because I know who two of them are from working on bitgold but there was another I dont know but have a vague idea

you are close.
one of them was on the news, he was feeling like stupid when he sold his coins early
his profit from btc: he still got a house, some traveling, says now all money gone

they left many clues who and where they are..

first clue, block number 1.

707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Paycoin on: January 04, 2015, 11:56:00 PM

708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoins are all dead on: January 04, 2015, 11:13:50 PM
Horrible choice , Peercoin is a dying coin look at the 24 hour volume.

Hodl btc and ltc and stop trying to become a overnight millionaire with crappy scam coins .

You think Peercoin is a "crappy scam" coin ?

This is an extremely clueless remark in my opinion.

Whatever volume statistics say, Peercoin is one of the very few alts that actually has a degree of originality behind it that would put it head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to contemplating a future cryptocurrency economy.

NXT is also trading on low volume and low price, but it's about the only alt I wouldn't even contemplate ditching right now - I don't care how low it goes. It's already justified it's marketcap simply in network services - never mind the fact that their potential is only starting to be realised by client software under development.

I agree about BTC and LTC on the basis of adoption, but jeez, if any coin justifies inheriting Bitcoin's legacy, it's definitely Peercoin, not Litecoin.

Peercoin is a scam that makes the rich richer by doing nothing .

Anyways I don't need to further explain how shit peercoin  and it's anonymous dev is , go look at the 24 hour volume.

scam is clear now
709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Orbitcoin v1.5.0.0 ~ NeoScrypt ~ Green Stake on: January 04, 2015, 03:21:33 PM
just realised what is the case with peercoin

nice too see this one is not based on same scam
diff system seems to be fair
no matter if there some bugs one the way, but still the dev is fair

i guess there is one feature everyone would want:
your "best share" added to stats to see how close you have been finding a block
Yes Please! That would greatly help those of us whose miners do not report the best share Smiley

or those that rent miners and have no way of knowing how close they came.

This could be done but would require new code, testing and a pool restart. I'm loathe to touching the pool when everything's stable even if the downtime would be very short.

The pool works.  Don't touch it  Smiley
my vote is for adding this even if it will mean some down time people would be informed
i hate when renting rigs and never know how close i was

Does it really matter how close you were?  There are no bitcoins for second place.  Either you find the block or you don't.

Current difficulty is 40,640,955,017  and if I find a share with difficulty of 40,640,955,016 or 2, it doesn't matter, no block for me.

it does matter, read above.. it really makes pools more reliable
i have no means to know if my rented found a block(unless rig owner tells me i found 40g++ share), it could be mined to non public wallet

Guess I read that a little too quickly.

That would make sense when renting rigs (I don't have any experience with that).

that is the fun part of this, lottery to rent 100++ THs and feel lucky

Any blocks found yet?

It's very easy to find the block found reports in this thread.  All you have to do is look.

odds tells that someone is about to find block in next 7 days..

really would like to know if is it possible to add that users best share in stats
it would make pool( and any other pools using same source) more reliable since then pool would be caught if stealing hashpower to another non public walllet.
not telling that anyone is doing it but it is possible

in my mind: possible scam(or extreme bad luck)= http://bitsolo.net
last block 17th August 2014 - 17:00 , hash power sometimes more than here

So tempted to spend 2btc on 5-6hrs mining @ 700Th

would use same money to longer mining time slower hash
