I downloaded the MAC wallet and it's very slow and gets hung up all the time. Are you guys experiencing the same thing?
I use the Mac wallet and have had no issues. Do you have more specifics on where/when the client is getting hung up or acting slow? I assume you have the latest version (1.1.6.5) downloaded directly from the website https://cryptogenicbullion.org/#download? It gets hung up at start-up. It takes like 3 minutes to launch. Ok, yes, my client takes a couple of minutes to load but seems to load faster than my Bitcoin client. You are not experiencing performance issues then, just a slower than desired start-up? It's been my target since I started mining, it seems like quite a few people have the same target, would be nice to see who is a member of the 1k CGB club! I'm almost half way there, target is to be there by the end of Feb!

If I keep them in cold storage then I don't get interest right?
You still earn interest, you just have to import your private key or add your wallet.dat (depending on your method of cold storage) every 30 days. For max interest, you would do this every 90 days. This is what I do and suggest to all. 30 days is 1.2% per year but if you do every 90 days then it is 1.5% interest yearly. |

(If you forget or lose your password your CGB will be lost forever!!!!) This part scares me.  How different is that from leaving your physical wallet at a sports bar after having a few drinks in real life? You just left it there, came back for it, and it was gone. That is the same concept. Don't forget your password, and back up your wallet in safe places. I really don't want to get into a big discussion, but it's a lot different. Just about anything I keep in my physical wallet can be replaced...easily. 1K CGB is now out of circulation for the next 2-3 years. I just finished accumulating 1k CGB and nobody can have them anymore. They're all mine. Awesome! Congrats! Btw, Finite By Design offers pretty cool cold storage device (Crypto-Cards). Just bought 500 for my first investment in CGB. I want to have 1K coins, but it's very tough to buy without spiking the price. It will probably take me another couple of days of trading.

Is there a plan for 2014 for CGB?
Over the last few weeks it has plummeted in value, which is great for buying more (which I'm doing), just not so great if it keeps going down to zero!
I know MadeSparq is still being worked on but there's not been any real updates on it for a while, is there anything in the immediate pipeline? or at least a timeline of some sort so we know when to expect updates?
It would just be good to have some fairly regular updates to keep the interest strong and the value & hash rates strong.

Yes, there are plans for CB in 2014. As you mentioned, MADEsparq is in development. Additionally we have expanded the CB team and we are prioritizing our projects and marketing plans. We will continue to share with the community as much as possible and as often as possible. Stay tuned |
