that the projects provide in this industry to its users and investors. Not to mention that it also gives us more time to accumulate more coins that we like at a cheaper price.
98  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading have concepts on: April 18, 2023, 11:59:32 AM
I tried to figure out that in trading the concept are not only in one aspect but it's base on your description of understanding trading, many more follows people methods of trading to arrive to same point, one thing I noticed in trading is that it's a skill that every one is up to have base on it discovery step to make it own profits. And I trading some of us causes the problem that arises during course of lost, greediness and anticipation of making more profit is the major caused of losing in trading. Three days ago I was with friends where we are blaming each other because  of mistakes, we contributed money to invest into crude oil business, the first supply of crude oil the company we supply to, we made a good profit and second supply we made a higher profit, for second supply I suggested that we should remove our capitals and move on with our profit we made, but two of my friends insisted that we are going to buy more of the products with all the money I agreed with them for the third supply, on our way going we were diverted by hoodlums and chased out on the vehicle, till date we don't were products is. Its when my friend's realize that greediness is a disease and its a higher risky.

The title is quite confusing when you actually read the post body. But regardless, the point was conveyed well enough to be understood, cut the op some slack.

It is quite nice of you to share your experience and thoughts which would be beneficial for newbie traders.

Now for op, trading have concepts. Yes they do, and a lot at that. While one aspect may work great for one person, it may not work as well for the other. Just think of it as a shoe, there's no size that would fit everyone. There will always be bigger and smaller feet. And there's also the design preference and what the intended use would be for the shoe like is it for running, for playing sports etc., etc. I think you get my point.

So as a trader, it is always better to find the best techniques that would perfectly fit your personality and trading style. Glance at other techniques, but don't copy everything, just take whatever compliments your style better.

And in regards with the decision making, you really couldn't have done anything since it is an investment of you and your friends so the majority would of course be the one to decide what would be done with the funds. Just be glad that you and your friends were able to learn something from the experience and are still alive to talk about it.

Another advice would be if you are investing, keep it professional and avoid factors that would affect your decision making emotionally. While it is good to invest along with your friends or family, it would be better to keep the amount only up to a minimum which you can easily brush off if ever lost. This will not only save your funds but will also save your relationship with them. If you really have to, then be picky and only do it with the ones you really trust and you know are well versed in doing such investments.
Good luck bro.
99  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price trajectory using AI on: April 18, 2023, 10:08:51 AM
~

Yup, computer programming really isn't my forte, so things like this really surprises me quite a lot.
And as I've said, the AI's response to OP is probably something that a lot of us has already been speculating, and even we don't trust our own deductions that much. Although a great response (because it's humanlike) for an AI but not something that I or anyone rational enough would bank on.

~

I looked it up just now and damn, it made me remember all those sci-fi movies talking about AI's taking over the world lol. Too bad though, that as what you've said, only the version that OP was talking about is available to use for free while the updated versions needs to be bought/paid for. Would've been a fun thing to try lol.

I can only imagine how awesome it would be to try the updated version of this that's equipped with the latest knowledge that is open for the public on the internet.
