10281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $15k in March, $8.5k by June, then $30+k by Q1/2019? on: April 08, 2018, 06:28:23 AM
Whatever the dude says it is still a prediction, no one knows when the pump and dump happens, keep on speculating because one day you will realize everything you predict misses  Cheesy
crypto market is the place where everything is possible  Cheesy

Read the previous predictions (even on this Forum). Over 90% of them or even more is not true. That is why it is never possible to guess the right price of crypto.
Anyone who is even making any future predictions in this market is absolutely as dumb as his prediction. I guess he must have something to say to rid his saying of $15k by March if possible. Well, we have gone past march now, we are in April, and we are still going down. No one can predict the future and only someone trying to gain some relevance from noobs will be dropping such predictions with some lame analysis which is what I feel this dude is just trying to do. A prediction must be backed by some real times news and incidents otherwise I believe they will not get attentions from this community.

You hit it on the mark mate. I was having a good chuckle regarding that title of the OP that $15K in March  Grin. Would be nice if we hit it unfortunately, it went deeper last month so I doubt that the rest of his prediction has some weight on it.

So with that said, let's say keep our own prediction ourselves and see how it goes for you, If it happens then nice, if not then no one will make fun out of you, just saying...
10282  Economy / Speculation / Re: John eat-a-dick | Will he or won’t he? | ? Bitcoin price December 31 2020 on: April 08, 2018, 05:03:41 AM
just curious what will he do after he realize it's a little bit crazy to make that statement.
i believe he did that itentionally to increase the demand and awareness from people and spread the world about it.
will he ? nobody knows.
John McAfee is a bit crazy when it comes to public statements and i am sure he is taking sweat money from projects to endorse those projects and so is the reason you will see him tweet about certain projects and how he thinks about it and so on, he is just manipulating people because of his reputation and literally no one cares about his crazy ideas, everyone knows that the price would increase but you cannot predict the time limit at which the price will increase exactly.

Exactly, we know how eccentric this guy is so I don't think that rational people will have to believed everything that comes out of his mouth. Evident of that is his tweet, or coin of the day. And lately he admitted that he was paid handsomely to tweet most of the coins because they know how he can influence a lot of his crypto followers.

But regarding the OP question, I don't think that he will do it if bitcoin doesn't get to 1 million in 2020. Again, he just burst it during the time when bitcoin was enjoying its peak, so its just another hype stunt and nothing to take seriously.
10283  Economy / Economics / Re: its not about how much you invested, its when you should invest? on: April 08, 2018, 04:41:08 AM
kinda strange when investing in a volitile  market. you can spend 10,000 $ into the market in january and come out less. than what a person invested in april with 10,000 $.

You are correct because the market is very volatile at different times. Look at how those irrational investors last December they bought at top floor price only to lose more than half of it at this very moment. That's why everyone is preaching that investing is crypto is very risky. But if you are willing to take the risk and lose then you don't have to cry and bitch about it. The same as how the early adopters is about 5 or more years ago, they take the risk of buying more bitcoins and the risk has paid off.
10284  Economy / Speculation / Re: falling at a price of $ 6k on: April 07, 2018, 11:58:11 PM
I follow a bitcoin price prediction forum that says that within the next week the bitcoin price will fall on the $ 6k price range
this is based on the graph of bitcoin price fluctuations
What is your opinion

For that to happen, certain support levels need to broken but if you are going to look at the price today. It looks like its holding around the $6900-$7K levels so its still holding. However, if in a bad scenario, when support are broken then the price could go even further. That's how volatile the market is, so let's see how it goes in the next few weeks. Because there are also predictions that bitcoin is going to be pumped this month specially after the tax season is over. So don't be surprise if bitcoin breaks all the barriers and reach to $8-$9K and not falling at $6K.
10285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: Culture on: April 07, 2018, 11:35:44 PM
Have you ever wonder why even there are a lot of negative things gambling bought, it still doesnt leave us ? Is that so, gambling has been a part of our culture , even you have plenty or not. Rich people often socialize in the form of casino, while the poor are contented on country games with lower bets. I, as a person living on a third world country, witnessed how gambling form our culture. Town celebrations or "fiesta" are not complete without low cost gambling houses called "perya" where you can bet starting from almost $.02 and above. Every corner of the street has some kids playing coin games and even a wake makes its company awake using card games. Weird isnt it? How about in your country?
In my country gambling is regulated and its legal but you need a license and it's not easy to get one however there are many gambling games that are not consider gambling by people but that is exactly what it is, people love to play bingo in my country and they bet money on it and it's not rare to see people spend hours or even the whole day playing bingo and it is even acceptable that kids play it something I do not agree with.

