10361  Economy / Speculation / Re: Segwit is comming soon, only a matter of time we explode to 1000+ on: September 29, 2016, 04:47:56 AM
Segwit is getting activated really soon now, 0.13.1 is only weeks away:

https://twitter.com/bitcoincoreorg/status/780798709210746880

It's going to be great and it will translate in the price sooner than later, get ready.

I do not think so. Whatever news we have collected and know right now is already translated in the price. If price of Bitcoin really will go to $1000+ why not today? We all have the same information dont we? It will take a while longer before we will see Bitcoin to go back above $1000 and stay above it. A most optimistic prediction for me is maybe by the end of 2017. Most likely it will be later in 2018 - 2019, and that is still a big maybe.
10362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 29, 2016, 03:50:53 AM
he almost did it but unfortunately Bayern Munich only can reach semifinal and indeed for those who be the manager of Bayern win the Bundesliga is too usual because maybe this is mandatory for almost every Bayern Munich coaches and perhaps fans want more rather than league trophy and looks like Ancelotti has start it
He even couldnt brought Bayern Muenchen to final of Champions League, so I think he was totally failed and the term 'almost' is not suitable. Well now, Bayern have Ancelotti as their new coach who have amazing record in Champions League. We will see what he can give for Bayern.

Well with the recent loss to Atletico Madrid the managers of the other teams will now start studying that game and try to find the weaknesses of Bayern Munich. Even their local rival Borussia Dortmund might try to use some of the same tactics utilized by Diego Simeone. But I do not think that any team can copy it easily. Atletico was very good in timing their tackles and very aggressive with their pressing.
10363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price? on: September 29, 2016, 03:20:13 AM
The price of the bitcoin whwat will it do till the end of this year for now he is circling round the 600 dollar maybe some times even more but i dont think he is going to hit the 700 again this year.
i think i would be trading about 800$ in present time if the bitfinex issue was not happen, so not its price will cross the 1000$ level in the end of 2016 and may be cross the all time high price level and make a new all time high record.

Bitcoin was was going sideways before the Bitfinex hack occured and there is no hype or good news at present to cause the whales and traders to start pumping it. So Bitcoin at $800 would still not happen. Maybe it would try to move past $680 - $700 range but that would be it. It will still be under $700 even if the hack did not occur. Of course it just my humble opinion because I am no expert and I am only using the past price movements as basis to make a simple analysis.
10364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin P2P lending is dead. on: September 29, 2016, 02:49:51 AM
In my opinion P2P lending has always been dead, people simply end up using their loan on either something they know is incredibly risky and not worth taking the chance on with their own money, or they ask to get funded and then dip out and forget about paying it back ever again, happy with their payout.

P2P lending was a good concept, but with nothing to enforce it, it is useless.

This is true, that is why setting up some sort of system for verification to be done also peer to peer and for the borrower to have some sort of collateral to offer for the loan is a must. Surely the collateral has to be a digital product but the problem is what? Peer to peer lending could have a bright future especially with the advent of cryptocurrencies. If someone smart can solve the small fusses and problems it is actually a good idea.

10365  Economy / Economics / Re: The next financial crisis and Bitcoin on: September 29, 2016, 02:00:20 AM
There are nothing wrong with the protection of your wealth in uncertain economic times, but too much hoarding will also slow down adoption and growth. If nobody is selling any coins and/or using them, the merchants will stop accepting it as a payment method. There needs to be a fine balance between the bitcoins being used and the bitcoins being hoarded.

I try to hoard about 80% of my coins, but still use about 20% to stimulate the Bitcoin economy. ^smile^

But is it really the ordinary user's fault? If you check the Bitcoin's rich list you will see and realize that they are the individuals who are really hoarding most of the coins. If there is someone who holds the responsibility to use the coins for the sake of the Bitcoin economy, it is them. It is also in their interest to do so to avoid stagnation for their coins.

can you shoe us this rich list i would love to see the list and also know who are these people who are hoarding bitcoin.

mainly because as far as i know, these lists are only having addresses with big amounts of bitcoin on them and they are mostly belonging to the major businesses like exchanges for example and we never know one person that has a big balance because they are careful and spread it among multiple btc addresses.

