1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: October 03, 2014, 02:05:34 AM
Reminds me of the old John D. Rockefeller quote (slightly modified):

Somebody asked me today, "How much UNO is necessary to make a man happy?"

I said, "The answer is always the same, just one more UNO."

It really makes one wonder if there are forces at work to lower the price of BTC so that someone can consolidate it. Much like the gold market is being manipulated so that the Chinese can load up at a very reasonable price so as to back the yuan...

But for what reason to manipulate BTC?
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: October 03, 2014, 01:10:07 AM
@ FK, one more text -- 'brief stats' -- coming to you shortly. Please instruct me further as you see fit.

@ Drunken Sailors: well, the crypto ocean is red to the horizon (Btc is a buck under the April price!); but we are . . . storing value. It's a good feeling.

Drunken sailors or not, might as well buy UNO, it's at least as good as holding Francs, Euros, Dollars, Yuan, Rubles, Cordobas, etc.

Pick your Peso! Oops, I mean poison!

Wth! You guys get paid today or something? You're acting like drunken sailors in a brothel! It ALL looks good to you.  Grin
YOLO

guys, you'll crash it. Let us trade a bit in the 5-range before pushing through maybe? Don't go too hard.

If you push i'll give a bit support but we can also keep trading in 5 for a bit. Maybe shake and bake a bit more Wink

I don't know that some of us are trading it. I think there's some people that are just buying...trading involves a sell...

 Cool

BTW A little over 1 BTC will send that thing securely into the land of 6
1026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: October 02, 2014, 10:24:47 PM
This is gonna get ugly upwards.

More likely get ugly downward faster.

Don't forget many traders are using leverage to buy and hold onto the price. As soon as the dam breaks, hell will break lose.

I absolutely agree. The market will now have a 30-40 day build-up/lag, and what may have been a slow decline will quickly be a deluge. I am sure BTC will recover, the only question is in how long.
With the inflation of the coins being produced, it's going to be awhile to shake out, but in 2 to 3 years, you're gonna be glad you've got all that BTC in that paper wallet!
It's just that most people don't think past this week in their planning

Mr. Wahle - all it takes is one fatfinger  Wink

give us a fatfinger, Mr. Whale. Do it for the children Smiley

You see that 399 sell order at 59 vanish? It's like there's an invisible force trying to stop us from reaching 60! Once we hit 60 firm, it won't be long til the 60s are just a memory.

U ready to take down the 99 order? I'm in

Never belligerent, lads. Just a patient theorist:

Ian just said, 'The GST on BTC purchases will kill cryptos in Australia.' Do I remember that Btc attracts capital-gains tax somewhere in the U.S.?

So: about 6% buy-in-sell-out cost to get Btc, about 7% GST added to that. If another 7% 'capital-gains tax' were added to that . . . that's anti-crpto warfare!!

So, IndiaMikeZulu's bee-in-the-bonnet about 'manual' P2P systems? Worst case-scenario, with a .5% exchange fee thrown in, you're lookin' at a hefty disbenefit to own and use crypto. In the conventional system . . .

Pnoch: 5 Uno sent for your project.

m

yes, bitcoin is subject to capital gains tax in the US (15%)
LOL, can't say I ever was able to sell any crypto for a profit. Always a bag holder... Hoping UNO is a different beast!
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: October 02, 2014, 12:28:24 AM
Speaking of commerce, what ever happened to the message about the Android wallet? Did it get it's own thread? I'd definitely throw some UNO that way.
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Best currency exchanges on: October 01, 2014, 08:47:29 PM
anybody got i good marketplace to sell your coins?
i have heard about cryspy but i dunno if there are better ones out there Smiley Grin Huh
What are you wanting to sell?
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: October 01, 2014, 02:51:15 PM
Reminder:
when you got a lot to sell try in-house-exchange first before clogging up the orderbook with outsized orders. No need to clog the books. Exchanges for daytraders, in-house-exchange for the longtermers.  Wink
Avoid outsized sellwalls on exchanges, thanks.

That's a great idea, V500. Try the trusted inhouse network first for a large quantity of Un.  You'll probably get a better average price than dumping it down. If you want it handled anonymously, you could probably contact IMZ or another trusted member of the trading community.
Absolutely! I'm always glad to help in this regard as well...

Also, to more easily spread the news about UNO-Ex, there is this link:

lol. Uno halving in 13 days

According to our theory then, the value should double! ;-)

On a more serious note, I have noticed that our value seems to be going up about .001 every few weeks. We're due to punch to through .006 and then that would put us at about .01 by years end!

To the moon!
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 30, 2014, 10:41:35 PM
Several markets have hit close to .006 today on that low volume, there's just no one left selling their UNO cheaply anymore. Sooner or later those wanting to buy are going to have to pay more and the price will have to find a new floor.

The previous floor was ~.0045ish, but that dates back to times when mining rewards were much higher. Once the overdue adjustment is finished the new floor is more than likely higher than .01

This is a perfect reason why we need to be lighting up our Twitter / FB / Linkedin feeds talking about UNO, vanity wallets, low inflation, etc. We need more buyers of UNO to drive volume, interest and consequently price!

If you know a whale, pass him / her 20 UNO for the heck of it. Perhaps he / she will see the value and throw some money at a position...
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 08:10:39 PM
Curious, is the price dump causing you to stop buying BTC? Or, trading BTC for something else? If so, what?
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 30, 2014, 08:00:41 PM
Anyone:
Quote
The coin is now exactly what it was designed to be: scarce
And it will be even more scarce as time passes.

.... It's a longterm winner, not just a one-week-coin.

It would be really great to have a long-term graph of the last 3 months with all the other cryptos overlaid from the beginning basis.  I think it will be stunning and a great intrinsic selling-point if people can see it graphically.  Watch the other coins' 1-week pumps and such.  Can we get 100 cryptos on there?  (No non-mineables fake coins!)  Share the graphic in all outreach!

 Cool

Absolutely! Who makes the other charts? Was it FK?
1037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 04:29:41 PM
While it is a drop in the bucket, there is a ton of venture capital money involved with BTC and adoption seems to be growing.  The question is whether the inflation of the coin is growing faster than adoption / utility thereby decreasing its value for the long-term...
1038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 12:46:03 PM
My other post about inflation got deleted, but what do you think is driving the price down? Are people scared of the inflation or lack of utility of BTC or something else?
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Current wallet 0.9.5 on: September 30, 2014, 03:03:31 AM
Wow $ 373. Btc prices looks like go low and low. We are safe haven for all cryptos now.
Get ready to obtain Un with more cheep btc. I am ready to free more weak hands from the heavy.
Some tons waiting for us on ex. Cheesy

That's a very true statement. Please be sure to spread the word on your social outlets. I think with the fall of the price of Bitcoin,  people are going to be looking for alternatives that are not pump and dump. Especially given the fact that Unobtanium is convertible to a precious metal, makes it very attractive.
1040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dumpers are gone , bottom has been reached (366) on: September 30, 2014, 01:36:51 AM
What makes you think that? Couldn't the bottom be $266?
