Maybe this contract has been really signed between the sides for this summer. But Mbappe might be waiting until the end of the season to make an official statement about this. I hope the situation is really like that because I don't want to see him extending with PSG any longer. It just doesn't make sense while he can't win a Champions League title. In my opinion Mbappe is on the way of becoming one of superstar players in football history already. But he needs to fill his career with bigger titles such as the Champions League also. Real Madrid is definitely a great team to achieve that for him. Even if PSG win the Champions League (which by the way is quite possible, although the probability is small, they are not that bad) it will be completely ridiculous if one of the best players of the generation spends his best years in Ligue 1. It is simply ridiculous. The World Champion, the future top scorer in the entire history of the World Cup will have some kind of statistics in League 1. I wonder if anyone will care about this, or, say, does anyone even know how good a player is if he scored 30 goals in League 1? Or 40? Or 50? This is all nonsense - he needs achievements in competitive leagues (EPL, La Liga or Serie A). The real choice now is only between the first two options. I totally agree with you about one topic especially. The Ligue 1 isn't the right place for a player like Mbappe. We are talking about how amazing player he is and we already classify him as different from most players. It doesn't matter to me much either to see him scoring whatever amount of goals in the French league. The Ligue 1 isn't much of a competitive league when we compare it to leagues such as the English Premier League, La Liga and so on.  2023 season was like Verstappen's career-high season. Like in the image above he also joined among the drivers who completed every lap in a season. But the last season was really like a dream for Verstappen as I don't remember any bigger domination than this in F1 history. It is like he nearly won all the races in this season. The consistency of finishing every lap is another amazing work. If you remember 2022 Red Bull car had some serious problems at the beginning of the season. The only way to see Galatasaray winning the title would be by the elimination of Liverpool and Leverkusen both in the tournament before facing Galatasaray. I say each round because I'm considering them as they would get past Sparta Prague without big issues. If they have big issues even with eliminating Sparta Prague then there is no hope for Galatasaray at all in the Europa League for later rounds truthfully. I think almost all of us think the same thing Galatasaray must get rid of Leverkusen and Liverpool if they want to become champions but here I consider Galatasaray as an underdog team which can surprise any team, Mauro Icardi can be relied upon in this situation this player is one of the productive strikers in the Champions League by scoring 5 goals and now Mauro Icardi plays at a different level so it can still be relied on. Anyway, don't underestimate Galatasaray especially if Mauro Icardi is in the line up no matter whether his opponent Liverpool or Leverkusen. Icardi is the most crucial player for Galatasaray indeed. Because he is literally their source of goals this season. In his absence their attacking side gets much weaker than before. Because players like Zaha and Kerem can't be as efficient as Icardi unfortunately. By the way I had big expectations from Zaha but his general performance so far isn't that good. There are even speculations about him to go back to the Premier League soon. If we come back to the Icardi topic he is having an injury now and Galatasaray fans are hoping to see him back soon. Emery isn't expected to be a part of the title race already. This wasn't Aston Villa's main target at the beginning of the season. Probably the board just wanted Emery to make this team finish at a decent position which is good enough to join a European competition. But now they are totally at a much better point. But despite that I'm pretty sure the board won't make Emery feel himself under pressure of maintaining their title race. This is just an extra performance by Aston Villa. If the contract is signed, then Mbappe will not have a chance to pull off that trick again - as you know, there are very large compensation fees for early termination of the contract, and this clause applies to both the club and the player. I doubt that Mbappe has an extra billion (Real have many contracts with such compensation) to spend on violating the contract. Napoli were a huge disappointment for their fans once again I'm afraid. If it weren't for that red card maybe there would have been a chance for Napoli to make a comeback. Mazzocchi is really unbelievable. He entered in the 46th minute and got a direct red card only 4 minutes after that.  Just how can you? The more interesting part is Mazzocchi was signed by Napoli only 3 days ago. This must be the worst start for a player at their new team. Osimhen is out for a while due to national selection so a really bad time period might be waiting for Napoli until he comes back. |

Arteta is planning to make the team stronger with new transfers in January. I would like to see him signing a much more productive striker than Gabriel Jesus and Nketiah. I think the absence of a solid finisher is one of the factors dragging them down from their title chance in the Premier League. There is an option available in the transfer market too actually - Guirassy. Guirassy is a wonderful striker about whom people have been talking in the first half of the season in the Bundesliga. He is already monitored by some bigger teams. Arsenal can actually go for him and try their chance while he has a release clause which can be activated by paying only 17.5 million euros. |

In recent years, Leipzig has delivered shocking results in the UEFA champions league competition especially against bigger teams or supposed European giants and would also want to shock Real Madrid in the round of 16 tie which will start next month but considering the performance of both sides since the start of the season, I think Real Madrid will not have big issues to win that particular tie and progress to the next round of the competition.
Real Madrid who is being managed by Carlo Ancelotti are currently on a very impressive run and are one of the two teams that was able to win all their matches in the group stage of the competition. Facing a Leipzig will without doubt be a competitive two-legged tie but I expect the Spanish giants to convincingly conquer their German opponents in that particular encounter
Yeah but Leipzig have got this kind of surprising results against top teams in group matches all the time - if I'm not mistaken. Because it is easier to do this for them in the group stage. Top teams start playing much better in later rounds of the Champions League most of the time. Thus it is really difficult for Leipzig to catch Real Madrid by surprise in both matches. We have been watching a more solid Real Madrid not only in the La Liga but also in the Champions League compared to the last season. Bellingham - Vinicius - Rodrygo trio can play a big role in the title race here. |

Yine Mbappe dedikoduları bir klasik olarak ortaya çıkmaya başladı. Ocak ayında PSG ile olan sözleşmesinin bitimine sadece 6 ay kalacağı için hakkında Real Madrid ve Liverpool dedikoduları dolanıyor. Mbappe aslında geçtiğimiz günlerde tam da bu konulara yönelik bir açıklama yapmıştı. Geleceği hakkında sezon ortasında bir karar vermeyeceğini ifade etmişti.
Benim beklentim de açıkçası bu yöndeydi yani Mbappe gibi bir yıldız apar topar sezon ortasında böyle büyük bir karar almaz. Sezon sonunda da seçeneklerini değerlendirir ki bence Real Madrid'e gitmesi geleceği adına en iyisi.

If Egypt manage to progress until the finale in the AFCON competition then Salah will miss quite important matches - Chelsea (H), Arsenal (A). These matches are in the Premier League and they can play a big role on the road going to the league championship. Liverpool need Salah so much especially in this kind of big matches. Klopp will probably pray for Egypt to be out of the AFCON quickly. But I remember the last AFCON finale which Egypt were also a part of. We will see if they can repeat this. I would really like to see Liverpool collecting as many points as possible in the meantime to run away from Manchester City in the standings. |

Red Bull have been reported to have started their works on their 2025 car already now. Yeah it sounds really crazy maybe but this is what they say. This means Red Bull will have a similar season next time probably. Verstappen would carry the team on his shoulders while making his way to another championship. I just wonder how many points Perez will be able to collect after making a brave speech about his next season performance. Verstappen really admires Norris and Piastri both seemingly according to a recent statement of him. But both of these drivers really deserve to be admired because of being really talented. |
