10661  Economy / Speculation / Re: 350 USD in August on: July 22, 2016, 02:39:00 AM
Price is very stable right now, i don't think that something will change next month, at my opinion something big will happen in the end of September or at the start of October.
Exactly I have the same feeling that price will cross $1k mark by that time so I am not expecting any major price drop in next couple of months.

I am at the opposite side. My feeling is that it will slowly go to sub $600 for a while and stay there. But of course in time it will go up again and hopefully rise above $1000. But there has to be a stimulus that will cause a rise. My theory is a great financial crisis that is going to happen in the European Union will be the stimulus. Bitcoin will be considered and will be classified like gold where it will be a safe investment.

I am trying to make some profit with signature campaings, but it's so annoying.. I think that better to invest my money on cloud mining or something like this.

Signature campaign is better in compare to cloud mining as there is no guarantee that you will earn profits from it as in long run those sites will run away with your investments.

I have researched on cloud mining and many of them are scams. Almost everyday at the site themerkle.com there's always news of a cloud mining running a ponzi scheme. In truth it is very hard for miners to start today and make money out of mining bitcoins. There are only a few ones that do but they are really large mining operations. Some of them manufacture their own asic miners so they have the advantage.
10663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to talk about BTC for friend or Family ?? Have a problem for understand this on: July 22, 2016, 02:12:54 AM
i think that it would be the best to tell them that it is the new money that will allow you to make some good money in the future and that they should invest some fiat into it

Trying to explain it like that makes it sound like a ponzi scheme, and why in the world do everybody plan for bitcoin to be valued a lot in future if all
they want to do with it is to sell it ?! Show them info on cases of banks/gov cleaning out their clients accounts instead and explain how that can't happen with bitcoin..

I think the best idea on how to explain it the ones who are interested is to cite the history of "currency". It is really just numbers in the ledger to remind everyone who owes who. And that is what bitcoin precisely is. But when the people cannot imagine it so because they really think that money = wealth. They think that piece of paper really means something when really it is not. Wealth really in the world is owning big companies, land or something that would give you a great degree of generating money and power.
10664  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: July 22, 2016, 02:05:17 AM
I cannot able to digest the question you asked, because we are people now depending on the bitcoin  now it is the most valuable paying currency right now, many people have invested ton and tons in bitcoin, if this happens definitely many will suicide.

This made me laugh. I am imagining the 1930's great depression when the stock traders jumped out of their windows for their office because the have incurred a lot of debt. But in seriousness the minute the whole internet goes down is the time where everyone will be in panic. It will not just be bitcoin users.
10665  Economy / Speculation / Re: how much gonna be 1 BTC in a year? on: July 21, 2016, 03:23:17 AM
I would like to reiterate my position that unless a huge financial crisis happens, there will be no price rise above $1000. There has to me a stimulus for this to happen. It's either something spectacular event in bitcoin making it a more attractive buy or a big negative impact happening with the world financial system again making bitcoin an attractive buy.

I prefer the former to happen but the latter is much more likely. Be prepared.
10666  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price predictions for after the halving on: July 21, 2016, 03:17:27 AM
I speculate bitcoin is ready to go down soon. This is a good time to take a short position in bitcoin because the people who bought at this price level thinking the halving will make it rise over $1000 will begin to slowly realize that it won't happen this year. The price has to go down for now and it is healthy. The price went up too fast and it isn't maintainable to stay in this current price level.
10667  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: July 21, 2016, 03:09:58 AM
I have recently started saving some of my work salary in bitcoins. But one thing I am scared of is the price fluctuations. Bitcoin goes up and down a lot and I would have to be on the top of the market checking the price minute by minute even if I am at work. Maybe it is better to get in at a lower price?
10668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it legal to earn and hold bitcoin ? on: July 21, 2016, 03:04:10 AM
Are there laws that says bitcoins are illegal? How can the make it illegal to use it a piece of software? It's just a bunch of inputs and outputs in a ledger and it's not really a "currency". The closest to bitcoin being a currency is the name because it has the word "coin" in it. There will be legal loop holes in legal cases involving bitcoins for everyday use. No law or case will act as precedent giving the governments around the world one big headache.
10669  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin make Banks disappear? on: July 21, 2016, 02:57:59 AM
I don't think bitcoin can make bank disappear because in my country i exchange bitcoin for my country currency which is transferred into my Bank

As of today that is very impossible at all that bitcoin is going to make the banks disappear because the government is not going to allow it.
And bank is playing a big role in an economy of a country, of course they will not going to let it happen.
But we don't know what is going to happen because of technology.

Even technology would involved its impossible that bitcoin could disappear banks in future. As you said banks play a big role of an economy of a country.
Bitcoin is only a cryptocurrency even though it would become popular into future but only in digital world. Our online wallet or hardware wallet serves as banks in our precious bitcoin.

Exactly why banks are getting worried. The future of the bulk of transactions happening will be in the digital world. If banks won't evolve and improve expect unregulated cryptocurrencies to be a major force in online payments. Bitcoin is already showing us it is possible.
10670  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info Updating of Wallet - What does it entail? on: July 21, 2016, 02:46:41 AM
I have yet to update my wallet at blockchain.info. Before I do, I would like to know what does 'updating ' entail? is there an extra layer of security? Any problems? And is there any cost? Thanks.

