1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: October 10, 2016, 09:17:12 PM
I am surprise the price staying so low even the token supply only around 6 Millions.

Correction *600 MILLION TOKENS. With that big of a token supply, dollar parity will take years. Good luck!

600M is really not that much if they manage to deliver what they promise and become profitable, remember dividends. Both UJO and Singular have a huge market to tap into and provide a real and much better solution for many artists.

So 5, 10 or 100k tokens in 600 millions "shares" for a successful company is a huge percentage.
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: October 10, 2016, 08:28:16 PM
We are just a few weeks away from the start of the regular season but J.R. Smith is still unsigned. Lebron has at numerous times clearly stated that he wants Smith back with the Cavs and hopes that he could do the same what he did with Tristan Thompson last season. Aging as J.R. Smith might be, he still can contribute and be a game changer, especially for a team trying to defend their title.

I think the money he's asking is perfectly fine especially considering the current cap. And he's not old by any means, he's what? 30 years old? The guy can keep launching those 3s for at least 4 or 5 years.

I think the situation will resolve, similar to what happened with TT as you mentioned. Unless the Cavs have that money stashed for something else...

SNGLs are very cheap right now, almost at ICO price, I think Iconomi should jump on that and get a bunch for the ICN Fund hehe.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Pre-Launch Security Contest on: October 09, 2016, 09:48:42 PM
Great, thanks for the answers

You are welcome.

while doubling my ANS would be great

Doubling? Smiley Let's be more optimistic Wink.

it would also be terrible for the team and long term development.

I'm not trying to create panic but really, big investors are clearly the ones that could ask for a refund, and since there are no partial refunds, this makes it more radical. 100-500-1000 BTC at $500-600 is not the same as $700-800 and above.

Yes I agree. Having said that, it seems the biggest investors have high hopes and seem to be friends with the team, so I don't think they'll ask for a refund. If that happens, it will indeed negatively impact Antshares' development and credibility.

Well I don't know anything about that, hopefully you are right but I don't have a single clue who they are. Either way, plenty small whales starting from 20 BTC and above could make a huge dent if they start asking for refunds.

I don't particulary think Bitcoin will rally too hard though (unless a major economic shift or war happens before the end of the year), so hopefully Antshares can keep more than 5k BTC .

I asked a while ago about translation bounties and didn't get any reply. AFAIK is not detailed anywhere how much ANS will be distributed for those compared to others who are all sorted out. Anyone has any input on that or had been awarded their share?
1025  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price we would be at if Btifinex disaster didn't happen? on: October 09, 2016, 08:55:44 PM
Good question.

Bitcoin price was already dead cat bouncing before the hack, but it was the final nail.

Now of course, the post halving dump was not supposed be that steep if there was no hack, I would think that $500-550 would've been the bottom, but after Bitfinex we saw $400 prices for a moment.
1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][rICO]Antshares Pre-Launch Security Contest on: October 09, 2016, 07:20:07 PM
Does anybody know when the refund policy ends?

It'll end by the mainnet launch, probably by the end of this month. The team said they will communicate the exact date after the end of their holidays, so I guess next week we'll have a date.

I'm worried that if Bitcoin price spikes the raised amount would be significantly lower.

The last time I asked it was around 20 BTC, maybe now it's 100 (maybe 1000). Anyway, that means more ANS for the rest of the investors. Unless the big investors ask for a refund, I personlly don't think that the refunds will do any harm ...

Also, when would we see our final ANS share?

Probably once the mainnet launches because refunds won't be possible anymore.

Great, thanks for the answers, I thought there was a deadline established.

Yes I know more refunds means more ANS for the the rest of us but honestly this is the first RICO I've seen and not sure if this could have a deep impact, while doubling my ANS would be great, it would also be terrible for the team and long term development.

1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: October 08, 2016, 05:36:10 PM
NBitcoin will be adding a lot of value to BTC blockchain so once that's ready you know it will be advertised a lot. I think Stratis could be one of the projects that can follow a Bitcoin rally if it comes. Other unproven projects and new technologies will bleed but the ones basically adding value to Bitcoin will go up.

If you ask me alts usually bleed when there's a rally but soon enough they go up, this is not 2013 anymore with jokes like Litecoin and Doge. There's plenty of worthy projects and marketcaps are still ridiculous low.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 10:19:42 PM
....

some bounty hunters are also investors in iconomi ico to !!! with quiet good amount of money ! ... don't be like that Angry

Yea i have invested a lot and i have been on many bounties too .
Bounties were 2% of all yea THIS is 2%... devs have 6.5x more that is 13%...
Behind that coins lays REAL cash to create something THIS IS NOT PnD coin at 10m$ market cap.
This coin have real assets behind in value of 10m$ ... About bounties ALL people known rules.
Do you mad today that some people were buying BTC for 0.02$ years ago?
That they give away BTC in automated give away like 0.5BTC per tick Cheesy...
Now back to ICONOMI all could be 1st in translation all could have signature all could write blog all could join twitter.
Without people from bounties we would not get 10.5m $ and ICONOMI for sure would be just PnD.
BUT WHEN we have REAL assets in $10.5m we can make real big things.
Thanks to bounties we did it Smiley Do you know how costly would be such campaign in MEDIA ??
30s commercial in tv costs ??

