I am really impressed with Cleveland Cavaliers performance in their last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. That's what you called a team play.

Not just because of the large margin of lead but let's take a look at this:

Lebron James = 34 mins
Kyrie Irving = 30 mins

See what I mean? Here's another:

Channing Frye = 21 mins
Tristan Thompson = 38 mins
Iman Shumpert = 27 mins
Kyle Korver = 24 mins
Richard Jefferson = 28 mins

Because this guys able to move forward, Lebron and Kyrie doesn't need to go fully with their playing time and this  is a good sign since more backup performance are coming from the starters.

It was alright but that contribution is not regular sadly. All those players had a good game yesterday but they usually struggle, especially the bench production that's why the Cavs are playing a very mediocre season. You have to remember that they were playing against a young and inmature wolves squad at home. Let's see who the Cavs sign in these tryouts (Jordan Farmar is being considered now also, a former Lakers).

I think the Cavs really need to add some depth at both the back and frontcourt, a reliable backup PG and a rim protector would be perfect but all I hear is Carmelo this Carmelo that...lol

Of course they have interest from companies in the industry, but that doesn't mean anything, especially without some actual name dropping. It's a long road and this is in its infancy that's all I'm saying.

I personally don't like the branding or the name for that matter since in my opinion it's just lame to focus only futuristic/sci-fi elements. In terms or regulation issues, well I can see some bands or solo artists in UJO selling their content, tracks and rights without much difficulty. Now the film industry is a whole different thing, especially in the US (most quality production are US based or UK). There are whole crews of +100 people working, will there be fiat gateways, royalties? Will they use ETH? BTC? How does the whole thing's gonna work for the average person and producer? Indie companies and film makers (I'm talking about real indie and underground stuff) will definitely be interested similar to UJO but I don't think this is what they are aiming for, and if they were, well it goes back to my point that presentation of the platform/product is too nichey.

This could all change in the future, so it's a matter of having faith in the company and team, I'm just talking about the present and the information we have now.

Yes its true that it wont happen over night. Zach estimated it would take 5-10 years to reach it full potential. I think they did have most their initial test clients signed up already, but we still need to see if they can attract quality content producers. Until they announce something we wont know.

Didnt they mention fiat gateways as one of the modules in their latest update? Royalties payments should be managed by the rights management platform. It was one of the selling points that all of that would be automated.

Once the modules are build, they company shouldnt have a lot of expenses, and so wont need a lot of revenue to make a profit, which could allow them time to grow.
There is of course always the risk that the project fails, but both startup and crypto investments have always been high risk.

without risk we can not run so avoid from this we must keep it in mind that high risk leads to us a high gain.

Sure and I agree that this is the time to get in if you are confident that in 2 or 3 years this project will get unicorn status. People who made it and got rich with Google didn't invest when it was a household name but when you could perceive the potential.

For Singular, I can see the potential but I don't think there's enough direction and ideas to take on the risk now, I would need just a little more from their part before I invest my humble share of BTC/ETH on it. There's also a fund that they could invest in other projects (I heard they wanted to invest in UJO, that definitely floats my boat).

Investing in movies or producing films is usually one of the worst and less profitable investments so I wouldn't hold my breath on that, especially since it will mostly be sci-fi oriented. I know crypto fans are all geeks and nerds but you can't live on that. Having an Ethereum documentary is ok but it won't attract the masses. Same goes with a series about the singularity, which many shows are coming up with right now (there's even a comedy one with Seth Rogen in the works).

Unless the quality is completely flawless and makes a splash kinda like Black Mirror, Mr. Robot or similar then I don't think there's anything special regarding this "module". Also I don't think they have the funds to pull something like that off. Rights management platform on the other hand is actually a quite interesting idea but it's years ahead, regulation wise I mean.

UJO on the other hand can get word of mouth via indie musicians using its system to sell their content and therefore creating huge buzz and critical mass.
The documentary and partly the series is just test content.
According to their plan they should be running the rights management with selected producers in a year or so. They have also stated that serveral larger players in the industry have expressed interest their platform.