Ok I admit that it will be hard to pinpoint any person who holds a large amount of Bitcoins because they might be spreading them out in multiple wallets. But what I am saying is still true. There are Bitcoin millionaires who hoard as much coins as they can. They are the people who are the real impediment in the Bitcoin economy. Most of the ordinary users of this forum do not have much Bitcoins and only get what they can thru faucets and signature campaigns. So why put the responsibility of the Bitcoin economy on their shoulders? That is unfair.

10367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Upside breakout above ~$800 in Medium-Term... on: September 28, 2016, 07:35:52 AM
OP thanks for the in-depth analysis. To be honest the title plus this statement by you is confusing me "As long as we stay in this area there won't be all that much to do on the trading front, although as this range tightens the likelihood of a breakout in either direction inevitably increases."

What is the likelihood of Bitcoin going to $800 in the medium term if you use the price movement during the recent 2 months as basis? I do agree that there will not be that much trading if everything stays the same because for me the price has to go down first so that more accumulation can happen. At the present price and movement we see neither accumulation or selling and one has to give way to prop up trading again.

No offense but thinking about Bitcoin going to $800 for the medium term is too optimistic if we use the recent data as basis.

10368  Economy / Economics / Re: The next financial crisis and Bitcoin on: September 28, 2016, 05:57:57 AM
I am aware that the US will not allow that to happen. They have too much power and influence and it will be against China's best interest if the $ goes down in value. It is a known fact the China holds a lot of $ and also holds a lot of US debt. They might even be helping the US behind the scenes to keep it from collapsing.

I was just posting that news only because it is an extreme prediction and something that might be to the benefit of Bitcoin.
10369  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why Bitcoin P2P lending is dead. on: September 28, 2016, 05:15:22 AM
I do not know what kind of security and identity checks and verification the site has but would it be a better idea to let the lender handle these things himself? All the site has to do is to make the guidelines on how and what kind of ID the lender should ask for from the borrower, what kind of collateral in case of non-payment and all that stuff. Recording all the transactions made will also be the site's responsibility. Other than that everything should be between the lender and the borrower. If someone wanted to borrow Bitcoins from me I should have the right to ask some ID and all other information from the borrower directly.

If you trust the site to do everything for you and let anybody borrow Bitcoins from you then that is just plain stupid.
10370  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price? on: September 28, 2016, 02:33:02 AM
I would welcome a drop to $500 or the lower $500's. I actually am hoping and wishing for it because with Bitcoin a drop in price should be looked at as an opportunity to buy more coins at bargain prices. It has proven to be a good investment and with still a lot of potential for growth. Some do not believe a $10,000 per BTC price but I do and it makes sense. It is the only way for Bitcoin to lower its volatility percentage-wise.
So you believe that cheap bitcoin is the key and also you want price to reach $10 000? Isn't it a bit contradictory. It is true that more people will be able to buy BTC this way.
But do you really think that this will be game changing opportunity for people? It is better to have stable price for once. It will show people that BTC could be FIAT replacement.

Please reread my post again, I said I would welcome a drop to $500 because I would see it as an opportunity to buy more at a bargain. Bitcoin to $10,000 is in a very different sentence entirely. I only expressed that it would reduce the volatility of Bitcoin in percentage. Imagine a $100 - $200 swing if the price per coin is $10,000. It will be on the low side compared to the current price of Bitcoin at $600. Do you get the point?