Blockchain.info is trying to give a better service for you. I like the changes but I am still attached with the old version. It takes a little getting used to but nothing like a week or two of using it can't fix.
10671  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin would currently be the worlds 5th most expensive stock on: July 20, 2016, 08:24:59 AM
According to https://financesonline.com/top-10-most-expensive-stocks-in-the-world-from-chipotle-to-berkshire-hathaway/ and many others if bitcoin was a stock it would come under the 5th most expensive at current prices.

Surely its just a matter of time before investors see the potential in bitcoin and we could end up at no1 on that list. What are your thoughts, and could bitcopin ever be shared on the stock exchange to compete with these top trading stocks?

you can't really compare bitcoin with stocks especially not with those stocks in the list. for example stock of "Amazon.com" belongs to a legit and huge company that we all know and can easily decide that it is a good company even if you don't have any information you can easily see this.
but bitcoin is not like that, it doesn't belong to a company and has no physical form which makes it hard for average joes to trust and invest in it. also it is still so young compared to those.

Banks are supposedly the most legit companies and the money they have are also just digital on private ledgers. These banks have many investors and the people trust them, because they are backed by the governments. The problem with Bitcoin is, it is not 100% controlled by governments and this bothers a lot of investors. They need control and legislation to protect their wealth, and Bitcoin is still within that grey area, if you not working within the regulated environment. < Exchanges > ^hmmmm^

But the funny thing is the banks are intruiged with bitcoin as a protocol and as a decentralized ledger. By just recognizing that can be considered a win for bitcoin. Satoshi must have done something right if they are considering using the technology for their own needs. It will stay relevant for at least a decade more.
10672  Economy / Speculation / Re: Now Everyone is buying on: July 20, 2016, 08:10:34 AM
It's a little risky to buy right now. Bitcoin price is not going anywhere except sideways so this could go either up or down. It's much better to only watch the price. This is also a seller's market because it has been pumped at this price level. So my suggestion is to avoid buying and just wait for a better price.
10673  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of the 2016 - BTC Price Prediction on: July 20, 2016, 08:05:53 AM
Do you have any idea that what will be the price of BTC at the end of the 2016?

I can't find any scientific prediction on the web...

It could go under $600. After the halving we will see the smaller mining farms giving up and more cloud mining sites close in the coming months. It will be not profitable for them to mine anymore simply because they cannot pay the cost of maintaining their mining farms. The bigger mining farms on the other hand would have to sell more bitcoins in the market to pay for their loans on equipment, electricity and other expenses. So there will be selling pressure. And also the pumpers would also have to make an exit at some point.
10674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: PlayStore accepting Bitcoin? on: July 19, 2016, 05:20:48 PM
the thing that makes appstore and playstore not yet to accept bitcoin because android have android pay and apple have apple pay, adding bitcoin will potentially threatening their services so they think better get away from it
just see some faucet getting banned from adsense few weeks ago which could gives you a clue why they don't accept bitcoin

That doesn't make any sense to me. It would be better for Apple Pay and Android Pay to expand their services by adding the ability to load bitcoins in your account. By doing that they are giving their customers a choice. I wonder what other avenues can bitcoin get into so that it will have the proper infrastructure for mainstream adoption.
10675  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price predictions for after the halving on: July 19, 2016, 04:48:23 PM
I beg to differ. I predict that bitcoin will go back under $600 in the coming months. The speculation about the halving is over and the people who got in to make a profit from it will leave sooner or later since the halving really had no effect on the price.

I also expect to see the smaller bitcoin mining farms to close because of the lesser reward and unprofitability. This may bring bitcoin's price to a stand still or go slightly down.

10677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving on: July 19, 2016, 04:28:17 PM
I do not understand why halving is still such a big topic. There were dozens of threads and thousands of post before the halving. People has predicted dumps and pumps after the halving. Nothing such happened. Everything goes on as before the halving.

That's because they like to hype the halving and they hope to profit from it. This has been happening ever since bitcoins reached $1200. They all love to speculate when it will rise again to those prices. I'm afraid we will not see it go back to that price in a very long time. I even predict that it will go down below $600 in the next few months. Maybe by October.
10678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone help me where to invest my bitcoin? on: July 19, 2016, 04:14:00 PM
I don't gamble as i am very bad at it, i lost over 0.5btc at Primedice  Angry
I am searching for any reliable investment site,
Any suggestion with be appreciated, thanks...

Instead of thinking about where to invest your remaining bitcoin, why not save it and look for something that pays in bitcoins. You can start by joining signature campaigns. You will be here talking to the people in the forum a lot of the time so why not get paid while doing it. You can also sell items and offer your services in the market place part of the forum. You can make money if you know where to look. It will not be that much but what do you expect? You have to start somewhere.
10679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Raoul Pal said BTC could reach $100,000 each on: July 19, 2016, 04:03:45 PM
Man I don't believe claims from Bitcoin 'specialists' and 'experts' any more. There were Wall Street high-profile stock brokers who said that the price of Bitcoin would reach $5000 in 2014 after the all time high but the price crashed to the ground instead. And we don't even know if Bitcoin will exist in a couple of decades. $100 000 is just wishful thinking and nothing more.

What's the most likely price point where bitcoin will be at the highest ever in your opinion? Did we already witness it at $1200?
10680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to talk about BTC for friend or Family ?? Have a problem for understand this on: July 19, 2016, 03:58:15 PM
Here's an idea. If you want to strike a conversation about bitcoin the first thing you should do is wear a bitcoin tshirt. I noticed that whenever I wear my bitcoin tshirt my friends usually ask me what bitcoin is. I then start talking about it without getting to technical. It's also important not to get preachy about how the banks are evil and all that kind of talk. Then finally give them the websites that you think will help them in their journey.
