10401  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: <Bounty> 1 BTC for the least worded T-Shirt on: March 14, 2013, 09:14:54 PM

I really like psy's entry below, but borders too much on a slogan/motto than a complete sentence of sorts. I had to exclude it in the running to be fair to the entries abiding as closely as possible to the rules I set. Sorry, psy.

Same true for the following. Very nice submission, though.

10402  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: <Bounty> 1 BTC for the least worded T-Shirt on: March 14, 2013, 09:02:44 PM
Sorry you feel that way. I just reported this mod to the mods for not posting in the correct section of this forum.

The mods can go f*ck themselves!
Oh, wait...

Quoted!  Grin

My next post--in a couple minutes--will show images of only those I'm considering. If it gets to close to call down to the wire, I may consider conducting a 24 hour poll. All the entries I'm currently considering can be viewed in post #2 of this thread, for I've just updated it.

have you 2 got some kinda bromance going on? thats cute

No! I'm into goats, and the life of me I can't figure out what psy's into, though it too is probably not human.
10403  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: <Bounty> 1 BTC for the least worded T-Shirt on: March 14, 2013, 08:52:44 PM
Okay, I'm back. Seeing that I started this bounty on Dec. 21, 2012, I will be paying it at that day's exchange rate. Surely, nobody expects me to buy at today's higher rate.

Now that that's taken care of, since I've received so many submissions, it'll be nearly impossible for me to view them all at one sitting. Therefore, a few days to look at them all will be needed.

Thank you for playing.

~Bruno K~

PS: If anybody says unkind things about this arrangement, I WILL LOCK THIS THREAD.

SCAMMER

Sorry you feel that way. I just reported this mod to the mods for not posting in the correct section of this forum.
10404  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: <Bounty> 1 BTC for the least worded T-Shirt on: March 14, 2013, 08:34:01 PM
I'd say all submissions so far suck. Some ideas are good, but wording isn't. Particularly, when you combine several ideas you get hodgepodge instead of a coherent sentence. It reads like "Freedom, and, uh, evolution, eh, fuck banks and paypal! LOL".

"currency evolved" is probably the best catchphrase, but it a little too unspecific, other digital currencies can make that claim to.

If somebody finds a way to elaborate from there it would be great.

Also I'd say Rush Limbaugh said it very well: "Oh, the hell with that. Why don't we just use Bitcoin, to hell with printing up a whole new platinum coin here. Just use Bitcoin, which is the currency on the Internet."

He was probably mocking Bitcoin, but still, "the currency on the Internet" sounds great. A little more verbose than "currency evolved", but considerably more specific and has relevant connotations.

Also, fuck E-Prime requirement. If you suck at wording E-Prime won't make it any better.

I may have to agree with you there.

Damn, I wish I hadn't neglected this bounty! Nice post.

No bounty was paid, just a thread of wasted effort and lies from Phinneus Gage.

I honestly deserve the above. I totally spaced off this project. My bad! Psy was kind enough to remind a few minutes ago of this via a PM.

Allow me to address this first thing when I get back in, for I'm expecting a client within shortly and don't want to start penning, then have to stop.

Thank you all for understanding.

10407  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM - Coinabul owe me 90btc on: March 14, 2013, 06:48:51 PM
So, SgtSpike, isn't it pure incompetence, or maybe even malice, to put a shop online without having the care to check which countries can or can't they ship the products to?

PS: I administer a webshop and no way a customer who inserts a Country we don't ship to in his shipping address will be able to finish the order process, much less get to the payment page, because it will tell him: "Sorry, we don't ship to your country"

Just finished my shit, and the above in yellow is similar to what I wanted to pen but see that psy beat me to the punch--again!

On day-mother-fuckin'-one I would have researched and listed only countries I knew for sure that I could ship gold to provided I have a license to do such. If this nearly impossible task took me more than a day, than I better reconsider starting the endeavor in the first place (tense eff'ed up, but you get the gist).

I have more to say on this, but first I need to take a shit (really!).