Which regulations do you see a problem with? There are ways around most of the issues for the company. It does state that its the token holders responsibility to make sure they comply with the law aswell.

Of course they have interest from companies in the industry, but that doesn't mean anything, especially without some actual name dropping. It's a long road and this is in its infancy that's all I'm saying.

It is the time to accumulate SNGLS tokens and hold on for the coming 2 to 3 years as by that time, if everything goes as per plan, all the 11 modules will be rolled out and some documentaries and tie ups will be showcased and announced. That will be the time to see massive growth for the platform. This is a project which you need to hold for the years to come and be happy with the dividends you get once it starts to produce revenue!

Well if it takes that much you know there will be plenty of entry points. Most of the projects including BTC are driven by pure speculation alone so the price usually is not sustainable. I think if everything goes according to plan and SingularDTV can get a market share of other profitable old economy companies, then it can definitely achieve unicorn status and be worth well above $1. However most startups fail and this project in particular is trying to disrupt the whole rights management system while at the same time producing shows and being a Netflix type of VOD, etc. To it's trying to do too much and they style and look is too "niche" for my liking.

UJO Music on the other hand seems more agnostic and aims to disrupt the music streaming/rights industry without being all over the place. I think SingularDTV needs a lot of time to mature so it's an unclear time.

The time taken for Singular DTV to capture market share is something which we will need to wait and see as there is tight competition in this field with many well established players, however if the team really pulls out some good series it will be good enough to make a statement.

When it comes to investing, it is better to diversify your investment and I feel SNGLS is good enough to be invested, you can add slowly if you feel that you will have opportunities to get more at lower price in the coming months and years.

Some more Cavs news: ESPN Sources: Cleveland to host mega free agent workout featuring Mario Chalmers, Lance Stephenson, Kirk Hinrich.

I think those options are not really that enticing, Hinrich was a fine PG 5 years ago but now he's 36, I don't doubt he can still play but watching Dunleavy a former Bulls teammate was just too much this year, he sucked, I'm sorry. Mario Chalmers is not that old, only 30 but he's recovering from an Achilles tear...and we know many players are just not the same after that kind of injury.

Stephenson could be intriguing and if properly motivated he could be a force from the bench, the problem is that this position is completely crowded unless they sign him and move a couple of players to get a PF/C or PG.

I really don't care with Stephenson and Kirk Hinrich what matters most with me is Mario Chalmers. And seeing him to play with Cavs and I think they are going to become stronger as long as coach will not just let them heat in their benches so that they can show what they got and they've got something to prove.

I kinda agree, Stephenson could be a nice addition to the bench though as I mentioned and he's young, I don't know much about his playmaking abilities but I don't think he can be trusted that much to give him the PG position even as a backup. As for Mario Chalmers, he's definitely have experience and knows how to play the game especially when you most need him but that injury is something major to consider, is he ready to play? It's a major risk that you can take in the offseason with time, but right now you need him to contribute right away so I'm not sure if he's ready.

Thanks guys for the feedback and support! We have some pretty exciting features that we will be releasing later this year including Account synchronization/backup, support for Fiat Currencies, improved Position management and overview, more exchanges, and much more.  We are definitely considering adding a web platform/desktop application in the future as well. Thanks again for everyone's support!

Awesome, this is the best app hands down and all those additions will be very welcome. A desktop option will be awesome since I'm checking my phone too much when I could just have an open tab hehe. As others have said, synchronization and backup should be top priorities though since I've recently changed my phone and had to re enter all my transactions, I didn't mind much but nowadays these things are a given.

Keep up the good work!

The Cavs are most definitely unpredictable right now, I think missing both JR and Kevin Love is just too much for the Cavs this year with their current roster really. Frustration is in the air as you can see both Irving and Lebron trying to do what they can but it's not enough. Hopefully GM Griffin can bring a couple of additions to the roster as he usually does year after year, especially a PG and a PF/C.

