1061  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: October 31, 2022, 02:15:46 PM
Investing is the only way to grow your money. It has to be through banks or renowned financial institutes who offer short and long term investment opportunities.
For example, banks will offer schemes which can be from simple FD to 5 year % growth plan associated with loans which can save up to 10-15% flat on the taxes yearly.

Well it may sound crazy but there are such financial advices for the rich people who wants to stay rich!
And it is also for those who want to become rich.

The more you invest the more you get back.

Money has to be free flowing and always locked up in growing schemes.
1062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prime Minister of UK - A crypto believer on: October 31, 2022, 01:26:26 PM
I would say irrespective of his background and past life if he is crypto believer then he can make astonishing changes inside UK to accept the crypto currencies. The fact that UK was also one of the first country to accept betting and slowly opening franchise for the same nationwide gives me full positive vision that having bitcoin accepted nationwide won’t be that far.

With Rishi’s power and vision and people inside UK who are enthusiastic for the new tech it’s entirely possible we will see new rim of possibilities getting opened.

Soon we will see they accept Bitcoin as mode of payment in the “William Hills”.   Wink
1063  Economy / Gambling / Re: I won 1500 dollars on a ufc fight + quit gambling on: October 30, 2022, 12:21:38 PM
Another big winner. There are definitely N-number of fellow members winning thousands of dollars on the forum alone and I can’t believe I am not one of them at all. Lolz.  Grin

Congratulations mate for your great winning. I am not sure but BC games had some issues with withdrawal as some user were posting about it who had similar kinda “big” win.

Just withdraw and post your proofs here to regain the trust. Would be helpful to everyone.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I AM HODLING - Reminder this was invented on the Bitcointalk forum! on: October 30, 2022, 11:09:44 AM
I am sure this might have discussed already or may be not?

But I am so excited to see that the word HODL was actually invented on the Bitcointalk Forum on December 18, 2013.

Actually I was reading through medium article regarding top historical events of bitcoin which changed many things in the world of crypto.

So the fellow member @GameKyuubi who seems to be oldest player; however less active on the forum these days actually invented this phrase and word.

This was literally happened due to he was whiskey drunk and made mistake while creating thread titled I am Holding rather typed HODLING.

This was sweet mistake and it literally gone viral and now we actually use it for real. I literally found out it today

Did everyone else already knew this was bitcointalk forum member itself?

Quote

1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 8 Years ago today, $500,000 worth of bitcoin was distributed to MIT students. on: October 30, 2022, 10:22:34 AM
Free distribution of bitcoins? Nah, that’s really bad idea. How much you think can be free dropped just like MIT event because in the current era the bitcoin is highly costly and highly in demand. If someone even host event like that then there will be rat race to acquire those free bitcoins and if it’s a mega airdrop then dam we gonna loose the demand from exchanges and p2p transaction and it could cause nice dump to bitcoins trading chart. I’m pretty sure we should not be doing that again.
1066  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk Becomes Owner Of Twitter, Immediately Fires CEO And CFO on: October 30, 2022, 09:25:01 AM
We here on the forum making arguments over Elon Musk and his terminations, meanwhile those guys got fired but were compensated with 100 million dollars.  Grin

They be like what the hell, retirements came in real early. Who cares if they were fired or not I was able to tweet anyways. Twitter has no more function than that.

That’s big cream layer up there and big thick base down there, better skip to the good part and keep tweeting.
1067  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian University Vows to Build 7nm Chipmaking Tools on: October 30, 2022, 07:23:15 AM
Limiting technology to what we know already is bit contradictory here.

Reasons:

1. During world war nations were able to put together best minds of the time to develop unimaginable technologies.
2. From chemical weapons to nukes all were developed ahead of its known Timeline with “LIMITED” resources.
3. Industries grew in terms of modern techs that were supposed to be Future stuff.

Now we all know this because we knew how it happened in the history and it teaches us prime lesson here.

Russia or any other country could also go beyond the limits create technologies which may or may not need Chips to run their programs. They are on to it because current electronics, serials, computer brain everything programmed and being run by that way.

For moment consider this as traditional way of electronics communicating those electrons to each other and run the particular machinery. In here let’s assume it’s about tanks, helicopters and jets.

Now, do we really believe that there is no other way to do this? Except silicon chips, scanners capable of working on nano scale and stuff?

It would take lot of time to discover new technologies but if Putin or some furious mind got above the lines then this war could lead to another “Modern World” inventions turning the whole picture upside down.

Future tech!!
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TerraForm Labs Founder Do Kwon faces $57M lawsuit on: October 29, 2022, 05:10:54 PM
Sorry for anyone who has lost money in this fiasco but I am looking forward to the Netflix documentary that will come out in 2026 for this.