"Popular television programs such as American Idol pull in approximately $475,000 per 30-second spot, according to AdWeek"

So we have paid like 0,5x such commercial (~200k$) ? Are we ?
SO THAT WAS SUCH BIG PRICE ? REALY ? "bounty whores" ?

Since i belive in the project I would be much more happy w/ $5M raised and getting double my ICN tokens... getting the rest on board after the ICO Wink
Im fine w/ people who invested in the project and done some marketing and getting know rewarded for their "work". Main problem w/ bounties paid in issued coins is that imo most of em will just dump and doing that on an iliquid exhange will hurt the price in the beginning hard. But TWT.
No one envys the bounty hunters for their bounty since they mainly get peanuts... Only one envys them are other bounty hunters getting less peanuts.

I don't think 10k ICN is peanuts by any means, I'm not sure what's the % but if ICONOMI actually becomes mainstream you'll be a big shareholder with that sum alone considering there's "only" 100M.

It's a decent amount even at the ICO price if you ask me, there are so many options, startups and ICOs to invest that throwing 1, 5 and 10k USD around in experimental projects is not for everybody.

There won’t be exchange updates, as we are under NDAs. When any exchange announces ICN trading, you will hear from them.
What is NDA?How can i follow them for listing update?

NDA is a non-disclosure agreement.

Before we get on ICONOMI team all were 60 wander why guy got 6x60 stakes Cheesy ?
5posts in one day - no spam Cheesy detected
6x60 ahh noo he is good guy (probably is Smiley )
At least they have denied 3of6 becouse of our intervention so is WORTH to write to them they don't ignore us
Market guys are CEOs of ICONOMI Cheesy

I knew something was wrong...
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 08:43:22 PM
If I was awarded 60 stakes for my blog bounty, how many ICN does this equate to?

I think around 4200 ICN

Checking some blog entries I think the difference from 10 stakes to 60 is a little harsh to say the least...I agree it was a good idea to reward better quality but in a lot of those it just seems rushed and ilogical.

Some are nothing special at all, just stating facts and straight shameless promotion and others have great unique content with actual analysis of what ICONOMI is and could be (not so focused on the ICO itself) that didn't get much consideration.

1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 06:29:16 PM
Stratis did a very good job with the bounties and there was a withdrawal limit per day. I remember Lisk did a good job too since it was a much bigger ICO and had very generous bounties too.

Either way, if there's a dump I'm sure many will gladly buy cheap ICN, it just look bad to outside traders and could hurt an initially rally.
ICONOMI is a big ICO too. for bounty hunters, we should recognize the important role of the real supporters in spreading ICONOMI everywhere, but some spammers hurt this perspective, I think ICONOMI team were fair with everyone, and regarding daily payout limit, it is good idea.

Yes I was comparing Lisk to Stratis ICO, they both handle bounties pretty well (especially Stratis but it was a much smaller ICO). Lisk I think set a weekly distribution with rounds and different bounties. So newsletter first, 1, 2 and 3 rounds of signatures another week, etc.

Stratis just set a daily withdrawal limit over the course of some weeks. If you just distribute all of the bounties at the same time a huge dump will happen, it's inevitable. For some it's a great buy opportunity though.
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 06:25:58 PM
Is there any official announcement about exchange?I would love to buy some ICN token, not IOU.If anyone want to dump some bounty at ICO price can contact me for further procedure.will use escrow of course,pm me..
thanx.

Not yet but I would bet that Bittrex is the first to add, they seem to be very ETH token friendly (XAU, SNGL) and they are usually the first to add coins. It's also US based and trustable in my opinion. Shapeshift could jump onboard right after that too.

C-Cex is another exchange that adds new coins very fast but it doesn't inspire much trust to me and their trading volume and UI is horrible.

Poloniex and Kraken usually take much more time.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform ❘|❘ ICO CLOSED on: October 07, 2016, 06:15:25 PM
LOOK at Augur since the opening on exchanger Kraken and Poloniex
Big dumps are going to come and this is inevitable but I will be there to catch them and fill more my stock haha Cheesy

Augur x10 now

Well you have to consider that Ethereum price soared during a full year...so I'm really not sure if the ICO investors made some profit (I mean of course they did). But if you take into account BTC and ETH price at that time and now, I'm not sure which was the best bet and most profitable coin to hold during the time (definitely not BTC I guess since it "only" doubled in price).

1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 06, 2016, 09:35:47 PM
I ve been in crypto since mis 2012. Do you know how many stories of this kind I ve read during this time? Almost every single coin has had similar story. Buy, hold, future brings really dandy stuff. Litecoin, Feathercoin, Doge, Vert, Solar, Fresh, Aurora, etc, etc. Almost each and every of this coins promised bright future to its holders and has had an army of avid supporter in some period of their development. Guess what, not a single one of these reached what they expected it to be. At least from the current perspective.

