Lots of alt coins are still losing value throughout this month.  I wonder what the reason is :-/

I have been working on Saturncoin and Tagcoin today. I am intrigued by the upcoming transition from SAT to SAT2 on the 30th of June.  I will be moving house next weekend.  I have continued to work, write, research, pack, clean....  I need a break lol
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TagCoin - The World's First Rewards Coin on: June 22, 2014, 11:24:51 PM
I have finally read through this entire 135 page thread.  I have gained a lot of points to include in the book.  One thing that has surprised me is how the activity within this thread has suddenly declined over the last two months.  I hope people read my comment here.
1007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: June 22, 2014, 02:23:23 PM
We would suggest that the HISTORY section be left aligned instead of centered.  Can prose really be centered?

Thank you for your input.  I will make the pages more presentable once I have completed all the sections.  It is better to improve the format after I have all the information typed up.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency "The Alt-ernative" Beginners Reference Book on: June 17, 2014, 12:13:16 AM
OP, its funny that you list ybcoin (an exact clone of YAC, though they haven't been keeping up) or any other scrypt N coin instead of the original which is Yacoin.

Any serious reference work should certainly document the originator of Scrypt N and SHA3.

Which 10 coins would you choose? Wink
1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CRYPT] CryptCoin x11 + PoS | P2P Anonymity | 0% Premine | Pro Dev on: June 16, 2014, 11:26:18 AM
such a tricky position  Huh Huh volume has been quite low over the past few hours hovering around 40k.. i'm stuck as to go in now in hopes that it'll have a rally or going in now and get caught as it goes to 30k, anyone with advice?

edit: i did fight the urge to go after it around 45/47k which was a good move in hindsight

It really depends on where the market wants to take Crypt. US is waking up and they may start buying again.
In addition, there are rumors that some news from the Dev team may be released today. If the news is good, you can expect to see a push toward 0.00075+. Looking at the charts, it looks like the market may try for 0.00050 again. If they can break through, it will head towards 0.001. I've been buying since 0.00017, but I just bought more coins a little while ago for 0.00041. Just keep in mind that if the dev team delivers on the anon feature, this price will be a distant memory as the coin rockets to the sky. If Crypt comes through with real anon transfers, we will beat DRK's all time high.

Whatever Darkcoin has achieved, Cryptcoin can also Cheesy

Hold those coins guys! You won't be disappointed.  Cool

Very true after what I have been reading today Cheesy

I love working on my project.  It might not look professional at the moment but time will tell. Besides this I have not posted every page I have written, so am further ahead than this thread portrays. Have a nice day Tongue

Saturncoin will look similar to this.  Coin specifications, history, exchanges and other miscellaneous details will be included.  Please help fund the publication of this book which I plan to publish this summer.

Cool stuff! Sounds like an interesting project. You have our support Smiley

Just a thought: maybe you should consider using a format that's easier to update than a (e)book. Development in altcoins progresses so fast.. it'll probably need frequent updates. Maybe use a CMS which can compile an updated PDF on the fly?

Good luck!
I will worry about the publishing of the book until I have gathered all the information together.  Thank you for your support.  I have just started to read through the SAT bitcointalk threads (I am aware of two official thread.  Please say if there are more than 2)  I plan to publish the book this summer with enough funding behind it.

Qubitcoin has a very interesting history.  I will spend tonight writing the Q2C section.  I am also going to start further research on Saturncoin.

CRYPTOCURRENCY "THE ALT-ERNATIVE" REFERENCE BOOK

I am in the process of writing the preliminary pages for Qubit Q2C/Qbit.  I need help from the Qubit Community in order fully complete it.  Historical points since the 12th January are required.  I want important points included.  Any further suggestions are welcome.  Please consider donating towards the future publication of the book.  I expect it to be published in the summer.

A brief note here:  (Let me know the style of content required)

Qubit Q2C was conceived as a currency with a Novel Agorithm :  5 hashes, with a different combination from any other Cryptocurrency.

The logo, a cube showing the ticker hash Q2C , represented the coin's name in simple graphical form, easily recognised at any resolution, from a tiny favicon.

The smooth functioning of the network, the algorithm, and fast transactions soon drew a good following.

The original developer, Krecu,  stated that he was a Ukranian national. A short while after the start of the 2014 Ukraine troubles, he stopped posting, and was not replying to messages.

Q2C continued to function well, and follows its planned trajectory. Anyone who tried using the wallet was impressed with the speed and smoothness of transactions.

Thank you. I have spent nearly all day reading through the thread.  I have now read all 213 pages.  I am now in a position to write the Qubit section.  Is there anymore information which I could include?

Guys, I have an idea.
What if, make a site with a very popular game "2048"? (http://gabrielecirulli.github.io/2048/)
And winning payouts will be in Q2C. I think Qubits best suited for this.
Who can make this? It will be a success! Very good promotion. Smiley

Is this game available now?

On which date did GPU mining for this coin become possible?

How come Pandacoin (PND) is not on that list?

PND was not requested at the time of the vote before the 16th of March.  Sorry Sad

Are the dates in the table correct? I thought the block reward halved approx every 3 weeks. On the forum, however, the block rewards seem to halve on different dates. If they are incorrect in the table, can someone please say when the block reward halved each time.
