1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BBQCoin, the coin you want to eat. on: February 08, 2013, 08:39:02 PM
As someone pointed out in the "kill RUCoin" thread, BBQcoin is indeed still running. Its difficulty is low enough that even just using its built-in mining on a CPU you can still find blocks.

About connections, yesterday I was seeing three, today only two. Difficulty was up at 0.0055+ with three connections, now down to 0.0011+ with two connections. I don't point GPUs at it, I just let it chug along using CPU with its built in miner, finding a block occassionally.

Basically it is to litecoin as terracoin is to bitcoin: a no-merged-mining clone so any hashing you use on BBQcoin isn't going toward litecoin just like hashing you direct at terracoin isn't going toward the entire family of merged mining you can do alongside bitcoin. That is why I just chug it on CPU for fun: my GPU is working on a whole bunch of coins at once.

EDIT: Updated sources are at http://sourceforge.net/projects/galacticmilieu/files/ as from time to time I add a new checkpoint to various low difficulty chains to help protect against any someday attempt at a massive-timetravel attack against them. I guess if people are starting to pick up on this coin again its about time to set another checkpoint...

<3 always wanted to have just one BBQ coin just for the name Smiley how can we help it get more connections ?? i have a client running on my home pc and could throw one on a server... would that help protect the coin?

other coins i have sent to c4n10 or hashy are all confirmed

edit2: also, what is your client's block count? if you still get no connections, close and re-open client

client never connecting so block count 0 Sad

That is really weird, as i get 1 connection, c4n10 is on too and has 4 connections.. care to upload your client somewhere for me?
(as this is offtopic you can pm me the link for it)

Little does Kano know that I have made arrangements for Luke-JR to visit at the same time.  It will be an epic deathmatch that we are televising on PPV.
Is Luke-jr going to 51% attack BFL ?
Is there a list somewhere of luke's 51% attacks; what happened etc. ?
No need for a list with only one item: CoiledCoin. Can't be bothered with pissing off scammers anymore.
And the trolls have a field day with it, claiming Eligius miners were involved when it was just me.
for reference, may i ask why u attacked CLC?

coz he is a retard?? Also, yesterday i asked Greedi why he killed BBQ and didnt even reply (he sent me "why you need to know?") and after that no reply (though bbq seems to be back up connecting to peers, mining coins, recieving, sending etc etc. It may reset itself after it got to 0 peers, if anyone has a bbq address pm me to send you coins and do the final tests to be sure its working)

Btw his lines on the btc-e chat(the only info i could gt on subject):

07.02.13 08:34:15 Greedi: efx, What?.. what the *, have you heard bud?.. he did only help a bit with some code?.. but yeah, the fault with bbq was the creator was a little boy that pissed me off -.-

I expect to see one addy for your BTC, TRC and FRC now Tongue
1028  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks] Evolution Mining Investment Club - For a bigger future. on: February 05, 2013, 01:05:27 PM
I have a few shares bought in EVO.... and wondering when you are going to make an order from BFL?? or what is your plan? I have made my preorder with them back in Sept... and expecting it maybe mid march... but current posts on their forum suggest that if u order now, u will get some time in April... my advice would be to make a preorder b4 they actually release as EVERYBODY will be placing an order once they have proven they can deliver and the charts for ROI is looking grim with the potential increase in Hashing power... worth getting in early... but this only my opinion
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking to Commission luke-jr to "kill" RuCoin on: February 04, 2013, 07:53:59 PM
i'd be up for giving a go at doing a 51% attack...purely out of interest in knowing "how to 51% attack a chain" and i see it as a side bonus that Rucoin is wanting to be tested at being 51% attacked (please note i support nearly all the alt-currencies and I not doing this out of spite for Rucoin, but in testing what the community has asked for, and chance to gain some more knowledge on what is involved in a 51% attack)

but i can only do this if
1) rucoin is mineable on BFL ASICs,
2) when i get my ASIC!!
3) if the reward is high enough so as not to loose out on too much BTC from not mining
4) I suppose i should say as well if 60Ghash will be enough to kill perform the 51% attack
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining speeds of cards for LTC ? on: February 04, 2013, 05:25:59 PM
Also look in the mining and marketplace forums on here as a number of people are selling off their old mining rigs so you can pick up all u need with the knowledge that the cards work and can get good estimates on hash rates for each card
1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WordPress WooCommerce Litecoin Payment Gateway? on: February 04, 2013, 05:23:40 PM
I take it WooCommerce is an alternative plugin for wordpress... whereas the one I have altered for accepting Terracoins uses the "wp e-commerce" plugin.  Not sure how wooCommerce works and how the bitcoin part plugs in, but i'll have a look if u can find any code in the github.

Alternatively I am looking into creating an LTC version of the TRC WordPress e-commerce plugin I have made here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140802.0

but I only got my new server up last night, and need to install wordpress and plugins on it and confirm that the plugin works correctly before I can call this an official release, but you are more than welcome to test on TRC if you like as I may not get finished tonight and busy tomorrow so possibly wednesday will be the expected confirmed success or failure of this app.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] - TRC WordPress E-Commerce Plugin on: February 04, 2013, 05:18:37 PM
thanks for putting this together, but do you have any plans for making a only payment processor like bitpay for TRC?

if bitpays code is in the github then I can have a look at modifying their code.... otherwise I have a few too many projects on my plate atm to write one from scratch
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] - TRC WordPress E-Commerce Plugin on: February 04, 2013, 01:48:22 PM
ok i forked out and paid for a server that gave me full access and the ability to run terracoind on it... so I will be testing this tonight if I can get the wordpress site fully installed and running from this server.