This is why I do not buy that lovely jowely story, buy, set it and forget it cause the future brings great stuff. The fact is Factom market does not react to market essentials due to something, probably heavy manipulation by someone. This is a MAJOR element which makes me really uncomfortable. Will decide what to do next with my stash in the next few days.

It has been said a lot of times but honestly, I think we'll see $5 and more once M2 gets released along with exodus wallet, Factom is still unknown to many and it seems "boring" to most. After M2 companies will be able to buy EC directly with fiat AFAIK, no messing with factoids or any technical crypto stuff whatsoever. So Factom the company could start getting revenue and deals.

I can really see a real bubble happening if an actual long term deal with a big company is announced, I'm talking about prices above $10 which is what most feel should be by now...
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: October 06, 2016, 06:37:02 PM

If Bitcoin solved one problem it will be huge, not 10 billion marketcap (which is ridiculous, it's not even close to a blue chip company).

bitcoin does solve a number of problems.. the most notable is transfer of money over the internet without a bank.. OH, and it is huge!!

edit:  why do you compare btc to a company??   is gold a company??

People just use banks and credit cards (and Paypal, Google Wallet, Apple Pay, whatever). I agree with you that people who don't have access to banks can benefit, but these are usually non tech savvy people who won't figure out how to work even the simplest wallets. Plus, how they buy Bitcoin with in the first place? Cash? nope...credit cards, banks, etc. I know because it happened to me, getting Bitcoin is a pain in the ass in third world countries, there's no simple and safe solution like Coinbase or whatever.

I understand what you are saying though, Bitcoin proposes a solution but the problem is not there yet, in terms of market at least. I  was comparing cryptocurrencies and blockchains, some have a company behind (like Factom and Ripple) so it's not clear where's the value at, if in the company or the token/currency (I think on both).

Regarding Bitcoin: I believe it's the other way around. The problem for that Bitcoin could be a solution is already there but Bitcoin can't be a solution if it stays where it is. The Blocks are already full. Bitcoin couldn't handle enough transactions to be a solution for existing problems.

I don't want to say it's doomed because I hope that it will be improved but something needs to happen or another Cryptocurrency will take over - Ethereum for example and I wouldn't like to see that.

About Factom, company vs token: The value of Factoids will reflect the use of the system (because every time somebody buys EC's, Factoids are burned through conversion into EC'S). The company does a lot to get customers for the protocol and they are very good in that.

And I believe it's even possible that the marketcap of Factoids could be above the value of the company.

Factom marketcap is ridiculous undervalued and many here tried to explain it, maybe it is heavy manipulation I really don't know. What I know is that last time I checked Maid, Doge and other bad jokes (sorry but really...) were well above it. Don't get me started on Steem.

Maybe Bitcoin gets an upgrade before the end of the year, I don't really think that's the real problem though, I can send BTC just fine. The problem is that no one wants to spend it because you are losing money doing that considering all the fees passing from fiat to BTC. For many it's pretty simple but for the majority it just doesn't make sense, it's cumbersome and expensive (and now it's painfully slow on top of that). I also understand many anarchists concepts behind it, I won't get into that, to me it's too out there to think the world economic system will collapse. It has been collapsing my whole life. It may transition into something different but BTC won't be world's currency unless it was actually designed to be just that (and if this would be the case we would be rich so there's no point in arguing...)

Anyway, even if BTC was just as quick as Ripple for example, this won't change anything. Regular people won't mess with decimals and wallets and conversions. So it kinda reinvented itself as a storage of wealth or digital gold for now. We'll see if that alone will do fo the next years.

We may have digital gold (BTC), oil/gas (ETH?), we even have tokens that act as equity and shares now...but do we have digital cash? quick, simple, old fashioned cash? That would be the blockchain killer app.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: October 06, 2016, 06:17:30 PM
Got some well below 3k but I would like to scoop some more if there's a dump once Bittrex wallets are back online. I think anything below 5k is a steal.

People need to understand that many projects are just that, startups with a roadmap and a plan, they don't have much ready. Investing early is taking a risk of course but once development starts and milestones are accomplished then the price always reflect that and you can exit your position if that's what you want.

Long term success for any blockchain project is not guaranteed, not even Bitcoin is mainstream after more than 5 years, it's nonsense to most people.

I agree with you, anything below 3Ksat is a steal since the ICO price is  around 2600sat, I miss the ICO and I will be following the price closely so as to acquire more tokens before the release of their first documentary later in the year

I think projects like Iconomi, Antshares, SingularDTV and others who are promising dividends will be very hot in the next months. Even if they have a long road ahead and many won't succeed we are seeing a new way of funding companies and getting equity without having to spend 10k that may never materialize.

You don't lose all your money and you have liquidity, right now people are actually profiting already. So I don't understand some users here complaining, just sell and dump your tokens, I think Shapeshift works right?
