ZenCash Mandatory Software Upgrade & Staking Date Change ZenCash rescheduled the date of the next mandatory software upgrade from the end of May to the start of July 2018 to coincide with Zen 2.0.11 deprecation (cease to function). The mandatory upgrade will include major upgrades and improvements. The current version of Zen, 2.0.11, will cease to function at block 332576. This will take place on or around June 26, 2018. All secure node operators will need to complete the upgrade to the new version of Zen software before the deprecation.

Right, so it's not the number of secure nodes *I* have, it's the total number of secure nodes in the network. Perhaps the site owner could be persuaded to make that a bit more clear, as it is not at all obvious that is what you are supposed to enter for # of secure nodes. Exactly this number is number of total nodes online. Result you got is per one node. I understand this might be confusing, but anyway this will be changed due to changes that will be applied after fork. I'm quoting this because it is very important information! OK I am impressed. I have been a fan of Zen for a while now, but this upcoming transformation is really mind boggling, I have to say. Is there any infos of the time all this transformation will need?

The initial estimate was end of May and now it is beginning of July so it is not too big a slip.The hard fork need to be after the deprecation of the current version as it affects full wallets, nodes, pools and exchanges. devmanThis fork will implement block reward changes 10% 10% 10% 70% as you can see on first picture. Yes, these arguments are making sense. And if ZenCash already managed to get 10,000 non-windows nodes, I guess this is most likely the best way to go.
As I understood the best way is to setup node on cloud service (may be AWS) Also may be in future ZenCash team or some enthusiasts can provide node setup as a service? So even more people who are not advanced in tech can join We are not far from this, check Discord #Scurenode, ask for help, and you will get proposals. |

The only huge problem that the team has still to solve is to make this node-stuff an easy and friendly process which everybody can easily setup and not just something for nerds. For example, I could not setup a node on my Windows based PC. I guess, I am not the only one.
I think the priority for nodes is to make sure the system is secure, which based on the number of nodes, it probably is. If windows is deemed less secure than linux, or too difficult for the system to deal with two operating systems, then we probably won't see user-friendly nodes on windows make an appearance. I actually haven't been able to find any coins that do nodes through windows. It possibly doesn't exist and not sure zencash will look into it separately. I dont see them using that much of the developers time to make it work easy on Windows. And if you have to invest time in getting it up and running it is more likely the node will stay on for a longer time. It is all about security and performance of the network! Windows platform can't compete in this field, and if not done properly it can possible endanger network and node owner. Window is not known as secure system anyway so for it won't find a place in most secure network. |

I haven't had a good experience with this exchange. My NLG transaction has been stuck in limbo for a week now. No response from any support even though I've sent many emails, facebook messages, etc. Deposits went fine of course. Maybe it's just the NLG Blockchain, I don't have much experience transacting on it, so ymmv.

Is Zencash going to fork the Bitmain Z9 ASIC? Seems like the right thing to do. Well done Monero!
ASIC is not flexible equipment, so let's do forks and kill them.
I don't want to offend ASIC miners, but honestly those such of specific-designed equipment create huge potential for 51% replay attacks due to potential dominant ASIC mining farms.
As we all know, replay attacks are the most terrible stuffs in crypto world.
This new miner is either an FPGA with on board RAM (quite likely) or a full blown ASIC with some kind of very fancy (and expensive) linked memory module.
If it's an FPGA we're dealing with, finding an algorithm that you couldn't just reprogram the FPGA to mine will be extremely difficult. If it's an ASIC, the task of creating some kind of incompatibility by modifying or switching algo's would obviously be considerably easier.
Problem is, we have no technical specs for the Z9 so we could potentially put a load of effort into something that would only take a few days to reconfigure the Z9 to mine...

It was Charles Hoskinson and his team who corrected the problem. yes the reason you stopped following is the reason I started following. Charles Hoskinson is one of the biggest names out there, and his company is part of the core development team and with the company being run by a professionals and the big name strategic advisors behind them, I think there could be more going on behind the scenes than we know.

WOW hard forking without implementation of asic resistance thats a peace of work right there.
This fork first time was introduced in our new white paper, back then this story about ASIC was not actuel. We have scheduled a fork for this purpose and we cannot delay this. As I said few posts before we don't have an official statement on this. |

Statička IP adresa u zavisnosti od paketa i provajdera može biti i do 5$ dodatno na osnovni paket usluge, (što onda ostavlja mesto samo za Super Nod) jer već od 10$ imate VPS za Sigurnosni Nod. Drago mi je da interesovanje raste. Do sada su nodovi bili nepristupačni malim investitorima, što je greška, a ovako mnogo ljudi može sebi da priušti ovakav vid ulaganja pa i zarade.  |