Then this is just a part of the chip.

Yet, weren't we led to believe that the following is a chip?

i paid 1000 btc in refunds today

It will take me until next friday to get enough btc together to make another big dent

but luckily we are *ALMOST* finished with refunds, its actually not bad considering we had about 1500 paying customers and only about a dozen are without their refund, if I did not get to you this week Please continue to have patience It will take me until next friday to accumulate a large amount of btc so I can finish off these refunds

if you need me you can email btcfpga@gmail.com - I return emails every single day

thanks!

You do this, and I will be the first to suggest that the scammer tag be removed. No shit! I was on your shit because you deserved it, but if you pay it all back, you definitely don't deserve the scammer tag then.

Keep it up, bud.

Peace.

Approaching fast!

Concerned about video quality. Any updates on this front?
10417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] FIRST Feature-length Documentary on Bitcoin, 100% BITCOIN FUNDED! on: March 14, 2013, 05:23:10 AM
Monster Tent has the best idea in making multiple short parts. This way it can stay current and also at a later time can be watched together to show the whole larger picture. And if one section is slightly outdated by the end it wont matter because it will be understood by the viewer.

Also, releasing shorter parts will allow faster completion of each part ensuring faster market availability to the consumer. If Bitcoin was not changing so rapidly I would say "just make a single, standard, long documentary".

-Doug

Hence saving all the footage and produce a 'Behind the Scenes' video after they win an Oscar for best Foreign Documentary or possibly some other category. Worse case scenario, they're dominated for something.

I like this idea! Would be interesting to look back at the series and see how bitcoin developed and evolved... a 1-part documentary would be more like a snapshot into a specific time.

Exactly!

how much will it cost when it comes out?

can i per-order?
Paying for videos.... is that even a thing anymore?

Why not! Ten bucks/.25 BTC (~), with a bonus track included for those who pre-order. Now let's see what I can think of to include that would make this a success...thinking...thinking...almost got it...okay, maybe not a goat...thinking again...still thinking...OMG...Got it! Did you figure it out? ---> LadyBytes

how much will it cost when it comes out?

can i per-order?

No, sry Adam, you cannot preorder Wink

I think you better reconsider this. Did you see my suggestion? With my idea, you'll reach your $13K in no time. Besides, what the hell can you do with only 13K? I say go for $20K for starters.

This is not a joke post, for I'm behind your endeavor 100%. I'm also serious about the post above, available to only those who pre-order. Besides, she'll need to paid also for her services. Two to three hundred bucks should cover it. More if a goat is involved. (humor, that time)

You could hook Satoshi up to a lie detecor and ask if he's Gavin.  Grin

...................

WTF! Only $324.27 so far.

I'm going to go out onto a limb here and suggest that Bitcoin 100 donate $1,000 to this venerable endeavor. I have some pull over there, but do respect opinions of its members.

Bitcoin 100 was initially develop for this king of enterprise, let alone a young one, but it was designed to further the awareness of Bitcoin, of which this project would surely do if done properly.

I honestly believe that $13K is not enough, unless I'm missing something. Kickstarter, mentioned, is a pretty good idea. Also, if you sold 10 high-level exposure spots at $10K each from entities with a little depth in their pocketbook, that would definitely put you guys on the right path.

Also, I and a partner are currently developing a project of which we could help raise funds for you. Would you be so kind as to state the projected release date? I may have overlooked it if it was published on your website.

As far as spending funds to attend San Jose, I think that would take a big bite out of your pool. There is a conference coming up in Vienna, but I believe that is later in the year.

I believe the SJ conference is going to have a decent guy filming it of which the footage should be readily available. If you do attend, I suggest getting the cheapest plane tickets for two and hook up with some Bitcoiner near there, staying at their home. No more than two guys should be needed for said event, one of which is your camera guy.

Suggestion: Document where and how every bitcoin is spend, taking screenshots of the blockchain as proof, incorporating it into the documentary somehow.

I love the idea of somehow you interview one of the hackers or scammers.