Maybe the next financial is already starting today. Has anyone seen this news?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoA-rlpVJp0

Ron Paul is claiming that the US Dollar will collapse on September 27, 2016. That is today! He is also saying that gold's price will go to infinity. Bitcoin could also possibly be one of the safe havens where the people outside of the community can store their wealth. Now might be a good time to start talking and educating about Bitcoin.
10372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 28, 2016, 01:37:30 AM
That is very true, Falconer. Guardiola never really made an impact with Bayern Munich unlike the very huge impact he made with Barcelona. The Bayern fans did not even think that he was "one of them" when it was announced that he was going to leave the club. Some even say that Guardiola's performance in managing in Germany was mediocre except for a few tactical changes he brought with him.
10373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: September 28, 2016, 01:06:11 AM
I am beginning to accumulate some ETC and I am planning to put them in cold storage. Is it the same process as Bitcoin? In Bitcoin I go to bitaddress.org and generate a wallet while I am offline. Can I do the same process using classicetherwallet.com?
10374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 27, 2016, 05:36:10 AM
Great start to the season for Carlo Ancelotti who has won all 8 official  matches with 27 goals scored and and just one goal conceded. No coach had ever won at bayern munich the first 8 matches of his management in 116 years of history.

Yes that is very impressive. All the pundits thought that he is already going down as a manager and his great start with Bayern Munich has proven all the pundits wrong. Not even Guardiola, who is regarded as the best manager in the world has made such a start in his career with Bayern.

Anyway my prediction for this week's game between my BVB and Bayer Leverkusen is either a low scoring 1 - 1 affair or possibly even BVB losing 2 - 1.  With Aubameyang injured I think they will have a lot of difficulty making goals. Dembele is good but he does not have the same experience as Aubameyang. So the rest of the team must step up.
10375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC / ETH - Technical Trading and Analysis on: September 27, 2016, 05:16:48 AM
Adaseb, can you do a quick analysis on ETC? I am looking to go into it for the long term and I would want to know at what price is a good entry point. This will be my first long term cryptocurrency ever outside of Bitcoin so I would like to know if now is the best time to enter.
10376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: September 27, 2016, 04:08:37 AM
Borussia Dortmund may be without Aubameyang at the game versus Real Madrid tonight. I believe the best they can hope for might only be a draw because losing him in a game will impact them a lot negatively. I hope he gets back to being healthy and fit to play as soon as possible. My prediction for this game is 1 - 1.
10377  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest way to earn bitcoin on: September 27, 2016, 02:35:05 AM
This is my method in earning bitcoin. I go for forum site and faucet site for earning capital funds. Then invest my bitcoin to online investment site. Other option is trade my bitcoin in trading site. Buy for stacks and sell it as price is up. And last option is gambling I try my luck to bet to grow my bitcoins.

That is certainly a way to earn some easy Bitcoins. Also add joining a signature campaign if you think you are a good poster. But for what you need since you mentioned "capital funds", I assume you want to make good, decent money by using Bitcoin as an investment vehicle. The best way would then be not the easy way. The people who made it big in speculating and investing did not start by earning their capital from faucets. They usually had the know how in trading and investing and then took loans and used that as starting capital.
10378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Business Ideas? on: September 27, 2016, 01:55:16 AM
Simple Bitcoin related businesses one can start:

1. Start your own faucet
2. Create a blog about crypto or technology
3. Start a Bitcoin forum Going to be hard because of Bitcointalk. Cheesy.
4. Start a faucet rotator/list and get profit from referral
5. Buy crypto related domains and sell them off
6. Day trading
6.5. Create a profitable robot to do day trading for you

Just some idea I came up with in 2 minutes. Hope you enjoy. Smiley.

What about starting a forum that caters specifically for altcoins? You can even copy the current system that Bitcointalk is using, like the rankings, trust system and the ability for different businesses to start signature campaigns. I do still think that this forum is still best but the altcoin section needs to be improved. The posters there are mostly spamming and trolling. So maybe it is good to start another altcoin forum and maintain the quality of posts there.
10379  Economy / Economics / Re: The next financial crisis and Bitcoin on: September 27, 2016, 01:25:35 AM
if the next financial crisis happens then people will definitely be screwed, but bitcoins could actually help prevent it

While I see Bitcoin can help people in a financial crisis, I fail to see how it can prevent one. I just cannot see that happening. The last financial crisis was actually caused by a lot of greedy bankers selling loans that were lumped together and were graded as A+, when it actuality they were all junk. They manipulated the system into getting what they want. So please explain to us how you think Bitcoin can prevent the next financial crisis.