Just to add if this does work... I should be able to add the plugins needed for any altcoin, so wordpress shop owners can sell goods in LTC, PPC, TRC, BTC, NMC etc Smiley but I will update here once I have shown it to be fully working and operational, and don't worry I will be testing one currency at a time, and then all the currencies together Smiley

Any preference on which currencies people want first?

seems little interest in this so far for TRC??
1034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vircurex.com going public on: February 04, 2013, 01:41:31 PM
Seems a bit steep of a price of 0.25 per share. You have 10k shares on the first round and total shares = 45k. That is a lot of btc.
45K is the entire 30% stake, or only a portion of the 30%?

How is vircurex market cap valued?

The contract explains that in the OP.

Not sure how it is valued. But in my opinion it is way over priced.
If I read this correctly, 45K shares is actually the 100% of the stake, 11.25K btc, roughly 220K usd, it's on the high side but not insanely high.

Tis more than I have in my bank account so I won't be buying all the share... but would like a few.... just got to get some BTC now Tongue
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining speeds of cards for LTC ? on: February 04, 2013, 01:39:32 PM
Yeah sure i'll run some tests on my 5450 tonight for you no worries.... with the 5750... looking on this comparison chart
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison
you should be able to get between 60-100Mhash on Bitcoin mining.... I would expect with the right settings you should get between 60-100Khash for LTC mining... I found this thread particulary helpful for LTC mining https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=117221.0;all

also what miner are u using?? GUIMiner? cgminer? reaper miner?

Personally I started on GUIMiner as it is nice and simple and easy to use for setting up BTC mining... but have since switched to cgminer as the actual miner is more diverse and stable and gets me a better hashrate overall for my 7970.  Also the backup pools is managed more to my liking as when my main pool say falls over, only then does it kick in on the backup pool, but u can vary this in the settings....

1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining speeds of cards for LTC ? on: February 04, 2013, 12:15:00 PM
5450 i get up to 14Mhash on mining BTC... would expect to get 12-14Khash on LTC mining but I not tested.. but can when I get home tonight if you want
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RUC isn't open source? on: February 04, 2013, 10:24:24 AM
kinda pleased i never even looked into Rucoin.... sounded fishy and Ru-bish if there was premining and code that doesn't complie or avaliable in the github.... take note on Crazy Rabbits advice and only run on separate machines not containing your important wallet.dat files for other coins
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] - TRC WordPress E-Commerce Plugin on: February 02, 2013, 11:36:54 PM
Ok I think I'm there Tongue

Here is a link to the Github Repo:
https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/terracoin-wp-e-commerce

You will need:
1) WordPress installed on your server.
2) wp E-Commerce plugin installed in wordpress
3) the terracoin.php file needs to be dropped in the 'wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wpsc-merchants' directory
4) an instance of terracoind running on the server
5) follow the setup instructions in the readme file from github for store settings to select terracoin as payment

I have set up a test wordpress site with the hosting company I use and am waiting to see if they can run an instance of terracoind for me on their server, but i have checked all the functionality and from the merchants side you can specify the port your terracoind is running on , so should be able to connect to the client and that is all that is needed to generate the addresses for payout from the shopping cart.

Check out my example site so far
http://trc.ltcmusic.com/

If anyone wants to test if they are running a server with terracoind on it then please do and the first to post a link here to show it working will receive 200TRC Smiley
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC Project Bounties - I'm funding! New Bounty! on: February 02, 2013, 10:39:58 PM
ok I set up a test wordpress site on the hosting company i use and can be viewed here...

http://trc.ltcmusic.com/

I got everything setup and installed and working except having the terracoind running on the server (speaking to hosting now) but it all seams to work and displays stock priced in TRC.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC Project Bounties - I'm funding! New Bounty! on: February 02, 2013, 06:56:56 AM
Someone please make an ecommerce TRC plugin for Wordpress, perhaps for Woocommerce Smiley Unfortunately I cannot spare any for a bounty but this would be awesome!

is there a bitcoin example in github ? or anywhere that i could grab some code from... as i'd be happy to have a go if it not too much trouble... but I really wanna get this TRC Armory finished... but hit a snag that has me tracing lines of python Tongue

So I found a bitcoin example on github:

https://github.com/mikegogulski/bitcoin-wp-e-commerce

It looks fairly simply to convert to TRC. Maybe i'll even try it myself! :-)

Cool good find and best of luck Smiley i'll have a go to over the weekend... only 7 more hours to go before i can close the door on another 54hour week at work :/ and most nights this week i been up till 2am trying to get a new GFX card setup for mining... which i finally did last night... sorry slight spew of my life story atm, but just wanted to let u know i'm back on the TRC bounty tasks in a few hours Smiley and I don't care what people say ... and even if TRC does die a horrid death... least I have learnt a LOT of code in the process and developed my skills and confidence in making changes to projects in github and playing with Linux... and I owe 99% of that to u Crazy Rabbit so ty Smiley

Thanks a lot man! It's nice to hear some kind words here in this place! Feel free to take a crack at the Wordpress bounty as well. I'll honor it.

Ok here my stab at the wordpress TRC e-commerce plugin, i just adapted the code on ur btc link u found carzy_rabbit
https://github.com/FuzzyBearBTC/terracoin-wp-e-commerce Cool
just needs testing on a live server that can run terracoind (or Terracoin-QT)

Should just be able to follow the instructions in the Read Me file, but give me a shout if u run into problems

I got it mostly up and running locally but few permission errors on me running Wordpress locally on my laptop but thought someone might be able to test on actual live server and let me know any error messages... tis 7am and been on this since 10pm so time for a break but fingers crossed Smiley
