1081  Other / MultiBit / Re: Can i still recover funds from Multibit classic wallet on: March 16, 2018, 03:45:53 PM
I suggest you create a new electrum wallet and then sweep your private keys. Because you made them public you have to sweep them and not import them and you have to do it quickly.

The private keys in that image are not secure because the majority of the characters in them are visible.
1082  Other / MultiBit / Re: Can i still recover funds from Multibit classic wallet on: March 16, 2018, 09:16:08 AM
Where is the import process failing?  Saying it didn't work doesn't help us at all. Tell us exactly what happens.

Also FYI post number 4 in that thread is the one with the correct guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2621719.msg27742198#msg27742198
1083  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can't use old seed phrase in updated Electrum on: March 16, 2018, 08:30:37 AM
Electrum maintains backwards compatibility with old seed mnemonics so you should have been able to restore from seed in the latest version. You probably typed the seed in incorrectly.
1084  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: false positives in latest wallet!? on: March 14, 2018, 11:11:37 AM
Google is banning cryptocurrency ads from June onwards so this won't be a problem for much longer.
1085  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.1 is out! on: March 09, 2018, 03:24:04 AM
yes
1086  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Private Key on: March 08, 2018, 11:53:43 AM
it would be easier to just right click on the address on the addresses tab and choose the option to view the private key. if the addresses tab isn't visible go to view menu > show addresses.

you can search for the address on the addresses tab using ctrl+f
1087  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2fa Version on: March 08, 2018, 11:51:51 AM
The private keys you saved are useless in the case of a 2fa wallet. The seed is what you need to backup.

>then that was actually free?

I don't understand what you mean by this
1088  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 2fa Version on: March 08, 2018, 04:34:56 AM
There is no such thing as a 2fa version of electrum. There is a 2fa wallet type but you can have more than one wallet and they can be of different types. So if you want to create a standard wallet just do that.

As for the password it's only used to encrypt the secrets in the wallet file. It can't be used to derive your private keys. At least not on its own. You would need the wallet file as well. Alternatively if someone has your seed then they don't need anything else.
1089  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 3.1 is out! on: March 07, 2018, 11:45:07 PM
The mempool fee estimation option is only available on certain servers. Try changing the server you are connected to.
I tried some different servers and still can't use the mempool fee estimation option.

I'm told in #electrum that this is due to a bug which has been fixed in git master. The fix will be in the next release of electrum.
1090  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to recover a wallet with a passphrase on Electrum? on: March 07, 2018, 11:37:09 PM
@hd67xlch Try the things listed here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/frequently-asked-questions/#why-does-restoring-my-wallet-from-seed-lead-to-a-different-wallet

But first make sure the funds aren't sitting in your coinbase wallet instead (login there and check).

Increase the gap limit. See 1c here: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/frequently-asked-questions/#why-does-restoring-my-wallet-from-seed-lead-to-a-different-wallet

1093  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Sweeping tokens from Electrum to counterparty error on: March 06, 2018, 08:31:17 PM
It's a p2sh address so it has more than one private key behind it. The one you get from the right click menu is not sufficient. Is this a 2fa wallet? It should say as much in the window title bar. Do you have the seed written down?
1094  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Newly installed but i had an old one on: March 05, 2018, 05:58:42 AM
So you are seeing 0 balance in the bottom left corner?

What value are you seeing for blockchain under tools > network > first tab?
1095  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: "Default_Wallet" keeps cloning itself under a different name, electrum 3.0.5? on: March 04, 2018, 08:02:44 PM
So what you're saying is that there are duplicate entries recently open list? The wallet file itself is not being duplicated right? Have you looked in the wallets directory to make sure? The directory is here: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html#where-is-my-wallet-file-located

I have the duplication in the recently open list on my system too with 3.0.6. A testnet wallet is showing up twice. I think you should file a bug report for that. They should only show unique entries there.
1096  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Newly installed but i had an old one on: March 04, 2018, 07:48:31 PM
Try creating some change addresses with this command on the console tab:

Code:
for thing in range(0,20): wallet.create_new_address(True)

Then restart electrum and see if the correct balance shows up.
1097  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum - Newly installed but i had an old one on: March 03, 2018, 06:50:10 PM
did you try all the things mentioned in that link on post 15 above?
1098  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: If i type my bc1(bech32) address in any blockchain explorer i can't see nothing. on: March 02, 2018, 06:07:34 PM

1099  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to check if a transaction is actually completed? on: March 02, 2018, 01:08:10 PM
Hi

I sent 0.015btc to a person and on my Electrum wallet it is marked with the green arrow. And that for me means its been completed correct? If thats not the case I can include some screenshots of the transaction if that's safe to do.

Thanks in advance for help!

Yes green tick mark means the transaction has confirmed. It is now set in stone and cannot be reversed. The recipient has no excuse to delay giving you what he owes you.

In post 5 he says he restored from seed. @kongxx try the things listed here.