They don't have to big names (actually they can't do it unless trading one of the big 3) but they need to have decent experience and be good role players.

770  Economy / Speculation / Re: Give me an estimate on next breakout! on: January 30, 2017, 02:35:52 PM
you can expect a breakout very soon because i sold a small amount of bitcoin today since i needed some money and the last time i did that price went to $1100 Smiley

but jokes and superstitions aside, i think we can see $1000 in about a month from now, we are already in 900-920 range and this 20 dollar range has always been like a launchpad for bitcoin to higher price.

I don't think there's any good news to sustain another jump in price in the horizon. China volume was completely fabricated, no adoption pressure, segwit most definitely won't happen any time soon, ETF will get rejected (that's a strong rumour) and many companies like Circle left Bitcoin ecosystem because of inner turmoil. I think if the two opposite camps don't get their act together we can even see a hard fork in Bitcoin in 2017, there's a real chance to that, hopefully it doesn't happen but we have to be sincere and admit that as it is it's not going anywhere unless some breakout news happen.

The only thing I can think of right now that plays in favor of BTC price is uncertainty with Trump's government and economic crisis looming, but those fears won't last too much and it's all speculation based. BTC needs to solve issues in the real world.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could bitcoin prevent crime? on: January 29, 2017, 05:55:55 PM
Most definitely it can prevent corruption and other shady practices. This starts at the government levels but it also applies to many companies, non-profit ones especially. Factom project for examples aims to create open records for many applications in the real world like birth certificates, etc where you can't really forge or erase them, well if you do you can see it in the blockchain (kinda like a hidden list of changes).

To be honest, we as citizens of the world should really start demanding the use of public ledgers in our governments, there's absolutely no excuse not to implement it because that's our money as tax payers that we are. Company records on the other hand of course should remain private but they could definitely adopt blockchains either way since auditing will be much more simple and fast. That's why they want editable blockchains, so they can cook the numbers behind curtains hehe.

772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Sports Betting for You? on: January 29, 2017, 05:44:33 PM
I only bet on sports when I want to make the game a little more interesting to watch, however I've also did it as an emotional hedge! If you root for one team you bet for the other and it's win-win situation, if your team win you're happy, if you team loses you get money haha. This doesn't work for all games but very important ones.

Other than that, gambling on sports is the same as any other type of gambling, the house edge always get you in the end, that's the truth. So gamble on any game you want to be entertained/have a good time but keep your eyes on the trophy and don't be naive.
773  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stolen Bitfinex Coins on the Move on: January 29, 2017, 05:36:00 PM
Hopefully he won't be able to dump it or even better get caught doing it. I'm not sure how exactly he can do it though since all movements will be pretty clear, except for mixers but for that sum it would be crazy to use them. But that's only the start, the real issue will come if he wants to turn it into fiat, maybe he can do it with money launderers or in the black market. This will open the debate for fungibility really, some addresses and BTC will remain tainted even if we could accept them just the same there could be a time when exchanges or heavily regulated services won't and therefore making them less valuable...
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: January 29, 2017, 05:29:53 PM
This thread is still around an almost an year passed since my last post, almost nothing changed. To buy/sell BTC for fiat you need to go through infinite hoops, even at Coinbase. Lots of KYC regulations, waiting periods and then comes all the technical mumbojumbo that no average person in the street will figure out, not all people are geeks believe or not. Private keys, long ass addresses. At the end you are also hugely exposed to volatility, fees and delays in the blockchain too.

It may not be BTC's fault but let's not fool ourselves here, Western Union, Paypal and other methods are cheaper and easier for the average person. If BTC had come with a simpler/cheaper solution it would be the defacto method already to move money/remittances.
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 29, 2017, 05:16:43 PM
Cavs looked ok against the Nets (well what do you expect...). I think they can win against OKC today without too much problems but with all the recent losses and bad performance lately I'm sure they will be not heavily favored so it's a good opportunity. I still don't know which players could Cleveland get in the short term as there are almost zero assets to trade with. I think they should really consider trading the rights of Cedi Osman (young turkish sensation that will come to the NBA next year) if they can get a talent like Rubio, Bledsoe, Deron Williams, etc.

