Leverkusen have made a huge progress with Xabi Alonso until now. Currently we are seeing them on top of the standings. But they are going to have their biggest test in 9 days. Their job will be really challenging in Allianz Arena. Because Bayern Munich look much more different than last season. Kane addition has started to make difference for the team already. In Tuchel's system the team play looks better also.

My opinion on this match is that Bayern Munich will win anyway. However my expectations from Leverkusen for the whole season are quite big. If they maintain consistency I believe in them to fight for the league title until last weeks.

If they do this I will be considering Xabi Alonso as Real Madrid's next manager. You know that Ancelotti will leave next summer and Xabi Alonso is drawing attention to himself a lot.

Actually PSG still have an impressive squad with young talents. Losing Messi and Neymar isn't good news for most of the fans of course but this was going to happen sooner or later. Messi was already thinking of leaving the team much earlier. Neymar was getting injured quite often at the same time so it was good for PSG to part ways with him.

Now they will just need to be patient for a while. These new youngsters would need some time to show better performances. I'm curious about especially Kolo Muani. PSG spent a lot of money for him. He can be a great investment for the long-term depending on his effort. Do you think Kolo Muani can score many goals in his first season?

Wasn't it too early to sack Quique Setién for Villarreal? I mean the last season didn't went bad for this team in the first place. They finished in 5th place which helped them join the Europa League group stage. I'm aware of the bad start they have made to this season with only 3 points in 4 matches.

But it is still early to decide to sack your manager while your last season effort wasn't poor. Sevilla started even worse than them for example but they haven't sacked Mendilibar right away. They won the Europa League title of course. But still I don't think it is fair to make this decision at the beginning already.

Getting a striker like Haaland would be a miracle for PSG anyway. Things are not looking good at PSG at the moment. Especially after losing their important players, Mbappe will not be next year, so they will have to hold on tighter this year. This year may be better for PSG, of course, who will add to their squad during the interim transfer period, all will be shaped accordingly.

When it comes to Haaland he will have a release clause to be active next year. He will be able to be signed by spending 200 million euros if I'm not wrong. Haaland is also open to play for different teams throughout his career. Who knows maybe PSG can also try their luck with him.  Grin

But it depends on whether they will lose Mbappe next summer. Because for now there is still no progress on his contract extension. It won't be easy for PSG this time to convince him to stay longer. But they had better do their best because they are getting really weak without him for now.

Who wouldn't be tempted by 251 million EURO well Liverpool could get some decent players with that money, but back to Jurgen Klopp's statement that Mohamed Salah will not be leaving.

But there are rumors circulating that if it doesn't happen in the transfer window now it might happen in the winter or in the next season on the basis that Mohamed Salah has been targeted by the Saudi club, maybe Liverpool by considering his manageman.

There is nothing wrong with Al-Ittihad's offer, the average Arab club offers above the average market price.

I agree that the offer is really tempting. I think Liverpool really would like to get this much money from Salah's sale but they just can't do this now. Because they won't be able to bring anyone to replace him until January. Salah's absence would be felt a lot and they would start performing much worse while everything is going fine.

There is no need to take a risk now. Liverpool would just wait for the end of the season to think about this seriously.

If there is still an enormous offer from Saudi Arabia then there would probably be an agreement between sides. Salah would also surely get a huge contract offer.

It looks like Barcelona will finally put an end to their bad streak of not qualifying from the group stage. Because Antwerp, Porto and Shakhtar all are teams that they can defeat comfortably on paper. Maybe Porto can make more difficulties than the others but Barcelona should still be able to finish the group in 1st place.

It was really worrying to see Barcelona struggling that much for like two seasons. If they fail once again Xavi would be highly criticized and it might even affect his future at the team.

But they shouldn't fail in a group like this. The worst case scenario must be their advancing to next round by finishing as 2nd.

Kolo Muani is a brilliant transfer for PSG thinking of the future. He can actually be beneficial as of today also because he is already 24 years old. The most productive time period for a striker is said to be between the ages of 25 and 29 - as far as I know with many examples. This isn't valid for everyone of course as there are great players even at the age of 35.  Smiley

Anyway I don't see any injury information for Kolo Muani currently. Maybe he has already recovered which is good news.

I was just not expecting PSG to spend an amount like 95 million euros to sign another striker after loaning Ramos. But if Mbappe leaves next summer then PSG would make use of this transfer even more.

Dortmund appears set for a fantastic season With this new addition it seeks to win the Bundesliga. They have impressive confidence going up against Bayern Munich. I think Despite losing some important players throughout the transfer period Dortmund has a track record of making significant progress. The match against Heidenheim is essential today and they have a strong start with a 2-0 lead. Players like Emre Can are making their presence known for Terzic team which is determined to move up the league standings. Also Heidenheim offers a formidable challenge anything can happen in football and Dortmund performance is still uncertain.

Are you sure about that? Because it looks the opposite way for now. They started the season pretty poorly. First the draw against Bochum and right after that another one point against Heidenheim home. You know Heidenheim are one of the new teams of the league now. They got their first point from Dortmund after leaving 3 weeks behind.

Dortmund just can't start in a good way to the Bundesliga these days. But of course the most important part is after the first weeks of the season. They did really good about it last season. They were even in a title race until the last moments. I don't know about a title race again but I hope they don't have big difficulties in finishing in top 4.

