Definitely will keep a look out... I've got 8 S3s and an S5 to replace.  Who knows... If I can get a good enough price maybe I'll do a promo or something.  Probably wait until Kano's is over, though.
1022  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 18, 2016, 01:01:35 AM
Wish I had seen your group buy... Definitely looking to replace my ancient S3s Wink
1023  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 18, 2016, 12:41:35 AM
pointing an avalon 6 at the pool waiting to see if it shows up.

looks good!
How do you like the Avalon?  How does it compare to the S7?
1024  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 18, 2016, 12:15:25 AM
I am indeed... 450TH total on two orders.... One on NH one on WH.  24 hours each.
1025  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 05:55:41 PM
NH will determine what price is competitive and assign hash as appropriate.  Obviously, this can lead to a bidding war... if somebody decides to place an order for 2PH and pays 0.005 per TH, then pretty much every miner below that threshold is going to be redirected to this new order.

So, if you place an order for say 0.0042 and it's hashing away, then it gets shut down, it is because those miners are redirected to other orders.
1026  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 04:52:36 PM
By culprit, I didn't mean someone on the pool, I meant what processes are causing the problems.  In terms of registered users, the pool has over 80.
1027  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 03:54:04 PM
I'm looking into it folks... I've been digging through logs and watching the servers to see if I can identify a culprit.
1028  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 01:00:24 AM
Hey Jonny, do you feel like matching us some hashing power let's get this thing flying? Grin
I'll play... what did you have in mind? Smiley
1029  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 12:59:39 AM
Still locked out on my rentals.  Will try something else. To get in.
Hmmm... I can successfully hit from NH using the pool verification (both NH and WH).  Not sure why you're seeing it locked out.  If you try the pool verification, what do you see?
1030  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 12:54:48 AM
Yep... I can see your worker in the database and the successful submission of shares in the logs.  You're hashing away Smiley
1031  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 17, 2016, 12:28:14 AM
Just grabbing some dinner folks... Will check into things shortly.
1032  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 16, 2016, 11:47:32 PM
hotmail had it in black list....
now my s7 can't connect to that stratum...
Let me take a look at the logs... PM me your username on the pool.
1033  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 16, 2016, 11:43:47 PM
Not as far as I know... Emails went out earlier to someone who registered.  PM me your email address you used to register and I will take a look.
1034  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Jonny's Mining Emporium (bravo-mining.com) on: January 16, 2016, 10:04:24 PM
Yeah self-mod is the way to go.

I do all my threads that way.

oh I have 100th  but .01 btc  I will monitor close and add some more coin at the right time.

so far the pool is not allowing the rental

still dead

Might be DNS propagation... Although there are already a couple of rentals pointed to the pool...

Great promo!  Good luck to everyone mining here.

So we all know what happened with Nexious, and a bunch of people got burned.  We also know that it seems to be the latest fashion for newbie accounts to announce their own pools.  Whether or not they are sincere, or are just trying to play the same scam Nexious did, I don't know.

In light of this, I decided to open up my own pool.  I figured I'd do the community a favor and offer my own. No frills, no BS. The pool is here for a simple reason: to give you a choice.  The pool mines BTC.  No merge mining.  No alt coins.  Straight up BTC mining.

You can see my announcement here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=104664.msg13126185#msg13126185

I've actually updated the maximum difficulty since I wrote that to better manage large hash miners.  Here are the current specs:

Pool:                        Jonny Bravo's Mining Emporium
Website:                   http://www.bravo-mining.com
Proxy:                      No
Generation address:  14KxdJ7DfAPsxCYkpcDTcKotjeProcfRPo
Coinbase signature:   /bravo-mining/
Payout method:         PPLNS
Fee:                         0.5%
Pay Tx Reward:         Yes
Vardiff:                    starts at 1042.  Range from 8 to 1048576.
Local Work:              stratum
Pay Orphans:           No
Min Withdrawal:       0.001
Merge Mining:          No
Location:                 US

I've actually held off making this announcement and soft launched the pool at the end of November.  Well, now I'm making it public.

The pool has already found its first block: https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/block/000000000000000003c3a6ee87941ea88ab99490e7774ae25dc48deb9aa2bf72

Oh... and here's the important bit... the miners were paid for their contributions Smiley.

How to connect typical miners:
US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com:3333 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

For large hash rate renters, I've opened up port 3334.  Starting diff is 2097151.  Minimum diff is 1048575. Max is 16777215.
US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3334 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com:3334 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

For miners with an S2 or similar device that doesn't play well with vardiff, I've opened up port 3999.  This is a fixed diff of 999 and should help lower your reject rates.
US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:3999 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com:3999 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

For miners with firewall blocks or issues, I've opened up port 80.  This is a vardiff port.  Starting diff is 10042.  Min diff is 1042.  Max diff is 1048576.
US
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.bravo-mining.com:80 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword
EU
Code:
./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bravo-mining.com:80 -u Weblogin.WorkerName -p WorkerPassword

  • You MUST register and use a valid email address because the pool requires you to validate
  • PPLNS payouts with 5N share life
  • MPOS front end running on NOMP stratum
  • NO SPV MINING - we mine only on fully validated blocks

So, if you're looking for somewhere to point your hash, give us a try.  You aren't going to get scammed, bamboozled, swindled or defrauded here.  Proof is in the pudding: we've found our first block and miners were paid.

Thanks, and I look forward to seeing some of you there.

Everyone,

I've been working all day to get things back up and running.  The stratum servers are not up, and the front end is there so you can verify things.  As you can imagine, I've made considerable changes behind the scenes.  Rest assured that all of your shares, expected earnings, and any balances you had are all safe and secure.

I'll be continuing to work tomorrow to ensure everything is good to go and will be performing some more tests.  I will be providing updates as I progress.

Thanks for all of your patience.

Hey everybody.  I'm still working with my service provider to restore services.  Thanks for all of your encouraging words here on the thread and also in the many supporting PMs I've received.  I will keep everybody updated as things progress today.