What documentary? Is there going to be real documentary for this one. Idk, but that would be interesting to see if they have studied to the inside level and give us the insights on how this happened and what was going on the minds of owners or management?

Till date it’s unclear why this happened and how such huge market cap was swiped off the blockchain in one go. The problem is, due to nature of currency (stable) it was noticeable and was put forth in front of justice eyes.

Imagine, this happening with bitcoin and there is literally no owner in existence to blame on. That would be terrifying for mankind.
1069  Economy / Economics / Re: House is a forced saving on: October 28, 2022, 04:40:55 PM
Houses get old, houses go into maintenance and they depreciate in value over the time. I am pretty sure this is not the case as mentioned in the OP.

They are only valued if they are some sort of big houses like mansions with its own property (land/garden/ponds/golf ground) I hope you have imagined already what kind of property I am talking about here.

Those are the properties which gets highly paid over the time. However, most of them get valued based on the “real estate land” and its location.

But usually that isn’t the bucket for everyone out here. So look for the properties right, not every of them would appreciate in value all the time.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: October 28, 2022, 05:17:27 AM
This was supposed to be question before entering to PoS actually.   Grin
The bloody trend is due to current market situation and off course due to ETH changing its technology. What do you think miners did with their mined coins? Hold it out of goodness for the community and forget about their profits? Nah, I don’t think so. They are going all in right now and ETH getting liquidated at higher rates. This isn’t speculation but it is perfect logic behind the decline of ETH price.
It will take time for stakers to regain the market and then sudden jump will follow.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did a business proposal of paying 440 nights this Hotel for 1 BTC, October/2022 on: October 28, 2022, 04:56:40 AM
I don't know what to say, 440 days in a hotel is a bit strange for me, but obviously the OP has his own theory of the ideal vacation, in this case an extended one. In addition, it seems that he wants that event to become historic, and maybe enter the Guinness Book of Records as the longest stay in a hotel paid with Bitcoin.

Pablo Iglesias? The Spanish politician? I don't know what he has to do with bitcoin. You made me search the internet and I don't see anything.

I think that it has nothing to do with Bitcoin, but with what the OP mentioned next to his name, which is the so-called UBI (Universal Basic Income). As far as I know (and you probably know better) they, with their ideas based on ideologies, almost disappeared from the political scene after they got the chance to do something. I know how they work because we have an identical party in my country (they literally have the same name) and since they took over the capital, in a little over a year they managed to turn it into one big garbage dump.

I am also not sure how can one spend so much time in single hotel.

I would be more willing to spend it at different places, different cities and enjoy the different meals every day and night if I had to spend that much money.

We can always create history that way too. In fact that will cause versatile events to happen throughout let’s say England and show everyone the love of bitcoin.

The niche here does not seem to be enjoyment but creating some crazy event (?).

I don’t know I might be wrong.

But whatever you do, just enjoy since you gonna throw precious coin today which could be worth 100k by 2024.
1072  Economy / Gambling / Re: GXGBet.com | GXGCoin.io - Leading DeFi Gaming Site Needs You 😎 on: October 28, 2022, 04:23:14 AM
What do you mean by 450% APY is possible? That’s funny, last time I checked the max I got is 25% from holding my FUN at freebitcoin site and binance as well. There is no business which can give away 450% yield just for holding the coins because they don’t have that much hikes in a years time. There goes so many things such as managing campaign budgets, marketing, sustainability of company, promotions. So they can’t just throw away money at staking alone. That would be loss of the company straight in couple of months.
Anyways, everything looks doggy about your casino.
1073  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 27, 2022, 04:38:32 PM
I'm locking FUN for 2 more years minimum... bullrun in 2024 lol

My shorter lock expires in November and I will lock tokens again, for a short period, 1-3 months. My longer (1 year old) lock will expire in March, then I will see - maybe I will sell all or half, but the most probably I will not lock again for longer than 6 months.

That is really good timing you have got. Unfortunately I have already locked for period of one year last month which means I will only be able to sell/recover the FUN by next September month. I just hope that FUN do not go way way up as to miss any opportunity that’s insane. Though I have bought pretty high (initial investment) but I have already balanced out my investment with 25% APY. :-D
But as an investor I would obviously need more and more returns.

I just hope I get in time with it.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Oasys Blockchain Launches Mainnet With Support of Sega, Ubisoft, and . . . . . . on: October 27, 2022, 02:15:13 PM
Quote
Oasys Launches Mainnet Operations
Oasys, a blockchain project that aims to serve gaming companies by offering fast transactions with zero fees, has taken its first step towards being fully operational. The company recently announced that it has launched the first phase of the activation of its mainnet, with validators in the network already talking to nodes and testing the main functions of the chain.