Are you aware that most of the country was regulating gambling? Except on those in the poor country which I bet that gambling will not be feasible. Most of the country needs to regulate it since it involves money and it that government must apply tax for that. In my country here in Asia has a very strict law regarding gambling even if you are playing cards with your friends that involves on cents just for will might cause you to put in jail when law enforcer caught you.

On the other hand, I think most third world country is in gambling for the simply reason that everyone wants to take quick route and make easy money. However, yes, most country has been regulating gambling and some are really successful except for a few that will take the risk to gamble. Asia is known for being in gambling, just go around the casinos around the world and you will find a lot of Asian's sitting on the table, betting big money.
10286  Economy / Economics / Re: If the government supports bitcoin instead of the existing currency. on: April 07, 2018, 11:15:41 PM
Neither bitcoin nor paper money has any real value, but notes have national credit support, and what if bitcoin also gets national credit? The government will lose its macro-control policy but it can also effectively eliminate inflation, two relative ratios. Is that a good result? Of course, I know that the government is very unlikely to support bitcoin, but who knows?

Government will not likely support bitcoin in that way. Even Japan who have legalized bitcoin doesn't think of ditching their Yen because fiat like US dollar is still the predominant currency being used as a medium for global trade.

And that's why bitcoin is being attacked by government because they don't want it to take over the fiat system. But in case your idea will happen, then who will trade with that country? Unless other countries follow as well, so it will be totally useless by any government to support bitcoin as you picture it.
10287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to put the tokens on the exchange? on: April 07, 2018, 05:19:39 PM
Guys is it safe to just put the purchased tokens on the exchange? cause i dont have a wallet in my android app. is it possible that it will be stolen? and claimed to be hacked? Am i doing the right way? Please can anyone help me. Thanks in advance.

Well we all know that hackers are really targeting trading platforms so for me its not safe especially if you hold huge amount of tokens in an exchange. What I do is just let it sit on my MEW wallet, and then when its time for me to dump it I will just deposit it. At least you have control of your private keys if you just let it sit on your MEW, meaning you have total control of it.
10288  Economy / Speculation / Re: More Crash, DIP Is Good for BTC on: April 07, 2018, 04:59:18 PM
More crash is good for BTC market, it mean more people will join in the game and BTC peak Price will be increased by end of the year.
So simply = BTC need to get More Crash in this year to make all everyone happy by end of the year.
wht do u think?

You mean we need to bottom before we can soar higher in the future? Obviously, if you are going to look at bitcoin historical crashes and its immediately bounce you will see that its been the cash.

But the problem during dip is that investors are afraid and very reluctant to enter the market. But let's look at the bright side, its gives us the opportunity to jump in because you can get it a discount, so instead of selling it, why not just purchase and just hold.
10289  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible effect of potential billionaire investor? on: April 07, 2018, 04:28:23 PM
Most of you have probably heard about George Soros a billionaire who is reportedly taking an interest in cryptocurrency trading. Just before this event, he's been negative on bitcoin, calling it a bubble and etc, but with his sudden interest now in trading with his $26 billion assets, I guess we could probably say that he saw the potential of cryptocurrencies.

How do you think will this affect the market and all the user of cryptos? Can we expect a price spike in the market then after a while, a sudden downtrend movement again?

