I was switching to hidden mode... after that i got kicked and Account Locked WTF? should i stop hashing... i'm arround 7 Mhash/s i blocked u because u have low growth in hashing rate. see my video and stop talking about hashrate. I annihilated miners here by huge reaps, that's will rise me to the moon. i dunno if you are admin or what... but i don't understand what are you talking about... i have coins there... what video??can anyone explain what this guy is saying or what his video means? I've got a question that may have come up in the past 400 pages . . but I'm not digging through that. Regarding transaction malleability . . has anyone addressed this in this coin? I realize it may not be the biggest issue in the world right now, but with the press coverage this seems like a good thing to strike at while the iron's still hot. I'm pretty sure this would be a non-issue in DarkSend . . but it sounds like there will be a public ledger visible for those that continue to choose to send non-anonymously.
I saw Riecoin claiming a workaround to transaction malleability had been implemented in their coin, but have no clue if it actually fixed the issue. I'm just thinking that this could easily invite some welcome coverage amongst major news articles like Gox being taken down because of it. Even if that wasn't the actual case . . thousands of people saw that and accept it. Might be worth looking into is all I'm trying to get across.
This hasn't been addressed yet by anyone, but it would be funny if in all that code re-write eduffield has done, he's corrected the problem, LOL. Maybe he can answer this question? |

Ubuntu 64bit, the newest download doesn't have the denominate button and is giving me the same error when I try to denominate that requires me to send 1 then 10 to my other wallet in order to denominate. "An error occurred created DarkSend compatible inputs. Error was Signing transaction failedAn error occurred created DarkSend compatible inputs. Error was Signing transaction failed" wallet version 8.9.5-1 Did it get updated? I downloaded twice from the pdf link, same thing  |

How? How can that be done? those selling really dont look at the amount being sold, they just want to sell their coin, so they go lower than the lowest sell order, even though alot of those sell orders are for 5 drk or 10 or 2 etc... if you pile enough of those downward and then put up a big buy order close to the lowest, then you can catch alot of "i want to sell my coins now" sellers Ah ha! brilliant! |

Ah okay, from the previous pop up message, I was expecting to see some values that I could send or something like that. Kinda like "you can send 10DRK / 12.55 DRK" or something lol.
That's actually a good idea! maybe next time eduffield can make a running total "available to darksend" somewhere on the wallet (there's tons of space) then people will also know when they need to denominate, which would keep people from constantly hitting that button and bloating the block chain |

I pressed the Demominate button. Entered my pass, it said "creating inputs"..... and a new 0.00DRK transfer was created. But I didn't see any amounts that I could send. Am I missing something? It makes inputs that are compatible with DarkSend and puts them in your wallet. Maybe I could mark the transaction somehow. You should be able to DarkSend now does this somehow go into the blockchain? someone earlier was hypothesizing that if, between darksends, a person denominates, then one could see the 'change' from a previous transaction that could be followed? |

I guess it goes without saying (or will give an error) that you must have 10 dark to darksend 1-10 coins, 100 drk to send 10-100 coins, etc... so if you have 9 dark and want to darksend 8, you won't be able to. |

I don't know why, I never do anything illegal, but I am anal about privacy. family members are tagging photos of me on facebook, and I cringe, I freak out! I can't explain it, but yes, I want my checkbook closed to outside eyes. I'm already exposed, I've lost my privacy. Anyone can find me if they wanted to. My Sister and Mother use their real names on facebook, I can't imagine doing that, LOL, but I am being worn down. However, I truly think that it's not a good thing. Why would i care about anonymous transactions? I don't know, I just do! It's not the one transaction, but the habits being recorded. Believe me, if there is a way for marketing people to do it, they'll figure out where you shop, what you buy, what boggles my mind is that so many people don't care! These services claim to be free, but they are anything but. You pay for free services by giving them your private data which they sell on. How much value do you place on your privacy is the question? Just like banking is not actually free. Someone pays, usually those that don't have money - penalty charges, interest on loans, low interest on savings, and other products that are not very competitive. If the real cost of banking was past on to everyone with a bank account, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Darkcoin would go mainstream in a heartbeat. Yes, I know that, its why I put only fake info there. Still, family puts their full names, date of birth, etc... and tag ME in photos, really? Must they? I only joined to talk to family in Europe, but never use it because it creeps me out. |

Marketing should follow "delivery" IMO. Right now it's not marketable, as it is. As for the price there's too much pull of BTCs from altcoins in general the past week. Way too many coins with a downward trend... DRK in particular, I feel there was a surge in mining-related dumping, due to being more profitable, but unlike other coins that have a daily equivalent of 100+ BTCs (which is hard to maintain price), you can buy the entire daily production of DRKs with something like 16-17 BTCs. So, despite the much better position of DRK in this regard, there are some "big dumpers" which, theoretically, have positioned themselves in DRK from the start with tens of thousands of coins - registering 50-100x in profit right now (apparently it's enough for them and want to liquidate). This supply of this type of cheaply acquired coins is not endless of course. And actually, this does us a favor by making DRK accessible to a lot more people. Most of us are in it for the long haul, and so the daily price means nothing other than a curiosity. But if this dumping is causing more individuals to buy a few, that'd be awesome! |

You guys should NOT OPEN SOURCE DARKCOIN. There a multitude of copycats waiting for copy Darkcoin's Darksend feature. If you opensource, it will be the fall/fail of darkcoin.
No company in their right mind open sources their projects, Ebay is not open sourced, Paypal is not open sourced, Dwolla not open sourced, Spotify not open sourced. The list goes on and on and on, 99% of all company are not open souced. Open sourcing your project would be plain stupid, UNLESS it's as popular as Bitcoin, whch would take a while.
So in the meantime, DO NOT OPENSOURCE DARKCOIN.

No, DarkSend is definitely going to be an opensource project. We'll do some audits and make sure there's nothing wrong with the concepts and code, then open it up. By the way, it's going to be about 10000 lines of code you would have to add to your coin. It's not easy and you could destroy your coin by adding it. So good luck, this isn't like adding KGW. I don't think there will be many coins with developers that confident in their abilities. There's literally not one file that I didn't rip apart to do this.
DarkSend being opensource isn't that big of a deal, I've dedicated at least a couple years of full time work to making this coin successful. Can any other coin compete with a full time dev? It's the innovation that makes a coin like this successful and there's alot of ideas out there I can implement after DarkSend. We'll have one hell of a coin.
DarkSend is backwards compatible with the underlying protocol, so your dev that's working on the paper wallet need not worry.
