What is wrong with using free windows 10?
Why should I have to completely reinstall an OS from scratch on all my machines to run an OS I despise for it's built-in spyware issues and VERY POOR stability instead of sticking with my RELIABLE LINUX OS setup? Oh yeah, did I forget to mention "far easier to clone when building a NEW machine" using built-in LINUX "DD" command vs being forced to reinstall from scratch to do a "free" Win10 installation on a new machine? VERY FEW MINING RIGS RUN WINDOWS AT ALL - there are REASONS for that, and they ALL apply to bloody Windows 10. Not sure why you are so angry lmao. I was talking to the guy running windows 7 with a lot of issues. |

After quite a bit of research, trial and error related to why my Wifi Network slows to a crawl or stops when mining ETH on Claymore Miner.
Long story story short, I started using the Ethermine Pool and for whatever reason, I am now able to mine and surf the web, watch Netflix on other computers etc.
I just resolved this all last night.

1070s are worth the additional cost imo. You can dual mine ETH at 32 MH/s and only draw 75W with the right settings. I also pay .12/KW and have found these to be the most flexible and power efficient across various algos. If you're in it for the long haul might as well scoop up some 1070s, better resale value as well.
I was under the impression 1070 needed atleast 120w to be stable. Same question here, how could get 1070 with 75w and 30mh/s? Actually 31.3 MH/s ETH w/ 315 PASC per card at 79.5W to be precise. TDP is 150W right? I run it at 53% TDP. So you aren't actually measuring the power at the wall, just doing some theoretical math? Well its graded at 150W so I would assume 53% of that is 79.5. At the wall is variable depending on the psu I use but it's around 80-90W. It depends on the GPU. Some 1070's can have 215w TDP but most are usually 150-170. This is why we measure at the wall for accurate results. |

Tryid it on 280x Got 12-13mh per one(8.1x64, cm9.  ...nothing change from 15.12 driver. Stupid amd didn't applied their fix to truly good cards  Where you found this driver for Windows 8.1? On AMD website i found just for windows 7 and windows 10. I used win7 driver on win8.1, with win 7 compatibility option during installing. I have a problem. If I install any driver higher than 16.11 and start msi my hashrate is always 4 mhs on all cards. I know this is stuck in low power stat at 300/300. I can set all options in the .bat and they work fine on higher drivers. I do have setx's set in my bat.I am also using 9.8 but every version gives the same result. Msi running makes all card stay at 4mhs. I tried changing options in msi. Including kernal/user mode, voltage enable/disable,disable dsp,extend overclocking ect. Any idea's?
I was getting windows 10 error that graphic process was being limited. I google that and changed regit to have tdrdelay of 8. That did not fix it either. I do have 32 gb of virtual memory set.
Hey I had the exact same issue with my rx470. After 10 hours of trying I finally found out what was wrong. The problem is with AfterBurner - you need to uninstall it before replacing old drivers with new ones. So the correct procedure is: 1. Uninstall MSI Afterburner 2. Uninstall drivers with DDU in safe mode 3. Install the freshly-downloaded driver from setup 4. Before restart install and run the atikmdag patcher 5. Install Beta MSI Afterburner (I installed latest 4.4.0 beta16) 6. Restart and tweak your rig And you should be ready to mine at full speed again Personaly for me the difference is from 131 Mh/s to 138 Mh/s with power use rising from 400w to 460w. Or you just hit the reset button on each GPU and input your OC settings. |

Try with Afterburner 4.4.0 Beta 16
AB 4.4.0 Beta 16 either crashes my rig or messes things up... I'd rather have stable rigs with a bit of fluctuations in the voltages than have an unstable rig. But that's just me  I had to reset each card and manually add the old OC values for it to work in beta 16. Also make sure you delete any old claymore OC or Fan command lines in your start.bat. |

So should we immediately install the new AMD beta driver to fix the DAG issue? Then run patcher and restart?
There is no officially released AMD beta driver, install the user hacked version at your own risk. Yes there is an official fix which was released today. Look around the forums. |

afterburner (beta) is having major issues with this driver ATM.
I can confirm though that the DAG issue has been resolved with RX 480 with this driver...
But cannot control fan speed or much of anything through 4.4.0 afterburner. I am going to try setting with Claymore next.

drivers fucked my install up (did not do a full refresh, doing it now) 5x RX 480 8GB
I suggest wiping drivers completely before installing.

apply atikmdag patch.
reboot.
before going into windows, screen is black, and that's it.
Maybe its time to install free win10?  |

This driver at 1stminingrig isn't the official driver release. This was the leaked one by robinhood which was posted on these forums a week ago. |

AV doesen't always detect new malware. If you suspect you're machine was compromised with malware, the only way to be sure it's cleaned from your system is to do a format of drive the and reinstall of the OS from a known good source.
Just one format doesnt always get rid of a virus. |