Why the sudden U-turn though? Him and Warren Buffet has been attacking bitcoin specially during the height last December. Of course a billion thrown in the market will really change the complexion of the game. The price will start to pick up and soon we will get to 5 digits again. I really don't know if he really is going to invest on crypto, but if this is true then its the needed boost that we all have been waiting for.
10290  Economy / Speculation / Re: 17 april 2018 Bitcoin stop to fall on: April 07, 2018, 04:08:04 PM
Walmart Analyst Thomas lee said that the bitcoins huge plunge in the crypto market after the huge hit last december will come to a stop after the tax filing by mid April and more than $ 25 billion  holdings will be taxed. The bitcoin market plunged to 50% because of the uncertainty of regulating bitcoins. Lee is of the opinion that there are more chances for the price of bitcoins could increase above $ 20000 USD by mid year and could hit upto $ 25000 USD by year ending, let's wait and watch what is going to happen in the crypto market after April 17th, hope that bitcoins will start to recover and so does altcoins.

Ok this is what I'm suspecting why Lee is very bullish about bitcoin, it has something to do with the filing of tax. So when everything has settled already, he was expecting that people will then have the cash to pour into the market because tax season is over.

I don't know though if we can get to it by April 17 or one month later. But what I really do believed is that just maybe, more investors will have renewed their interest on the market once they have settled everything specially their tax duties.
10291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Death Cross Approachs on: April 06, 2018, 10:25:59 PM
50 day average on BTC is approaching the 200 day moving average

This is known as a Death Cross spooks the heck out of traders, I'm thinking that it maybe it will be pivotal point for BTC and as DO is correlating with BTC currently it could be a spike down, opportunity to buy more at bargain basement prices

I thought that the death cross was met around during the Holy Week (coincidence?) and was again defeated by bitcoin when it bounce back and recovered around $7300-$7400. So I wouldn't be surprise if we can go and pass this so called death cross. I think is more of a mental thing for most traders now, and fearful for those newbie traders and they might dump anytime though. I'm pretty confident that we can all go this hump again and rebound again.
10292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IS IT THE BEST TIME FOR GAMBLING? on: April 06, 2018, 10:03:45 PM
Ive read some news and threads saying that stocks and cryptos is dropping low and indeed its true. Bitcoins price drops to $7K and is quite disturbing.

Do you think its the best time for gambling? Given these following reasons.

- A certain loss on holding a coin can be obtained if you win on a bet in gambling and can recover what has been lost to you because of the drop.

I wouldn't go on that route mate. You might ended up losing more at the end. Well, if you are lucky then you might recover some because of the drop but its not a sure fire formula because we all know that gambling is too risky.

-  Holding is not that practical because it can be much lowered in the future and better risk it on gambling than seeing it continue dying.

But you are not losing money if you are just holding and not selling it.

- Trading or Holding consumes more time and risk and it prolongs the pressure of loss in you mind and stress you through out the day and the only way to release it is to risk it in gambling.

How can you be stress if you are not doing anything with your coins? More stressful if you gamble and loss your hard earn bitcoin.

As you can see, these things are only successful if you win and much stressful if you dont. What do you choose? What do you recommend? Need some answers.

Well, I still choose to hold and not to play as the chance of getting a win is very slim.
10293  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC down to 6654 in Japanese time on: April 06, 2018, 09:44:50 PM
There are definitely a force pushing down the price at the moment. Just as it is about to break out, they dump coins on the market and it goes down again. This has been going on for the last couple of months now. Someone does not like the idea that Bitcoin should break out, like it did last year and they are dumping coins to prevent that.

Their resources will run out soon. ^lol^

Correct, well one face was already unmasked, which is the Mt. Gox trustee offloading bitcoin since last year but was not caught up because they are a lot of buyers that time. However, starting this year, when we are about to break out, seems that we can't get to the next levels until someone exposes him.

In my view, the reason why we are still going down despite the Mt. Gox trustee no longer dumping the coins is that the daily traders simply taking profits the moment they see the price is already ripe for the taking.
10294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Small Waves after G20 - Why on: April 06, 2018, 09:24:17 PM
After G20 the market up, but stay the positions, with small waves !
Fear ?, dont recover con-fiance in market ?
I think the news area very good, and the world wake up for BlockChain and Cryptos !

The G20 meeting already made bitcoin to push above $8K-$9K, sadly though its not sustainable as other negative news comes in like Social media's banning crypto ads that pull the price once again to the current levels. Let's wait and see on July as the members will not to find middle ground for crypto regulations.

