Another scam on claymore. Probably stealing more than he is saying too
It's actually really accurate to what he's claiming, I've been using it sense he first released it. I monitored it with Wireshark and even used sandboxie also used VMware as well as look at this patch and everything seem's fine and I get a little increased share count from the fee's. I'm pretty sure u gave 0% evidence to back up your claim. If you Don't trust it then move along and use the regular version, which nothing is wrong with that either. No one is going to listen to some random 2 post person, sorry.

Okay, after 3 months of mining during the last couple weeks rig has been freezing and the last line of the log file indicates:
GPU got incorrect temperature 511 ignore
What the hell does that mean? Since I got this message, rig has been doing this at random times. Sometimes it'll take 7 days, sometimes 5 days. I just don't get what's wrong with my rig.
If these are failing risers, they shouldn't even last more than 24 hrs mining, but they're stable AF until this message.
6x 580s Win10 Pro Modded bios 1160/2100/875 Claymore v9.8 Aug11 blockchain drivers
Thoughts?
Maybe a windows update snuck in there and fucked everything up? Try claymore v10?

Correct, this is why I'm confused.

How do you guys like the SC2 over the FTW edition? any benefit?
Are they FTW3 editions? Pretty sure FTW is better than SC2.

Hi All,
I've been using Claymore 9.6 for a few months now, and didn't want to update it because I didn't want to deal with potential bugs.
Anyway, I just learned of Stales Shares and how older miners might cause more. I notice I'm getting about 5% Stale Shares now.
How much are you getting? What miner and version are you using?
Me: Claymore 9.6, 5% stale shares
Block time reduced so stale shares increased on Ethermine. Maybe they can fix it but who knows.

windows defender block to operate this claymore version why ? Any one know the solution ?
Not very bright for a blockchain dev

yeah don't use SATA to power anything, only use molex, 6 and 8 pins.

check all your risers and power connections for melted cables.

In my mix of cards I've only one Gigabyte cards, an RX480, and it has not been melting, but I've two XFX RX580's and they all have the melting thermal pad problem. Some people have had this problem with Sapphire RX480.
I have this problem with Sapphire RX480 Nitro (plain Nitro, not +). Almost all these cards are dripping oil, to a different extent. I use to clean them with ethanol every 2-3 months, including the metallic base of the heatsink - from my experience, oil gathers around heatpipes and makes a nasty grease in combination with dust. I also have XFX RX480 RS. Although XFX cooling system is much poorer than Sapphire Nitro (memory chips are not connected to heatsink and may heat up to 110-120 C), it does not have the problem of melting pads. Needed to say that I keep my Sapphires at 63-65C and the XFX at 57C (core temp). Did someone use both ethanol and isopropyl to clean this silicone oil? Which alcohol works best? I remember another post someone claimed it was oil from the fans leaking out. Probably best to RMA them.

System could be crashing due to not enough power being provided. blockchain drivers use more power so make sure you meet basic power requirements and not undervolted requirements. You could try installing it on fewer cards then add the rest individually and manually install the drivers through device manager.

Have you tried the block chain drivers?

lets not forget about the hot stale air and strong electromagnetic field.

I am looking to add 2-3 cards of the RX 470 Mining Edition to one new rig I am building. I was browsing at ebay and come out at the picture below, the seller had only 9 buys and 0 sells although 100% positive in feedback. Can 45 watt bring you 30.5 Mhash as if this is for real I am buying right away one card today ? Probably not 45watts at the wall. You can always return them if they dont match the description through ebay.

I like the Acer front panel power switch. Just in case you weren't aware you can buy 1070's new for $399-425, and they will probably get cheaper once the 1070ti's are released in a couple weeks.

Using SATA to PCI-E adapters on risers is a BAD IDEA - the SATA power connection is not rated for enough 12v DC to handle the typical 70 watts most "mining" GPUs pull out of the PCI-E bus connection.
You can connect most risers direct to your power supply with a standard PCI-E 6-pin connection - which IS rated to handle the load VERY safely.
they are not eat 70W from sata - typically it is about 3-5W all required power vga takes from 6x8pins from power supply my friend had measured - and seems the system "knows" there is not enough power from risers and switches to main psu for required power from sata comes the power to power the riser itself, that's all! No, this is incorrect.

Hi QuintLea, I read in some post that SATA is prone to catch fire in this kind of extended run. Can you please send Amazon/any other link about the appropriated riser product so that I could review and order. Thanks again. Regards, Rizwan Both risers are perfect. Don't use the provided 6pin to sata adapter and just plug directly into them from the power supply with a 6pin power connector. You can split one 6pin to power two risers.

Ok so I fixed my issue with the low hashrate. Problem I'm having now is after a few minutes claymore will crash the computer, in the sense that the screen goes black and the fans on the video cards go to max and I have to reboot the pc physically. I do notice before it crashes, the hashrate starts dropping, little by little until it puts the pc back into that crashed state. Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Claymore keeps charging his 1-3% but refuses to fix this bug that is constanly reducing our payouts and earning from mining its really frustrating, I constaly get connections closed on some machines on claymore v10 and v9.8 and when that happens the miner either crashes or i see that stupid 8mhs hash rate issue I am sure all other AMD and RX users are familar with I wish there was another working miner i could use , but Genoli seems to have been abandoned /sigh This was added to Ethminer but no overclocking control and you have to use a separate watchdog script. There is a post on this forum somewhere about it but you'll have to dig it up yourself. https://github.com/goobur/ethminer-cm/releaseshttps://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/releases
