1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Miners Are Selling Their Graphics Cards on: August 02, 2017, 06:52:27 AM
Read the title of the thread and though wow better sell my cards!!!!

Checked coinmarketcap... saw Ethereum over $200, Zcash at $178, Sia doing well, Decred almost at $30. Read the article and laughed - who in their right mind would unload their cards now?

I  would sell all my 1070's to you  except I did  at 450  when I paid 369.  And they are now selling at

479 and  600 on ebay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-Gaming-GeForce-GTX-1070-8GB-GDDR5-SLI-DirectX-12-VR-Ready-ITX-Graphics-Card-/162597855122?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/MSI-Gaming-GeForce-GTX-1070-8GB-GDDR5-SLI-DirectX-12-ITX-Graphics-Card-/292186270712?

So even though I turned  80 profit on each card plus 100 mining.  I could have held them  for 3 more weeks of mining  and then sold them.

Still I can not knock  turning   369 into  549  on each card I sold.

The people that opened thread may become correct one day  but not yet.

The thread is 6 days old.  maybe in the winter  it will be true.  Lets say Jan 27 , 2018 when I turn 61

They are not "Selling at 479 and 600 on ebay."  They are trying to be sold at those prices but are NOT actually selling.  There is a big difference.  Go look at sold listings instead.
1082  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 4 Rx 580 Ethereum Mining Rig on: August 02, 2017, 01:42:25 AM
Here is my final offer, take it or leave it...
$1450 shipped
That includes configuring simple miner to mine to my pool and address.

You should have took his offer, that was a very generous considering what you are selling.

GPU - 4x Asus Radeon RX 580 4GB  ~$200 each when new ($800)
MOBO - Asrock Z97 Extreme4  ~$100
RAM - 4GB of ram  ~$20
CPU - Celeron G1830  ~$50
PSU - EVGA 1000 GQ, 80+ GOLD 1000W, Semi Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 5 Year Warranty, Power Supply 210-GQ-1000-V1  ~$140
RISERS - 4x 6-pin PCIe powered riser  ~$40

I only come up with about $1150 in value, and that is brand new pricing. Since it is now used you should reduce this about 20%, or to around $920 for the lot. I think the best you could hope for is around $1,000 shipped.

This is a crazy market, people buying overpriced hardware at retail to get rich mining, and then failing that trying to turn around and sell that used hardware at prices that are still above normal retail prices.

He did put it all together and make sure it all works. There is some added value there for some noob that just wants a mining rig without having to trouble shoot too much.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.8 (Windows/Linux) on: August 01, 2017, 09:29:00 PM
About this DAG fix - if I get lets say 29mh with my rx 480 now, how much more could I get if AMD fixes the DAG issue?

Probably gain at the most 1.5Mh/s.  Go benchmark old EPOC DAGs and test it yourself.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: DAG DEFENDERS - Bios Mods/Tweaks - SURVIVE BEYOND DAG 138! on: August 01, 2017, 08:39:39 PM
SCAM!!!!!

Also next week or so AMD will release drivers that will fix the DAG slowdown... for free.

This isn't a scam... what the heck is your issue?

Good to hear about the driver. I honestly had no idea, will be interesting to see if that actually makes a difference.

Will be more interesting to see what my mod(s) will do with that new driver Smiley

-DAGDefenders

How the hell you call yourself DagDefenders but don't even know about the DAG fix?  Your "proof" doesn't even prove anything beside you running stock bios vs heavily OC'd bios and what 5seconds of hashing? Holy shit what a dumb scammer  Cheesy

Need help. MSI RX580 Gaming X Plus. Installed latest AMD driver, Claymore runs fine but unable to read temp (monitor hooked up). Afterburner doesn't allow OC too. Hashrates after bios mod is around 27mh/s single mode but fluctuates alot (even more with dual mining mode). I can't seem to adjust anything. TDP, Core, Mem clock all grayed out.

Don't use the newest drivers...

how to use -di to select 10th-12th gpu? Huh Huh

Run two instances of claymore
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best overclock setting for ETH Mining? on: July 30, 2017, 04:32:00 PM
This is what I use for solo mining Eth.  Dual mining requires a few different steps and uses a lot more power.

50-80 power limit - Set this as low as possible. Don't dip below 1500 core or you'll start to lose hash.
80-90 Temp so you dont throttle too early.  I set mine at 85.
1500-1600Mhz core clock
+600-650 Memory for most basic 1070's.  Some memory you can push to 900 but I would test each card individually if you want to go that high.
Custom Fan profile or set it to run 60-70% continuously.

Have fun.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 30, 2017, 02:45:42 PM
Finally I can test and confirm that AMD has fixed the issue with slowdown at high DAG epochs for Vega/Polaris/Fiji cards. They are going to release new drivers in a few days.