Sainz and Perez were both in top 3 in FP1 and FP2 so far. But Free Practice sessions really don't assure anything to us. Things can change a lot as for qualifying. There is no expectation of rain at this race weekend this time. This made me sad a little after watching a lovely competition in Netherlands.  Sad

This is another race Verstappen should be winning comfortably. His car is like perfect now. He doesn't struggle with any kind of big issue this season.

I'm just waiting to see how good the competition will be for the other podium places. I hope to see Norris there again after a break of two races.

Finally a useful transfer for the midfield by Manchester United.  Smiley  I think Sofyan Amrabat has already proven his skills worthy for joining a bigger team than Fiorentina. Manchester United really needed this transfer honestly. Because there was Eriksen who was playing beside Casemiro in defensive midfield area.

Eriksen can play as central or attacking midfielder. But he isn't a defensive player. This was making the defense side of the team more unreliable.

Hopefully Amrabat can solve the issues there. But in the same way the defense line also need to be more consistent to prevent more goals.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 01, 2023, 06:01:58 PM
The game just started between Cadiz and Villarreal but there is still time to bet and can see the rates for Cadiz are good enough to take the risk because the 3.15 rate is not bad when you check the past results of this team in the games we saw and during the first minutes of the game I saw the performance of Cadiz is not bad and they are trying o score the first goal.

Cadiz started better considering the game they have been playing. While it was 1-1 Villarreal got a red card so I just expect Cadiz to turn this into an advantage and win. They have the capacity to do it as they are playing decently right now. Pedraza should have been more concentrated on his game and shouldn't have left his team in a vulnerable situation like this.  Sad

While I was writing this Cadiz won a penalty and scored it. Just as I said it will probably end up with a win for them.

Things are still going on bad for Villarreal on the first weeks of the season.

We have an ESL Pro League tournament going on in CS:GO. So far Movistar Riders have really been killing it. They have reached Group A upper final now. However they are about to take on Vitality on Sunday. I think the end of this winning streak is going to be this series. However they must have even already got past their target in the group.

I think the group leaders will be like this: Vitality, Heroic, FaZe, G2.

I'm not completely confident about Group C and D though. ENCE are one of the impressive teams recently so they have a potential to surprise us. As for Group D it is up to how big NaVi can perform. If they show weaknesses more than normal FaZe would take advantage of it nicely.
1056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 31, 2023, 07:35:35 PM
Lukaku has always been better for the Serie A rather than the Premier League. We have proof for that considering his past statistics.  Smiley  Therefore Chelsea just signed him back for nothing. They were just fascinated with his performance at Inter and forgot about their past with him. It should be due to acting amateurish otherwise there is no way you do this.

Anyway he has returned to Italy but this time to Roma. It is a one-year loan deal though so I can't say good riddance for Chelsea. They will still have 2 more years with him in case he returns.

But let's say Roma didn't want to extend his loan and he didn't get any other reasonable offer in Europe then Chelsea can go for Saudi Arabia option for him.

At the time they obviously thought it would be a smart move to take him back, but I think taking him back wasn't what was really dumb. I think the transfer fee is what makes this idea so stupid. The money they sent to Inter Mila, which was 113m euros, is insanity at its best. And Inter probably couldn't believe themselves what is happening. Taking him back on a loan for a penny on the dollar I guess. Well played by Inter Milan.

Indeed actually the amount of fee they paid for his transfer was absurd. Why would you spend this much money on a player who has already played for your team before and didn't make a decent contribution? Just because he was impressive at Inter does that mean he will perform the same when you sign him back?

This is completely due to bad management of the team unfortunately. I can give another example to this like Manchester United's spending nearly 90 million euros on Maguire's transfer.

I'm afraid some rich teams really don't know how to manage their finances well.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 31, 2023, 07:16:19 PM
Ansu Fati is about to sign a loan deal with Brighton for this season. However by this transfer the number of alternative players for wings will be even less. While I'm criticizing them about not signing a backup striker they are risking their wings also. The last day for the closing date of the transfer window must be tomorrow for La Liga teams.

There is not much time left for Barcelona so they need to take action faster on their remaining transfer targets if there are. They shouldn't risk their season before anything else. If they deal with injury problems this can lead to big problems on their performance and this would reflect onto their results too.
1058  Local / Konu Dışı / Re: Şampiyonlar Ligi 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2023, 07:08:15 PM

1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: August 31, 2023, 06:42:44 PM
Group F is definitely a group of death now. I don't think even PSG are comfortable in this group. They are already dealing with some problems so we can consider them as an inconsistent team. They looked better than this last season. It is still the beginning maybe but I don't believe in them too much in the Champions League this season.

Dortmund, Milan and Newcastle are all very challenging opponents considering PSG's current strength. Milan have started the season in a strong way in the Serie A. I'm curious about especially Newcastle's performance here. Because it has been like 20 years since they competed in this tournament the last time.

But the recent improvement of them should be taken seriously. They can also fight hard to qualify from the group stage.
1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2023, 06:37:02 PM
Folarin Balogun transfer has officially been completed by Monaco. The transfer fee is said to be 30 million euros but as far as I know it goes up to a higher level with add-ons. But still this is a really favorable deal for a skilled centre-forward like him in my opinion. He has been very impressive in the recent times.

He scored 20+ goals in the Ligue 1 last season and attracted the attention of many teams. His name was called with teams like Chelsea and Tottenham also but he is going to stay in France from now on.

I think he might have done the right thing for himself. Because he has already adapted to the league well. He can shine more in time to be a target for bigger teams again.