Other than that I don't think they can improve much further signing free agents or nbdl prospects.
776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Fund Management Platform on: January 28, 2017, 03:44:18 PM
Hello Community!

Came here for the lambo and my dividends too, but was wondering about the possible regulatory hurdles this venture might encounter along its journey.

Any thoughts?

Yes. This topic has been done to death. Iconomi is in a regulatory grey area like pretty much every other company in this space - Poloniex, BTC-e, Bitfinex, Augur - whatever.

I was wondering for example what's the difference between Iconomi and Coinfund.io in this case (or any other crypto fund management company) besides the obvious difference in goals. But I think the main issue fudders like to bring up is that Iconomi doesn't have anyone in their team registered as a fund manager or whatever that's called. They are registered as Cashilla and can sell crypto to fiat under KYC rules but they are in no position to be "brokers". You can't manage people's investments without a license anywhere, doesn't matter if crypto is not regulated.

I don't know much about coinfund.io but they are located in the US so I'm sure they are abiding to strict laws. Poloniex and other exchanges are not in a grey area, for example Poloniex don't use fiat and recently they had to block a state (New Hampshire I think) because of recent law changes there.
777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: January 28, 2017, 03:37:40 PM
This seems good. I want to upload terabytes of movies and shows I have. If I understand it right, I can profit greatly from it. Finally something useful on blockchain.

Looks like you are looking for a different project (kinda like LBRY although if you don't hold the rights of these movies and shows they will be taken down). SingularDTV will be a rights management platform and they will also create content themselves. If you want to upload/share or use your storage to "mine" you should be looking at projects like LBRY, SIA and STORJ...
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best site to buy Bitcoins to Deposit for gambling on: January 27, 2017, 10:11:49 PM
And people wonder why Bitcoin doesn't get adopted by the mainstream, because it's a pain in the ass to get any kind of crypto, plus you are paying ridiculous sums in some of these sites, especially localbitcoins. I understand many are just government regulations doing their deeds but still, it shows how in many years decentralization didn't help one bit to establish trust (for example we could have p2p exchanges already but we don't...).

I bought my first Bitcoins with VirWox because it was the only thing available for me at the moment, I don't know if they are still in business but I would recommend them (very expensive though).
779  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is an easy way to move bitcoin forward. on: January 27, 2017, 10:06:32 PM
I don't think this will be as easy as it sounds since there are two opposite sides that won't back down. To me this is an issue that will only intensify in the upcoming months and it's very overlooked. SegWit won't happen anytime soon and this could create a temporary bear season for BTC. There are a lot of devs and people in the know that already said that there's a strong possibility of a hard fork. Many should do some research because a lot of US companies and early adopters of Bitcoin like Circle are dropping out or steering away from it (Coinbase). I feel it is because of all these disagreements and lack of development progress.
780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 25, 2017, 05:17:12 PM
With Rudy Gay out for the Kings it should be an easy win for Cleveland Cavaliers. Cavs on average score 112.2 points whereas Sacramento scores on average 103.3. Cavs have lost their previous match and will be looking to get back with a bang. CAvs beat Sac aat Sac home 120-108. So they should be able to repeat that again.

I don't know, while the Cavs won against Sacramento in the recent trip they are looking very shaky lately, not the big 3 of course but the rest of the team really doesn't have any depth at all. You can see that the stars are getting tired already playing so many minutes and there's not another player in the team that has been able to pick up the slack. Korver has been a bust so far although you can't really blame him at all since he's just getting to know his new teammates.

Either way the Cavs should win this one, a more interesting game in my opinion would be Warriors vs. Hornets, would the GSW bounce back after the recent defeat against the Heat?