Oh boy this should be fun!
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 30, 2017, 02:18:48 PM
I have problem with Claymore miner. With 3 GPU GTX 1070 8GB everything is OK and stable. When I add 4th GPU GTX 1070 8GB, miner starts to restart itself and giving me error CUDA ERROR 11 - CANNOT WRITE BUFFER FOR DAG. First I thought it's GPU fault  and put new one with 2 old one and everthing is OK. Every combination of 3 GPUs is working, except when I add 4th one.

I increased virtual memory to 16GB and checked free disk space (71,6 GB).
I'm running on Windows 7 64-bit, with 4GB memory.

Could be problem in RAM or disk space ?

Please, for solutions, beacuse it's very little about this error on net.

I solved problem by adding 4 GB RAM (now total of 8 GB), but now I added 6th card and the same error occur? So 5+ GPU you need 16 GB of RAM ?

Set 16GB minimum and 32GB maximum pagefile?
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 30, 2017, 03:04:30 AM
I'm a Claymore ETH GPU miner. I want to develop a software that has a management window based on the Claymore's kernel. What should I do? How can I get the kernel code for Claymore's? I would even like to pay for it. Can you help me? Thank you very much.

LOL - Claymore giving you his CL and ASM sources? Shaq has a better chance of joining the KKK.

I was thinking more like snoop dogg stop smoking weed.

He actually quit for a little bit.

You can still use two 1000w PSU's to run them so you are still kind of wrong  Roll Eyes
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.7 (Windows/Linux) on: July 29, 2017, 08:44:41 PM
New version with Vega support is close, currently I see 35-36 MH/s ETH at stock clocks and huge speed for second coins. But it's too hot even at 1.0v for core and 0.9v for memory.

Hey Claymore, have you lowered core clock massively ?  Should be as or more efficient than an 580, it is possible.

Not yet, also I did not change anything in bios, but I'm sure it's possible to make it much more efficient with bios/voltage/clocks changes.

BTW, at "-dcri 500" I get 4600MH/s DCR (at stock clocks) after some Vega-related improvements in assembler code (i.e. these improvements are not available for Polaris cards), now I'm working on SIA and PASC...
At "-dcri 100" I see 35MH/s ETH and 3500MH/s DCR.
If I set 1050MHz for memory (default is 945MHz), I get 40MH/s ETH.

yeah the Vega cards look like they will be great in the winter here where cooling is not an issue , I might build a rack or so of them for dual mining but 300 watts per card is nuts , theres no PSU outthere that can power six of those
This or Server power supplies will work just fine.  Tongue

1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Buying GPUs for mining on: July 29, 2017, 07:49:53 PM
Is it better deal to buy new GTX 1060 3gb for 240 EUR or used RX 480 8gb XFX GTR for 280 EUR??

I'm aware the prices are sky high now, but AMD gives better hash although its used and more expensive.

If you plan to mine for a while get a 1060 6GB card not the 3GB version.  3GB version is 10% slower and we are currently at 2GB DAG file so that card wont last too long.

I can't get them to work
These are in my config

read the readme
lol ...
Read it 1000 times, it said fan control doesn't work, but nothing about intensity not working too

Note: for NVIDIA cards only temperature monitoring is supported, temperature management is not supported.

You dont really need to use ttli or ttdcr if you set your GPU target temp to 80-90 in afterburner as it will throttle for you.

I never said anything was free ---  regardless of free or not...  that has nothing to do with calling someone out or stating his information is just a rumor unless he proves it is just plain ignorance...

now I could see if a newbie or  someone like you who just signed up here the last month came on here and posted a statement like about having personal information from AMD updates, people would inquire and ask for proof... and rightly so....

but you're getting the info basically from the "horses mouth" or at least as close as we are privy to getting it from the "horses mouth" and is in no way inclined to even share it with anyone  --- and why would one share it if they end up being accused of making rumors ....  seems counterproductive and just ignorant.....  a little etiquette goes a long way sometimes!

Yes. Agreed ! Thanks for the hardwork Mr Claymore ! Hope to claim back my lost hashrates !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If everyone claims back their lost hashrates that just means higher difficulty XD

Hi, a question, i update last driver of AMD RX (470) and Claymore dont show me the Temperature and fan. What happed?  Also my pc now restart every 30 or 40 minutes. Without claymore the pc works okay

Don't use the newest driver.

Any 1070 user share their dual mining setting  eth +sc? When solo mine I get 32.7mh/s eth dual mine even set -dcri 15 ? I get sc 250-260 mh/s

Try -dcri 60-75.  This should get you around 30Eth 700Sia, but you are going to be using a lot of power.
Should I increase the power limit of the cards or just change -dcri?

You'll need to increase it a bit to keep hashes high.  Just experiment with it because all cards are different.
