Thing is...Boolberry(BBR) has had an instamine And Botnets....that one guy with the PGPU, was making 7k Boolberry a day, now hes making 1k. That's still 2 BTC worth of Boolberry per day, and he was making 14 BTC worth of boolberry per day less than a month ago, plus the amount of botnets mining that coin.
That alone, makes BBR pretty bad to invest in....the instamine for that coin is simply too much, the # of boolberry he has atm, and could dump is extremely scary...combined with the botnets? No deal.
I'm not much of the investor but I'll address this instamine and botnets in the context XMR and BBR. Firstly, why do you think that that XMR is in any different position than BBR regarding botnets? Secondly, if a guy come forward telling that he has optimized private miner for BBR does not mean that none is having optimized GPU miner for XMR. CriptoNight is not exactly new thing, so assuming that none has optimized miner for it is naive. Speaking about optimized NVIDIA miner for BBR, autor's condition for opensourcing the miner is actually doing very good thing for BBR project, but that is not the theme of this thread. i think xmr will never hit the roof. some other coin will, after we get open source gpu ang lot of shit fixed. we are facing first time that first good copy coin will hit xmr down, when time is right..

posting this here its not good news for Claymore MinerProxy v0.4 Download: https://mega.co.nz/#!WJM2wQZY!YU9QFgnX0vTsfR5PypYNZIjbf_j2lKbezUh74r89kWA No more fees. Replace DevFee address with MinerProxy, and add fee to your balance. Instructions - Enter proxy port, ex. 5555 - Enter pool address and port without stratum+tcp:// or http:// (ex. xmr1.crypto-pool.fr:3333) - Enter Your Coin Addresses where DevFee coins will be payed out, (may be the same address where you mine or different, doesn't matter) - Point your miner to MinerProxy (ex. -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:5555, if proxy is installed on localhost) - Other miners also work with this proxy, so You can easily change pool for all Your rigs. - For failover, start more proxy instances with different ports, and put those addresses to pool.txt If You like it donate some XMR to the author of the software... XMR: 46huLCNkxF5efM526TR5FhDiMNAsRtdbv4NigL5NSgp3T5FB8Xq3EbLQfhDcLVGFsxLHDTtU7MKDucv u4qFr4C73V1GTJHu Seems too good to be true lol... And bit dodgy... anyone tried it with success ? Works great! Easy to set up. can you tell me how it works?I make .bat file like this: NsGpuCNMiner -o stratum+tcp://127.0.0.1:5555 -u wallet adress -p x and i still see dev getting share on the miner what should i write to dev fee xmr on the program? If you entered your address in the field DevFee, than devfee goes to your xmr address I'm testing it with other than main mining address... so far NO shares on other adress... will report back in 15 min ALREADY GOT THE FIRST SHARE ON OTHER ADRESS looks like it's legit miner works but i dont see any share on the pool edit:it works now but it looks like sometimes miner forwarded to another private pool miner or proxy forwarded to another private pool? seems like my miner sometimes fails to send shares(without proxy)

For those concerned with all the pools cutting Claymores fee and Claymores miner in general I have already started a project with a "well known" dev to create a Open Source GPU miner which "might" be released in a week or two as per the dev.
This is going to cost me , but I think it will be good for the community in general and after its revealed (+ the very talented dev aswell if he wants to) we can level out the playing field.
Those that would like to contribute to the fund after development or for further development are welcome as soon as we have a matching or better version than Claymores without any hidden or % fees.
For the times being we will have to sit tight on Claymores Gpu miner.
+1 So post an address for donations, please. A fresh one, with a view key. hear my idea let the pools block claymore fee and collect it to this open source bounty!

|
The solution is to fund the open-source ATI miner bounty. I plan to do it by using the Claymore miner, changing the donation address, and donating 100% of all mined coins to the bounty. If 20% of the hash was on such a hacked Claymore, the bounty would run to 4500 coins per day. I think we could get the work done pretty quickly at that rate.
idea, pools block the fee. then pools dontate collected coins to open source miner maybe 1000coins a day now banned from fees

i hope risto p. did not hit his hands on full load of shit this time. still time to sell. seems like we are ending to monopoly xmr, one person collecting soon 5% of daily mined coins. yep, and only because of close source miner, claymore, he kills the coin.
Are you trolling.... GPU doesnt earn more coins than a high end CPU. I've tried mining with a GPU using Claymore's miner and got LESS than I did with my CPU and EC2 instances. Claymore miner is horrible...and doesnt earn anywhere near 5% lmao. ec2 is expensive.. i can run now 2.6khs on my gpus, its 30x cheaper than ec2 this costs me 1000w, count that and see that when gpu miner came out, hash went from 3mhs to 12 mhs Hashrate went up because there are lot more bitcoiners who have GPU's from mining previous coins. But as shown..The GPU miners for monero are not as good as even a high end cpu. you are so late, no single cpu will over take gpu speeds anymore ok, some high end cpu upto 800khs, but gpus do that too Are you kidding....-facepalm-, please Read the claymore miner thread. High end CPU's are more effective than a GPU for monero at this point. show me cpu running 1khs+ speeds? Show me the GPU miner your using at 1ks+ then please. Anyone can use a gpu to mine monero with the claymore miner...its not closed source. no, its 2.67khs yes anyone can use, but u cant se what is closed source..

What are you talking about... this graph refutes you: http://monerochain.info/charts/hashrategood one, it shows where we are 75% gpu power now

STOP THE FREE RIDE FEE
first pool have break the ice as blocking claymore fees for showing it can be done. it is now only matter of time other pools to ban the fee, permanenty you will soon see first good pool blocking fees rising with their hashrates to the roof. whos pool will it be?