I think regulation will be a common topic in crypto this year, we might have reached a psychological threshold which requires institutional money to propell us to the next level. that ensuing stability will encourage retail investors who invested around the top in Dec to return to the space too

I agree that regulations will be the thing this year. Its one reason why we are not enjoying the perks last December. And now people are afraid to invest again because of heavy regulations. But regulations is good in my opinion, at least it will give legitimacy to crypto so that investors will pour more money again in the ecosystem.
10295  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So what's stopping china from banning bitcoin mining? on: April 06, 2018, 09:03:55 PM
Chinese people still accepting and trading cryptocurrencies as i can see. And there is no declaration from the gov that they are going to ban Bitcoin mining.
[/quote

Not yet but sooner or later they will. Bitmain already made contingency plans already, so for me that's a sign that they are afraid that the government may clamp down on bitcoin mining as well. They are eyeing Canada and other bitcoin friendly so let's see. Of course they can still trade bitcoin through OTC and they can't really ban it. However, I think it will be good if Chinese miners move of mainland so that miners will not be centralized in that country alone and that it will be spread out in different continents.
10296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How stable is Bitcoin. on: April 05, 2018, 06:23:54 PM
Entering month of April, we are seeing the gradual increment on bitcoin's value. This leads to me this question, How stable is bitcoin? What are the factors indicating its constant movement aside from the fact that compared from the last years its value was unfathomable in a financial sense but sudden drops oppressing lots of investors. What sort of deem of hope to investors not to become disoriented and eventually selling there btc shares as its value decrease. What do you think guys?

For me its looks like we really need one positive news that will bring back the confidence and renewed the interest of the investors to pump new money in the ecosystem so that they will not think of offloading this because they have somewhat lose their faith on the market.

Yes, there is still hope like Lightning Network. If this scalable solution be implemented, I think it will be the new catalyst for the market to bounce back at least to the 5 digits again and swayed more investors to the market.
10297  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we need regulations? on: April 05, 2018, 05:54:52 PM
If if really brings good impact to the market then why not? Like giving confidence to the investors to put their cash on the market again so that we can see bitcoin prices picks up in the future then I'm all good with regulations.

Remember G20 meeting has bring positive note on the market like 3 weeks ago and they do talk about regulations. And they will come out with a regulatory framework in July so let's see if it going to be good for us.
10298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: April 05, 2018, 05:30:16 PM
Spurs lose against the Lakers 122-112 in OT. Lakers played from the last minutes in regulation with their bench and Kuzma. Looks like Coach Luke Walton wanted to rest their starters and give some experience to the young squad of the Lakers (Or tanking) who were playing great basketball, especially against a veteran team in the Spurs that had a back to back game yesterday. Great game for the Lakers and a fatal lost for the Spurs who are still debating about their seeding in Playoffs. Lets see if they can keep that streak of consecutive Playoffs clinched in a row.

The Lakers derailed San Antonio again. Because we all know how the West team is bunch from 5th-9th seed with 3 games remaining. If San Antonio for unknown reasons failed to reach the playoff this year, this game will haunt them. Again, Kyle Kuzma played one of this best games scoring 30 points and without starter Lonzo on the game, I can't really think what went wrong with San Antonio and losing this crucial match against the Lakers.
10299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez tested positive on a banned substance on: April 05, 2018, 05:12:53 PM
Well it look likes Canelo is withdrawing his fight with Golovkin because its unlikely the NSAC will likely allow him to fight and might be looking for a long term suspension. See the video below.

http://fighthype.com/news/article32862.html

So Golovkin will have to look for another dancing partner here. I hope that the rematch will push immediately as Golovkin i not getting any younger as well.
10300  Economy / Speculation / Re: Easter 2018 correction is NORMAL - if it stays above 5800 on: April 01, 2018, 09:15:22 PM
So far, we are repeating 2014 very closely.

A dead cat bounce to 11k starting in April off the 6kish area and ending by the beginning of June would fit this perfectly.

Hmm. Nice theory but we need to wait and see how it goes. Bitcoin has been said many times that its either in a bull trap or dead cat bounce but it has been proven wrong. We have double bottom already, so it makes sense if a bounce is imminent. Its early to say that we are bouncing to $11K in April or we are going to see it plummet even deeper. So even in this crisis, I'm fairly optimistic that we can recover but I don't see it repeating the 2014 debacle of mostly bearish trend.