The validator set of the chain is composed of 21 companies, including AAA names like Sega, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and Ubisoft. The full mainnet launch is predicted to happen on November 8th, when the chain will begin integrating the essential components of the system with the larger ecosystem.

Daiki Moriyama, director at Oasys, stated:
The Mainnet launch is a significant step forward in creating a fully-functional, public-led gaming blockchain that will transform the gaming future and give extensive value to players and game developers alike.

This launch comes after the company received an audit from Quantstamp, a smart security auditing company, certifying its smart contracts system works as intended. Oasys raised $20 million in a private token sale in July, with the participation of Republic Capital, Jump Crypto, Crypto.com, Huobi, Kucoin, and Gate.io. However, the company is still working to make its token available for general investors on several exchanges.

Gamefi Focused
Oasys is looking to forge itself a place in the growing gamefi (the intersection of gaming and finance) market by offering a gamer-friendly chain that is promoted as ecological and fast, also taking the fees problem out of the equation. The sector is valued at $8 billion currently and is expected to grow exponentially, reaching a valuation of more than $50 billion by 2025.

Several companies have already partnered with Oasys to use its upcoming network as the basis for their Web3-involved projects. Among these is Sega, which will launch its first licensed blockchain game, to be developed by Double Jump Tokyo, using Oasys’ services to integrate Web3 elements.

Square Enix, another AAA gaming company, will also explore the development of blockchain-based games as part of a partnership with Oasys.

This is amazing news for those who are in the gaming industry since long. The news is fine because since very long time we have not seen fully developed projects who are running the full nodes on their blockchain. While Oasys has successful sale in their initial offerings they are now putting all the money into developing Gamefi which is gaming and finance sector in the industry that is mentioned.

The fact that Oasys has full support from well known gaming platforms such Sega, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and Ubisoft.

These are the most famous while there are total 21 companies which are backing up the whole blockchain. With this much validation it is gonna prove some piece of art we might not have seen before.

What are your thoughts on this project?
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What problem does Bitcoin solve? on: October 27, 2022, 12:49:17 PM
I went through the thread and it seems everyone is talking about how bitcoin is helping governments and different institutions however the main question is, do we really see bitcoin solving the problem or blockchain?

It's not about Bitcoin at all. It's all about the technology behind it, the blockchain! Yes off course that is helping governments a lot by having their data integration solid via blockchain. Various private companies are also making use case out of it.

Bitcoin is just serving its purpose in terms of transacting pseudonymously and with full proof of work available publicly.

Government actually don't like Bitcoin at all.
1077  Economy / Economics / Re: In a post abundance economy, which commodities and assets would appreciate most on: October 26, 2022, 02:30:46 PM
That’s too big statement regarding bitcoin to wood conversion and as like @Lucius I’m also disagreeing to the same.

Anyways, we always compare every news to the bitcoin world that is little unwelcoming. Imagine the world without bitcoin or crypto currency’s; you had no option but to live with the grim reality of inflation. We don’t have to burden bitcoin all the time if bomb explodes in the Ukraine somewhere.

Let us accept that we are into recession, we are having worst leaders around the globe who are not handling the situation correctly post covid and in-war situations. They have missed few bricks along the way while building a wall. It was supposed to collapse.

Just save up money, keep bitcoin in HODL position, Stock up supplies and wait for the recession to dilute. That’s what we can do.
1078  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: October 26, 2022, 01:20:14 PM
Weird things are starting to appear in cryptocurrencies, such as reversible transactions, specifying the KYC of the sender and recipient when making a transaction, attempts to transfer bitcoin to PoS for spurious reasons, etc.

This is intriguing paragraph and really don’t know where to start the non ending discussion really! So you telling me if KYC becomes solid thing in the crypto from all the directions then we might just see crypto as centralised system.

So it may happen that bitcoin would be nothing but informal alternative to the fiat system. Now this has given second thoughts like, if it becomes reversible transaction then many people will start using it because they will have security of error free system and use it as alternative to fiat.

Practically transactions are irreversible but with KYC we know both parties so any third party managing transactions can resend money easily to them.

That’s gonna be hard to digest if it happens. In next 10 years you ask, it would be nothing but fiat system.
1079  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices in Germany - Tell me what you want to know on: October 26, 2022, 07:16:55 AM
I am wondering on what basis they are changing the pack prices on periodic basis? Like how do the stores know it’s time to upgrade the label this week?

The question is why are we just seeing the price upgrades in the Germany only? Every now and then I can see it’s only Germany everyone talking about. Why other EU regions are not in the mentions.

Does the Germany has Special relationship with the on going war or something?

Then I won’t be able to make my coffee with coffee making machine. I will probably have to do it manually over gas burner. This would be my last reply on the forum if it stops after this.

We may not read each other considering total blackout and winter.

Oh yeah and about bitcoin, it won’t be accessible and pretty much what folks said above.
